0:27
I'm Jesse Dvorak oK you've got me
0:34
interested the closet or the contents of
0:36
the closet are the contents of the
0:39
closet oh my goodness
0:40
this is a treasure trove yeah are you
0:43
are you putting it on Etsy
0:47
the first item fred is gonna be done two
0:50
item by item wait a minute
0:52
I don't understand what you're in you're
0:55
a classically trained archivist yeah why
0:59
would you consider giving anything away
1:01
I'm not giving it away I mean I like
1:04
getting rid of anything I understand and
1:08
how did you come to this this is this is
1:11
big news it's shocking because I'm
1:13
worried about a couple of the items I
1:15
know they're gonna end up getting
1:16
damaged or something is gonna and they
1:18
should be in the hands of a capable
1:20
fellow archivist oh my goodness okay are
1:24
you gonna do an item per item and can we
1:25
discuss each one on a different episode
1:27
of the show yeah okay what's today what
1:31
do we have on the docket I have a
1:33
Microsoft Bob frisbee oh my goodness
1:43
okay we will be posting a picture later
1:45
of course I have it of this fine fine
1:48
the collector's item and what do you
1:51
hope to get for this item on today's
1:53
show Jon hundred bucks a hundred okay
1:59
great well and how many items do you
2:03
think you have how long will it take
2:05
about a year before we got here into
2:09
everything here in two years wow that's
2:11
fantastic I'm very excited about this
2:13
this estate stay estate sale estate
2:18
stank stank stank sale okay
2:24
oh by the way I should mention the
2:27
Microsoft Bob frisbee
2:28
he has never been flown it's just as
2:33
virgin it doesn't have plastic on it or
2:36
any other markings that they will prove
2:39
its virginity you can just look at it
2:42
entails never been used okay virgin Bob
2:46
everybody one hundred dollars can't wait
2:48
it's very exciting
2:51
well you know what since we're just kind
2:52
of getting off to a a different start
2:54
there was something that happened on the
2:56
last show that we as marketers branders
3:00
marketers advertising executives you
3:03
know should be kind of interested in yes
3:07
and as I'd like to put it marketeer
3:11
marketeers yes let me see okay right
3:21
away everything that I wanted to do of
3:23
course falls apart let me play for you
3:32
the piece from the show and Tina
3:35
actually called me kind of called me out
3:37
on this she said what was going on there
3:39
what it what exactly did you think you
3:41
recalled remembered what did you really
3:43
know what John was talking about this is
3:45
from twelve fourteen this is about the
3:47
Superbowl advertisements he had a lot of
3:50
screwy stuff too in the Google ad was
3:54
creepy that was like enjoyable cuz it
3:56
was so bad which one was that
3:57
which oh oh my gosh that was horrible
4:00
trying I just worst ad where I think it
4:02
was the worst dad yeah explain it again
4:04
I don't remember
4:09
creepy Google ad was not effective in
4:13
terms of memory no so here is what
4:17
happened I remember I because Tina asked
4:19
me did because use that you kind of
4:21
pretended like you knew what it was and
4:23
then you said John why don't you tell us
4:24
you're fully well knowing that I
4:25
wouldn't really remember what was going
4:27
on and then you didn't remember I was
4:30
immediately looking at the troll room to
4:34
see if they remember Tina told me about
4:36
this and said she didn't remember the ad
4:40
either so I figured we'd play the ad
4:44
[Music]
4:55
hey Google showed me photos of me and
4:58
Loretta do you remember what the ad was
5:00
oh yeah here's the nutty part the ad is
5:05
literally for a service that helps you
5:07
remember and neither you me the troll
5:10
room or my wife could remember the ad
5:13
this has to be some subliminal thing
5:16
that is wrong with this advertisement or
5:18
right with it say what all right with it
5:25
Oh what no but if they're trying if
5:27
they're trying to promote something to
5:30
help you remember you should at least
5:31
can't remember your brain so this is the
5:37
and the reason it was kind of creepy is
5:39
because it was clearly an old guy whose
5:41
wife had died and he's saying all you
5:43
ever remember all this google remember
5:46
it for me and then Google of course
5:47
remembers and will tell him and you know
5:50
it was just there's something about what
5:52
was going on that that no one remembered
5:55
the actual ad night I just wanted to put
5:57
that as a data point also a data point
6:00
to this comment okay here's the problem
6:02
what was with all these callbacks to the
6:05
60s and 70s how old was this audience
6:10
exactly that ad was for 80 year olds oh
6:16
that's an interesting connection yeah
6:21
anyway
6:22
well the audio call backs were annoying
6:24
I mean I mean they weren't to me I got
6:25
all of them but you know I'm sitting
6:27
there watching it with J and she's
6:28
looking at it going huh what do you
6:31
think that's about I didn't know there's
6:34
no way you would know I have to these
6:36
callbacks I mean they're all that was
6:37
missing was an F Troop to call back F
6:43
Troop that's even hard for me to
6:45
remember all right we have maybe before
6:50
we get into debates we do just something
6:52
a little more international for
6:54
everybody even seeing the the ratings of
6:57
the debates people don't care that much
6:59
more in America just as a as a little
7:02
debate subside interest well why don't
7:05
why don't we you want to do some Wuhan
7:07
flu to get that out of the way first
7:09
what do you got what I got I got this
7:16
guy he's a professor at University of
7:22
Chicago I think that's where he's from
7:24
his name is dr. Boyle he's actually the
7:27
guy Boyle have you heard of does his
7:30
first name Lance that would be funny
7:34
wouldn't it no let me see if I can find
7:37
his first Frant
7:39
well cliff Francis Boyle he is the and
7:43
he drafted the biological weapons act
7:49
and he still he still works at the at
7:53
the University at Chicago see which one
7:56
it is before we do well then before we
7:58
play that let's play the update on PBS
8:00
of the coronavirus story that came out
8:02
on Saturday and they'll go right into
8:04
that okay and it's titled run a virus
8:07
update Saturday all right here we go
8:10
US officials announced today that an
8:12
American citizen has died from the
8:13
corona virus in the Chinese city of
8:15
Wuhan the 60 year-old woman who died on
8:18
Thursday reportedly had underlying
8:20
health issues before becoming the first
8:22
known American fatality from the illness
8:24
as the death toll rises and the virus
8:27
spreads authorities from around the
8:28
world are taking strict precautions to
8:30
slow the spread of the deadly disease
8:32
Hong Kong said today that it will begin
8:34
enforcing a mandatory quarantine for
8:36
anyone arriving from mainland China and
8:40
3,700 people are being ordered to remain
8:42
aboard a cruise ship for 14 days after
8:46
64 passengers tested positive for the
8:48
virus
8:49
the corona virus has infected nearly
8:51
35,000 people globally since it was
8:53
first detected in December right so the
8:56
the main issues the things that that I'm
8:58
hearing but of course have no evidence
9:00
of because we really don't know how
9:01
honest the Communist Party of China is
9:05
being that every number you hear you
9:07
should probably just multiply it by 10
9:08
that's the general consensus among
9:10
people discussing it at great length dr.
9:14
Francis Boyle has drafted the US
9:17
domestic implement implementing
9:20
legislation for the biological weapons
9:22
convention known as the bio lab
9:23
biological weapons anti-terrorism Act of
9:25
1989 that was approved by both house the
9:28
US and signed the law by HW Bush and he
9:32
really doesn't get on mainstream media
9:34
anymore I'm not sure why I have a
9:36
feeling that he might have said
9:38
something during SARS that pissed
9:39
somebody off and they just ignored so he
9:42
shows up on all kinds of other podcasts
9:45
and radio shows this is this is my
9:47
favorite radio station kay poo KP oo a
9:51
familiar with capo FM k poo everybody
9:57
serious I routinely monitor outbreaks of
10:01
disease around the world we'll both for
10:04
humans and animals to see if there might
10:08
be a biological warfare agent at work so
10:12
I followed what was going on there at
10:16
Wuhan and eventually reached the
10:20
conclusion that what we are dealing here
10:24
is an offense and biological warfare
10:28
agent that leaked out of the Wuhan
10:32
biosafety level four
10:37
let's back up now you're asking the
10:40
rhetorical question at the beginning of
10:42
this clip why they don't bring this guy
10:45
on he seems to be marginalized yes I
10:51
think he was marginalized before the
10:54
Wuhan outbreak it here's his full
10:58
credits bachelor he's not a he's not a
11:01
medical doctor which makes it a little
11:03
more interesting slash challenging
11:06
Bachelor of Arts University of Chicago
11:08
JD magna cum laude from Harvard Law
11:12
School Master of Arts Doctor of
11:13
Philosophy else from Harvard so he's he
11:18
is not a medically sound like a very
11:21
smart person well yes you get a JD from
11:24
Harvard magna cum laude you're not no
11:26
slouch but again here he is saying stuff
11:31
that for whatever reason including
11:33
widespread panic is not allowed on them
11:36
for them that leap out of the Wuhan
11:39
biosafety level for laboratory there
11:44
that has been DNA genetically engineered
11:49
with gain-of-function properties that
11:53
simply accelerates the DNA genetically
11:57
engineering for a bio warfare agent in
12:02
the first place and as far as I can tell
12:05
right now Steve just having read the
12:08
public record it does appear is if it's
12:12
a combination of what's called a camera
12:15
that basically you have the SARS and we
12:20
know that that facility has previously
12:22
worked with stars and stars leaked out
12:25
of there at least twice before combined
12:28
with the flu virus and appears also are
12:32
combined with HIV that you know leads to
12:36
AIDS at a minimum here's probably why it
12:40
got marginalized October 26 2010 boils
12:46
sharply criticized Barack Obama and
12:48
Hillary Clinton
12:50
stating that quote Obama was bought and
12:52
paid for by Zionists
12:54
that's why Rahm Emanuel was his chief of
12:56
staff until just recently when he
12:58
decided to run for mayor of Chicago a
12:59
man yell was bought and paid for it to
13:01
be put in there the same way Dennis Ross
13:03
and the white house mrs. Clinton sold
13:05
her soul to the Zionists in New York to
13:07
get elected as senator from New York
13:09
yeah I think that is what kind of to
13:11
kicked-off means that gotta fly that
13:14
doesn't work so here's the second part
13:15
of his his analysis it's my opinion it
13:19
you know it's extremely dangerous the
13:22
Chinese government the first case was
13:24
December 1st it had nothing at all to do
13:26
with the you know the food central their
13:30
that's just baloney and propaganda
13:33
clearly the son Chinese government knew
13:35
about it probably right around December
13:37
1 the first human to human transition
13:41
transmission was December 15 so the
13:44
Chinese government has been lying about
13:46
it since then this is a specially
13:50
designated WH old research lab now
13:54
imagine that the w-h-o especially
13:57
designating a bio warfare lab so the
14:02
whu-oh is in on this
14:04
these bsl-4 facilities are only good for
14:07
research developing testing and
14:09
stockpiling biological warfare weapons
14:14
so of course we don't know and I take
14:16
this guy's word for it no worse or
14:20
better than anybody else's and no one
14:22
really has information the question is
14:27
if this did it really just leaked out if
14:30
this was some flu or some some virus it
14:35
appears as as many if now the scene that
14:38
appears to really affect Chinese and men
14:42
in particular and even was the han
14:43
province is that the is an ethnic
14:48
subculture of the Chinese it's a genetic
14:51
difference in Han Chinese and the the
14:54
all the way the other ones the Tibetan
14:58
Chinese the Mongols and all the rest are
15:00
all different in some little genetic way
15:02
in Han is the
15:04
ones that are Chinese so we think of as
15:06
Chinese and so and the han are they
15:08
really only in the Wuhan region are they
15:10
every no no haunts all of China they're
15:12
all of China Chinese okay so let's like
15:17
that's the big problem you Jeff after
15:19
playing that clip you might as well play
15:20
this one which i think is it brings some
15:23
light to this clip this is the dead
15:24
Chinese doctor clip yeah yeah yeah
15:27
exactly
15:28
the Chinese doctor who warned the
15:31
government about a possible corona virus
15:33
outbreak has died after contracting the
15:36
virus while working at Wuhan central
15:37
hospital 34 year old ophthalmologist Li
15:41
wen Lang warned his fellow medical
15:43
workers about corona virus on December
15:46
30th
15:46
he was then investigated by police and
15:49
accused of making false comments his
15:52
death has sparked a wave of anger and
15:54
outrage in China where the hashtag we
15:57
want freedom of speech went viral on
15:59
Chinese social media site Weibo on
16:02
Thursday well it would make sense if it
16:07
really only attacks the hon hon Chinese
16:12
Itchy and the hon Chad Chinese because
16:15
Trump doesn't seem overly worried what
16:17
we also are not hearing is people who
16:19
are in the United States and other
16:20
countries that have the virus we have
16:24
lots of Americans who are Chinese
16:26
Americans and and I think the many of
16:28
the cases may be Chinese Americans and
16:32
not necessarily anglo-saxon Americans or
16:35
whatever the do whatever the none of
16:37
they won't give the ethnic makeup of the
16:40
woman who died the first American who
16:42
died the six-year-old woman
16:43
and they just won't give her a name out
16:46
which might indicate what I think
16:48
generally speaking will give you some
16:49
indication at the same time on Thursday
16:53
not long after we did the show Bloomberg
16:57
came out with a report US President
17:00
Donald Trump and president Chinese
17:02
President Xi Jinping reaffirmed their
17:05
commitment to implementing the phase 1
17:07
trade deal signed between the two
17:09
countries last month you recall that I
17:10
had put questions to their force majeure
17:14
clause which said hey if were
17:16
if some happens and you know some freak
17:19
of nature or something we can't help
17:21
then we can go back to the negotiating
17:22
table so that may have been what that
17:24
was about the two presidents agreed to
17:26
continue extensive communication and
17:28
cooperation between both sides the White
17:31
House said and readout of the leaders
17:32
call on Friday they also noted the great
17:35
achievement of the recent United States
17:37
China phase one trade deal and
17:38
reaffirmed their commitment to its
17:40
implementation and if it true if it
17:43
really is something that does not affect
17:45
many outside of Han Chinese DNA Trump is
17:50
in a fantastic position to put the
17:53
screws to the Chinese and get anything
17:55
we want because I think that this is
17:58
going to affect their economy and their
18:01
output much more severely than expected
18:04
I mean do you ever does that that
18:07
affects us too cuz you like you said yes
18:09
yes yes Just In Time nonsense yes
18:12
exactly
18:13
what so besides I guess they got some
18:15
auto industry a lot of
18:18
telecommunications fiber optics from
18:20
what I understand comes out of Wuhan and
18:23
lo and behold what does Bill Barr do at
18:27
was this some think-tank that he was
18:29
speaking at earlier this week in other
18:31
countries that do not want to put their
18:33
economic fate in China's hands are not
18:35
going to install always infrastructure
18:37
we have to have a market ready
18:40
alternative today you need a system that
18:43
will allow you to seamlessly migrate
18:46
your installed 4G base to unit to 5j
18:50
there have been some proposals that
18:52
these concerns could be met by the
18:55
United States aligning itself with Nokia
18:58
and/or Ericsson to American ownership of
19:01
a controlling stake either directly or
19:04
through a consortium of private American
19:06
and allied companies the main concern
19:09
about these suppliers is that they have
19:12
neither huawei's scale nor the backing
19:16
of a powerful country with a large
19:18
embedded market like China putting our
19:21
large market and financial muscle behind
19:24
one one or both of these firms would
19:27
make it a far more form
19:30
competitor and eliminate concerns over
19:33
its staying power or their staying power
19:35
we and our closest allies certainly need
19:39
to be actively considering this approach
19:42
pretty interesting words from the
19:44
Attorney General I mean no well the only
19:49
thing I can read into it is hey finally
19:52
we've got a chance to get rid of those
19:54
pesky Huawei dudes here's what we do
19:57
hey what if you're interested investing
19:59
in nokia or Ericsson we'll back yeah
20:02
we'll put some money into your company
20:04
no worries we need to have that it seems
20:07
like you're right about that yeah but it
20:09
seems like the timing is kind of ha
20:12
let's do it now you should be a story
20:15
going around I heard this from a
20:17
different at least two different sources
20:19
that the whole Huawei and this also by
20:23
the way was the way Sun Microsystems
20:24
used to do business but not under on the
20:28
not in such a sneaky way hmm is that the
20:33
wall always spent most of their time
20:34
doing due diligence on where Ericsson
20:37
was going to sell product right and as
20:40
soon as this they did follow the sales
20:42
guys around for all practical purposes
20:44
and when the guys left they'd go into
20:46
the company say what did you Ericsson
20:48
bid yes yes yes well I just find it all
20:54
very coincidental the timing of it is
20:57
obviously good for us in that regard you
21:00
know he had what says the Commerce
21:02
Secretary Wilber who said we have to
21:06
produce stuff here if they shut down I I
21:08
think something's coming I really do
21:11
that they're not only anytime soon back
21:13
let's go back to analyzing the
21:15
possibility now why first of all this go
21:17
back to the virus itself
21:19
now there's another rumor that showed up
21:21
floated around about how it was like
21:23
something developed or found or
21:26
discovered or something in the Middle
21:28
East yes it Jordan specifically now is
21:32
it possible that they this is not a was
21:36
maybe a bio weapon but not developed by
21:39
the Chinese because it makes zero sense
21:40
to me here as the Chinese would
21:43
develop a bio weapon aimed it down if
21:46
you recall the first one of the first
21:48
times we were talking about it
21:49
identified was the AC e2
21:53
DNA marker I don't know if I'm using the
21:55
right terms but AC to AC e 2 and that is
21:59
prevalent in Asian so Don Chinese I'm
22:03
not a DNA specialist so I'm shooting
22:05
from the hip but also apparently an
22:08
Ashkenazi it's possible that it was
22:11
initially some kind of either I don't
22:14
know about Jordan but I would say maybe
22:16
Saudi Arabia or some other some other
22:19
not friend of Israel who set it up for
22:22
them wow that's good now we're getting
22:27
there everybody you are on the 23andme
22:36
DNA report has a scan Ozzy you may want
22:39
to be careful around coughing people it
22:41
could hurt you so because it makes no
22:45
sense to me that the Chinese are gonna
22:47
develop a bio is that maybe it's a but
22:49
maybe they had them they had it and they
22:51
were analyzing it and there's just a
22:53
sloppy operation and one of the guys
22:55
caught it walked around town for a while
22:57
the market and wherever and started
23:00
getting out and then this other guy he
23:02
identified it and then that they cracked
23:04
down on him as fast as they could
23:05
because the government knew what they
23:07
were doing and they didn't want yeah yes
23:09
that's possibly that's the only reason
23:11
you why would you send call the police
23:13
on this poor this whistleblower the way
23:16
they did unless you knew it was going on
23:18
so they knew it was going on even though
23:20
they acted like they didn't and now you
23:23
know now they got a problem cuz they
23:24
have to I don't think you can I don't
23:27
know maybe I'm wrong but I it's I can't
23:29
imagine
23:30
cordoning off 11 million people in the
23:33
city of Wuhan and and letting that and
23:36
having that work for more than a week or
23:38
two before people just start burning
23:40
down the place apparently now the they
23:44
filled they filled up community centers
23:47
and sports halls with beds and this is
23:53
what I've heard understood from
23:55
biologists this is
23:57
if you don't have a vaccine pretty much
23:59
the only thing you can do is put people
24:02
together and and wait for it to quote
24:04
run its course so herd immunity starts
24:08
to take hold and then it passes so you
24:11
know this also isn't really you know
24:13
there's nothing being reported this is
24:14
the this is the problem because
24:15
everyone's like that's all that we hear
24:20
here so you know I got a watch sky and
24:23
RT and al Jazeera and and I and I tried
24:27
to get the clip from the World Health
24:29
Organization press conference which
24:32
literally they're like okay I'm gonna do
24:34
a press conference on the website click
24:36
the raise my hand button or press star
24:38
nine if you want to ask the question and
24:40
they had no statement it was just
24:42
questions you couldn't hear then there's
24:44
a bunch of people who you almost could
24:46
not understand including the the the
24:51
chief of this meeting I will read to you
24:53
from the BBC what they didn't even take
24:55
a clip of it it was so unclip about the
24:59
what's his name here dr. Ted drew said I
25:02
would like to speak briefly about the
25:04
importance of facts not fear people must
25:06
have access to accurate information to
25:08
protect themselves and others
25:10
misinformation he says at the World
25:12
Health Organization we're not just
25:14
battling the virus we're also battling
25:16
the trolls and conspiracy theories that
25:18
undermine our response that's us as a
25:24
guardian newspaper headline says the US
25:27
has a guardian newspaper headline says
25:29
today misinformation on the corona virus
25:31
might be the most contagious thing about
25:33
it so exactly we really don't know
25:37
anything and all the World Health
25:39
Organization keeps saying is oh good job
25:42
good job
25:43
and also I'm so sorry I couldn't clip it
25:46
just was inaudible they're the ones that
25:49
contacted Facebook and Twitter and said
25:52
could you please remove stuff that is
25:54
disinformation that's how Zero Hedge got
25:57
banned the World Health Organization did
25:59
that
26:00
so there's this you know if you don't
26:04
have any kind of information and my
26:06
goodness how many times we have to go
26:08
through these epidemics pandemics before
26:10
they figure out how to communicate so
26:13
yeah this is what you get you get to
26:15
conspiracy theories inquest match what
26:17
the conspiracy theories must be like in
26:20
the city of Wuhan itself so people must
26:22
be freaking out this poor people yeah we
26:26
got one of our producers is in not in
26:28
Wuhan yeah professor Jones you me see
26:33
where is he acts I think he's in
26:35
Shanghai but he lives there
26:37
after you notes about what's happening
26:39
in some Chinese cities house to house
26:41
welfare checks I had a woman come to my
26:43
apartment C's in Shanghai my department
26:45
woman come to my apartment complex
26:47
walking door-to-door asking if people
26:49
are sick or taking temperatures I told
26:51
her in Mandarin we do not have a problem
26:53
and she smiled and went away in when Zoo
26:55
where I used to live that's great isn't
26:58
it
26:58
in when Zoo where I used to live a
27:02
metropolitan area of about ten million
27:03
people has only 1500 confirmed cases of
27:07
corona virus but since February 3rd the
27:10
entire city is on lockdown people not
27:13
allowed to leave their house unless they
27:15
have the pass the Travel Pass is given
27:18
per household one person is allowed to
27:21
leave the house once every three days we
27:25
repeat that from a whole household one
27:28
person is allowed to leave the house
27:30
once every three days so my friend can
27:32
go to the grocery store on Monday but
27:34
can't leave the house again until
27:35
Thursday the only exception is if you're
27:37
going to the hospital many cities do not
27:40
allow more than two people to be in
27:41
proximity a group of about six men were
27:44
playing mahjong they were all wearing
27:46
masks a cop came in smashed the tables
27:48
with a hammer he was posted to WeChat
27:51
undoubtedly some other person reported
27:52
them as quote congregating this is a
27:55
super snitch country I have no idea in
27:59
which city it was but there are a few in
28:01
addition to Wuhan hyung Xue and when Xue
28:03
that have instituted a forced curfew and
28:06
no associated Association order and a no
28:08
Association order
28:10
all schools have been closed since
28:12
mid-january the last two weeks were part
28:14
of the regular Chinese New Year holiday
28:15
but kids will not go back to school
28:17
until March 3rd at the earliest
28:19
most of the xpac teachers have left
28:22
China before the holiday the then
28:24
another group left China in the last
28:25
week of January subsequently places like
28:28
the Philippines Taiwan Australia have
28:30
banned Chinese or people who were in
28:32
China for the preceding two weeks
28:34
just today Thailand is refusing entry to
28:36
allow anyone from China and they're too
28:38
busy killing people over there
28:39
furthermore many of my work colleagues
28:41
cannot return to Shanghai anytime soon
28:44
because so many flights have been
28:45
canceled from the UK Korea Philippines
28:47
etc I have access to a medical doctor in
28:50
Wenzhou he's from South Africa he's
28:52
conveyed that his hospital is not
28:54
treating people with high doses of
28:56
vitamin C they are not giving people
28:59
vitamin d3 they are not giving selenium
29:02
Ono instead are they're not giving
29:04
selenium chromium magnesium or zinc
29:07
instead the standard protocol is just
29:09
recycled antiviral drugs those drugs are
29:12
simply a non organic derivation of
29:15
essential fatty acids like is a tough
29:18
one for me phosphor died Tech black line
29:23
without the phosphorus in inocentes
29:25
readon lastly we can walk around the
29:28
streets of Shanghai with impunity most
29:30
people are going out even though most
29:32
businesses are closed only things that
29:34
are open are big-box stores grocery
29:36
stores bakeries gas stations and
29:39
hospitals the subway is running with
29:40
literally no one on the train
29:42
Shanghai all the tourist areas are
29:45
closed museums bars bookstores banking
29:47
as large electronics no effect there the
29:49
funny thing is watching people jog with
29:50
paper-thin masks or even smoking with
29:53
the Pats con that is all for now dr.
29:57
Jones from Shanghai that's Shanghai
29:59
that's not even a report yeah it's good
30:03
dynamite report you know one of those
30:05
reports yeah we need as many as we can
30:06
get that is a good report because it
30:08
does indicate that he brought up a
30:10
couple of interesting points that then
30:11
there's there is a sense that these this
30:15
Chinese specific aspect of this or
30:18
Chinese targeted because anybody could
30:20
get this yeah but Chinese target
30:24
is is it's in the it's in the its
30:29
underlying that entire report exactly
30:32
people are sensing this or they know
30:33
this or they already this it's exactly
30:36
there's got to be some some partial
30:38
truth to it because it's just from
30:40
almost day one we've seen you know this
30:42
actual matter they look real the pub the
30:46
publication's of what's in it they sure
30:48
look pretty official I don't know know
30:53
what I'm gonna be this story's gonna go
30:56
on for at least two months the question
30:58
is what will happen this applied doesn't
31:00
I think Wuhan also manufactures a
31:04
substantial amount of pharmaceuticals is
31:06
that possible
31:08
anything's possible right now I thought
31:11
maybe we could get some shortages of
31:13
things I mean this it's not just steel
31:17
and iPhones you know there's other stuff
31:19
that comes out of the and Pfizer stuff
31:22
yeah
31:23
well this would be a good lesson for a
31:24
lot of people and that's there we are
31:32
with our racist jingles as always yeah
31:35
somebody's got to do it
31:38
well uh onward to what's next on this I
31:42
got some crazy stuff well do you want to
31:44
if a little review or this a couple guns
31:46
on my Pietschmann stuff we got debates
31:48
we I've got some serious stuff which
31:51
needs to be discussed and nobody in the
31:53
mainstream media is discussing it you do
31:55
get it here and there for AJ I got it
31:57
from you want to do that first let's do
31:59
some serious stuff all the way back we
32:02
don't nobody knows what's going on there
32:03
all hell's breaking loose yeah is this
32:05
with the Russians is are they in bored
32:07
the Turks is it crap going on between
32:09
them well here let's listen to start
32:11
with this when I got three clips mm-hmm
32:13
I have one from a here's one from Al
32:16
Jazeera and this is D and this is all
32:18
happening in Eid Lib Syria mess it live
32:22
AJ the United Nations has long warned
32:24
that the last and most bloody chapter of
32:27
Syria's brutal
32:29
could take place in Eid liberal the
32:31
Security Council have now been told that
32:33
is happening we are witnessing the
32:36
humanitarian catastrophe that the
32:38
secretary-general has warned of this is
32:41
causing totally unacceptable human
32:44
suffering and endangering international
32:46
peace and security the bombing and
32:49
shelling have forced hundreds of
32:51
thousands more people to move in the
32:55
attempt to find safety we now estimate
32:58
that 586 thousand people have moved in
33:03
the last two months
33:05
they are mostly children this emergency
33:09
meeting was called by the u.s. France
33:11
and the UK I think the worst nightmare
33:13
on it Lib has come to pass a US
33:18
counterpart ended her speech with these
33:21
words I want to close now by speaking
33:24
directly to the Syrian people yes these
33:27
are dark days that there can be no doubt
33:30
but you are not alone and you are not
33:33
forgotten but after nine years of war no
33:36
one could blame the people of hid Lib
33:38
for feeling abandoned and betrayed by
33:41
the world the Security Council has not
33:43
protected them in fact one permanent
33:46
member is directly militarily involved
33:49
in the onslaught they're facing James
33:52
BAE's al Jazeera at the United Nations
33:56
I'm looking at ed Lib which is in a
34:00
weird place it's between Aleppo and Homs
34:04
which kind of rules out the traditional
34:06
pipeline routes you know what is that oh
34:09
okay here we go
34:11
how Russia and Turkey are eyeing new
34:14
deals on a blip in Libya okay yeah Italy
34:21
and Libya yeah I think that the maybe
34:24
this is part of their to Turk Street in
34:27
Libya that those two guys are getting
34:29
involved just look at them these two
34:33
gangsters they're involved in anything
34:35
and everything they can get their hands
34:36
on okay my situation with over a half a
34:41
million people displaced and the mostly
34:44
kids is just not not acceptable but it's
34:47
not even playing on democracy now these
34:50
stories this is like completely ever
34:52
since Trump somehow and I believe you
34:56
have to give him some credit for this
34:58
got us out of that mess yeah I think we
35:02
still have people there but generally
35:03
speaking I think we're out and the Turks
35:06
have somehow taken over and they're
35:08
fighting the Russians now it's
35:10
ridiculous let's play this second clip
35:12
which is Syria mess this is I are
35:15
turkish President Erdogan said Turkey
35:17
and Russia should resolve differences
35:19
over the conflict in Syria's I'd live
35:21
without anger after a deadly flare-up in
35:24
violence challenged the fragile
35:26
cooperation between Moscow and Ankara
35:28
the two countries support opposing sides
35:32
in Syria's nearly nine-year war in a
35:35
phone call on Tuesday Putin and Derwin
35:37
highlighted the need to follow Russia
35:39
Turkey agreements on it live that
35:41
envisage increasing cooperation to
35:44
neutralize extremists the Kremlin said
35:47
turkeys report on the same phone calls
35:49
said that Edwin told Putin the turkey
35:52
will use its self-defense rights in the
35:54
event of another attack on Turkish
35:56
military personnel in Syria at the
35:59
United Nations on Tuesday Secretary
36:01
General Antonio Guterres called for an
36:04
end to hostilities to keep the situation
36:06
from getting out of control the Russian
36:09
Defense Ministry said that the Turkish
36:11
troops were hit because of their failure
36:13
to communicate with the Russian military
36:16
it could be yeah with them thing is of
36:18
course Turkey thinks they got NATO
36:20
behind him and if they call Article five
36:23
we're kind of obliged to go in and Ooo
36:25
Ooo gasp fight the Russians on behalf of
36:28
the Turks the last one is this real
36:36
screwball story which is again making
36:39
things even more complicated this is the
36:41
Syrian mess with Israel involved so
36:45
later in the week oh I'm sorry
36:47
on this one we're learning that Israeli
36:51
airstrikes in syria may have prompted
36:53
local air defenses that almost shot down
36:57
a passenger jet the plane was on its way
36:59
from Tehran in Iran to the Syrian
37:02
capital of Damascus on Thursday with a
37:04
hundred and seventy two aboard it was
37:07
forced to make an emergency landing at a
37:09
Russian military base in Syria the
37:11
Russian government announced the
37:12
near-miss only on Friday Russia says the
37:16
plane came under fire from Syrian air
37:18
defenses who were responding to the
37:20
Israeli air strikes and it comes only a
37:24
month after the Ukrainian passenger
37:26
plane that was accidentally shot down by
37:28
Iran killing everyone on board Russia
37:32
did not name the airline but flight data
37:34
shows it was a syrian sharm wings flight
37:37
sean was hit with US sanctions in 2016
37:40
for allegedly transporting pro-assad
37:42
fighters to Syria and sending weapons
37:44
and equipment
37:48
how can turkey still remain in the NATO
37:51
didn't they just didn't they buy all
37:52
this Russian stuffed and thereby the
37:54
s400 anti-aircraft missiles or yeah soon
38:00
and meanwhile right you're fighting
38:01
Russia with Russia's gear I mean very
38:08
very crazy I mean I'd like to see some
38:10
growth and analysis here and there's
38:12
just like completely
38:14
it's hard to imagine it being under the
38:16
radar after all the serious serious
38:18
serious stuff but there it's baffling
38:21
you know it's bad well it's not
38:22
important
38:24
it's not about Trump that's not more my
38:27
god man and I there's just there's
38:29
nothing you can watch in America that is
38:32
the that or originates here even you
38:35
know BBC America it's all Trump Trump
38:37
the oh it's so such a disservice such a
38:46
disservice I'd like to know more about
38:49
this this seems to be a little more than
38:51
your typical proxy war this seems to be
38:53
something real that's going on yeah and
38:57
we don't want it like we don't even have
38:59
to be involved in the rubble ization
39:01
continues in that great these guys don't
39:06
do it who's gonna go and rebuild do we
39:08
still get to go in and rebuild I don't
39:11
think so when the rebuilding begins you
39:13
call on Bechtel I've gotten several
39:18
emails about the situation in Australia
39:24
with the with the with the rain and
39:28
here's here's an example sir Ned Knight
39:30
is the convict broadcasts says I
39:33
remember awhile ago there was some
39:34
discussion about how once the rain stick
39:36
get gets used on one location it stays
39:38
there and the power of the rain stick
39:40
can build up over time I don't think we
39:42
actually discussed anything like that
39:43
but then he says so while we appreciate
39:46
the efforts of the rain stick in
39:48
stopping the fires around Sydney please
39:51
use it somewhere else it's been pissing
39:53
down non-stop for three to four days
39:56
everything is flooded I have no power
39:58
please make it stop dear sir Ned I quote
40:03
I believe it may be neat you the gods
40:07
are most cruel when they grant our
40:09
wishes and I wish I could change it but
40:13
there's no we we don't have a reverse
40:15
rain stick there isn't and it's a
40:17
drought stick I'm sorry with and we
40:21
maybe it was those three extra shakes I
40:23
gave when we did it and now I won't do
40:25
that ever again Adams fault
40:27
I thought Australia would be able to
40:29
handle it you know tough down under Aziz
40:31
this is a knife no no crying of course I
40:38
have sympathy for what you're going
40:40
through I see the pictures too
40:41
but at least you're not burning alive so
40:46
we do have a story in this Thailand
40:48
shooting I got a PBS thing on that with
40:51
an ISO yeah this is uh this is an
40:56
unresolved story wasn't there something
41:00
last year that also happened in in
41:02
Thailand weird shootings that take place
41:05
so here's the play there's Thailand
41:07
shooting and then I think you'll be
41:09
amused by the ISO an Army sergeant in
41:11
Thailand killed at least 20 people and
41:13
injured more than 30 others during a
41:14
mass shooting today
41:17
police say the man killed another
41:19
soldier and a woman over a land dispute
41:21
at a military base before driving to a
41:23
shopping mall he fired shots along the
41:26
way and reportedly posted updates to his
41:28
Facebook page people in the multi-story
41:30
mall about 150 miles northeast of
41:33
Bangkok were trapped for hours it was
41:35
unclear how many were injured or killed
41:37
at the mall shortly before midnight
41:39
police secured the building and more
41:41
than 100 people were evacuated the
41:44
gunman reportedly had an assault rifle
41:46
but as of late today there was no word
41:49
on whether he had been captured okay
41:51
what was the ISO well here's an to show
41:54
ISO suggestion happy ISO ending by the
42:05
way the the ISO from the last show
42:08
people have been saying oh can you
42:10
please post it I I really I really want
42:13
to get to be able to say it right I want
42:14
to say it right if the backup in the
42:16
back of the back of the backup that's
42:19
the one everybody loves a backup and a
42:21
backup to that backup and a backup to
42:22
the backup to the backup that is what
42:24
exactly what they did at at the Iowa
42:27
caucus or a backup and a backup to that
42:30
backup and a backup to the backup to the
42:31
backup
42:32
a gun hey your thought I was gonna say
42:37
good so we do have a little update MSNBC
42:43
when in full force as I as far as I
42:45
understand the actual results still have
42:48
not been published this is now what it's
42:51
eight days or this is seven days almost
42:54
a week later they've they have not just
42:56
not been published
42:57
can I play this clip because yes you're
43:00
right and I've come up with my own
43:02
thesis on this this is the fraud play
43:06
this book this is a hanky-panky in Iowa
43:08
plus Sanders in election news Democratic
43:12
National Committee Chair Tom Perez is
43:14
calling for a recanvass as some of the
43:16
voting precincts in Iowa at the latest
43:19
caucus results shows senator Bernie
43:21
Sanders and South Bend Indiana Mayor
43:23
Picabo to judge virtually tied with a
43:26
hundred percent of the results now
43:27
reported Sanders is still leading in the
43:30
popular vote by thousands but Budaj edge
43:33
maintains a tenth of a percentage point
43:35
advantage in what's known as the state
43:37
delegate equivalent race but the New
43:40
York Times is calling even these results
43:43
into question after its investigation
43:45
found the results released by the Iowa
43:47
Democratic Party were quote riddled with
43:49
inconsistencies and other flaws unquote
43:52
on Thursday senator Sanders declared
43:55
victory in Iowa this is Sanders
43:58
responding to a reporter's question when
44:00
he had moved on to new hampshire mayor
44:03
Pete's been declaring a win for days now
44:06
why should people believe your victory
44:08
speech over his because I got six
44:11
thousand more votes
44:13
from where I come when you get six
44:15
thousand more votes that's generally
44:16
regarded to be the winner latest polls
44:19
show senator Sanders is leading in New
44:21
Hampshire where seven Democratic
44:23
presidential candidates will take the
44:25
stage for a debate tonight ahead of the
44:28
Tuesday primary yes exactly what we
44:30
discussed is that the numbers for the
44:34
actual the what we would call the
44:36
popular vote were not even published
44:38
this was only about the delegate count
44:40
and some have surmised and we may have
44:43
even talked about it
44:44
this would be a a good scapegoat to get
44:48
people all fired up about getting rid of
44:50
those pesky electoral college mating
44:56
deaths an element but I think the real
44:58
element being uncovered is if we look
45:00
more and more at it once they came up
45:02
with the app yeah
45:05
perhaps the app was honest and the app
45:08
worked but but because Iowa has been the
45:13
Iowa Democrats have been corrupt from
45:16
the get-go they're the ones who
45:18
sidelined Bernie the last time Bernie
45:20
was act about what the results were and
45:22
that's why Bernie put people in all the
45:24
caucuses to really yep it's possible the
45:28
app had the right numbers as oh my god
45:31
we can't have this because we want this
45:33
guy to win or we want that guy that went
45:35
or in the olden days Hillary or whoever
45:37
else it was it's possible that the Iowa
45:39
caucus system was just bad and corrupt
45:43
and the band the app proved it here's an
45:46
MSNBC report on the app this is from
45:49
Thursday so it was on the last show day
45:51
so take that into account so we had ups
45:53
here well is incredible that after all
45:55
the cybersecurity concerns and concerns
45:57
about Russian interference and the
45:59
threat of hacking that the app has
46:02
actually been leaked we were able to get
46:05
a copy of the app from one of the Iowa
46:07
precinct managers and actually download
46:09
it I actually have a copy of it on this
46:11
phone here downloaded here in in New
46:14
York just so amazing and we sent it to
46:18
analysts who found that the coating was
46:20
rushed that there was some design and
46:23
technical considerations that were
46:25
there were problematic and yet still
46:27
this app was was rushed into use the
46:30
biggest issue this is such a detailed
46:32
report isn't it while the core
46:34
functionality of that of the very kind
46:36
of simple basic app look to be okay
46:39
there was an issue coding issue on the
46:41
back end how that data was being
46:43
transferred to the Iowa Democratic Party
46:45
servers this is this is the big NBC News
46:48
organization they have so many resources
46:51
they can't tell us anything other than
46:54
well you'll yeah was rushed it was
46:56
rushed how do you know it if a developer
46:58
rushed to put it together did you did
47:01
you actually have the source code are
47:02
you just looking at like some API that
47:04
it's talking to it's this is a very low
47:08
grade report that's the key issue the
47:11
other thing that we saw because we got
47:13
the email copies of the email chain sent
47:15
from the developers shadow Inc and Iowa
47:18
Democratic Party to these precinct
47:20
chairs giving them multiple layers of
47:22
information complicated instructions
47:25
asking a lot of the precinct chairs to
47:27
do on their phones on their on their
47:29
Apple phones and their and their Android
47:31
phones and just looks like a rush job
47:33
and just poor deployment you can't
47:36
forget that for all the consideration
47:38
about cybersecurity issues election has
47:40
a lot more than just cybersecurity
47:43
we're talking about real people on the
47:44
ground rang asked to change settings on
47:47
your phone go into their phone and
47:48
change to allow these outside apps that
47:51
the the phone was telling them what was
47:53
not safe you got to do that groundwork
47:56
to train people in advance and people
47:58
are telling us that there just was not
47:59
enough training okay so I think we can
48:02
discount everything from this guy's
48:04
report except for two pieces one he was
48:07
about what was happening on the backend
48:08
which pretty much has once the app sends
48:11
the data unless it never sent the data
48:14
then the shenanigans were on the back
48:17
end and I think the real on-the-ground
48:20
trouble is an oversight and a stupid one
48:22
at that that they probably does not have
48:26
they're predominately Android app signed
48:30
for the store so you downloaded it not
48:33
from the App Store from the Google Play
48:35
Store whatever it is
48:36
downloaded from their server and your
48:39
Android phone most people's phones not
48:41
the typical no agenda dude named Ben
48:44
phone will say do you are you sure you
48:48
want to give permission to this app that
48:50
is not officially sanctioned by Google
48:52
and people will freak out so I think
48:55
that's probably true but I'm with you
48:57
this is bullcrap and the fact that NBC
49:00
pushed this this out is there a
49:01
technical report almost matches the
49:06
insane notion that the problems yeah the
49:11
app was a problem but it was really true
49:14
so we have some brand new reporting
49:16
we're scooping right here on NBC News
49:17
about what went wrong in Iowa and why a
49:19
hundred percent of those caucus results
49:21
still are not in here's the deal we're
49:23
learning more about why the phone lines
49:24
used to report results were flooded
49:27
Monday night it wasn't just caucus
49:29
organizers the Iowa Democratic Party
49:31
tells us there were also a bunch of
49:32
Trump supporters apparently calling in
49:34
jamming things up The Times calling in
49:36
things up great reports from hostile
49:40
calls so where might those supporters
49:42
have gotten the idea or even the number
49:44
itself NBC is first to report this
49:46
apparently from one of the most extreme
49:48
far-right message boards on the internet
49:51
one we've talked about a lot on this
49:52
show called 4chan I think she's confused
49:57
with HM being the really far extreme
50:01
right but okay 4chan oh yeah that's
50:04
that's where it's happening he's
50:05
reporting that Trump supporters honestly
50:07
these 4chan sites were told to clog the
50:09
lines basically what's up yes there was
50:12
these posts that came out at like 10
50:13
o'clock roughly on Monday night that
50:16
said here's a phone number
50:17
clog the lines just stay on these lines
50:20
and you know what's the number it was
50:21
the number for though the people were
50:23
supposed to call native report' caucus
50:24
results that's exactly right and here's
50:25
the deal like it's easy to blame for 10
50:27
for this but for chain is kind of 4chan
50:28
right
50:29
hey John 4:10 it's going to 4chan right
50:33
this is NBC News NBC News the number it
50:38
was the number for calling in to report
50:40
caucus results that's exactly right and
50:41
here's the deal like it's easy to blame
50:43
also the guys have yeah he's a by the
50:45
way I would like to say this is the only
50:47
show
50:49
in broadcast media today we'll you will
50:52
not hear the phrase here's the deal or
50:54
at the end of the day and except for in
50:57
the clips this guy is clearly a Biden
51:00
man you know saying here's the deal
51:01
always been the deal here's the deal
51:04
that's only bite and says it constantly
51:06
that's a Biden ism number for the people
51:08
were supposed to call native report'
51:09
caucus result like that's exactly right
51:10
and here's the deal like it's easy to
51:12
blame for ten for this but for chain is
51:13
gonna 4chan right they left a door oh
51:15
this is like a saloon door of bad cyrus
51:18
Harry this is like it was wide open so a
51:20
saloon door of cyber security people
51:23
kept calling this number and at least
51:25
that's what they claimed on for ten but
51:26
now we have evidence from the party
51:28
itself that said look look
51:29
you know Trump supporters were calling
51:31
people calling just hanging up I feel an
51:34
end of the day coming either exampled
51:35
like prank calls basically we're not
51:38
sure if the IDS starter unfortunate but
51:39
it was definitely there on Monday night
51:41
there are posts prove it and we've
51:43
backed it up with a lot of reporting any
51:45
think you said 4chan is gonna fortunate
51:46
saying the 4chan is gonna try to mess
51:48
with something big on election night
51:49
right as like saying the ocean is wet
51:51
you know you can swim in it oh thanks so
51:55
now let's just push that out there let's
51:57
get that going all 4chan Trump
51:59
supporters 4chan is gonna mess with it
52:01
with election night oh yeah let's get
52:03
y'all primed up for that shame on you
52:05
NBC News shame on you but I think poot
52:10
actually set us up at this CNN Town Hall
52:14
and told us you know that he really also
52:17
thinks this popular vote man it's
52:20
probably not so good maybe
52:21
responsibility to talk about what we
52:23
believe in and to make the case for what
52:26
we think is right when it's popular and
52:28
when it's not I know that some of my
52:30
views on what we need to do as a country
52:33
aren't popular Franklin I'm showing a
52:37
level of respect for New Hampshire
52:40
voters uh expectation of my honesty when
52:43
I share with them a view that might not
52:45
be popular around here that I think that
52:47
the Electoral College has run its course
52:49
and in the future we ought to pick our
52:50
presidents in a way to make sure that
52:51
the one who got the most votes actually
52:53
gets to be President but I say that
52:55
because I think it's the right thing to
52:56
do and I think everybody left right and
52:59
center ought to come into the public
53:00
square making the case for what we think
53:02
is right
53:03
okay there's one other thing going on
53:06
this is this is gonna be the number one
53:08
and the media is gonna be behind it
53:11
because they make more money I've
53:14
written about this saying that the media
53:15
will support getting rid of the
53:17
electoral college because then the
53:20
advertising makes more sense in states
53:22
like California and New York etc yeah so
53:25
they get it they make more money but the
53:27
thing you're just gonna start to hear
53:29
and I've started to hear it I don't have
53:30
any clips i defined saw my period it's
53:35
in passing and then I try the clip but I
53:37
don't I don't get it but it's um it goes
53:39
something like this
53:40
18 percent of the public controls 51
53:46
percent of the Senate how's that fair
53:50
I've heard this this is a good one and
53:53
that's why Trump is still president
53:55
mm-hmm yeah by the way it doesn't matter
53:58
when Clinton was president you had the
54:00
same situation and he got elected by the
54:03
electoral college all that's bad it's
54:05
beside the point but 18 percent of the
54:08
point and that what they're saying is
54:10
that states like Wyoming have two
54:12
senators right and they have very little
54:15
population there's their population Y
54:16
only is less than its population of the
54:18
bay area yet they have two senators oh
54:20
it's nothing the same with Montana some
54:22
of these other sparsely populated states
54:24
they all have two senators because the
54:25
country was set up that way for good
54:27
reason the same reason that the
54:28
electoral college was set up to keep
54:31
criminals out of the White House and it
54:34
worked yes Hillary is not president
54:36
you're right it's not it's part of a
54:40
larger issue which is I think pure
54:44
elitism Michael Bloomberg this clip is
54:48
from 2016 but it's surfaced of course
54:52
during this election cycle he was at
54:55
Oxford and he was explaining some of the
55:00
issues with this stupid American public
55:04
which he which he identifies by calling
55:07
himself and the people in the room at
55:09
Oxford the intelligentsia if you think
55:14
about it
55:16
we the intelligence people who could
55:19
make it into this room we believe in a
55:22
lot let that settle in for a second what
55:26
is the actual definition of the
55:28
intelligentsia well it refers broadly I
55:35
think to the more intelligent people
55:37
that are highly educated and have some
55:40
control over the society here we go the
55:42
intelligentsia is a status class of
55:45
educated people engaged in the complex
55:48
mental labors that critique guide and
55:50
lead in shaping the culture and politics
55:53
of their society as a status class the
55:57
intelligentsia includes artists teachers
56:00
academics writers and the literary yeah
56:04
John Legend if you think about it we the
56:10
intelligence of people who could make it
56:12
into this room we believe in a lot of
56:16
things in terms of equality and
56:19
protecting individual rights that make
56:22
no sense to the vast bulk of people
56:24
they're not opposed to you having some
56:27
rights but there's a fundamental
56:29
disconnect between us believing the
56:31
rights of the individual come first and
56:34
the general belief around the world I
56:37
think it's fair to say that the rights
56:38
of society comes first and so I don't
56:43
know how many of you familiar with the
56:44
the bathroom issue and in the United
56:47
States anybody know what I'm talking
56:49
about if you want to know is somebody a
56:52
good salesman give them the job of going
56:55
to the Midwest and picking a town and
56:58
selling to that town the concept that
57:01
some man wearing a dress should be in
57:03
the locker room with their daughter if
57:04
you can sell that you can sell anything
57:06
I mean they just look at you and they
57:08
say what on earth are you talking about
57:11
and you say well this person identifies
57:14
his or her gender as different than
57:17
what's on their birth certificate nice
57:19
what do you mean you either born this so
57:21
yeah or you born that
57:24
and you know I will say in our prison
57:26
system in New York City we have to have
57:28
the policy when you walk in you know
57:31
drop your trousers you go this way you
57:34
go that way
57:35
that's it because you can't sit there
57:36
and you can't mix things in a jail
57:39
that's a practical in case of what you
57:41
have to make a decision but it's so many
57:45
things that we are nuanced and the issue
57:50
the social issues that we're very proud
57:52
of of achieving aren't believing aren't
57:56
believed by the vast bulk of the people
57:58
I mean yeah so he's defending the Wow
58:04
but but you see the message is the
58:07
people who can make it into this room
58:09
the intelligentsia are enlightened
58:13
enough to understand that we need to
58:16
protect prisoners from being raped but
58:19
not children I mean that's the that's
58:21
the comparison he made whether you
58:23
believe it or not I mean it's like well
58:25
in prison it's a different situation if
58:27
schools did school and stupid people can
58:31
they can't they can't they're not
58:33
enlightened enough they can't grasp it
58:35
just can't I mean that that guy wants to
58:37
be President
58:38
that's can you imagine you know you
58:42
shouldn't be drinking big sodas he's a
58:45
he's a classic Nazi I think that's a
58:52
timestamp right there that's the opening
58:53
of the show
58:54
people are like oh finally they're gonna
58:56
say something nasty about Trump good he
59:00
is a classic that's a good clip did that
59:02
well that's another clip that's fun I
59:04
mean when I'm trying to promote I think
59:07
I think you have a bit this is from the
59:08
first debate let's see if I have
59:10
everything find it quickly first debate
59:13
this is the first debate this is where
59:15
they this was a NBC's and everybody
59:19
stopped doing this after this first
59:20
debate cuz this is I think the killer
59:22
and I have a photo which I'll put in the
59:24
next newsletter of the first debate
59:27
where they asked this question and
59:29
everybody's hands goes up and then when
59:31
you start thinking about it logically
59:33
you realize it's crazy but they keep
59:35
they keep it up this is where they ask
59:36
the question huh
59:37
here think that you know the
59:39
undocumented aliens should get free
59:43
health care if we have a socialized
59:45
system that you guys all want we wait
59:49
and they one of them to Mary Ann as
59:51
somebody else lift their hands but then
59:52
they all lifted their hands up everybody
59:54
said yes a lot of you talking tonight
59:57
about these government health care plans
59:59
that you proposed in one form or another
1:00:01
this is a show of hands question and
1:00:03
hold them up for a moment so people can
1:00:05
see raise your hand if covered if your
1:00:08
government plan would provide coverage
1:00:10
for undocumented immigrants
1:00:15
[Applause]
1:00:22
because our country is healthier when
1:00:26
everybody is healthier and remember
1:00:28
we're talking about something people are
1:00:30
giving a chant given a chance to buy
1:00:31
into in the same way that there are
1:00:33
undocumented immigrants in my community
1:00:35
who pay they pay sales taxes they pay
1:00:38
property taxes directly or indirectly
1:00:41
this is not about a handout this is an
1:00:44
insurance program and we do ourselves no
1:00:47
favors by having 11 million undocumented
1:00:51
people in our country be unable to
1:00:53
access healthcare but of course the real
1:00:54
problem is we shouldn't have 11 million
1:00:57
undocumented people with no pathway to
1:00:59
citizenship it makes no sense and the
1:01:01
American people the American people
1:01:04
agree on what to do this is a crazy
1:01:06
thing
1:01:07
if leadership consists of of forming a
1:01:10
consensus around a divisive issue this
1:01:12
White House has divided us around a
1:01:14
consensus issue the American people want
1:01:16
a pathway to citizenship they want a
1:01:17
protections for dreamers we need to
1:01:19
clean up the lawful immigration system
1:01:20
like how my father immigrated to this
1:01:22
country and as part of a compromise we
1:01:24
can do whatever common-sense measures
1:01:26
are needed at the border but Washington
1:01:27
can't deliver on something the American
1:01:30
people want what does that tell you
1:01:32
about the system we're living in it
1:01:33
tells you it needs profound structural
1:01:35
reform undocumented immigrants could you
1:01:42
explain your position I'm sorry big
1:01:43
apartment the show of hands you did not
1:01:46
raise your hand did you would be covered
1:01:52
under your plan which is different than
1:01:54
Obama care that change yes you cannot
1:01:59
let as as the mayor said you cannot let
1:02:01
people who are sick no matter where they
1:02:03
come from no matter what their status
1:02:05
go uncovered you can't do that it's just
1:02:07
going to be taken care of period you
1:02:09
have to it's a humane thing to do but
1:02:11
here's the deal the deal is that he's
1:02:13
right about three things number one they
1:02:16
in fact contribute to the well-being of
1:02:18
the country but they also for example
1:02:19
they increase the life span of Social
1:02:22
Security because they have a job they're
1:02:24
paying Social Security
1:02:27
[Applause]
1:02:30
how do you contribute to the lifespan of
1:02:33
Social Security if you're an
1:02:34
undocumented worker with no social
1:02:37
security number no please moving on from
1:02:41
Joe but here's the thing that always
1:02:45
gets me in it this is gonna bite him in
1:02:47
the ass this all those hand-raising
1:02:49
they're all in on this
1:02:50
luckily globish R and Warren working on
1:02:52
this is what they have the two-parters
1:02:54
and the problem is is that okay so I've
1:02:57
got some horrible disease and I can worm
1:03:01
my way onto a flight to the United
1:03:04
States as a bit as a travel visa yeah
1:03:07
and I just checked my itself into a
1:03:09
hospital here and gets paid for what
1:03:11
they're saying is that everybody from
1:03:13
all over the world can come to the
1:03:15
United States and get free medical care
1:03:17
no matter how sick or how undocumented
1:03:20
they are it's just crazy to say that
1:03:23
it's I think it's worthwhile to read
1:03:25
through Pete Buddha judge's bio once
1:03:29
again this is not really done he's
1:03:32
always positioned as well it's just a
1:03:34
mayor from a very small town in Indiana
1:03:37
that's pretty much it now
1:03:39
the keeper grew up partially in these
1:03:43
parts and you know it's good school
1:03:46
Notre Dame but it's you know it's it's
1:03:49
okay it's not an Ivy League school but
1:03:53
this is where this is Poots roots so
1:03:56
from the Wikipedia he's a graduate of
1:03:58
Harvard College and Oxford University
1:04:01
you know where the intelligentsia
1:04:03
assemble attending the ladder on a
1:04:05
Rhodes Scholarship always a fun one 2007
1:04:10
2010 he worked as a consultant at the
1:04:12
management consulting firm McKinsey this
1:04:14
is well known 2009 217 served as a
1:04:17
native naval intelligence officer in the
1:04:20
United States Navy Reserve as a
1:04:22
lieutenant he was blood deployed to
1:04:24
Afghanistan in 2014 for seven months
1:04:27
then he also worked on the political
1:04:30
campaigns of Joe Donnelly and John Kerry
1:04:33
he served as a 32nd mayor of South Bend
1:04:35
Indiana as we know he still is
1:04:37
[Music]
1:04:39
so his dad was a prophet and professor
1:04:44
at Notre Dame and apparently quite the
1:04:49
lover of Marxism so Pete is an elite yo
1:04:56
he's a total elite and we should mention
1:04:58
something to people out there who were
1:04:59
looking for you know little things to
1:05:02
check off the box Rhodes Scholar the
1:05:05
Rhodes Scholarship it was developed by
1:05:07
Cecil Rhodes who was responsible for
1:05:12
Rhodesia which was this racist operation
1:05:15
but nobody wants to mention that part of
1:05:18
it and his whole thing in life was
1:05:20
one-world government
1:05:21
yep Cecil Rhodes was a big promoter of
1:05:24
one-world government if you get a Rhodes
1:05:26
Scholar you are me you are going to be
1:05:29
inoculated inoculated brainwashed into
1:05:31
every every possible one world
1:05:35
government scenario there is all Rhodes
1:05:38
Scholars are really anti-american
1:05:41
one-world government people let's take a
1:05:44
look at the list we'll do it in reverse
1:05:46
order we'll start at the most recent one
1:05:48
it's a long list I'm gonna go let's see
1:05:52
who do we have here oh this is not even
1:05:55
Ronan Farrow
1:05:57
it's a Rhodes Scholar let's see Pete
1:06:01
Buddha judge is there okay I think Bill
1:06:05
Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar if I'm not
1:06:10
inoculation indoctrination is the one
1:06:12
I've been looking for indoctrination
1:06:13
that Clinton had because said that's who
1:06:16
was a stone or years you know Rachel
1:06:18
Maddow is also a Rhodes Scholar so she's
1:06:21
an alum so she and Pete should have a
1:06:23
lot in common I didn't realize that she
1:06:25
was one of them bobby jindal Cory Booker
1:06:29
we knew that Rhodes Scholar going down
1:06:32
the list if I see any other interesting
1:06:34
names I think just the fact that Rachel
1:06:37
Maddow is what Susan Rice Graham I know
1:06:40
that's not a known name I know me wolf
1:06:43
hmm yeah yes yes are all people
1:06:48
indoctrinated to the idea of one-world
1:06:50
government and they're all tend to be
1:06:52
egalitarian sin their approach this is
1:06:55
the thing that came up earlier in the
1:06:56
show and how do these what do we want to
1:06:59
get rid of the electoral college and why
1:07:01
we have the caucuses the way they are
1:07:02
the Galit arianism which is part of the
1:07:05
Democrat ethos you have their main thing
1:07:08
as we talked about on the show before is
1:07:10
the Galit arianism and justice or
1:07:12
equality and justice the way they put it
1:07:14
and the Republicans are freedom and
1:07:16
liberty and so the the Galit Aryan
1:07:19
mindset is that everybody's equal to an
1:07:23
extreme this is what's hurting the
1:07:24
people in Sweden right now because every
1:07:26
immigrant is exactly the same as a sweet
1:07:28
exactly and so if you're a Galit Aryan
1:07:31
in your approach to things you can't
1:07:32
have an electoral college because it has
1:07:35
to be one man one vote yes and that's
1:07:38
which is egalitarian they the American
1:07:41
system is not set up as an egalitarian
1:07:44
system it's a it's a federalist system
1:07:47
and the reason for the Electoral College
1:07:49
again is because the states are the ones
1:07:51
that are equal not the individuals in
1:07:54
the country yes okay and so you do end
1:07:57
up with 18 percent of the public
1:07:59
controlling 51% of the Senate but that's
1:08:02
the way it was designed because the
1:08:03
Galit arianism is bad
1:08:06
yeah historically we've seen that that
1:08:08
doesn't work out very well but you
1:08:10
wouldn't know it from listening to these
1:08:12
candidates of the Democratic Party
1:08:14
they're all against the popular vote
1:08:16
they're all against the electoral
1:08:18
college they all want the popular vote
1:08:19
and they keep referring to the United
1:08:22
States Constitution yes they keep
1:08:25
referring to United States as a
1:08:26
democracy and they're just routing
1:08:29
around the system and and really lying
1:08:32
is it's really in its I don't think it's
1:08:34
good I mean we have a system if you want
1:08:36
to change it that's fine but don't try
1:08:38
to sneak it in with lying about it and
1:08:40
saying this is unfair I mean how many
1:08:42
times I've heard someone on CNN or MSNBC
1:08:44
say that the caucus system is inherently
1:08:48
undemocratic well
1:08:52
then that kind of ends there doesn't it
1:08:54
I mean what are you gonna say to
1:08:55
something like that it's it's it's
1:09:00
that's the point of it exactly I can't
1:09:03
wait to talk about the debate and maybe
1:09:06
a little bit of the State of the Union
1:09:07
fallout but first I would like to thank
1:09:09
you and say the morning to you the man
1:09:12
who put the C in constitutional scholar
1:09:15
John C dad good morning to you mr. Adam
1:09:21
curry also in the morning oil ships that
1:09:22
see boots on the ground feet in the air
1:09:24
subs in the water and all the Dames
1:09:25
tonight's up in the morning to the
1:09:27
trolls
1:09:28
they're all kind of like poor man
1:09:31
America is over it's done no no no it's
1:09:33
okay I'm fine
1:09:36
the Republic will get through this as
1:09:38
well but if you want to commiserate with
1:09:40
the trolls go to the troll room it's no
1:09:42
agenda stream calm and do a quick
1:09:45
headcount see what we got in the troll
1:09:47
room today we've got oh good one almost
1:09:50
1,400 this is good hello hello all you
1:09:53
troll is nice to see you there you can
1:09:54
listen to this show live multiple shows
1:09:57
live Darren O'Neill does the pre stream
1:09:59
an hour before we start live on the show
1:10:02
there's just everything every day we
1:10:04
have a live show that Wednesday night
1:10:06
Nick the rat and and this podcast that
1:10:08
run and you can you know basically
1:10:10
discover but do it with trolls if you
1:10:14
want to find podcast you might as well
1:10:16
have trolls to help you know agenda
1:10:18
stream dot-com also a big in the morning
1:10:20
- Mountain J who I believe is female I
1:10:23
believe Mountain J is woman I saw her
1:10:26
pretty sure she posted on no agenda
1:10:30
social calm and forgave me for
1:10:34
misgendering misgendering hurt I brought
1:10:37
us the artwork for Episode one thousand
1:10:39
two hundred and forty nights for a woman
1:10:41
you think that did you know I would
1:10:44
think Twin Peaks would be a better name
1:10:46
oh my goodness Dvorak stank choo Airy
1:10:50
was the title of the episode of course
1:10:53
how could it not be and the art was
1:10:55
there was there wasn't a lot of good
1:10:58
stuff we thought it's not stuff that
1:11:00
really applied this was we kind of both
1:11:02
said yeah this is a good one and it was
1:11:04
the
1:11:05
blue red black kind of the bumper
1:11:07
stickers we have glitch that would be
1:11:09
the Democrat donkey then we have the red
1:11:13
Republican elephant so that of course is
1:11:16
Russian hacking and then No Agenda with
1:11:18
our little microphone it was just a good
1:11:20
piece and I started using the overcast
1:11:23
podcast app man it I have to say and I
1:11:27
want Apple to be successful they've
1:11:29
really done a lot for podcasting but
1:11:31
over they should buy the overcast app in
1:11:34
my opinion that thing is so good it
1:11:38
really has all the pieces you want in a
1:11:41
podcast app including quick updating of
1:11:43
the art in the podcast from Apple a app
1:11:46
sometimes it takes a while yes if the
1:11:50
reason why is just buy them I think they
1:11:53
shouldn't that gap allows you got any
1:11:54
money there's a lot of you know not
1:11:59
invented here we already have an app you
1:12:01
know you know these companies like that
1:12:04
will sometimes be reluctant to buy
1:12:08
something that they already do but yeah
1:12:10
as well that's true but in they have
1:12:14
Marco's put at the Marco the developer
1:12:17
he also put in something quite
1:12:19
interesting he put in a sound enhancer
1:12:23
just recently and it's it is kind of it
1:12:27
most of those podcasts that have crappy
1:12:29
sound it does kind of make it more
1:12:31
listenable yeah and I don't know what
1:12:34
he's doing there with some compression
1:12:37
I'm a big fan of giving the listener all
1:12:40
the control this is the part that a lot
1:12:42
of people disagree on with me but I I
1:12:44
like it like fast forward you should
1:12:46
build to chop stuff up anything you want
1:12:48
to they you that you're gonna miss
1:12:49
beautiful things is up to you but I like
1:12:52
it I think that that's true
1:12:53
interactivity is that you can mess
1:12:56
around with whatever you received and
1:12:57
that may be part of Apple's problem of
1:12:59
not wanting to do everything or they
1:13:01
want to control everyone wants control
1:13:04
anyway Apple traditionally is one to
1:13:06
control us with the darshan the Mac and
1:13:08
the PC yep exactly
1:13:10
all right thank you people for showed 12
1:13:13
for 15 yes let's do this
1:13:16
Craig night at north to south as our top
1:13:20
donor with $500 right John it has night
1:13:24
north/south here and I am now the
1:13:25
biggest believer in the no agenda karma
1:13:27
as you remember three weeks ago you gave
1:13:30
karma to my to my horse fast way do we
1:13:35
need to listen to the winning horse race
1:13:37
again okay and my dog Yuki pronounced
1:13:41
Yuki my horse went on to win the
1:13:45
California Cup Derby oh I guess that
1:13:48
maybe that was the California dirt yes
1:13:50
that's the we that's the winning horse
1:13:52
well you know it they used to have the
1:13:53
California Derby here in the local field
1:13:57
that we have in the East Bay called
1:13:58
Golden Gate Fields in Albany mm-hmm and
1:14:01
I can look down on the field
1:14:05
where I am and watch horse racing from
1:14:09
you see the horse is going around now
1:14:11
can you with that with your with your
1:14:13
scope can you see the numbers can you
1:14:15
actually see which horse is Ronnie could
1:14:17
I probably could have not been
1:14:18
interested could you shoot a horse from
1:14:20
where you are no I could throw the race
1:14:25
interesting okay now so you watch all
1:14:29
these races and then you watch the
1:14:31
California derby and it's like what is
1:14:34
the difference is not even like the same
1:14:36
race these horses that are in this at
1:14:39
this level so if he won in California
1:14:41
Derby hmm
1:14:43
the horses at that level are so much
1:14:46
faster than the average horses that run
1:14:49
in all these races it's not even close
1:14:51
it's like it's almost frightening to
1:14:54
watch well he has a fast horse well it's
1:14:58
the horse of course is called fast
1:15:01
enough so and this is the level horse
1:15:05
that can play that can play in the
1:15:07
Kentucky Derby the Belmont there's all
1:15:08
the big races oh I'm feeling I'm feeling
1:15:10
Triple Crown with the big no agenda logo
1:15:12
on this horses but that's what I'm
1:15:13
feeling I'm all in on this now that
1:15:15
would be great a reminder we don't do
1:15:18
karmas for before sports games or
1:15:21
anything like that but we we felt this
1:15:23
was okay since Craig night North that
1:15:26
night North the horse owns the horse so
1:15:29
it's
1:15:30
somebody owned a football team would you
1:15:32
help him out anyway he says his dog had
1:15:35
bone cancer he had successful surgery to
1:15:38
remove a bone in her foot instead of
1:15:40
having to have her leg amputated good
1:15:43
she started chemo this last week and
1:15:45
it's doing great
1:15:46
man that's a lot of money on a dog he
1:15:49
needs my help again are my help your
1:15:52
help
1:15:52
my horse fast enough running tomorrow in
1:15:56
the San Vincente Stakes he has to take
1:16:00
on the big boys this time including the
1:16:02
two-year okay this may not have been the
1:16:04
California Cup may not be the California
1:16:06
Derby the two-year old champion in a Bob
1:16:11
Baffert monster this inside baseball
1:16:14
some kind of breeder I guess train or
1:16:17
something unfortunately I won't even be
1:16:20
able to watch the race live is the night
1:16:22
north to the South will be on a plane
1:16:24
north to Alaska I would appreciate the
1:16:27
Karma you can give love the show as
1:16:30
always you key would appreciate dogs for
1:16:31
people to and F cancer jingles thanks
1:16:34
Craig knight of the north to south so
1:16:37
what he doesn't mention is this is this
1:16:39
part of the of the purse that he's
1:16:41
donating here did we get a piece of the
1:16:43
purse I hope so
1:16:44
alright first let's do some Karma for a
1:16:47
for a fast enough for that tomorrow
1:16:49

1:22:27
you've been deduced before getting the
1:22:30
meet up I did some rough calculations to
1:22:32
figure out how much I had donated to the
1:22:34
beat be ITU and realize that I was very
1:22:37
close to the knighthood I started
1:22:38
listening to no agenda at some point in
1:22:40
2009 they don't remember exactly when it
1:22:43
was in the middle of the of the h1n1
1:22:47
swine flu hysteria okay I started on the
1:22:50
1111 monthly donation in mid-2012 o2 my
1:22:53
January 2020 monthly I finally reached
1:22:55
knighthood entirely on 11:11 donations
1:22:58
lgy I was also skeptical about the m5m
1:23:03
bull crap in your level-headed analysis
1:23:05
and humor or much-needed voices of
1:23:07
reason amongst the media overreactions

1:27:59
said read three three one read three
1:28:02

1:28:06
something to somebody it's some kind of
1:28:08
code clearly yeah
1:28:09
yeah it was read three three one read
1:28:13
three three one and no note no anything
1:28:16
$200 thank you very much read three
1:28:18

1:28:27
executive producers for show twelve
1:28:29

1:28:32
this really helps quite a bit it does
1:28:34
thank you it's always good to have
1:28:36
support on a Sunday which is the second
1:28:38
Thursday of our week and these credits
1:28:41

1:28:43
can use them anywhere credit to
1:28:44
recognize we have associate executive
1:28:46
producer for $200 and and above
1:28:49
$300 and above is the executive producer
1:28:51
put it on your LinkedIn put on your
1:28:54
resume it always results in people
1:28:57
asking questions which you can then of
1:28:58
course answer any way you want let's say
1:29:01
oh yeah now those guys yeah he's gonna
1:29:03
be on Joe Rogan you know say that you
1:29:05
know it's a it sounds impressive I think
1:29:08
and it helps the show which is part of
1:29:11
our value for value system will be
1:29:12
thanking more people in the second
1:29:13
segment but of course we'd like you to
1:29:15
support us for our next show which will
1:29:17
be Thursday to participate in the value
1:29:20
for value network go to to Vollrath org
1:29:23
slash na and you know that you are
1:29:26
officially part of the No Agenda
1:29:27
intelligence our formula is this we go
1:29:32
out we hit people in the mouth
1:29:34
[Applause]
1:29:44
[Music]
1:29:49
I had one comment we think you even
1:29:56
mentioned it but now the president is
1:29:59
saying everyone's saying well you know
1:30:01
if the Democrats can take it even tally
1:30:04
up votes how can they run the economy
1:30:06
how can they run healthcare and we have
1:30:10
such short memories and can I remind
1:30:11
everyone of the Obamacare website
1:30:14
debacle how long was that thing delayed
1:30:18
in launch lunch
1:30:19
months and months how much did it cost
1:30:21
like six seven hundred million dollars
1:30:25
it wasn't just whips it wasn't just the
1:30:27
web's nasibi Fair was connecting to
1:30:29
legacy systems but that that is exactly
1:30:33
the debacle that it's not exclusive to
1:30:36
Democrats it's when government gets into
1:30:39
these things they have no business or or
1:30:41
they just don't they don't have the
1:30:43
knowledge the culture and so instead of
1:30:47
saying oh you want these people around
1:30:49
their Qadri or how about self-driving
1:30:52
cars drones facial recognition you want
1:30:56
them to run that that's the question I
1:30:58
have not anything else
1:31:01
keep it out they don't understand it and
1:31:03
it's not just Democrats but government
1:31:08
in general I think is not currently
1:31:11
qualified to run these types of things
1:31:17
okay you made your point but it's time
1:31:19
for the debates
1:31:23
okay okay so the debates went on they
1:31:27
were terrible it was a little lively at
1:31:29
the beginning they got you know Biden it
1:31:31
apparently doped him up enough that his
1:31:33
eyeballs at one point I think
1:31:37
steyr was talking and Joe turns around
1:31:41
has his back to the audience and snorts
1:31:44
something I missed this yeah it's it's
1:31:49
an a wide shot now you can't I don't it
1:31:51
may have been a nasal stick whatever it
1:31:54
was there was doping on the field I'm
1:31:58
telling you and he turns his back and
1:32:00
Tahlia his his hands are up to his nose
1:32:03
I don't know what he was what he was
1:32:05
snorting well in the olden days in the
1:32:08
70s when when the the drug cocaine was a
1:32:13
big deal because it got to cover
1:32:15
everything he was man of the year on
1:32:17
Time magazine and probably the usage of
1:32:20
it was less than it is today
1:32:23
mm-hmm there was an old trick of getting
1:32:26
these they used to have this Vicks yeah
1:32:28
the Vicks they still have and those
1:32:30
Vicks things are actually addictive by
1:32:32
themselves
1:32:32
yellow inhaler of certain people would
1:32:35
load him up with powder yeah and then
1:32:37
they'd use that maybe that's what he had
1:32:39
everyone surprised me but it was odd it
1:32:43
was just odd the whole thing was odd for
1:32:47
clips that goes before one of them if
1:32:51
you're interested in the ratings uh
1:32:54
force six just under seven million
1:32:59
people watched it was ABC so they always
1:33:01
get more than anything else I'm actually
1:33:05
surprised it was higher than I would
1:33:06
have expected but I think that's also
1:33:07
considering it's a Friday night that's
1:33:09
the entire activated political audience
1:33:13
in the United States is probably that
1:33:15
all the people yelling on Twitter is
1:33:17
probably them that watch this I think
1:33:20
that's that's a good chance that you're
1:33:23
the real active politically active
1:33:25
audience in the United States is about
1:33:27
six seven million yeah not much anymore
1:33:30
I think that sounds right yeah for all
1:33:33
the noise it's a very small percentage
1:33:35
of the country
1:33:37
so let's let's do a few things here's
1:33:39
like yet definitely had Bernie going on
1:33:42
with it he isn't here's Bernie's
1:33:44
impeachment rant I thought was good
1:33:46
we sat for two weeks listening to the
1:33:49
impeachment process and here's what I
1:33:51
think the Hara and the danger of what
1:33:53
happened was not only the acquittal of
1:33:55
Trump who in fact committed with me
1:33:58
chable offenses and obstructed Congress
1:34:01
it is the precedent that it said the
1:34:04
precedent that it said and what that
1:34:07
precedent is about now is in the future
1:34:10
you're gonna have presidents who say hey
1:34:12
governor you want highway money you
1:34:16
better support me well you're not gonna
1:34:18
get it because I am the president I can
1:34:20
do anything I want
1:34:22
hey Congress you want to investigate me
1:34:25
don't be ridiculous
1:34:26
who cares about the Congress who cares
1:34:29
about the separation of powers who cares
1:34:31
about the constitution of the president
1:34:34
I'm the president the United States all
1:34:36
of the power by the way presidents do
1:34:45
that to the governors is to hey you
1:34:47
right you mind to get any support from
1:34:49
your state I'm not giving you any
1:34:50
Tideway money to constantly do that crap
1:34:53
do you know I'll do it in a minute it's
1:34:57
okay yes keep god I thought that was a
1:34:59
good line and actually that should have
1:35:01
been a possible I so I didn't make it
1:35:03
either because I like my ISIL so much I
1:35:08
think did anyway before we play this is
1:35:12
another one that was good but before we
1:35:14
play the other ones I'm gonna play this
1:35:17
Bill Maher clip t he had Banyon on no I
1:35:21
saw it yeah man it was very good it was
1:35:24
just Banyon talking over him and then
1:35:26
the audience booing him but let's just
1:35:29
part I wanted to play before I play the
1:35:31
next debate clip we've seen this in
1:35:34
other countries when you talk about
1:35:35
people like they're scum and they're
1:35:37
evil we've seen it in Rwanda cockroaches
1:35:40
we've seen it in Germany vermin you
1:35:42
don't think that when you talk about
1:35:44
people like that your side the people
1:35:47
who hear those words
1:35:48
you don't think eventually it translates
1:35:50
into action they see people on Arsenal
1:35:52
as less than worth no absolutely not
1:35:55
Wow how about literally Hitler Nazis am
1:35:59
I missing something it goes on and on of
1:36:01
course yeah but the way more seasoned no
1:36:04
no his side is fine so let's listen to
1:36:06
the debates tire doing his name-calling
1:36:11
but he's been the Republicans have
1:36:13
rolled over they've had a sham trial
1:36:16
they've refused to have witnesses
1:36:18
they've covered up the truth for the
1:36:19
American people and it doesn't matter
1:36:21
anymore that he's a crook and he's
1:36:23
always been a crook and he always will
1:36:24
be a crook
1:36:25
right now what we have to do is we have
1:36:27
to beat them in November and we have to
1:36:30
beat them because he's incompetent and
1:36:32
bad for the American people
1:36:34
and that's the case we have to make now
1:36:36
is he a crook I knew that two years ago
1:36:38
is he going to be more of a crook now
1:36:40
that he believes he can get away with
1:36:42
anything of course he is there was a lot
1:36:51
of well what what I saw what I noticed
1:36:53
is it started off kind of slow I mean
1:36:55
for you always you start with Joe he
1:36:57
always sets the pace and Joe was you
1:36:59
know in kind of third gear of a 7-speed
1:37:04
transmission and yeah so it kind of
1:37:06
slowly starts getting up there and then
1:37:09
I think it was it was probably steyr who
1:37:12
first poured the gas on and you know
1:37:16
then it was like oh maybe that's where
1:37:18
we go maybe we kind of like do like a
1:37:19
little Trump little yelling and and make
1:37:22
it loud and then Bernie got louder and
1:37:24
then everyone got everyone got a little
1:37:26
bit louder except for my favorite of
1:37:28
course Amy Klobuchar
1:37:30
and and and and I think it really missed
1:37:34
the mark because all I heard except with
1:37:37
the for a few exceptions was how shit
1:37:40
everything is everything is shit
1:37:44
it's horrible this is no good I mean I
1:37:48
wake up and I'm part of the most racist
1:37:51
system in the world in all of them all
1:37:53
of history and and in fact I'm
1:37:56
responsible for it all of these things
1:37:58
and I'm gonna die I can won't be able to
1:38:00
afford anything I'm gonna
1:38:02
I have poverty hunger sickness the there
1:38:06
was not a base almost a sparkling light
1:38:09
not to be found amongst anything that
1:38:11
anyone said and it was this it was so
1:38:14
repetitive well let's listen to this is
1:38:18
the blazes globish are and her bogus oh
1:38:22
by the way this is a well know this play
1:38:25
that bite into clover char first and I
1:38:27
want to play the other one cuz I have a
1:38:28
follow-up to it
1:38:29
here's whoever the nominee is the
1:38:31
presence could make up lies about he
1:38:33
thinks he has free rein right now one of
1:38:35
the things that I think is really
1:38:36
important is we have to be authentic
1:38:38
with the American people about what
1:38:39
we're gonna do and how we're gonna do it
1:38:41
and by the way Colonel women got thrown
1:38:43
out of the White House they walked out I
1:38:45
think we should in it at the same time
1:38:47
he should be tending the middle
1:38:49
amendment and not on rusty ball
1:38:53

1:39:21
criticize senator bernie sanders track
1:39:24
record in senate we were able to hear
1:39:26
that the democratic party's last
1:39:29
presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has
1:39:31
criticized senator Bernie Sanders record
1:39:33
in the Senate saying nobody likes him
1:39:34
nobody wants to work with him he got
1:39:36
nothing done so no club which are you
1:39:38
served with senator Sanders in the
1:39:40
Senate is he going to be able to get the
1:39:42
support of you like it but is he gonna
1:39:46
be able to get the support that he needs
1:39:47
from Republicans we actually worked
1:39:55
together on a number of things including
1:39:56
pharmaceuticals we actually had a vote
1:39:59
late at night one time Klobuchar Sanders
1:40:02
amendment to bring it in less expensive
1:40:09
drugs from other countries since in this
1:40:12
great state of New Hampshire like in
1:40:14
Minnesota and Vermont we can see Canada
1:40:16
from our porch getting I think 14
1:40:20
Republican votes and they might not have
1:40:22
noticed what was happening late at night
1:40:24
but we got those all right I'd like to
1:40:28
say something about the vin Minh part
1:40:30
this is your next article of impeachment
1:40:34
lieutenant veeneman Lieutenant Colonel
1:40:37
VIN Minh his brother who was a problem
1:40:41
but they'll find out soon enough and
1:40:42
Sandeman owe you all Friday night
1:40:45
massacre this is the next articles of
1:40:48
impeachment the media is already setting
1:40:50
it up it's wall-to-wall fallout
1:40:54
whistleblowers retaliated against the
1:40:58
witnesses whoo you watch this is the
1:41:01
next article of impeachment it's coming
1:41:04
well it is definitely coming it's gonna
1:41:07
be this is gonna be abuse of power for
1:41:10
firing these guys from the national
1:41:12
security wasn't actually didn't lose his
1:41:14
job he just got back from the National
1:41:16
Security Council who removed from the
1:41:18
National Security Council yeah well
1:41:20
they've been trying to cut it down
1:41:21
anyway you don't have to just
1:41:24
by it to me it's it's totally stupid the
1:41:26
whole thing is dumb but that's what
1:41:27
they're going to waste our time with
1:41:29
next is it's gonna be about that and
1:41:32
then everyone's gonna want the brother
1:41:34
to show up the twin brother but we can't
1:41:37
have that because he's not really just
1:41:38
the National Security Council guy he's a
1:41:40
hedge fund guy with big fines for shady
1:41:44
business dealings with Eastern Bloc
1:41:46
countries to waste meanwhile people in
1:41:52
time in China are dying okay I got this
1:41:54
this last clip well serious who cares
1:41:58
let's go here's Klobuchar and this she
1:42:01
makes this assertion which I did some
1:42:02
research into taking on a president if
1:42:06
you want to talk about being tough
1:42:08
enough to take him on on a president
1:42:12
that literally went down to Mar Lago
1:42:14
after he signed that Republican tax bill
1:42:17
and looked at all his friends and said
1:42:20
you just got a lot richer that is
1:42:23
Exhibit A for those carpenters in
1:42:25
Pennsylvania hmm did he do it no there's
1:42:28
no evidence of this well this was this
1:42:32
was a big story about when their tax
1:42:35
plan was put I think I had of a clip
1:42:37
that was one of them and it gets it in
1:42:39
there's even a tax plan clip tax cut
1:42:42
bullshit 2017 play that he's also
1:42:47
touting the passage of his tax cut
1:42:49
legislation but it's what he reportedly
1:42:51
told guests at his Florida Club that is
1:42:54
raising some eyebrows president Trump's
1:43:01
night before Christmas was full of What
1:43:03
did he say there in that little little
1:43:05
snippet nothing to do with you're gonna
1:43:07
get richer it was just it was it was a
1:43:10
whipsaw and again the report itself he
1:43:12
started over
1:43:13
he says reportedly this was a CBS
1:43:16
planted story oh of course of course you
1:43:19
know I will start it over I want to hear
1:43:21
this the report he's also touting the
1:43:23
passage of his tax cut legislation but
1:43:25
it's what he reportedly told guests at
1:43:28
his Florida Club that is raising some
1:43:30
eyebrows I predict this
1:43:35
presto they just threw that in there and
1:43:37
and connected in your brain so it's
1:43:39
almost as if you heard him say something
1:43:41
but you heard but he said something else
1:43:43
but it's he says animal being building
1:43:46
will be bringing building bushes before
1:43:48
Christmas okay Trump's night before
1:43:51
Christmas was full of good cheer in
1:43:54
front of the cameras he and First Lady
1:43:56
Melania took calls from children to give
1:43:58
updates on Santa Claus from Trump's
1:44:00
luxury Florida resort mar-a-lago he also
1:44:06
sent season's greetings to members of
1:44:08
the military stationed overseas your
1:44:10
families have been tremendous always
1:44:13
under appreciated the military families
1:44:16
let me guess the report doesn't actually
1:44:18
include the line you're all gonna be
1:44:20
you're all a bit richer now I guess
1:44:21
that's not in the report you're never
1:44:24
gonna hear Trump say it and he denied
1:44:26
saying it was just as all reportedly it
1:44:29
all came from a CBS story where there's
1:44:32
somebody said he said it mm-hmm who was
1:44:34
supposedly at a table nearby and I guess
1:44:37
he told the reporter it's bullcrap yeah
1:44:40
but that's okay we don't care that you
1:44:43
got the list of Lies that Trump does but
1:44:45
these no I know that's interesting you
1:44:47
bring that up because I I went back to
1:44:50
it to get some new ones to talk about on
1:44:53
the show they have not reported any new
1:44:55
lies it stuck at 1620 for lies January
1:45:02
20th and that just they're not they're
1:45:04
not updating it I'm very disappointed I
1:45:13
wanted to read a new one for you but
1:45:16
it's just it's all it's all the saints
1:45:18
I'm sorry sixteen thousand two one
1:45:19
thousand two hundred forty-one
1:45:21
know that the last update was January
1:45:23
18th that's it
1:45:26
so well so Amy's basically lying here
1:45:33
you know I was thinking about this cuz
1:45:34
Amy had a couple of good bitches she'd
1:45:37
always point to her self when she wanted
1:45:39
to say who could be a better president
1:45:41
or who could be the one that could be
1:45:42
Trump yeah if she actually came out and
1:45:46
with a little more aggression and said
1:45:48
look these guys are no good I'm the one
1:45:52
who can beat Trump these other these are
1:45:53
all a bunch of white old white men you
1:45:56
know what except for yang and who knows
1:45:58
what he doesn't he doesn't even have any
1:46:00
experience I'm the one she should go on
1:46:03
and bright and dead message smartest one
1:46:09
up there totally I think what what
1:46:12
connected with some vote with some
1:46:15
voters and certainly some in the media
1:46:17
which I will play for you was this end
1:46:21
of kind of her pitch and she compared
1:46:25
herself to FDR there's an old story of
1:46:29
Franklin Delano Roosevelt when he died
1:46:31
his body was put on a train and went up
1:46:34
across America there was a guy standing
1:46:36
by those tracks along with so many
1:46:38
Americans and he had his hat on his
1:46:40
chest and he was sobbing and a reporter
1:46:42
said sir did you know the president and
1:46:45
the guy says no I didn't know the
1:46:48
president knew there is a complete lack
1:46:57
of empathy in this guy in the White
1:47:00
House right now
1:47:05
stretching your paycheck pay for that
1:47:08
rent I know you and I will fight for you
1:47:11
if you have trouble deciding if you're
1:47:13
gonna pay for your child care or your
1:47:15
long term care I know you and I will
1:47:17
fight for you if you have trouble
1:47:19
figuring out if you're gonna fill your
1:47:21
refrigerator or fill your prescription
1:47:23
drug I know you and I will fight for you
1:47:25
I do not have the biggest name up on
1:47:28
this stage I don't have the biggest bank
1:47:30
account I'm not a political newcomer
1:47:32
with no record but I have a record of
1:47:35
fighting for people I'm asking you to
1:47:37
join us at Amy Klobuchar calm believes
1:47:44
in America can win this because if you
1:47:47
are tired of the extremes and our
1:47:49
politics and the noise and the nonsense
1:47:51
you have a home with me please New
1:47:53
Hampshire I would love your vote and I
1:47:55
would love the vote of America thank you
1:47:58
I think that was very good for very good
1:48:02
for the audience at hand
1:48:05
she totally distanced herself from the
1:48:08
other people on the stage I'm not the
1:48:10
most famous one I'm not the biggest bank
1:48:12
out I'm not yeah I'm not a newcomers no
1:48:16
experience Fu Mei Oh Pete you know but I
1:48:20
feel you I feel you and you know who
1:48:22
felt Amy you know who really felt Amy
1:48:25
Chris Massie Chris Matthews from MSNBC
1:48:28
was all Gitty about it Chloe sure was
1:48:32
wonderful I've never seen her this good
1:48:35
I think she showed in the last week
1:48:37
audacity but you want to see from a
1:48:39
politician as audacity spontaneity don't
1:48:42
have it on the damn script be somebody
1:48:44
home with the lights on
1:48:45
somebody who's there a human being and
1:48:48
that's how she came across tonight she
1:48:50
never raised her voice she was confident
1:48:52
she looked I'm sorry it's weird to say
1:48:54
this she seemed like a president tonight
1:48:56
ooh an endorsement from Chris Matthews
1:49:00
who went unhinged by the way over Bernie
1:49:04
unhinged yeah I got to play this for you
1:49:08
and I and it totally solidifies the
1:49:13
theory that a lot of older people in
1:49:16
politics in the country in general
1:49:19
and and certainly in the media are still
1:49:21
traumatized by the Cold War by the
1:49:25
Russians by communism
1:49:27
you know how old is Chris Matthews he's
1:49:30
got to be in the mid to late 70s so he
1:49:33
says yeah but listen to what he does
1:49:37
when it comes to Bernie I have my own
1:49:40
views rewards list and I'll be glad to
1:49:42
tell them share them with you in private
1:49:43
and they go back to the early 1950s I
1:49:46
haven't added to the bathroom I remember
1:49:48
the Cold War I have an attitude towards
1:49:50
Castro
1:49:51
I believe if Castro and in the in the
1:49:53
Reds had won the Cold War there was an
1:49:55
execution since Central Park and I might
1:49:57
have been one of the ones getting
1:49:58
executed and certain of it people would
1:50:00
be there cheering okay so I have a
1:50:02
problem with people who took the other
1:50:03
side I don't know burning checkrep
1:50:05
Bernie supports over these years I don't
1:50:07
know what he means by Scioscia one
1:50:09
awakens Denmark we're gonna be like
1:50:11
Denmark
1:50:11
okay that's harmless that's the size
1:50:13
basically a capitalist country without
1:50:15
good social welfare programs Denmark
1:50:17
asam's pretty clearly in the denmark
1:50:19
yeah well we haven't seen a campaign yet
1:50:30
we're video of him praising the other
1:50:36
[Music]
1:50:40
that's a great question I love how
1:51:00
vasectomy boy their jump seemed like
1:51:02
okay well you know it's not really the
1:51:04
Cuban Revolution anymore shut up man
1:51:06
we're gonna do something else okay
1:51:07
boomer but basically this was this was a
1:51:11
pro Trump rant Trump should take this to
1:51:14
steal this and use that that was
1:51:17
unhinged man it was funny
1:51:21
Wow Wow
1:51:23
I do have one clip I want a plague
1:51:26
because I played the switch back on that
1:51:29
tax thing and the fact that Trump
1:51:30
supposedly said
1:51:31
something at mar-a-lago which is
1:51:33
bullcrap we haven't one of our producers
1:51:37
is a major major tax attorney and some
1:51:40
time back when this tax law was passed
1:51:41
you talked read a note from him and I
1:51:44
can attest to this is that people who
1:51:47
the upper classes that are gonna is
1:51:50
supposedly getting the benefits of this
1:51:51
tax relief got no benefits because they
1:51:54
put a cap on on tax crossovers in other
1:51:58
words property tax and all the rest of
1:52:01
it it had a limit and many people who
1:52:03
are especially the billionaire class
1:52:04
they have tons of property that that you
1:52:08
would write off the taxes now they can't
1:52:10
do that they end up having to pay more
1:52:11
there's the yeses bullcrap it was the
1:52:14
anonymous anonymous gay accountant yes
1:52:17
locally yes and in addition to that and
1:52:22
of course the jury is still out we'll
1:52:24
see but one of the biggest tax cuts
1:52:27
which is like a ten year program is the
1:52:30
opportunity zones and you know we've
1:52:32
looked into that extensively how it
1:52:33
works you have capital gains from our
1:52:39
capital gains and if you invest it into
1:52:41
opportunity zones that in ten years
1:52:43
you can take it all out tax-free so it's
1:52:46
kind of a deferred tax advantage with in
1:52:49
the meantime it's supposed to put money
1:52:52
to work in underserved areas for ten
1:52:55
years now the the allocation of that I
1:52:57
think is up to States and states can
1:52:59
delegate that down so some of it will
1:53:02
get used improperly
1:53:03
but in Austin there's fifty or sixty
1:53:06
opportunity zones and it's it's being
1:53:10
built now will it ultimately help
1:53:12
gentrify these now on a poorer
1:53:15
neighborhoods probably but it wasn't in
1:53:18
effect a reinvestment into the country
1:53:21
and you know no one ever defines it it's
1:53:24
all Apple did repatriate a lot of money
1:53:27
so there was some good things going on
1:53:29
there and as you can see what it didn't
1:53:32
do is didn't really screw anybody it's
1:53:35
in fact if anything it proves their
1:53:36
point that modern monetary theory kind
1:53:39
of works print whatever you want it
1:53:41
doesn't make a difference everything
1:53:42
keeps going up
1:53:44
you know so long that goes on you know I
1:53:47
one more one more clip yeah it works for
1:53:51
a while may work forever but now that if
1:53:55
you look at the money as something other
1:53:57
than money I got this clip because it I
1:54:00
had to go back and get this clip this
1:54:02
was after that the Trump State of the
1:54:05
Union speech and it was yummy Sh else
1:54:07
endure on PBS newshour
1:54:10
and she dropped this little ditty in
1:54:14
there because he was talking about
1:54:16
immigrants and it's a rewrite which I
1:54:20
think it was always intended to be just
1:54:22
listen to this yummy SHhhh clip from PBS
1:54:26
in quick mesh to you
1:54:28
you referred in your report to what you
1:54:30
call what's been referred to as either
1:54:32
misleading or inaccurate statements the
1:54:34
president made during the State of the
1:54:36
Union that's right the president has
1:54:38
been someone who has not shied away from
1:54:40
bending the truth if it pursuits his
1:54:42
political will and this speech was no
1:54:44
different he talked about a lot of
1:54:45
different things that were misleading
1:54:46
including the fact that immigrants were
1:54:48
committing a lot of crimes study after
1:54:51
study shows that undocumented immigrants
1:54:53
do not commit more crimes than American
1:54:55
citizens III think that is wrong I think
1:54:58
that check Falls no no he was talking
1:55:02
specifically well I don't know you tell
1:55:06
me what what you were thinking well is
1:55:09
that just this meme showed up a number
1:55:12
of years ago right after Trump first
1:55:13
came down the escalator and the meme was
1:55:16
that immigrants don't commit as much
1:55:20
crime as Americans right so that's not
1:55:24
the same as illegal immigrants
1:55:28
documented meaning illegal aliens who
1:55:31
are committing a crime even by being
1:55:34
here so there's no way that can even be
1:55:36
possible but did the mean was first
1:55:39
immigrants and it was and it was used to
1:55:42
trick people into associating immigrants
1:55:45
with undocumented immigrants or illegal
1:55:48
aliens which they took that term out of
1:55:50
the lexicon because you can't say
1:55:52
illegal aliens there's no people can't
1:55:54
be illegal right and so you you change
1:55:57
the
1:55:58
documented immigrants and but then so
1:56:01
the idea was to make the association in
1:56:04
your brain yes but never to really say
1:56:07
the Association just say and she
1:56:10
actually said it incorrectly here
1:56:11
she said it incorrectly because the
1:56:14
Association has been so finalized that
1:56:17
she can get away with it I never saw
1:56:19
anybody correct your on this it wasn't
1:56:21
on the next day showed there was no Mia
1:56:23
culpa no now that's the way they're
1:56:26
gonna say it and it's bullcrap you know
1:56:28
I'm gonna pull crap and she should have
1:56:30
been called out for it yeah I didn't
1:56:32
hear anybody say anything during this
1:56:34
little interview I didn't say Judy
1:56:36
corrector yeah I think you made your
1:56:38
point yeah I know I went out there you
1:56:40
could have put my little red thing at
1:56:42
the end oh I could have dammit
1:56:45
case in point you know when I set up my
1:56:49
whole Linux environment and I
1:56:50
reimplemented all my filters there was
1:56:52
one of course you know stuff that I
1:56:55
changed or started new then if someone
1:56:57
was in my my bounced file which pretty
1:57:01
much deletes the email and sends a reply
1:57:03
saying no I'm still not reading your
1:57:04
email you're deleted so this guy got
1:57:07
back through ed Z in Texas and he sends
1:57:13
form letters because even the font is
1:57:15
different dear he sends it to everybody
1:57:17
but I just want to read it to you Trump
1:57:20
is not Hitler but when an American
1:57:22
president addressing those mass rallies
1:57:24
signals that all honest journalists all
1:57:28
mexican-americans all non-christians
1:57:30
all Californians and in fact all voters
1:57:33
for the Democratic Party are disloyal
1:57:35
enemies of the state he doesn't even
1:57:38
have to spell it out nor use the words
1:57:40
in the language of his own old relatives
1:57:42
from the old country when he echoes the
1:57:45
sentiments which those who hope for a
1:57:47
new Hitler are waiting to hear
1:57:49
I invoke ein Reich ein Fuhrer ah
1:57:52
when I was small and my aunt from the
1:57:55
old country told me to do everything I
1:57:57
could to keep Hitler from gaining even
1:57:58
one posthumous victory I had no idea
1:58:01
what she was talking about I guess I had
1:58:03
to be shown what moves you regards your
1:58:07
pals IDI and all the free Texans
1:58:11
so that's the kind of shit that people
1:58:13
take away from it that's how far it goes
1:58:16
it's sad that's an it's an amygdala
1:58:19
close to rupturing right there
1:58:21
very sad yeah this guy so this is some
1:58:23
guy that you you gotten spam from and
1:58:25
you it's not spam he targets me and I
1:58:29
blocked him and but then when I reset
1:58:31
all my filters and was rebuilding my
1:58:32
mail he came through again with one
1:58:34
there's notes I wanted to share it
1:58:36
that's the kind of bullcrap that people
1:58:38
actually believe no evidence there's no
1:58:41
evidence of it now you already went to
1:58:43
the State of the Union stuff I wanted to
1:58:44
go back to the debate for one second two
1:58:50
strategies that I want us to keep a
1:58:51
couple strategies Amy is clearly going
1:58:54
for the I get you I know you you know me
1:58:57
we are one this week week well we know
1:59:02
what Bernie's going for Pete I'm just
1:59:05
not sure he is clearly an intelligence
1:59:09
asset I mean work for intelligence
1:59:11
he's very similar to Barack Obama in
1:59:14
fact I caught a little bit of the
1:59:16
opening of Saturday Night Live last
1:59:18
night where they had hashtag white Obama
1:59:20
for Pete I thought that was very funny
1:59:22
Elizabeth Warren she understands that no
1:59:27
one can win the Democrat vote without
1:59:29
the ADIS block voting block the American
1:59:32
descendants of slavery and but she's
1:59:34
gonna pitch it you know I'm glad to
1:59:36
stand on this stage my fellow Democrats
1:59:37
who talk about how important the black
1:59:40
community is at least at election time
1:59:42
here after year after year
1:59:45
agile election after election after
1:59:47
election Democrats go-to people in the
1:59:49
black community and say boy we really
1:59:52
care about these issues racism is
1:59:54
terrible we all want to do something and
1:59:56
then somehow the problem just seems to
1:59:59
keep getting worse well I think it's
2:00:01
time we have real concrete plans that
2:00:03
are going to make a difference in
2:00:05
people's lives
2:00:05
yeah which is totally empty because she
2:00:08
doesn't have a plan steyr actually said
2:00:11
reparations and then the was like cut
2:00:15
off and moved on and like when I
2:00:17
shut up you but Bo Jayden he decided it
2:00:24
was time endorsement or not I'm going
2:00:28
full-on Obama ba-bum ba-bum Obama
2:00:31
there's people right now facing what I
2:00:34
face this is accomplished and what we
2:00:36
faced without any of the help I had we
2:00:38
must move now I'm against any Democrat
2:00:41
who opposes and but takes down Obamacare
2:00:44
and then a Republican wants to get rid
2:00:46
of let me let me turn to senator Sanders
2:00:47
the president was left as President
2:00:49
Obama I think through the heck of a job
2:00:51
to compare him to what what this guy is
2:00:53
doing is absolutely I find tomorrow as
2:00:57
the u.s. excuse me as the vice president
2:01:00
nine states I work with a man who in
2:01:03
fact we worked very hard to see to it we
2:01:05
dealt with these issues in a major major
2:01:07
way I think you're so underestimated
2:01:10
with Barack Obama dude he's the first
2:01:11
man to bring together the entire world
2:01:14
196 Nations to commit to deal with
2:01:18
climate change we preached that fact
2:01:20
checks rezulin during the obama-biden
2:01:23
administration I'm also the only guy
2:01:25
that got us all weapons ban the
2:01:27
president turned to me and said Joe get
2:01:29
our combat troops out of Iraq alright so
2:01:32
he decided now is the time I don't care
2:01:34
if he's not endorsing me I'm gonna play
2:01:36
off the obama-biden told the Obama card
2:01:39
well but there was a moment and I think
2:01:41
this was a pivotal moment for the voters
2:01:45
for the viewers at home for Democrats
2:01:48
for the people on stage he made a very
2:01:52
good point and I think it kind of it
2:01:57
might have created some brain fry I
2:02:02
think we're not all that bad I wrote the
2:02:04
Violence Against Women Act I managed a
2:02:05
nine hundred billion dollar Recovery Act
2:02:08
which in fact I love his list of
2:02:13
accomplishments 100 billion dollar
2:02:15
Recovery Act well done Joe which in fact
2:02:19
put millions and millions of dollars
2:02:21
into his city before he came and helped
2:02:23
save his City I was able to do it dodge
2:02:25
naval past the chemical weapons ban
2:02:28
arms control and I was the first major
2:02:30
leader holding public office to call for
2:02:33
same-sex marriage so I don't you
2:02:35
remember when he when he gave that
2:02:37
interview and it was supposed to be a
2:02:39
big reveal that Obama was gonna come out
2:02:41
for same-sex marriage and Joe popped it
2:02:43
like three days early and everybody one
2:02:48
of the reasons Obama's not gonna give
2:02:50
them any endorsement by the way I think
2:02:52
we caught a flub here let me go back to
2:02:53
the beginning I managed a nine hundred
2:03:01
billion dollar oh it is billion I
2:03:03
thought he said million billion all
2:03:04
right back back to the moment is coming
2:03:06
man arms control and I was the first
2:03:09
major leader holding public office to
2:03:11
call for same-sex marriage so I don't
2:03:14
know what about the past a Barack Obama
2:03:17
and Joe Biden was so bad what happened
2:03:20
what is it that he wants to do away with
2:03:22
we were just beginning it was just the
2:03:24
beginning of what will be the future of
2:03:26
moving this country beyond where it is
2:03:28
now in significant ways and there's ways
2:03:30
to do that and one of the ways to do
2:03:32
that is to make sure you have someone
2:03:34
who knows how to get things done and can
2:03:36
lead the free world at the same time
2:03:38
this was to me a very good point
2:03:43
if Barack Obama was so fantastic and
2:03:47
everything was great why not build upon
2:03:50
what he did Obamacare is not gone yet
2:03:53
it's not done it has not been repealed
2:03:56
why not build upon that everybody loves
2:03:59
Obama everybody loved the I'm sorry the
2:04:02
Biden Obama administration everybody
2:04:04
thought it was great why are we trying
2:04:07
to do something completely different
2:04:09
that was never the plan under Obama
2:04:11
I'm Biden Obama it was never the plan to
2:04:14
do that why all these changes what
2:04:17
happened what is wrong and I think he's
2:04:20
making an excellent point if we all love
2:04:23
Barack Obama so much and how he ran the
2:04:26
country why is every policy completely
2:04:29
in fact some cases the opposite of him
2:04:33
the opposite Obama deported millions of
2:04:37
illegal immigrants we're not gonna stay
2:04:40
on that Obama plan no no we're gonna
2:04:41
them all back in Obamacare was flawed
2:04:46
and we wanted to improve no no no no no
2:04:48
screw it let's just do Medicare for all
2:04:51
what the hell happened that's Joe's
2:04:54
question and I think a large part of his
2:04:58
constituency translation is he thinks
2:05:01
the same but it matters not because no
2:05:04
impeachment no budget and he's dropped
2:05:06
no one cares about him he can't get
2:05:09
above fourth-place anymore it's over and
2:05:11
done with
2:05:12
I disagree of course yeah but you'll
2:05:15
agree with me that this this why the
2:05:17
Democrats are in fact want to implement
2:05:20
policies counter to what the great Obama
2:05:23
did is something that is just not
2:05:25
discussed this it's not recognized I
2:05:29
totally agree with that and he makes a
2:05:31
good point maybe he should like start at
2:05:34
that point earlier well Pete of course
2:05:37
late in the game to dream that one out
2:05:39
well Pete Buddha judge had an answer
2:05:41
respond then senator Sanders
2:05:46
achievements were phenomenally important
2:05:48
because they met the moment but now we
2:05:51
have to meet this moment and this moment
2:05:54
is different the next president is going
2:05:56
to face challenges from global health
2:05:59
security like what we're seeing coming
2:06:00
out of China to cybersecurity and
2:06:03
election security challenges that were
2:06:05
barely thought of a few years ago that's
2:06:08
all we heard of a few years ago what are
2:06:10
you talking about poot PSYOP Pete get
2:06:14
out of here mayor Pete thing which is
2:06:25
kind of funny it sounds like you know
2:06:27
democracy now is not a big fan of Pete
2:06:31
didn't go anywhere anywhere else but
2:06:34
democracy now played it in more election
2:06:36
news The Daily Beast reports earlier
2:06:39
this week former mayor Pete Buddha
2:06:41
judges campaign removed the name of the
2:06:44
former head of a data company that
2:06:46
contracts with ice from the list of
2:06:48
co-hosts of a Buddha judge fundraiser in
2:06:50
Washington DC after being contacted by
2:06:53
The Daily
2:06:54
East Jacob Shapiro is the former
2:06:56
president of giant oak which was founded
2:06:58
by a former high-level Customs and
2:07:01
Border Protection official and has
2:07:03
received nearly forty five million
2:07:04
dollars in immigration and customs
2:07:07
enforcement contracts over the past six
2:07:09
years know that move on people we're all
2:07:12
crooked here move on
2:07:13
don't don't focus on him don't get many
2:07:16
farter what I thought would be helpful
2:07:21
because you know this show changes our
2:07:23
attitudes changes
2:07:25
Trump basically broke everything which
2:07:28
is fantastic I mean it invigorated my
2:07:30
thinking it's like oh it's something
2:07:32
different going on there's a new way of
2:07:34
doing politics
2:07:37
so the State of the Union was rowdy it
2:07:41
was you know unpress unprecedented in
2:07:45
the reality show moments of course was
2:07:48
just great marketing he's a marketeer
2:07:50
connecting personal stories to his
2:07:53
outcomes taking responsibility for
2:07:56
taking credit for it and at the same
2:07:58
time setting a trap like you can't
2:08:00
criticize that because you're gonna
2:08:01
criticize the the lady with the with the
2:08:04
the premature a child who's still alive
2:08:08
you're gonna criticize the Tuskegee
2:08:10
Airmen you're gonna criticize the guy
2:08:12
from Redemption with his alcohol problem
2:08:15
and came back and as now has a is an
2:08:17
upstanding member of society no you're
2:08:19
not gonna do that we had everybody
2:08:22
dressed in or everybody Nancy squad
2:08:25
dressed in white and also narrows up and
2:08:29
screaming House bill three House bill
2:08:31
three so the rules have changed let's go
2:08:35
back to the President Obama State of the
2:08:38
Union which I think at the time we too
2:08:41
thought it was inappropriate when this
2:08:44
happened and this of course is well this
2:08:47
is a little bit of the I forget which
2:08:49
Republican said you lie when it came to
2:08:52
immigration in hindsight I think the guy
2:08:55
was right because you know it was about
2:08:57
rights of undocumented
2:09:02
the workers and also the media and the
2:09:06
political fallout so this would have
2:09:08
been I don't remember what year this do
2:09:12
you remember when the when the you lie
2:09:13
thing was what state of the union that
2:09:15
was a while ago I'm thinking 2009 I'm
2:09:20
thinking something like that as well
2:09:22
just to show you how things early early
2:09:24
this too is false the reforms the
2:09:29
reforms I'm proposing would not apply to
2:09:32
those who are here illegally
2:09:39
it was stunning to hear such a statement
2:09:42
made on the floor of the House and the
2:09:44
president of the United States thus
2:09:46
speaking how did we get to a point where
2:09:58
it's okay to yell you lie at the
2:10:00
president while he's speaking to
2:10:02
Congress all that precipitated this
2:10:04
moment the you lie moment a lot of
2:10:06
things everything from the president not
2:10:09
being welcomed in American classrooms to
2:10:11
people casually wearing t-shirts with
2:10:14
his image and Hitler and the Joker this
2:10:17
is awfully cavalier awfully casual if
2:10:21
not callous so Phil where does this come
2:10:23
from and are we saying now that it's
2:10:25
okay to openly criticize the president
2:10:27
to get this anti anti Obama movement of
2:10:31
fueled some people here sense racial
2:10:34
overtones to the Wilson heckle showing
2:10:36
disrespect to a black president of
2:10:38
something to some South Carolinians I
2:10:41
think a minority can accept much better
2:10:43
than if the president were not an
2:10:45
African American I don't know how you
2:10:46
could not say that this has a racial
2:10:50
effect associated with it the very first
2:10:52
president in the television age to be
2:10:55
heckled the first president to suffer a
2:10:58
heckling in that situation is the first
2:11:01
black president noble whelming portion
2:11:03
of the intensely demonstrated animosity
2:11:08
toward President Barack Obama is based
2:11:11
on the fact that he is a black man so
2:11:14
the more things change the more they
2:11:16
stay the same it's you know it's all of
2:11:18
course immediately because he's black
2:11:21
totally unbelievable that that the
2:11:24
connection is made but okay here's what
2:11:27
here's what's going on this tit for tat
2:11:30
will go on forever so we had a
2:11:33
Republican guy clearly a racist who you
2:11:36
know and implications of calling him
2:11:39
Hitler and did Joker and and all those
2:11:41
memes were there it's the same thing
2:11:43
yeah
2:11:44
we have longer memories than most
2:11:45
because we've got clips to back it up it
2:11:47
was also at Bush now of course it was
2:11:50
but but because the Republicans started
2:11:53
this one in particular Republicans
2:11:54
started with you know heckling the black
2:11:57
man and so now we get the the mayhem
2:12:03
that we get about the Republican
2:12:05
president and guaranteed the next
2:12:07
Democrat president is going to be
2:12:09
impeached on day three in office because
2:12:12
the people who we elect are shitheels
2:12:16
pretty much all of them and this is what
2:12:19
goes on all the time so it and anybody
2:12:22
can be pretend to be holier than thou
2:12:24
but you're not and we've changed too
2:12:26
we've become much more accepting of this
2:12:28
type of behavior and you know social
2:12:31
media has a lot to do with it the
2:12:33
overall discourse how people communicate
2:12:36
but let's not kid each other this is
2:12:39
things have changed and me personally I
2:12:42
like it I like it with benefit of those
2:12:45
who enjoy being entertained all the time
2:12:48
how can you argue any of that it's so
2:12:51
obvious that's the that's the correct
2:12:53
way to view it I'm gonna show my food by
2:12:56
donation to no agenda imagine all the
2:12:58
people who could do gossip oh yeah
2:13:00
that'd be fun
2:13:04
[Music]

2:22:08
we have Meetup report from Norway this
2:22:11
was the first one Michael tiny homes
2:22:14
Mutual wyndcomm Bernstein John Adam
2:22:18
happy to report that last night's first
2:22:19
ever Norway No Agenda meetup was a
2:22:21
rousing success in total we had five
2:22:24
slaves that enjoyed moose burgers mmm
2:22:27
that sounds good actually that sounds
2:22:30
good in there next time moose burger I
2:22:34
would love a moose burger as well hmm
2:22:40
moose burgers expensive Norwegian beer
2:22:42
and non triggering convo while most
2:22:45
likely spotting to spook you know who
2:22:47
you are I believe the Norway team will
2:22:49
make this a regular event and even
2:22:51
though I saw the picture it was obvious
2:22:53
that anyone who looks like mayor Pete
2:22:56
probably spooked dress wise I believe
2:23:00
the Norway team will make this a regular
2:23:02
event and even though unfortunately I
2:23:03
will not be able to attend I'll be
2:23:04
donating 33 dollars on behalf of their
2:23:06
continued success one special shout out
2:23:08
to hunt Spader who picked me up hours
2:23:11
before the event to show me this
2:23:13
fantastic city how incredible how
2:23:15
incredibly No Agenda awesome is that and
2:23:18
I I allow the use of the word awesome
2:23:20
because yes that's exactly who we are
2:23:22
we got your knights and dames of tokyo
2:23:24
taking care of a bids like we are we
2:23:26
have sounds corny but we are a family we
2:23:30
have some meetup reports that were sent
2:23:33
in via audio Jessie coy Nelson who has
2:23:36
diligently been going around the Middle
2:23:38
East trying to organize boys organize
2:23:40
meetups has been unsuccessful in
2:23:44
Beirut's was unsuccessful in where was
2:23:49
he after that Ramallah Ramallah here's
2:23:52
his report from from the Ramallah Meetup
2:23:55
hey this is Jesse coy Nelson here in
2:23:58
Palestine I feel like a bit of a stalker
2:24:01
as I wait outside of the bar Barley's to
2:24:04
see if anybody goes in I'll give it
2:24:05
another 20 minutes past the meetup time
2:24:08
it was a long shot but I figured I'd
2:24:10
give it a try
2:24:11
as far as Ramallah it's very interesting
2:24:14
very busy bustling place come along the
2:24:17
main street you got lots of restaurants
2:24:19
cafes lots of nightlife and people are
2:24:22
just out and about and it's always
2:24:26
interesting to go to a place that you
2:24:28
hear about and you wonder what it's like
2:24:29
and you go there and find out and it's
2:24:33
very nice here okay yes unfortunately no
2:24:37
one else attended the Ramallah No Agenda
2:24:38
meetup but I believe that they had the
2:24:41
Jaffa meet up today and I expect some of
2:24:43
our Israeli listeners to attend Jesse
2:24:48
Coyne Nelson by the way will continue
2:24:50
he's already been I think in a hundred
2:24:52
and thirty different countries or
2:24:54
something he's not gonna stop and he
2:24:56
will be in Cairo on Tuesday and we'll be
2:25:00
talking about that in a second in the
2:25:01
overview meanwhile we had the Toronto
2:25:03
meet-up me-80 report this is its rope
2:25:08
time so I'm out here in the morning this
2:25:14
is serge white the nights I have nothing
2:25:17
else to say there's always one guy at
2:25:23
the meetup that sounds like that if you
2:25:24
notice that there's always one guy any
2:25:28
point yeah it's so there's always one
2:25:30
guy that sounds like this in the morning
2:25:32
and this is Sir asset of the cane and
2:25:34
avian Woods from the Toronto meet up
2:25:39
a half-hearted in the morning from
2:25:44

2:25:45

2:25:47

2:26:06

2:26:08

2:26:12

2:26:15

2:27:11
how well this comes through
2:27:14
[Music]
2:27:19
apparently brandon goes to a lot of
2:27:21

2:28:34
places we can always say there wasn't no
2:28:36

2:29:29
going to a night our meetup meetup No
2:29:34
Agenda meetups calm admin yeah did we
2:29:38
check on that do we have a night named
2:29:39
for him Daniel but he a night knee I
2:29:46
know his name but the night name was
2:29:48
supposed to be a surprise
2:29:49
maybe well I'm sure I'm sure he's
2:29:52
surprised now Dan you'll let us know
2:29:55
what your night name is gonna be because
2:29:57
it's well-deserved no agenda meetups
2:29:58
calm is providing tremendous value not
2:30:01
so much for the fort no monetary for the
2:30:03
show but for the show for the producers
2:30:06
of the show it is it kicks ass over any
2:30:09
other infrastructure that we've tried
2:30:11
that was commercial like meetups calm no
2:30:14
agenda meetups calm perfectly suited for
2:30:16
us is where you can find a meetup near
2:30:19
you at a time near you and if there
2:30:22
isn't one all you have to do is start
2:30:24
one put it on the calendar yourself and
2:30:26
the keeper and I will be in Florida
2:30:28
Delray Beach meet up on the 21st of
2:30:30
February see you there
2:30:34
[Music]
2:30:42
[Music]
2:30:44
me check it all he'll be
2:30:51
[Music]
2:30:52
it's like a party
2:30:57
there we go sorry three clips left that
2:31:02
I want to play for sure okay one of them
2:31:07
is I think oh well let's just play this
2:31:09
a game an odd clip this is the talking
2:31:12
about this PBS report on the Starliner
2:31:14
or so with Starliner this is like
2:31:16
there's idea of the independent launches
2:31:19
into space by Boeing and X SpaceX or
2:31:24
whatever they call yeah and apparently
2:31:26
the Boeing stuff is again there they're
2:31:29
having all kinds of software issues and
2:31:31
here's a report so later in the week we
2:31:34
also had kind of an update to some of
2:31:36
the things that people were figuring out
2:31:37
about the Starliner project what's right
2:31:39
so right now there are two companies
2:31:41
that are creating these new vehicles to
2:31:43
take astronauts to and from the
2:31:44
International Space Station and they're
2:31:46
getting really close to actually putting
2:31:48
people on those vehicles but before they
2:31:50
do that they have to do these uncrewed
2:31:53
flight tests and Boeing did it's on
2:31:55
crewed flight test in December and it
2:31:57
didn't really go according to plan at
2:31:59
the time a software glitch presented to
2:32:04
the capsule from getting into the right
2:32:05
orbit so didn't actually go to the
2:32:07
International Space Station like it's
2:32:09
supposed to but now we're learning that
2:32:11
there was actually a second software
2:32:13
glitch that was corrected at the time
2:32:17
but if it hadn't been corrected it could
2:32:20
have been a catastrophic failure for the
2:32:22
spacecraft and it could have maybe been
2:32:24
destroyed when it reinterred Earth's
2:32:26
atmosphere we don't know because
2:32:28
fortunately they fixed it but it is kind
2:32:31
of highlighting that boeing has having
2:32:33
these these coding problems and NASA is
2:32:36
really doing a deep investigation into
2:32:38
that as the Starliner project is
2:32:40
happening you also have the SpaceX
2:32:41
project that's kind of working in
2:32:43
parallel and that is planning on putting
2:32:45
people into orbit right so initially
2:32:47
when they chose these two providers it
2:32:50
was supposed to spark competition and
2:32:52
man since then that competition has
2:32:55
really heated up they definitely are
2:32:56
constantly going back and forth with one
2:32:59
another and trying to prove and beat out
2:33:01
the other the provider beating out your
2:33:06
other provider and a half a game the
2:33:08
writer reminder
2:33:10
that was kind of interesting you know
2:33:12
this is going on they were still sending
2:33:13
our guys to the Space Station
2:33:15
thanks to Russia mm-hmm their engines
2:33:17
yep we don't have well their engines and
2:33:20
then their vehicles too I mean we have
2:33:22
to go to Russia yeah our astronaut goes
2:33:25
the Russian gets on a Russian product
2:33:27
and shoots it up they shoot it up nude
2:33:29
there you go
2:33:30
I found this in interesting clip this is
2:33:32
the Trump comment clip and it's just
2:33:35
something he's just giving us some talk
2:33:37
to he just like given talks all the time
2:33:39
he's just he said this little ditty in
2:33:41
here and I kind of looked into it and
2:33:43
but it did catch me off guard behind in
2:33:46
the company once my administration will
2:33:48
hold summits just like this one in
2:33:50
cities across the country working
2:33:52
closely with community leaders workers
2:33:54
entrepreneurs employers and faiths the
2:33:56
leaders are great faith leaders so many
2:33:59
great people I've met you know we got
2:34:02
rid of the Jensen amendment so they can
2:34:04
speak their will right
2:34:08
John do tell us about the Johnson
2:34:11
amendment well apparently this was put
2:34:13
in place I think in the 50s and it had
2:34:15
to do with 501 C 3s and how they can
2:34:18
they can't come out for and I think it
2:34:22
also has to do with churches because
2:34:24
that's what he's specifically referring
2:34:25
to where if you're a church and you're a
2:34:28
pastor you can't go in front of your
2:34:30
congregation and say vote for Trump
2:34:33
we've known about this for a while
2:34:35
decided with an executive order just
2:34:39
kill this thing
2:34:40
yeah has not been talked about is not
2:34:45
reported the media's flat-footed again
2:34:47
they don't know what the hell's I doing
2:34:49
I'd say they'd want a report on that as
2:34:50
something with it
2:34:52
terrific good now wasn't it wait a
2:34:55
minute that's not true wasn't it before
2:34:58
the impeachment I recall there was a
2:35:02
brief moment of reporting I can't
2:35:07
remember but it certainly was on the
2:35:09
radar just briefly and drop right off
2:35:12
but yet to have short sure I think the
2:35:15
the complaint went something like this
2:35:16
well you know you can't be not be paying
2:35:19
taxes and you'll have the government
2:35:21
subsidize your church if it's all gonna
2:35:22
be
2:35:23
then it's you know emoluments Claus I
2:35:25
don't know the set was the original
2:35:27
thinking behind it Johnson amendment
2:35:29
it's like you're getting a tax break and
2:35:31
no he can't mix government with you know
2:35:33
religion and I think with fair point by
2:35:39
the at fair point you know if you're
2:35:42
gonna get tax breaks there's certain
2:35:44
thing okay if you're gonna have a
2:35:45
tax-free organization you're gonna your
2:35:48
speech will be controlled that's why we
2:35:50
never went that route for this very
2:35:53
reason you don't want the government
2:35:54
telling you what you can and can't do
2:35:57
well that's gone by the wayside I think
2:36:01
and unless it gets challenged it that
2:36:02
means the next line because the next to
2:36:06
the 2010 election you're gonna have a
2:36:08
lot of fundamentalist preachers you know
2:36:11
evangelist preachers telling people to
2:36:14
vote for Trump because you know they're
2:36:17
gonna do that especially if Bernie runs
2:36:18
cuz he's a socialist it's religion he's
2:36:20
an atheist notice we put a stop you when
2:36:22
I vote for an atheist you know so this
2:36:27
is like a little little thing that
2:36:29
nobody you know this should be a scandal
2:36:31
to me but are there two stupid women
2:36:38
Zinnemann Vinh men lieutenant colonel
2:36:44
please should have been called out for
2:36:47
not calling him lieutenant colonel yes I
2:36:50
think it was a big issue so now this is
2:36:54
a report this may set a new trend that I
2:36:56
don't this is a classic democracy now
2:37:00
kind of let's add a new element to the
2:37:02
way we report stories okay and this is
2:37:05
the report on the old the old El Paso
2:37:08
shooting apparently they've found the
2:37:09
guy guilty or what I ready go but the
2:37:11
way it was reported to me introduces
2:37:14
some real problems I'm looking for the
2:37:18
clip John which one no sorry it says
2:37:20
report on old you know Paso Texas the
2:37:25
white man suspected of killing 22 people
2:37:27
had now passed gotta love that's that
2:37:29
white man report you know what this is
2:37:33
you can't how do you get away with
2:37:35
the white man well it's kind of you're
2:37:38
gonna see the black man the Puerto Rican
2:37:39
that Mexican you're gonna start using
2:37:41
that all the time as an adjective in
2:37:43
front of whoever's doing stuff the I
2:37:45
mean if you start doing that you're
2:37:47
gonna go down the road to perdition but
2:37:50
let's play it again I think that the
2:37:52
white man is the new Florida man yeah
2:37:56
like instead of a Florida man just start
2:37:58
over just replace searching for place a
2:38:00
Florida man with a white man you know
2:38:02
Paso Texas the white man suspected of
2:38:05
killing 22 people at now Paso Walmart
2:38:07
last August has been charged with
2:38:09
federal hate crimes the alleged killer
2:38:11
is accused of targeting Latinos in
2:38:13
racially motivated massacre moments
2:38:15
before the August 3rd shooting the
2:38:17
shooter published an online manifesto
2:38:20
echoing president Trump's rhetoric about
2:38:22
an invasion of immigrants
2:38:25
boy well if you pay attention this white
2:38:30
man thing yeah if you want I will do
2:38:33
that with a bow of black criminals so
2:38:34
digit somebody Rob's a bank I just don't
2:38:38
see it I don't well to be fair in
2:38:42
context of the report which claims it
2:38:46
was racially motivated against brown
2:38:48
people although they said Latinos should
2:38:51
have said brown people to be honest
2:38:53
that's that would be the style guide if
2:38:54
you're gonna say a white man yes he shot
2:38:56
Brown people that would be fair but I
2:39:00
think you know but she did no but in the
2:39:02
context it was a racially motivated I'm
2:39:06
going to wind up with three clips for
2:39:08
today about the homelessness situation
2:39:11
in Austin Texas which is quickly
2:39:13
becoming a model of how not to do things
2:39:16
especially when you have examples of
2:39:20
California Washington State Oregon we
2:39:24
have very clear models of how it does
2:39:28
not work so we'll start with on a second
2:39:37
we start with a beak now this actually
2:39:39
happened earlier in the week we had a
2:39:42
very big fire under uh under a highway
2:39:45
here in Austin couches TV
2:39:48
propane tanks actually pad locked areas
2:39:51
mattresses trash and literally hundreds
2:39:54
of needles it's an entire system of
2:39:56
underground homes dope tops
2:39:59
refrigerators bunk beds all built into
2:40:02
this bridge I like landscaping and so I
2:40:06
dug it big-ass cave into the wall under
2:40:09
the bridge about ten feet off the ground
2:40:12
bridge Johnson believes he's one of
2:40:14
about a hundred people living under the
2:40:16
bridge I mean I've got the furnace and
2:40:18
chimney in there and nice and warm and
2:40:20
cozy this catacomb like camp spans
2:40:22
roughly three football field
2:40:24
Monday morning it went up in flames we
2:40:27
came down here for medical calls a lot
2:40:28
we've always feared there being a fire
2:40:30
there's a fire one arrival there were no
2:40:32
residents of the camp that we had to
2:40:34
deal with and rescue everyone appears to
2:40:37
be okay the firefighters were worried
2:40:40
about spaces and possibly people they
2:40:43
just couldn't reach it is definitely a
2:40:45
very unsafe situation for our
2:40:46
firefighters as they're gonna have to
2:40:48
dig through this stuff for hours hazmat
2:40:50
has been called in just to make sure
2:40:51
that you know it's safe for our guys to
2:40:54
go down there text docs and hazmat to
2:40:56
the scene as their bridge inspectors
2:40:58
were unable to access the fire starting
2:41:00
point otherwise they become very
2:41:02
resourceful and dealing with lack of no
2:41:04
power so there was a generator
2:41:05
that we have to account for without
2:41:07
leaking into the watershed last week the
2:41:09
city began cleaning up homeless camps
2:41:11
and watersheds as part of a 250 thousand
2:41:14
dollar year-long contract that could be
2:41:16
extended the city is flexible on how
2:41:18
many sites they'll clean up this year
2:41:20
but right now they're slated to clean
2:41:21
approximately 20 this site was not on
2:41:24
the city's initial list of spots to
2:41:26
clean and text dot tells us the bridge
2:41:27
is fine rich johnson tells us the room
2:41:30
he carved out under that bridge is also
2:41:32
okay he plans to return as soon as
2:41:34
possible so this was quite to me quite
2:41:38
spectacular three football fields of
2:41:42
dwelling space dug out underneath the
2:41:45
highway apparently not Dane any danger
2:41:48
to the integrity of the structure but
2:41:50
something caught fire and just burning
2:41:53
has all kinds of stuff yeah I think the
2:41:55
guy who we heard the beginning of the
2:41:57
report says oh no I'm like I like
2:41:59
building things he could be an architect
2:42:01
I guess but now I decides to do that
2:42:04
under the bridge and I have no I really
2:42:07
am losing compassion for the campers
2:42:09
because that's what this is this is
2:42:11
they've been driven out of downtown so
2:42:13
no longer do we have people camping in
2:42:15
downtown Austin by ordinance but go
2:42:17
ahead and just go out anywhere else you
2:42:19
want to and these aren't even Austinites
2:42:21
anymore that these are many of them
2:42:23
vagrants and harassing people in their
2:42:26
cars with squeegees etc and I'm becoming
2:42:28
quite negative about them as always we
2:42:32
have our monthly meeting in Austin it
2:42:34
happens on Thursday you heard in the
2:42:36
report hundreds of needles found around
2:42:37
this camp this is from the Thursday
2:42:42
council meeting councilmember Allison
2:42:45
alter she had something to say about
2:42:47
these needles the needles people use
2:42:55
needles for health reasons and for
2:42:57
insulin and other stuff and I believe
2:43:00
that's what we were seeing and so I just
2:43:03
wanted to throw that out there that a
2:43:05
lot of folks almost have health issues
2:43:07
and they're using the needles for health
2:43:10
reason that doesn't make them safe to be
2:43:12
on the ground but it but
2:43:15
that is one of the reasons that we may
2:43:17
be finding those in those periods well
2:43:21
this woman is about to be run out of
2:43:23
town oh yeah it done though the needles
2:43:25
are clearly for health issues for
2:43:27
insulin which I'm sure they have in
2:43:29
their refrigerator right nearby this is
2:43:32
how insane has become in Austin Texas
2:43:35
that she can't even admit that people
2:43:37
are doing drugs no no no no it's for
2:43:40
health reasons don't be so mean to them
2:43:42
please so now the City of Austin has yet
2:43:47
again a fabulous idea if you recall we
2:43:50
had a consultant come in who the reports
2:43:54
at the time where she quit after one day
2:43:56
on the job now they've changed that to
2:43:58
four months but she really didn't do
2:44:00
anything but don't worry we found that
2:44:03
another consultant penny Boston is
2:44:05
recruiting more help internally and
2:44:07
externally to work on homelessness
2:44:09
issues today the council approved hiring
2:44:11
Matthew Doherty as a consultant already
2:44:13
helped shape national homelessness
2:44:15
policy for years Jake's an investigator
2:44:17
Kevin Clarke spoke to city management
2:44:19
about the decision to increase staffing
2:44:21
and the difficult lessons learned last
2:44:24
year t lives life on the streets she's
2:44:27
far removed from the homelessness policy
2:44:29
debate inside City Hall where the movers
2:44:31
and shakers are changing again the city
2:44:33
wants to pay close to one hundred
2:44:35
thousand dollars to Matthew Doherty who
2:44:37
would work through the end of September
2:44:39
to help Austin Dougherty has national
2:44:41
connections having been executive
2:44:43
director of the United States
2:44:44
interagency Council on homelessness
2:44:46
we're certainly looking forward to his
2:44:48
ideas so ultimately recommendations that
2:44:51
he provides connections and coordination
2:44:54
this comes as Austin is creating a
2:44:56
homelessness services division within
2:44:58
the city's Public Health Department it's
2:45:00
expected to include multiple full-time
2:45:02
employees and a public information
2:45:03
officer it gives what was a one-person
2:45:07
homeless strategy office it gives it the
2:45:10
support that we need and believe we
2:45:12
believe is a much more appropriate
2:45:13
Laurie pampy Lou Harris resigned as
2:45:15
Austin's homeless strategy officer on
2:45:17
the job less than four months in emails
2:45:20
from December about her long-term goals
2:45:22
for homelessness policy
2:45:23
she told city management I was hoping
2:45:25
for enough time to
2:45:26
an appropriate assessment asset mapping
2:45:29
and intersectional discovery that would
2:45:31
lead to some concrete planning and
2:45:33
action steps
2:45:34
I never was given the space or time to
2:45:36
do this appropriately or would the focus
2:45:38
needed she also told staff I have seen
2:45:40
it being exhibited from elected
2:45:42
officials that they are looking for the
2:45:43
solutions for today and not the solving
2:45:46
of the issue for the future I have a
2:45:48
challenge with that it was a lot that
2:45:49
Lori could have a lot of additional
2:45:51
support from an administrative
2:45:53
perspective that Lori didn't have that
2:45:56
we certainly learned in terms of lessons
2:45:58
sorely lacking from this report about
2:46:01
the brand-new consultant to fix Austin's
2:46:04
homelessness problem is the actual
2:46:07
background of Mathew Doherty who was
2:46:09
appointed in 2015 by the Obama
2:46:12
administration to lead the u.s.
2:46:13
interagency Council on homelessness
2:46:15
which was tasked with coordinating the
2:46:18
federal response to homelessness across
2:46:20
19 agencies including Department of
2:46:23
housing Urban Development education
2:46:24
labor and commerce and was fired last
2:46:28
year by the Trump administration for
2:46:31
utter failings mainly in California this
2:46:35
is the dickhead we're bringing here to
2:46:37
fix it in Austin can you believe that
2:46:39
shit yeah of course and they don't even
2:46:42
you do in Austin they don't throw it
2:46:45
away
2:46:46
they don't even report it and it's gonna
2:46:49
something's gonna happen you know I
2:46:51
think the point that really the real
2:46:54
point is why wasn't that reported by the
2:46:56
newest media that you have there in
2:46:58
Austin they can look it up you looked it
2:47:00
up it was so hard I had to do a whole
2:47:03
search and type the guy's name and spell
2:47:04
it properly is insane I I can understand
2:47:07
how hard it is a teenage girl that all
2:47:14
do I have to do I have to really really
2:47:19
really disappointing that's funny
2:47:22
yes so the struggle continues in the
2:47:27
capital of the drone star state
2:47:28
everybody and on Thursday I have an OTG
2:47:30
update that I'm dying to share with you
2:47:32
we got lots of good stuff and who they
2:47:34
heck knows what else is gonna happen
2:47:35
because it's nuts out there oh by the
2:47:37
way United Kingdom's of of England and
2:47:41
gitmo nation east good luck with that
2:47:43
storm they got a massive storm coming
2:47:45
it's like everything shut down no
2:47:48
flights no trains bridges they're
2:47:50
looking at 80 90 mile an hour winds yeah
2:47:54
so we're thinking of you we're thinking
2:47:57
of you
2:47:58
we're thinking you were thinking about
2:48:01
sure yeah please think of us consider
2:48:03
supporting the value for value network
2:48:05
of the No Agenda show at Dvorak org
2:48:08
slash na and we look forward to
2:48:10
returning back to you probably with you
2:48:14
know if we still if we don't if we're
2:48:15
alive we'll have an update on the Wuhan
2:48:17
virus and everything else is going on
2:48:19
coming to you from opportunities own 33
2:48:22
in the frontier of Austin Texas capital
2:48:24
the drone star State we are FEMA region
2:48:25
number six and proud of it in the
2:48:27
morning everybody I'm Adam curry and
2:48:29

2:48:31
having a little wind storm up here I'm
2:48:33
John C Dvorak we return on Thursday
2:48:35
right here on now and not not not with
2:48:38
no agenda until then adios mofos and
2:48:42
such
2:48:43
[Music]
2:48:50
oh yes end of shows from Fletcher and
2:48:55
Starkweather back up and back up and
2:48:58
back up and experiment we call democracy
2:49:36

2:49:38
baby would fatally painless
2:49:41
[Music]
2:49:42
I started some fun this is a lot of fun
2:50:05
[Music]
2:50:11
thank yourself because nobody else is
2:50:14
going to do henceforth for with
2:50:18
indubitably affirmative Lee for the
2:50:20
Democrats Joe I want to answer really I
2:50:24
think you should come over keep
2:50:26
listening to this same debate and it is
2:50:28
not real
2:50:28
I'm the President of the United States I
2:50:30
have all of the power for Republicans
2:50:33
and Democrats we saw what happens when
2:50:36
that happened these things are all
2:50:37
connected but that's the point
2:50:39
so are all of the things that need to
2:50:41
change Americans feel like the political
2:50:43
parties have been playing you lose I
2:50:44
lose you lose I lose for years and you
2:50:47
know who's been losing this entire time
2:50:48
we have a drug offense they go directly
2:50:52
mandatory prison I'm assuming mandatory
2:50:55
treatment there's no way around it you
2:50:59
may want to nibble around the edges we
2:51:05
bring our party together it's an issue
2:51:08
we can all agree on and fight in the
2:51:11
corruption I got this bill well the
2:51:14
reality is actually Joe Biden's right
2:51:16
they called me I talked and I believe I
2:51:19
can get it done meeting the moment
2:51:20
meeting the moment we had a moment for
2:51:22
the last few weeks close your eyes
2:51:24
everybody remember what you saw on
2:51:25
television largely black and brown women
2:51:28
who do this work for entrepreneurs were
2:51:30
black and brown and minorities to be
2:51:32
able to get the heart and soul of this
2:51:34
party is diversity black people Latinos
2:51:37
AAPI people Native Americans and white
2:51:40
people but for goodness sakes
2:51:48
[Music]
2:51:57
mofo Dvorak dot org slash and a the
2:52:03
whole thing is a joke
0:00 0:00
