0:10
Unknown: This is no agenda,
reading
0:13
Adam Curry: PDF so you don't
have to and broadcasting live
0:17
from the heart of the Texas Hill
Country here and FEMA Region
0:19
number six in the morning,
everybody. I'm Adam curry and
0:23
from
0:23
John C Dvorak: Northern Silicon
Valley where everybody's cutting
0:25
Ukraine loose and Jhansi Dvorak
0:30
Adam Curry: buzzkill Oh yeah,
that's over. That is over. It's
0:36
over.
0:38
John C Dvorak: Goodbye. Like, I
think we luckily caught the
0:43
Richard Haass Yeah. Moment on
Morning Joe, Ernie. Joe. Yeah,
0:49
Adam Curry: that was it. That
was the that was the gauge was
0:51
John C Dvorak: the signal was
this signified to tell these
0:54
people It's over once it take
the orders.
0:58
Adam Curry: Is it like mid
morning, Joe? Morning, Joe,
1:01
right
1:02
John C Dvorak: at the top of the
list.
1:05
Adam Curry: Cut it out. Done.
It's over. I mean, you saw the
1:09
the articles that there's some
secret agreement between the US
1:14
and Germany the insiders are
talking about was I think was
1:19
was built who had that article.
1:21
John C Dvorak: What it even
better is I have a series of
1:24
these clips. Oh,
1:25
Adam Curry: he could share
retrieved becomes prepared.
1:30
John C Dvorak: Okay. About Boris
Johnson. Ah,
1:33
Adam Curry: the warmonger the
peace, peace boiler.
1:38
John C Dvorak: And this was I
think, because this is getting
1:41
out. It hasn't hit it's not
mainstream media USA but it's
1:45
around the world. You should
1:46
Adam Curry: probably set it up a
little. Explain what we've we've
1:49
talked about this several times,
just so people understand.
1:52
Disgust. Yeah, but so people
really understand what's
1:55
happening here. What has got to
be explained in these clips.
1:57
Okay, well, that's even better.
Boris
1:59
John C Dvorak: Johnson kills
peace deal one and turning
2:01
Unknown: to the conflict in
Ukraine, where a top official in
2:05
Kyiv claims a peace deal was
Moscow could have been reached
2:08
last year. But the UK leader at
the time, Boris Johnson rejected
2:12
the talks, insisting that the
Ukrainians continue to fight,
2:15
let me pause, because, in my
2:17
opinion, the Russians really
believed until the very end,
2:20
that they could have pressed us
so we would accept neutrality.
2:24
This was the main thing for
them. They were ready to end the
2:27
war if we accepted neutrality,
like Finland once did, and that
2:31
we make a commitment to not join
NATO. When we returned from
2:36
Istanbul, Boris Johnson came to
Kyiv and said that we would not
2:39
sign anything with them at all.
And let's just continue
2:42
fighting.
2:44
This is the first time that a
senior Ukrainian official, very
2:48
close associate of President
Zelensky and someone who was on
2:52
the negotiation team from
Ukraine, coming out and saying
2:56
that these rumors were indeed
true that a peace agreement was
3:02
almost a place that Russia
demanded chiefly neutrality that
3:07
Ukraine wouldn't join NATO. And
that is why there was this this
3:12
push towards kept pressure,
Ukrainian Ukrainian authorities.
3:17
And then he confirmed something
that many others have said since
3:22
that Boris Johnson, the Prime
Minister of Great Britain,
3:26
himself, came to Kev and he said
don't do it. Don't sign a peace
3:31
agreement with the Russians
continue with the war. And that
3:34
was the turning point, allegedly
after which President Solinsky
3:39
came out and said to Cabal until
they reach Ukraine's borders,
3:44
templates, 1991. You
3:46
Adam Curry: know, Boris Johnson
doing that. And then of course,
3:50
he was no longer Prime Minister.
Right after that, because of the
3:54
COVID scandals. It's a bit like
when I told Joe Rogan to move to
4:00
Austin, and then he moved in, I
was gone. And he's like, What
4:04
are all these tents everywhere?
In New York, I was in the hill
4:11
country. He's
4:12
John C Dvorak: like getting into
move there. As you're leaving
4:14
here, buy my place.
4:18
Adam Curry: By my place for 20
million. It's worth it. Come on.
4:24
What do you think he must have?
There must have been some more.
4:29
Some more in the deal there for
Boris jawed. He didn't just go
4:32
say hey, don't sign it. He must
have said hey, don't sign it.
4:35
Here's some numbers. If you
happen to be in Switzerland,
4:38
they'll come in handy.
4:40
John C Dvorak: There may be
something like that. None of us
4:43
really fully explained in these
clips. I have a lot of them. No,
4:46
because it goes really kind of
brings out some details that we
4:49
have not heard that I at least
that I know of. In fact, I have.
4:54
Most of my clips today are about
stuff I didn't know about. But
4:59
let's go to are tuned, there's a
WTF moment here. Since
5:03
Unknown: then there has been a
tremendous loss of life,
5:07
hundreds of 1000s of Ukrainian
soldiers killed, injured huge
5:12
swaths of the country,
devastated. And now they're
5:16
talking about negotiations
again, again, the first time
5:20
that a senior Ukrainian official
has come out and shared those
5:23
details. And this comes, comes
at a time when, in many
5:27
publications around the world,
and from officials from senior
5:31
officials in Europe and America,
we're hearing the word peace
5:35
negotiations, the words peace,
negotiations more and more
5:39
something that seemingly was
anathema at the start of 2023,
5:45
when there were these these
hopes that Ukraine could achieve
5:49
victory through military means,
at this point, it is important
5:54
to mention that at this time,
any calls for peace negotiations
5:59
in Ukraine are punishable by
law, peace. Patients with Russia
6:03
are bound by law, a decree
signed by Zielinski.
6:08
Do you know that? No,
6:09
Adam Curry: of course not.
6:11
John C Dvorak: Well, you know,
listen, canceled elections, he
6:14
bands, the church. That's what
democracy looks like. And now
6:19
and there's this little element,
I can't find a reference to it.
6:23
I can't say that I tried too
hard, whose
6:26
Adam Curry: news reporting is
this is and this is RT Oh, okay.
6:29
John C Dvorak: Well, so they're
gonna be slanted. But yes. But
6:32
generally speaking with stuff
like this, they don't they make
6:35
their factcheck. He's not bad.
So I have to assume that's true.
6:41
Which would account for the lack
of protests and people saying,
6:45
oh, no, no, no
6:46
Adam Curry: kidding.
6:47
John C Dvorak: There's like,
been no protests in Ukraine. So
6:51
that's interesting, fishy in and
of itself, because there's tons
6:53
of protests in Tel Aviv,
6:57
Adam Curry: though Yeah, we got
some of that later, for sure. Is
7:00
John C Dvorak: a bunch of
protesting going on in Tel Aviv.
7:02
But yet,
7:04
Adam Curry: even here last
month, I want to hear this. Last
7:07
month, Ukraine passed a law
prohibiting peace negotiations
7:11
with Russia. It's not exactly
the same thing.
7:15
John C Dvorak: Also, maybe in
that law that you can't talk
7:18
about it.
7:21
Adam Curry: Well, that's part
good, because I got some don't
7:23
talk about it stuff coming up
after your series here. This is
7:26
good.
7:26
Unknown: Alright, well, here we
go. Part three Zelinsky himself.
7:29
Nevertheless, this is a critical
admission, perhaps a turning
7:33
point because many Ukrainians
who have lost relatives who have
7:36
lost loved ones who have been
forced to flee the hundreds of
7:40
1000s of men who are abroad, in
Europe and Russia all over the
7:43
world trying to trying to dodge
the draft and Ukraine, the
7:47
mobilization, they will ask the
question, well, if it was that
7:53
simple, was it worth it? Was it
worth it continuing with a wall
7:56
condemning hundreds of 1000s to
death when all that Zelinsky had
8:01
to do was sign a peace agreement
guaranteeing neutrality?
8:09
John C Dvorak: So now it now the
conversation drifts over to
8:13
something, another little
factoid I was unaware of. And
8:17
I'll explain because it's not
really explained in this clip
8:19
and go to clip four where they
bring on one of their new
8:23
analysts, Tara Reid, and
8:28
Adam Curry: Terry, she went from
accuser of Joe Biden of sexual
8:33
assault, to podcaster to
podcaster, in Russia, to now RT
8:40
correspondent,
8:41
John C Dvorak: here we go. And
8:42
Unknown: earlier, my colleague,
Mr. Shea spoke with the former
8:45
US senate staff member, Tara
Reid, on the choices that
8:49
Ukraine has had to make
8:51
the chain of events was this
they they went to Turkey, right
8:54
to negotiate this pig peace
agreement towards the end of
8:58
March. And then in April, Boris
Johnson trotted down to Kyiv and
9:02
put a stop to it and said,
You're absolutely not going to
9:04
do this for two reasons. He gave
two reasons. His reasons were,
9:07
the West doesn't want this war
to end. And you can't back down
9:11
to Vladimir Putin. That was his
his position. And key is, of
9:16
course, being you know, the
vassals that they are for the
9:19
United States in this proxy war,
NATO is fighting against Russia
9:22
via Ukraine, capitulated and,
and said, okay, the war
9:27
continues. Now you've lost a
generation of Ukrainian men as a
9:31
result of a piece that could
have been achieved. Now this
9:34
will came out in even Ukrainian
press in the summer. And in May
9:38
in July, you saw some
independent journalists covering
9:41
that Boris Johnson put a stop to
this, but it didn't get any lift
9:45
in some of the major Oh,
9:46
shock. Horror. Yeah, you're
telling me the mainstream media
9:49
wouldn't report this. Right. But
honestly, though, right. I mean,
9:52
look, Boris Johnson. He goes to
Kyiv he scuppers these talks. He
9:56
scuttled the talks. This could
have saved the lives of hundreds
9:59
of past 1000s of people, Tara,
why do you think why do you
10:03
think? Because for such a long
time now we've heard the Western
10:06
political and media landscape
saying Russia doesn't want to
10:10
talk peace, Russia won't
negotiate. And yet, if you look
10:13
at it now, it seems that what
Zelinsky adviser was saying
10:17
right now flies right in the
face of that narrative that
10:19
Russia was actually willing to
sit at the peace table, but the
10:24
UK Boris Johnson, they scuttled
the talks.
10:27
Adam Curry: Now, just so I
understand. When Russia was
10:31
ready to talk, they were saying,
well just keep status because
10:36
had they not already taken that
territory? Or were they going to
10:40
just let it be wherever it was?
I think they were gonna just let
10:44
it be. And it was just going to
be Hey, as long as you promise
10:48
not to but why would Russia even
take those terms? They know that
10:52
we're not good for it. Yeah,
come on, based
10:57
John C Dvorak: on James Baker
years ago were our top guy
11:01
telling Russia Hey, don't worry
about we're never going to move
11:04
our NATO period further east
11:06
Adam Curry: a man doing Hey,
man, we didn't put it in
11:08
writing. Okay. If it's not in
writing doesn't count sees.
11:14
John C Dvorak: So yeah, that's
not fully explained. But it but
11:17
the terror read thing is
interesting. And I'll tell you
11:19
why. Which is something I didn't
know. She defected. She's now a
11:24
Russian. Yes.
11:25
Adam Curry: She and you know,
who brought her there? Is the
11:28
redhead. The
11:29
John C Dvorak: redhead, right.
The red head dude. Yeah, the
11:33
original
11:33
Adam Curry: red head, but the
one that was integrated within
11:36
the Republican Party, Patrick
Byrne, he was his girlfriend for
11:40
a while. Yeah, the Overstock
guy. That's, that's
11:46
John C Dvorak: I mean, he's
great.
11:49
Adam Curry: Theory carry this so
much going on.
11:52
John C Dvorak: A credible
accusation against Biden being a
11:55
creep. Gee, we never noticed
that before. And she gets
11:59
rebuked by the Republicans, or
by I'm sorry, by the Democrats.
12:03
And I guess she gets so many
threats. And she gives up on the
12:07
idea of actually, you know,
becoming, you know, a
12:10
whistleblower about Biden being
a creep. And she ends up going
12:16
defecting to Russia,
12:18
Adam Curry: just so you
understand. She went to Russia
12:20
to speak, she was invited to
speak. And then she got word
12:24
from and she was cagey about it.
Because I heard a whole
12:26
interview with her. I think it
was actually Megyn Kelly
12:28
interviewed her of all people.
And she's and she said, Yeah,
12:33
I'm getting worried that if I go
back to America, I will be
12:36
arrested immediately. So that's
why she stayed. And that's and
12:39
that's when she was, you know,
like Snowden was given a Russian
12:42
passport.
12:44
John C Dvorak: But she was
definitely cajoled and good. But
12:49
to me, the irony is that she
starts off you know, turret,
12:53
calling out Biden for being a
masher. And so she She's like
12:58
the woman score, and she goes to
Russia now all she does is do
13:02
reports on RT about what a
jackass Biden is. This is kind
13:08
of the key to these these
things. And she's just like, a
13:12
nightmare.
13:14
Adam Curry: It's pretty
interesting, though, that she's
13:17
only
13:17
John C Dvorak: uncovered by the
fire press.
13:19
Adam Curry: Hello.
13:22
John C Dvorak: It's like nobody
knows any of this. You know
13:25
Adam Curry: that? She's
disinformation.
13:28
John C Dvorak: Yeah. So wow,
that's good. So this is all
13:32
unraveling. So I think they have
to have to pull a plug in
13:36
Adam Curry: a second. So do you
think they have to pull the plug
13:39
because of this? Or because it's
just hopeless. And, and no one
13:44
and the European countries, the
American people, no one wants to
13:48
support this anymore? I mean, it
can't just be because it's
13:51
unraveling, because now we're
finding out that Boris Johnson
13:54
went there to stop the peace
deal. No, I
13:57
John C Dvorak: think this is an
element. I think this is the
13:59
straw that broke the camel's
back. There's still the money
14:02
laundering issues. There's the
corruption issues. There's all
14:05
this stuff going on. And this
coming out making it true,
14:10
because we're whining and
moaning and groaning about one
14:12
thing or another. And now it
turns out this could have been
14:14
piece a year ago would have
saved American taxpayers
14:19
billions.
14:20
Adam Curry: And you've you've
got mainstream comedians making
14:23
jokes now on Netflix about
Hunter Biden's corrupt Ukraine
14:28
deals, it's, it's so common
knowledge now, no one believes
14:32
any of it anymore. What's the
credit and you know, the whole
14:36
reasons for is just not
credible. The
14:38
John C Dvorak: credibility issue
with the mainstream media is at
14:42
an all time low. And I was one
of the reports I was listening
14:45
to something in our clips, it'll
be at the end of the show, where
14:49
their CDC is moaning about 15%
uptake and in COVID vaccine
14:56
boosters 15% of American public
is saying A
15:00
Adam Curry: more than I lose
more than I expected, honestly.
15:03
John C Dvorak: Well, that's
about what I expected. Actually,
15:06
I expect a little more than 15.
But the point is, is that the
15:10
word has gotten out. And it's in
contradiction to the what the
15:14
mainstream media is saying, take
your shot, even
15:17
Adam Curry: masking it. I mean,
six months ago, everyone agreed,
15:21
yeah, mas no work. And let's
just back to telling you to mask
15:24
off. Okay.
15:28
John C Dvorak: But 50% of the
time feel sorry for those 50% of
15:32
people that just believe
everything. So let's go with
15:34
that, I think right clip for no
15:37
Adam Curry: one clicked five,
15:39
Unknown: five, as a matter of
fact, in June of this last year,
15:43
Vladimir Putin, President Putin
had showed the actual document
15:47
of how Russia was withdrawing
troops from Kyiv and trying to,
15:51
uh, you know, meet with this
accord, this peace accord that
15:54
they had made, they asked for
two things, they wanted
15:56
neutrality from Ukraine. Same
thing they asked from Finland,
16:00
right, they wanted neutrality.
And they wanted not to join
16:03
NATO. And these were the two
demands. And of course, we all
16:06
know what happened. Everything
did not unfold that way, and
16:09
Boris Johnson intervene. Now,
Boris Johnson was acting on the
16:11
behalf of the US, as well as the
UK. And this has to do with
16:17
money. This has to do with
profits. Here we go. Western
16:21
military industrial machine, you
had these weapons manufacturers
16:25
that have made almost a trillion
dollars since the conflict has
16:29
begun believable. In fact, there
was a noose with Western
16:35
manufacturers, weapons
manufacturers, Lockheed Martin,
16:38
and so on talking about the
profits that they've made. So
16:42
it's just been really horrible.
We
16:44
look they just sent the Defense
Secretary Lloyd Austin to Kyiv,
16:46
a few days ago, the former UK pm
Cameron was there as well. He's
16:50
going to be some sort of peace
envoy, whatever, right. But
16:52
Austin was there and I was
thinking, you know, what, why
16:54
did they send America's biggest
defense secretary there? Why?
16:57
Because I think they sent him
there to tell Zelensky Look,
17:00
here's more money, but you know
what? It's over. Because here's
17:03
what we can see. And Tara, in
the Western media and the
17:05
political landscape, they keep
talking about this stalemate in
17:08
Ukraine. Oh, it's a stalemate.
It's not going anywhere.
17:11
Nobody's wonder But look, it's
it's over. You know, it's
17:15
Adam Curry: almost, it's almost
like I would, I would prefer to
17:19
be corruption of the Biden crime
family than the military
17:24
industrial complex, if it's
really truly is just because of
17:28
the military industrial complex,
who wanted the trillion dollars
17:32
after we pulled out of
Afghanistan? That's really sad.
17:37
If the same guys who net was it
now? 3.8 trillion they can't
17:40
locate? I don't know. I don't. I
don't know why I had an issue
17:45
somewhere. I
17:46
John C Dvorak: just can't
understand why they can't audit
17:49
the Pentagon. It just makes no
sense at this because
17:51
Adam Curry: they're afraid
because everybody's on the TV,
17:55
shop
17:55
John C Dvorak: it into pieces
and audit it can't do we have
17:59
plenty of accountants looking
for work? Everybody's
18:01
Adam Curry: on the take? Or
they're blackmailed in some
18:04
other nefarious way? Don't you
think?
18:09
John C Dvorak: There's gotta be
some reason? Well, I think
18:11
there's a less clear,
18:13
Unknown: Ukraine has lost
there's no stalemate anywhere
18:16
across the board. Yeah, the West
has not supplying the shelves
18:20
anymore. They haven't got the
weapons to send any more. They
18:22
don't have the money to send any
more Meantime, Russia continues
18:25
to make progress stalemate.
There is no stalemate. Hello,
18:29
Western press. If you're
listening, there is no stale
18:32
mate. How is this going to wrap
up? How much longer that we've
18:34
got Biden, we've got the
presidential election next year,
18:37
that of course, the political
establishment wants to maintain
18:40
the image that Ukraine is
winning, that they will win that
18:43
Russia will lose? How are we
going to get around this for
18:47
just in time for the election?
Do you think? Well,
18:49
I think the Hawks are going to
try to keep keep it going just a
18:51
little bit longer, because
that's the military. You know,
18:54
that's where they make their
money. But bear in mind, too,
18:56
there's the money laundering
issue, right? That's all coming
18:58
to light and Congress, all of
the things that were happening
19:02
with with Ukraine and the money
laundering that has to do with
19:05
the politicians that are
involved. And so they're trying
19:07
to do duck and cover and people
are, are kind of taking each
19:11
other out. So it's gonna be
really interesting to see how
19:13
the movement towards the
negotiations towards peace goes.
19:16
But right now, Russia is in a
position where they don't have
19:19
to negotiate. They've been doing
ossifying moving steadily, as
19:21
you said. And the tragedy is
that a generation of Ukrainian
19:26
men are dead.
19:28
Adam Curry: Okay, I gotta say,
Tara Reid talks a good game.
19:31
She's not bad. She
19:33
John C Dvorak: sounds like a
like a pro.
19:34
Adam Curry: Like a Pro. Yeah, I
didn't. I didn't realize she
19:37
didn't I mean, she'd be doing
those podcasts. You know that
19:39
that warms her up?
19:40
John C Dvorak: Well, she do
podcasts, it'll make you a pro.
19:43
Okay,
19:44
Adam Curry: now there's a
classic bumper sticker.
19:47
Podcasting will make you a pro.
I think CNN is already starting
19:52
to move the conversation about
Ukraine how Ukraine will win.
19:59
It's no It's no longer about the
big money. Remember Zelinsky
20:04
just give me credit, man. Just
give me credit for the billions
20:07
of credit. give me credit. No
and give me your credit. You got
20:10
100 million here Shut up. No, I
think they're moving towards the
20:14
Eric Schmidt solution
20:15
Unknown: that elsewhere tonight
in Ukraine there is no end in
20:18
sight to the fighting this week
and irritated Russian President
20:22
President Putin rejected the
obvious that Russia is pursuing
20:25
a brutal war of aggression in
Ukraine student has been
20:29
tracking stories of sacrifice
that are happening there and
20:32
Anna Coren reports on the
ordinary men and women who are
20:35
now teaming up with drone
operators to fight back for
20:38
their country.
20:39
Adam Curry: Here you go drone
operators
20:41
Unknown: on the outskirts of
Kea. The soldier puts on a pair
20:44
of goggles to open TX. She's
part of a unit testing the
20:50
latest batch of drones have just
arrived. Some work? Some don't.
20:59
So this is the place to find out
before they're delivered to
21:03
Ukrainian troops on the eastern
and southern France. Some of
21:07
these drones are from civilians
produced in homes on kitchen
21:10
tables. They can be used for
reconnaissance or assault
21:13
mission. I right
21:15
Adam Curry: there. I'm already
really skeptical, though. Okay,
21:18
so now civilians are at home at
kitchen tables making drones
21:21
that can carry payloads that can
blow stuff up.
21:25
John C Dvorak: Now this Yes, I
thought I heard this story too.
21:28
And I find it very it's like I
didn't even I didn't clip
21:31
anything about it because it
just seemed ludicrous. Well,
21:34
here's this is like the Chinese
back in the 50s or 60s Having
21:38
steel mills in everyone's
backyard.
21:41
Adam Curry: Well, they did have
smelters, and smelters, they had
21:44
a pot
21:45
John C Dvorak: of molten stuff
that was useless. This is the
21:49
same thing. This is useless.
This is
21:51
Unknown: a grassroots movement.
Ocasio Bucha. In the Rachel
21:53
Maddow grassroots army of
civilians are heeding the call,
21:56
including Vera and Alexander,
encouraging others to do the
22:00
same. Their operation has taken
over their one bedroom
22:04
apartment. He makes drone parts
with these 3d printer. Oh, yeah.
22:08
Yes, camouflage.
22:11
Adam Curry: 3d printer making
drone parts. They
22:14
Unknown: work acknowledged by
grateful troops in back mod who
22:17
sent them Ukraine's Coat of Arms
made of bullets. The British
22:21
also question one person instead
of getting married and having a
22:24
wedding, we spend that money to
start making drones. Now we are
22:28
happy without gold rings. But
with the drones, the
22:31
drone companies like victory
drones training to help build
22:35
these little birds.
22:36
Adam Curry: And that makes
sense. Now with 100 million,
22:39
that's the kind of money that
Silicon Valley would want.
22:41
That's what Eric Schmidt, who
called for drone warfare for
22:45
creating Ukraine's drone
building capability musei
22:49
drones, it's small drones. This
small Yeah, this is probably
22:53
what the money
22:54
John C Dvorak: is bigger than a
quadcopter but smaller than a
22:56
predator. Much
22:58
Adam Curry: smaller than a
predator here. Here's the lancy.
23:01
Go build some drones to then
distribute
23:04
Unknown: to the military.
23:05
If you attach the payload to the
bottom, if you attach the
23:12
battery on top, you have a
perfect shell, which is a guided
23:17
missile.
23:18
Volunteer and soldier Gennady
says to compete with Russia's
23:21
industrial output, Ukraine must
innovate while there will be no
23:25
future. He's already lost his
best friend seen here in this
23:31
video singing lullabies to their
children. He knows too well the
23:37
painful price of this.
23:39
When I'm saying innovator die, I
see eyes of people from my unit.
23:44
I lost already. And obviously we
have to win this war because
23:50
otherwise the the sacrifice was
fruitless. There you go. Even
23:57
the next generation is getting
involved. The military has begun
24:03
training school kids, some as
young as first graders.
24:08
My name is Sofia, I'm six years
old. I like flying drones and
24:13
protecting the country.
24:17
And there are even plans to make
this part of the nation's
24:20
education system. There you go.
Anna Coren,
24:24
Adam Curry: CNN. This is This is
disgusting. Your Tara Reed was
24:32
right. A generation of men
slaughtered for no reason other
24:38
than for the military industrial
complex. With a with with old
24:43
crap we sent him so we could
enrich our own companies here
24:48
and in Europe, and the money
stopped flowing. A while ago, we
24:52
had the clips of the European
Union defense honcho, saying
24:57
hey, you know, if we don't get
any orders, we're not I'm going
25:00
to build so until you get an
order. It's gonna take a while,
25:02
but it'll take a year, because
there's no orders. The money's
25:06
done it stopped. Yeah, it
25:07
John C Dvorak: has to be done.
25:07
Adam Curry: So now and now
they're indoctrinating six year
25:12
olds to fly drones for your for
your country. Yeah, it's this
25:19
whole is evil. The whole system
is evil. It's pretty bad. Can't
25:23
think of any other terms. Just
your
25:27
John C Dvorak: evil. Yeah. Okay.
And then nobody seems to think
25:30
this is sick. When you lose
this, and these reports are
25:33
Adam Curry: heartbreaking. It's
heartbreaking. Yeah.
25:37
John C Dvorak: I must be dealing
with this. No. By the way, I
25:40
thought all the kids were
rousted from Ukraine and sent
25:43
the bowl and taken to Russia.
And every question between now
25:47
Adam Curry: here we go. So now
we get to the disinformation and
25:50
there's something going on right
now. There's a push and it's
25:53
global. It's United Nations
related. And this a couple of
25:57
things just kept on coming
through, kept coming through.
26:00
I'm like, hold on a second. What
is happening here and I
26:04
discovered something that fits
right in with the canary in the
26:09
coal mine was the Westminster
declaration. Remember the
26:15
Westminster declaration Laya
which is a bunch of a bunch of
26:20
bloggers and podcasters all?
Well, meaning I'm sure Mata eby
26:28
Glenn Greenwald.
26:30
John C Dvorak: Yeah, that's of
course they're well meaning and
26:33
no, oh,
26:33
Adam Curry: no, we article 19.
Article 19 is all about article
26:37
19. of the universal human
rights declaration. I'll get to
26:42
that in a minute. But first,
let's see. This came out over a
26:46
week ago, and this was yet
another kind of red flags saying
26:50
something is coming. Because of
course Kathy Hall Cole, the
26:54
unelected governor of New York
is going to be in on the elitist
26:57
messaging.
26:59
Unknown: Today I'm directing the
director of Division of Homeland
27:02
Security and Emergency Services
to develop media literacy tools
27:07
for K through 12. In our public
schools, this will teach
27:12
students and even teachers to
help understand how to spot
27:16
conspiracy theories and
misinformation disinformation
27:20
and online hate. Start talking
about what we're seeing out
27:24
there. Give the teachers the
tools they need to help these
27:29
conversations in school. And by
teaching younger New Yorkers
27:34
about how to discern between
digital fact and fiction, we can
27:39
better inoculate them inoculate
from hatred and the spread of
27:43
it. And to prepare them for a
very fast moving and often
27:47
confusing world. We
27:49
Adam Curry: identified this
stuff year like a decade ago,
27:53
when the bullying laws when
bullying in school became
27:56
bullying laws and was all hate
speech and hate laws. And very
28:01
ill defined what is hate. What
is hate speech. And of course
28:06
this is now rearing its ugly
head in Europe with the
28:11
parliamentary well, with the win
of with the majority win of
28:17
seats in the House of Parliament
in the Netherlands here at
28:20
builders not enough to to govern
he needs a coalition. And of
28:26
course no one wants to go along
with the hate speech guy.
28:29
Unknown: Hello and welcome to
Talking Europe. It's an election
28:32
result that has sent shockwaves
across the EU. Dictation
28:37
dictations. The Dutch far right
Freedom Party has won 37 seats
28:41
well ahead of its rivals. It's
led by a man who has long been
28:45
the best noir of European
liberals and Muslims bet
28:48
wielders,
28:49
Adam Curry: the bet Noir. Is
that the black sheep the bet bet
28:54
and why isn't a black sheep is
that French fur? That's why it
28:58
John C Dvorak: has a very
specific we should look it up so
29:01
we can read it. Yes, it has a
very specific meaning in a
29:03
political sense. Yeah. Why don't
29:05
Adam Curry: you look that up or
we listened to Labette Anwar
29:07
Muslims
29:08
Unknown: have wilderness
advocates. The de Islamization
29:12
of the Netherlands, as well as
zero asylum seekers and tougher
29:16
border management. Well,
migration and asylum is one of
29:19
the key policy areas of my guest
today. Margarita Skinner's is
29:24
the Vice President of the
European Commission, and he's
29:27
coordinating the commission's
work on a new pact on migration
29:31
and asylum.
29:32
Adam Curry: So these are the
intro here is not far from the
29:34
truth he had fielder's has said
look up no more asylum seekers.
29:38
We're a small country. No more
Islamification make sense oh no
29:43
more Islamification of the
country, which is very specific
29:47
to the Netherlands. As you know,
statues have had to go street
29:52
signs have had to go all these
things, the culture of the loved
29:56
ones has all changed. You know,
29:58
John C Dvorak: those that do are
mica
30:00
Adam Curry: I'll bet Anwar tell
us
30:01
John C Dvorak: no Rs a person a
did a simple definition, a
30:04
person or thing. That one
particularly dislike su
30:09
dislikes. Yes.
30:11
Adam Curry: So the intro guy
here, I think it's France 24 is
30:15
being reasonably true, because
there has been no at all and the
30:20
end I guess the big problem for
the EU guy who's about to speak
30:23
as guest is kidville. There's a
saying we should have a binding
30:27
referendum always a problem.
Now, having phony baloney voting
30:31
is one thing but now we are
binding referendum a whether the
30:34
Netherlands should exit the EU a
so called negs it. That's really
30:39
the problem. But let's see what
the EU immigration officer VP
30:45
doodly doo says,
30:46
Unknown: Is it a setback for the
European way of life? Well,
30:51
this remains to be seen. 25% of
Dutch voters voted for good
30:58
builders, but 75% didn't.
31:02
Adam Curry: This is my favorite.
There's 17 or 18 parties,
31:06
there's the animal party. You
can't just say they didn't vote
31:10
for him as if well that, you
know, he's kind of insinuating
31:13
they didn't
31:14
John C Dvorak: like what he had
to say they makes it sound like
31:16
a binary.
31:17
Adam Curry: Exactly. It's not
thank you. It's not binary
31:20
people voted for the 50 pluses
for the 50 Plus party which got
31:24
zero seats in the house, not
thanks.
31:27
Unknown: So when the government
will be formed, the first thing
31:31
that would be quite interesting
to see is whether all this hate
31:36
rhetoric that out there it is
shaped his campaign to
31:40
Adam Curry: hate rhetoric that
shaped his campaign that is
31:43
patently not true,
31:45
Unknown: will be translated into
a government program that we
31:50
don't know yet. So I would very
much like to give the next
31:55
government a chance to see
whether their government program
32:01
will reflect this hate speech
that we have been hearing during
32:06
the campaign. In any case, the
European model of society is
32:11
fully incompatible with any form
of discrimination or hate
32:16
Phoebe's hating
32:17
Adam Curry: something so yeah,
wow,
32:18
John C Dvorak: this guy was just
a that's a biased report I've
32:21
ever heard one. I have some
clips on this.
32:23
Adam Curry: But do you want
okay, but but let me come back
32:27
to my my hate speech because I'm
on a roll here.
32:30
John C Dvorak: Okay, finish.
32:31
Adam Curry: But what do you
have? Maybe it fits in? What
32:33
John C Dvorak: do you notice
about the right wingers taking
32:35
over the world? Oh, no, no, no,
no, we'll get back to that
32:38
specifically Holland.
32:40
Adam Curry: We'll get back to
that. It'll make sense. Because
32:45
because I want to get back to
the Westminster declaration
32:48
article 19. So taking place
right now, in Turkey, a turkey,
32:54
turkey, turkey. Yay, is the what
do they call on this thing? The
33:00
STRATCOM Summit.
33:02
Unknown: In times of war and
crisis disinformation can be
33:05
used as a powerful weapon to
spread lies to the masses. In an
33:09
instance, in this certainties,
humanitarian and environmental
33:13
crises and regional instability,
truth based transparent media
33:17
has never been more important
truth
33:19
Adam Curry: based transparent
media. Remember that? Remember
33:23
that line? Good. Remember that
33:25
Unknown: line addressing this
prominent leaders and experts
33:27
from around the world are
gathered here in Istanbul for
33:30
the international communications
strategic summit STRATCOM. The
33:34
goal of the summit is to create
a clean communication ecosystem
33:38
and the fight against
disinformation. With the rise of
33:41
new technologies like did
33:42
Adam Curry: you call a clean?
I'm gonna hear that again.
33:45
Unknown: The goal of the summit
is to create a clean
33:48
communication ecosystem, a clean
communication
33:51
John C Dvorak: communication
ecosystem. So these guys are
33:53
just full of themselves. Oh,
totally. Well, this is the
33:56
meridian phrases that sound kind
of cool.
33:59
Adam Curry: This is the money.
This is the money train and
34:01
Unknown: the fight against this
information. With the rise of
34:03
new technologies like AI. This
battle is getting even more
34:07
challenging. The annual summit
is organized by the Republic of
34:11
Turkey as Director of
Communications and is taking
34:13
place over two days. This year's
theme is global response to
34:17
hybrid threats, stability,
security, and solidarity. And
34:20
the solidarity is evident here
with over 1000 participants, 60
34:24
speakers from nearly 30
countries and 100 officials from
34:28
over 40 countries when
34:29
when you're talking about people
up to no good they're playing on
34:33
the fact that emotionally people
get manipulated a lot. You have
34:38
to be critical consumers of
information. Just as we read
34:42
labels in the grocery store.
We're looking at the
34:45
carbohydrates, gluten free.
We're not doing that enough
34:50
online or the way we consume
information.
34:53
But the battle against
disinformation doesn't end here.
34:56
We each have a role to play as
we consume and share media will
34:59
be Except it all his facts are
what we think critically about
35:02
it.
35:03
Adam Curry: So you're right what
that lady just said one of the
35:05
attendees, that is what
newsguard does is putting a
35:08
label, an ingredient that I hear
all day long from the podcast
35:12
industrial complex. Well, yes,
we need labels on podcast so you
35:16
know what you're getting if you
want to advertise on it, or you
35:18
know what you're getting if you
are going to listen to it,
35:21
because yes, this podcast
contains elements of Hitler,
35:25
John C Dvorak: or what loves
Hitler,
35:27
Adam Curry: stuff like that. So
what comes out is this this
35:32
article from reclaim the net,
and it's actually it's a big
35:35
kind of red herring. The
headline is World Economic Forum
35:39
backs UNESCO's push to regulate
speech on social media pushes
35:44
its own toolkit, digital safety,
which will tackle hate speech
35:49
and cyber bullying. So the point
of this is to go and you know,
35:53
look at
35:53
John C Dvorak: it as like a
panic to me, if I've ever heard
35:56
anything that sounds
desperation. Everything you're
35:59
playing right now is it?
36:02
Adam Curry: Well, it's a
distraction from what's really
36:04
happening. So reclaimed, the net
is pointing you to go look at
36:08
the World Economic Forum, those
douchebags they want to sense a
36:12
speech on the air on social
media. And by the way, before we
36:17
even dive into this, these two
documents BJU said one or two
36:22
shows ago, this is the golden
age of the internet, golden age
36:25
of podcasting. Because it's all
going to end all anything that
36:31
you get from a platform is going
to end. And podcasting 2.0 Of
36:38
course, will not. And if you
still publish a blog with an RSS
36:42
feed, you'll be okay. But
platforms are going away. And
36:45
here's why. So once you dig into
this world economic forum
36:49
article with their toolkit,
there's a little document from
36:55
UNESCO. Now, for people who
don't know what UNESCO is. You
37:00
get the the exact acronym,
United Nations Educational,
37:06
Scientific and Cultural
Organization usually only hear
37:10
about UNESCO and as it pertains
to historical sites. Yeah, it's
37:16
a UNESCO World sanctioned site.
But UNESCO is about education
37:22
and scientific. So they come up
with this document guidelines
37:26
for the governance of digital
platforms, safeguarding freedom
37:30
of expression, and access to
information through a multi
37:34
stakeholder approach. Remember,
United Nations is built of
37:38
member states and stakeholders,
the United States being one of
37:42
them. So they have guidelines
for an Internet of trust. What
37:46
did we hear earlier was her
trust trustworthy media. I
37:50
forget what that what
37:51
John C Dvorak: that was. I'll
tell you what it was true. It
37:53
was truth based transparent
media.
37:59
Adam Curry: I have a couple
things highlighted safeguarding
38:01
freedom of expression and the
right to information while
38:05
dealing with dis admits
information. Remember, this is
38:09
all coming from the Julie
Andrews of the Ministry of
38:12
Truth. Remember, the singing
lady who was dismissed, was
38:15
working for Homeland Security.
She got kicked out because this
38:19
is all her terms. DISA
misinformation, okay. Dealing
38:24
with DISA misinformation, hate
speech, and conspiracy theories.
38:31
So you can't have conspiracy
theories now requires a multi
38:35
stakeholder approach. Okay, so
yeah, they're like, alright,
38:39
this is nothing new then they
have guidelines for the
38:41
governance of digital platforms.
So I'm gonna scroll down here.
38:48
There's a couple things I
highlighted which led me to the
38:51
the key document as virtual
spaces for social interact. This
38:55
is a 56 page document by the
way, as virtual spaces spaces
38:59
for social interaction. They
digital platforms are beholden
39:03
to algorithms designed to
monopolize our attention,
39:07
inadvertently favoring
misinformation and hate speech
39:10
by prioritizing prioritizing
clicks over certainty,
39:14
probability and proof. Faced
with the global nature of these
39:18
issues, we need to develop
consistent responses around the
39:21
world and avoid the
fragmentation of regulations or
39:24
approaches that compromise human
rights. It is precisely the
39:29
global challenge to which UNESCO
must rise for it is at the core
39:33
of our mandate. And here it is,
let us remain focused on our
39:38
goal, combating hate speech and
misinformation while preserving
39:43
freedom of expression. This is
this is not a contradiction, by
39:49
both know what
39:52
John C Dvorak: sounds like one
to me by
39:55
Adam Curry: by bolstering access
to free and fair reliable
40:00
information. We also enhance
freedom of thought and
40:04
expression. Listen to this, by
bolstering so by making more
40:10
access to free and reliable
information more, more
40:14
voluminous with that we actually
enhance freedom of thought and
40:17
expression. As long as it's the
reliable information. In the
40:21
words of Hannah aren't who was
Hannah. Alright, I should have
40:24
looked her up. All right,
40:26
John C Dvorak: Aaron Penner who
was very famous, I believe she
40:29
was a sociologist or an
anthropologist or something
40:32
along those lines, but she was,
she's a writer, and kind of,
40:37
Adam Curry: I love you for
knowing I let him
40:41
John C Dvorak: know I don't
remember too much about it.
40:43
Adam Curry: In the words of Hana
aren't freedom of opinion is a
40:46
farce, unless factual
information is guaranteed. And
40:51
the facts themselves are not in
dispute. Dude, you grew up on
40:55
that stuff? Yeah.
40:57
John C Dvorak: Oh, it'd be like
Cal Berkeley. And Aaron was a
40:59
German born American historian
and philosopher. She was one of
41:03
the most influential political
theorists of the 20th century,
41:07
of course, I'd read her.
41:10
Adam Curry: So here comes here
comes the thing that led me
41:12
right to the money shot. So now
they get into some of the, you
41:16
know, this, a lot of words, a
lot of references. And remember,
41:20
we're going back to the
Westminster declaration by some
41:24
of the prominent podcasters and
bloggers in America saying, you
41:28
know, these online, the online
platform shouldn't be censoring.
41:32
Often, we're doing reporting,
and it's article 19 of the human
41:36
rights. The guideline, here it
is point three, the guidelines
41:41
recognize the guidelines for
platforms, that the application
41:45
of rules and regulations in
every governance system must
41:49
adhere to international human
rights standards, including with
41:54
article 19, of the International
Covenant on Civil and Political
41:59
Rights. Whoa, I read that
article 19. And I thought it was
42:04
of the Human Rights declaration,
but there's a different article
42:08
19 Coincidentally, and that is
article 19, of the International
42:13
Covenant on Civil and Political
Rights. I'll get to that in a
42:18
moment, which provides that any
restriction to fit freedom of
42:21
expression must be provided by
law, again, any restriction to
42:27
freedom of expression must be
provided by law. pursue a
42:32
legitimate aim a set
42:34
John C Dvorak: Oh, wait, wait.
It's a convoluted sentence. What
42:38
Adam Curry: they're saying is if
so you have if you want to
42:40
restrict freedom of expression,
they don't say free freedom of
42:44
speech, they say freedom of
expression, you can as long as
42:47
it's provided by law,
42:49
John C Dvorak: God says hence,
the Lansky putting the lid on
42:53
anybody using the word peace
negotiations Exactly.
42:58
Adam Curry: Which provides that
any restriction to freedom of
43:00
expression must be provided by
law, pursue a legitimate aim as
43:05
set out in the provision that
must be necessary and
43:08
proportionate. Okay, so then I
go to article 19, of the
43:15
International Covenant on Civil
and Political Rights, the ICCPR.
43:21
This is a 20 page document. And
it is best practices and lessons
43:30
learned on how protecting and
promoting human rights
43:33
contribute to preventing and
countering violent extremism. So
43:38
this is how they lay out how
free expression is protected
43:43
unless we make a law against
something which just which we
43:47
all agree just can't can't
happen. The submission focuses
43:52
on the compliance of initiatives
and programs aimed at preventing
43:56
or countering violent extremism,
with international freedom of
44:03
expression standards, in the
annexes to the submission, which
44:07
includes further materials
issued by Article Nine. So this
44:10
is all in the in the fine print
of your human rights
44:15
declaration. The right to
freedom of expression is
44:18
protected by article 19 of the
Universal Declaration of Human
44:21
Rights which is elaborated upon
and given legal force in article
44:25
19 of the International Covenant
on Civil and Political Rights.
44:29
That's this document. These
guarantees are replicated in
44:32
many other international human
rights instruments as well as in
44:36
regional counterparts. Though
the right to freedom of
44:39
expression is fundamental. It is
not absolute. It is not
44:45
absolute. Article 19 ICCPR, for
example, places the onus on
44:50
states party to justify any
limitations they place on the
44:55
rights are provided by law,
pursue a legitimate aim and are
44:59
necessary To the legitimate aim
and proportionate? Well, this is
45:03
bull crap, because it boils down
to this activities that aim to
45:07
threaten the enjoyment of human
rights and fundamental freedoms
45:11
and democracy and threatened
territorial integrity and the
45:15
security of states and
destabilized legitimately
45:18
constituted governments. So if
you are, have hate speech
45:23
against the government, they can
shut you down. And they call
45:28
this violent extremism,
extremism, a broader phenomenon
45:33
than terrorism. It captures both
an ideology and conduct presumed
45:39
indicative of a future prospects
propensity to violence. Dude,
45:45
they are shutting it down.
They've had they've had this go
45:50
on for a long time. It's legal.
And thank God literally thank
45:55
God for our Constitution, our
First Amendment, but it's
45:59
totally under attack with
46:00
John C Dvorak: this because
we've been under attack forever.
46:03
But
46:03
Adam Curry: this is a legal
attack and the violent
46:06
extremism. These are the terms
they've been using over and over
46:10
again for years. It's hate
speech.
46:14
John C Dvorak: So to wrap up
what you've just said here, yes.
46:18
The people who signed off on
that West minister, kind of cut
46:23
whatever it is a declaration,
the declaration or do fusses
46:27
either complicit or we're really
not complicit let's let's assume
46:32
that okay. Well, is that they've
basically signed a death
46:37
warrant. Yes. In essence, even
though it's going to mean
46:42
nothing, and it means nothing
goes just a bunch of guys
46:45
signatures, but that's beside
the point be the first go all
46:48
likely they signed their own
death warrant and they don't
46:51
even know it.
46:53
Adam Curry: And if you look at
the UK, who was already way on
46:56
board with this, Canada, well,
I'm going to use the UK for a
47:00
moment because you know, there's
big protests, big Palestine, pro
47:03
Palestine protests going on, all
organized, of course by the
47:07
Labour Party. The Met Police
handed out a leaflet that warned
47:12
against language that breaks the
law. Language. I just want to
47:16
repeat this Americans can't.
Well, a lot of them can but most
47:19
Americans can't even fathom the
sentence. There's language that
47:25
breaks the law.
47:27
John C Dvorak: Yeah, it's like
thought crimes. The leaflets
47:29
Adam Curry: warn protesters not
to use words or images that are
47:33
racist, or incite hatred against
any faith that support Hamas or
47:39
any other band organization as
it is illegal under UK law to
47:43
support such terrorist
organizations. Or here it is,
47:47
that celebrate or promote acts
of terrorism, such as the
47:51
killing or kidnap of innocent
people. In America, you can do
47:56
that. You may be a dick, but you
can do that.
47:59
John C Dvorak: Yeah, I would say
that that church shag the God
48:02
Hates Fags example, and Nazis
48:07
Adam Curry: can can walk around
and do their Heil Hitler stuff
48:10
and walk around with their
little goose stepping. And the
48:13
ACLU used to use the abuse to
protect those to defend them.
48:17
defend them? I guess not. But
that's part of a true open
48:22
society and democracy. It's
closing and quick, but they're
48:25
gonna go after every single
platform. Anything that's a
48:29
platform, anything that you
believe is the internet is going
48:33
to it's going to be under the
it's already really under these
48:35
rules. They're just gonna
formalize it. And they're doing
48:38
it when is it now you got the
money getting everyone sucking
48:40
up the money? They're in Turkey
a with the STRATCOM conference?
48:44
Yeah, we got all kinds of
newsguard we all kinds of
48:47
filters. We got all kinds of
stuff. We can track people down,
48:50
but our hobnail boot on the
neck. This is exactly what is
48:55
happening. So yes, way to go
Westminster boys. Westminster
49:01
declaration boys. Yeah, look
into that. Port on that for a
49:05
second, please.
49:07
John C Dvorak: Yeah, they're too
high. They're actually pretty
49:09
glib about I think Mata
49:11
Adam Curry: EB if he really
looked at it, because he's, he's
49:14
kind of wrapped up and, you
know, the IRS came to his door
49:17
and he got for the first time
he's figured out the government
49:19
hates him, because they hate
everybody. All citizens. He's
49:23
all wrapped up in it. Now and
he's he's no, he's still a baby.
49:29
He's still innocent. Oh, come
on. Let us let us report on
49:33
social media. No, no, you've got
that wrong, Matt. And please get
49:40
off of substack back to blogs.
That's it back to blogs. We got
49:46
to go back to using the network
not the platforms.
49:50
John C Dvorak: Will. Will I
don't know how that relates to
49:53
the right wingers that took over
Europe or taking over Europe.
49:57
Adam Curry: This shutting them
down.
49:59
John C Dvorak: They go Alicia
Gotthard they get I think the
50:02
talk is, it's a big deal to talk
a lot, but it's easy to shut
50:06
down we'll see is a problem.
It's
50:09
Adam Curry: easy to shut down.
People, John, children today
50:13
they think the internet is their
iPhone. Hey, I got Google. I got
50:16
the internet. They got apps.
Apps bill, come on.
50:21
John C Dvorak: People always
thought the web was the Internet
50:23
to if you really want to go
back, yes,
50:25
Adam Curry: it was it still is
that web ever was the web? No.
50:30
But the web is an open
communication hyperlinking
50:34
system that runs on the internet
on top of the internet. Yeah.
50:38
But it's, it's it's one step
closer to. It's not a platform.
50:43
The web is not a platform.
Twitter is a platform. Facebook
50:47
is a platform. Google is a
platform, your iPhone App Store
50:50
is a platform. These are
platforms that they will
50:53
regulate, to the to their own
desire. The web is still the
50:59
last place.
51:02
John C Dvorak: I would say going
back to your initial thesis,
51:05
which you did not bring up in
this presentation, that the
51:09
platforms aren't going to go
away. Because they're going to
51:13
be they're the ones that are
going to co opt Yes. Government
51:18
regulations to benefit them.
51:20
Adam Curry: Yes, yes, I agree.
That's what I'm saying. Of
51:24
course, they're going oh,
51:25
John C Dvorak: man, I'll be
around. They don't know. It'll
51:27
Adam Curry: be around. But it
won't be. It won't be a place to
51:30
get any word out. Because it
will be a clean communications
51:35
ecosystem. Yeah, yes.
51:39
John C Dvorak: Good luck. It's
hard to do. They don't have
51:42
enough. But I
51:43
Adam Curry: can tell you I can
tell you right now. We're not
51:45
We're not on Spotify. We never
were. We're going to get kicked
51:48
off of Apple. It will happen.
This this podcast will not be on
51:53
the Apple podcast app. I can
tell you right now. Because of
51:58
conspiracy theories and possible
hate speech conspiracy
52:01
John C Dvorak: theory, we have
never pushed a conspiracy theory
52:04
on this show.
52:05
Adam Curry: We didn't land on
the moon.
52:08
John C Dvorak: That's you not to
show. That's the net predates
52:11
the show.
52:13
Adam Curry: I got to step up my
game then.
52:18
John C Dvorak: Okay, yeah. So
52:20
Adam Curry: yes, please take it
to the right wingers. I'm sure
52:22
I'm sure we can go back to
52:24
John C Dvorak: the right, wing's
and election. So I went to, of
52:26
all places in T D. Well, of
course, it's your go to, we'd
52:30
love and they had a guy on and I
unfortunately, this is not a
52:33
great interview, because the
connection to the guy's no good.
52:37
I tried running it through
Adobe, one of those situations
52:42
where there's certain things
Adobe can't do and it just makes
52:44
it worse. And this is one of
those things where that
52:48
happened. Oh, goodness. It turns
out I was thinking about this.
52:51
The Adobe product is really only
good for echoey voices in a big
52:54
room, you know, which is
typical. A lot of podcasts. I
52:58
agree. They're using a camera
then you're using the mic on the
53:02
camera that do the
53:04
Adam Curry: audio clears that up
really? Well. It doesn't do very
53:07
well. That's all it does. That's
Yes, I agree. You can now you
53:10
can get a pay for an enhanced
version where you can try it
53:15
better. It's not I kind of give
you a tip. There Yep, yeah, yes.
53:20
There's another website called
vocal remover. I think let me
53:26
just see what it is. What's the
name of it? I'm gonna second
53:28
vocal remover.org And with this
you can split up between music
53:36
is really for songs music and
karaoke. Yeah, but it works very
53:41
well by removing background
noise which it will detect as
53:45
music and I've used that on a
couple in fact the that clip
53:51
from Turkey a I used that on and
it really cleaned it up without
53:54
without messing with the vocal
tract like making an all singing
53:57
and Skippy. Yeah, it's a good
and it's open source. It's a
54:02
value for value. Just tip the
guy literal value
54:04
John C Dvorak: for value is
value. That's it.
54:07
Adam Curry: That's correct value
for value.
54:10
John C Dvorak: All right, let's
go to right wingers in
54:11
elections, one in
54:12
Unknown: addition to New
Zealand, right leaning
54:14
politicians have scored recent
victories in the Netherlands and
54:18
Argentina. Is this a worldwide
trend? We spoke with Daniel la
54:22
Ke, Chief Economist at trusses
to find out more. Daniela Kaye,
54:26
thank you so much for joining
us. Great to have you back on
54:28
the show. Hey, you're actually
currently in the Netherlands as
54:31
who you're joining us from and
that's after an outsider won the
54:35
election there. This follows a
similar one that we just saw in
54:37
Argentina as well. How much did
the current economic factors in
54:42
those currencies play into these
election wins
54:45
quite a bit. Actually. If you
think of what has made such a
54:49
drastic change in the political
landscape and the Netherlands,
54:54
it is because of elevated
inflation, continuous
54:59
intervention. again from the
government affecting the primary
55:03
sector, agriculture, etc. So
basically a drastic reaction
55:09
against the negative
inflationary and economic
55:14
situation, but also the views on
immigration, and the I'm on
55:21
government intervention on
environmental issues. In the
55:24
case of Argentina, it's the
desperate situation of the
55:28
economy in Argentina. It's got
140%, inflation, 40% of poverty.
55:34
And on top of that, in a country
that produces oil and has an
55:38
incredible farming industry,
there's a scarcity of gasoline
55:44
and scarcity of wheat. Yeah,
55:46
Adam Curry: I'm gonna call bull
crap on this guy, because it was
55:48
not because of inflation. The
number one reason was asylum
55:52
seekers has been going on for 20
years. And the fact that they
55:56
don't Argentina, no, in the
Netherlands, Argentina,
55:59
John C Dvorak: Argentina. Oh,
well, he talks about the
56:03
Netherlands a little more
specifically.
56:05
Adam Curry: I know but he said,
Oh, no, it was it was inflation
56:08
cost of living intervention from
the government. And then he
56:11
says, oh, yeah, and some
immigration, no, immigration was
56:15
top of the list. Okay. Was the
two are incomparable is what I'm
56:20
saying?
56:21
John C Dvorak: Okay, it
comparable. So incomparable, I
56:25
think is interesting that he
mentioned, you can't get meat in
56:28
of all places. Origin, which is,
it's a meat eating country as
56:34
Adam Curry: we go to the origins
of, they should just go to the
56:37
Argentinian restaurant there.
That's where they're
56:40
John C Dvorak: all meat, meat,
eating more meat. But there's a
56:45
cut. There's a factor that comes
out in here. That's, that's new
56:48
to me. And some one of our
producers wrote me a note
56:51
telling me about it. But I told
them, we have a clip that's
56:53
going to discuss it. But we're
just, there's two parts that
56:56
have to first part is about
Holland, I
56:58
Unknown: want to get to
Argentina. But sticking with
57:00
another lens. First, Wilder's is
seeking a Dutch Brexit in the
57:04
Netherlands, noting the climate
policies that are really hurting
57:07
the farmers in particular, but
what can one man do? What do we
57:11
expect to see here? Well,
57:13
I think what we can expect at
least is a significant reversal
57:17
of the misguided, so called by
omental policy, because they're
57:22
not environmental
interventionist policy, they
57:25
haven't really improved. In
fact, they have worsened the
57:30
situation for the people in the
Netherlands. So I think, quite a
57:34
big reversal in that front, and
quite a strong reversal as well,
57:39
in both the economic policies
inside the Netherlands, but also
57:45
regarding the European Union,
because the Netherlands is
57:50
suffering, elevated inflation
because of the monetary policy
57:55
of the European Central Bank,
and also a dire economic
58:00
environment when it should not
be in such an in such a
58:03
situation due to the well, many
of the policies that have been
58:09
imported from the European
Union. So all those things can
58:13
be tweaked and at least improved
upon. Again,
58:18
Adam Curry: I'm just surprised
that he doesn't really mention
58:20
immigration. Yeah, he's
58:21
John C Dvorak: went out of his
way not to he's and
58:23
Adam Curry: he's there. He's
there. That's the thing. He's
58:26
there.
58:27
John C Dvorak: Well, let's go on
to the we'll just take that for
58:30
what it is. But let's listen to
what's going on in Argentina.
58:33
Unknown: Speaking of inflation,
you did mention now turning to
58:36
Argentina, the 140% inflation
over there. Now, heavier mele is
58:41
saying he's going to shut down
the central bank calling that
58:44
non negotiable. How much does
the central bank fit into the
58:48
inflation we're seeing?
58:49
Well, certainly the central bank
is one side of the coin. And a
58:53
very important one, obviously
printing. pestles in a in a in a
58:58
way that is completely
incredible. But that's one side
59:02
of the coin. The other side of
the coin is fiscal policy, a
59:06
country that has more
protectionist measures than many
59:09
of the communist regimes that we
know like Cuba or North Korea.
59:15
So it needs to open the economy.
It needs to cut spending, and it
59:19
certainly needs to stop printing
and stop this inflationary
59:24
nightmare. I
59:25
mean, they is an economist and
now he says he does have a plan
59:28
to fight inflation and that's
dollarization. us wanting to
59:31
change the pesos to the US
dollar. How likely is that to
59:35
succeed? Well,
59:37
it's inevitable because one of
the problems in Argentina is
59:40
that many of the politicians did
not want to recognize the big
59:45
elephant in the room, which is
that the pestle is a completely
59:50
invalid currency that has
failed. Argentina has more than
59:54
15 different exchange rates of
the pestle all of them
59:59
completely free. also
implemented by the government.
1:00:02
And the pestle is not used by
citizens in Argentina whenever
1:00:08
they can. So actually
dollarization was already
1:00:11
evident within the Argentine
economy because no Argentine
1:00:15
citizen, I mean, at least no
sane artefact citizen, David
1:00:21
investors. And certainly all of
the relevant transactions and
1:00:27
purchases that a Argentine
citizens implement are already
1:00:32
dollar.
1:00:34
John C Dvorak: I find it
interesting that they're gonna
1:00:36
switch to the US Dollar as their
currency. Well,
1:00:39
Adam Curry: we talked about this
on the last show.
1:00:42
John C Dvorak: But we talked
about it all the time, because
1:00:43
people didn't know it's like,
it's the reserve currency for
1:00:46
the world. But here, but here's
the thing I want to do it
1:00:49
officially is what I think is
it? I don't know. Anyone else
1:00:52
has done it officially.
1:00:54
Adam Curry: Well, it's not
entirely clear because it says
1:00:59
dollarization. So I mean, to
shut down the central bank to
1:01:05
then get the Federal Reserve
central bank. What a difference.
1:01:12
John C Dvorak: Well, won't be
140% inflation. No,
1:01:15
Adam Curry: but it'll okay. You
get my point. I mean,
1:01:19
structurally, it's the base,
same basic idea. But that, I
1:01:23
mean, there's, there's a lot
that has to happen before that
1:01:25
can take place, pegging the
dollar to the peso will be
1:01:28
possible.
1:01:29
John C Dvorak: Well, that's
different than I know.
1:01:32
Adam Curry: I know. It's
different. But we'll we'll get
1:01:34
in Brazil will have let's see
what what he can do. I mean, he
1:01:38
doesn't have majority in
parliament. He's just the Prime
1:01:42
Minister.
1:01:44
John C Dvorak: I mean, there's
the we'll see what he does.
1:01:46
President I sorry, I think is
fascinating that that's what he
1:01:49
wants to do. I mean, they have
pegging the to the dollar is not
1:01:53
new. I mean, I think they may
have been on Argentina years
1:01:56
back, but I know it's been done
in Brazil. But even when they
1:01:59
did it, when they went from the
cruzeiro to the rial, which the
1:02:05
rial, meaning real was pegged
one to one to the dollar. But
1:02:09
now it's like two and a half to
one. I mean, it just doesn't
1:02:12
hold up. Which would be
different than the dollar, which
1:02:15
would hold up. It's
1:02:17
Adam Curry: interesting that
Saudi Arabia and China just
1:02:21
announced a $7 billion local
currency swap line, which is a
1:02:27
good way to peg your, your money
to the one and get it away from
1:02:32
the dollar. It's worth like a
start in a sequence of things,
1:02:38
either. Yeah, go ahead. The
1:02:40
John C Dvorak: problem with the
one in my opinion is that it's
1:02:42
rigged. It's far more than $1
1:02:45
Adam Curry: of course, but hey,
but they just don't want to be
1:02:47
beholden to us anymore. We got
it. We got a new guide, new
1:02:50
boss, same as the old boss. It's
just that tinier? No, no, they
1:02:56
don't go and kill as many people
just their own. Just sticking
1:03:02
with Europe, not reported. Okay.
So what has been reported is we
1:03:09
have lots of immigration clashes
Dublin Ireland, which
1:03:14
immediately was called Oh, the
far right wing nut jobs they
1:03:18
hate. They it was a rumor
started by them and no, it was
1:03:21
not true. But yes, there was
indeed, an immigrant who stabbed
1:03:27
several people including a
children and Dublin it was
1:03:33
called the it was called the
Irish welcome. As the as the
1:03:38
guardian writes, me there's no
more No more Irish welcome. The
1:03:43
Irish are sick of it. The Dutch
are sick of it. Didn't hear
1:03:47
about even Conor McGregor MMA
fighter says, this is a problem,
1:03:54
because there's just a revolving
door on immigration with a gravy
1:03:57
train upon arrival. People don't
like it. In France didn't even
1:04:01
hear about this. The French
villages winter ball knife
1:04:07
attack killing a 16 year old boy
injuring 17 people. And this
1:04:13
immigrant told guests were here
to stab white people before he
1:04:16
started to stab white people. So
it this is not stuff that people
1:04:21
like now here's the kicker.
European lawmakers approved
1:04:26
plans on Wednesday to remove the
national veto for EU member
1:04:31
states. A total of 291 members
of European Parliament supported
1:04:37
that proposal put forward by the
for Hallstatt group member gi
1:04:41
for hotstart. The guy the guy
who was all against the you know
1:04:45
the Belgian guy who was all
against Brexit and was making a
1:04:49
big problem, the arch
Federalist. So the vote was
1:04:54
passed by a majority of just 17.
So now, a European country like
1:04:59
the Netherlands can no longer
have a veto on laws they don't
1:05:02
like didn't hear about that
anywhere. Goodbye sovereignty
1:05:10
that
1:05:10
John C Dvorak: would make what
would make the European Union so
1:05:12
appealing if you have no power
whatsoever.
1:05:17
Adam Curry: It would that hence
next it you know, I don't think
1:05:22
Fayetteville is just gonna get a
parliament together. I have the
1:05:26
VVD, which was the current
majority or the was the majority
1:05:31
party before the election in
coalition. So they got to kind
1:05:36
of a center, right ish, I guess.
Government very, very slight
1:05:41
right ish. They said, well, we
don't want to be in a coalition
1:05:47
with the PVV, which everyone was
kind of counting on to, but we
1:05:51
will, whatever they want, we'll
just agree with them. That it's
1:05:55
gonna be very hard for him to
form this thing. Now he can get
1:06:00
there's a couple of weird new
parties, which got, he can get
1:06:03
the farmer party in there, but
he still needs 76. And he's a
1:06:07
37. And it's not going to be
easy. It just may not happen.
1:06:10
Which will, which will mortified
people in the Netherlands is
1:06:13
very interesting to watch. It's
very, because I think that where
1:06:18
the Netherlands goes so the rest
of Europe goes and you're right.
1:06:21
If you don't have a veto, if you
can't stop something completely
1:06:24
ludicrous. Why would you want to
be in it? Now? You've already
1:06:28
got Fifi Lagarde running your
bank, how soon assumed so much
1:06:33
nuttiness. Meanwhile, here in
America, this was very
1:06:38
interesting. CBS Sunday did a
story between two CBS journal or
1:06:44
two journalists, where the
journalists were the story
1:06:48
John C Dvorak: and nothing like
journalists interviewing
1:06:50
journalists,
1:06:51
Adam Curry: and they didn't have
a single outside person in this
1:06:55
six hour, six hours. It could
have been six in the six minute
1:06:58
piece. Tim Alberta has written a
Tim Alberta I think he's mainly
1:07:04
an Atlantic writer. His dad was
a preacher or pastor at a
1:07:09
church. He grew up in the
church. And well wouldn't you
1:07:13
know it? The church is being
hijacked by Trump. The church is
1:07:17
political. It's no good. And we
have to have, we have to have a
1:07:21
book out which now these two
journalists, what's the other
1:07:23
guy's name? The CBS guy is
Robert Kosta. And he interviewed
1:07:29
Tim Alberta, about the whiten
white evangelicals.
1:07:35
Unknown: Alberta's reckoning
with faith and politics is the
1:07:38
basis for his new book, The
kingdom, the power and the
1:07:41
glory, which documents what he
calls an age of extremism for
1:07:45
evangelicals. There was
1:07:47
a real crisis in the American
church, specifically, a crisis
1:07:52
in the white Evangelical
1:07:53
Church. About a quarter of
American adults identify as
1:07:57
evangelical. And as the
Republican presidential race
1:08:00
heats up. nearly 70% of white
evangelicals are supportive of
1:08:05
Trump. Alberta says that
reflects a shift away from norms
1:08:09
in the GOP and in the church,
1:08:12
we should think about the
American church almost in
1:08:15
parallel to American politics,
when it gains enough influence.
1:08:20
When it gains enough power. The
Fringe can overtake the
1:08:24
mainstream. And that's what
we've seen happen in the church.
1:08:29
The convulsions in today's
churches come after decades of
1:08:32
Evangelicals gaining influence.
Hey,
1:08:35
you love God?
1:08:36
Do you love him with all your
heart? With all your soul from
1:08:40
Billy Graham stadium crusades,
we do the stadium rallies of
1:08:44
Donald Trump.
1:08:45
But you know, we have our
Christian conservatives.
1:08:50
There in the room, let's go
1:08:52
drum. In recent years
evangelicals have had debates
1:08:56
over the response to COVID and
to Trump all while many key
1:09:00
Republicans count themselves as
one of them.
1:09:03
Adam Curry: What I find most
interesting, there's one more
1:09:05
clip here. What I find most
interesting is the Democrat
1:09:10
Party has actually been doing
this for decades. And that was a
1:09:14
man I learned all this from Moe
but it's it's right out there.
1:09:18
Who is one of the big promoters
of the Democratic Party events
1:09:21
amongst black America. Al
Sharpton name another William
1:09:27
Jesse, Jesse Jackson, what are
they reverends this was all this
1:09:34
is all the Democrat Party has
always said yeah,
1:09:38
John C Dvorak: they're no they
don't like the idea this is
1:09:39
happening to them. Exactly
against them. What's interesting
1:09:43
is I liked it, the tricky use of
association. So you have Billy
1:09:48
Graham in front of a huge
audience from 60 or something.
1:09:51
It doesn't matter when but but
there are these guys and they
1:09:55
get in front of it. Well, I'd
say the preachers in on TV that
1:10:00
are in front there in a
stadiums. Those guys, the mega
1:10:04
church guys, they got a big
giant audience and then then
1:10:07
they switched to Trump in front
of a big giant audience. And so
1:10:11
you make the association,
there's something going on. You
1:10:14
know, you could have done the
same thing by having Taylor
1:10:17
Swift in front of a big giant
audience, and then putting Trump
1:10:22
in there and claiming that he's
a rock and roller. I mean, this
1:10:25
is bull crap. Here we go.
1:10:28
Unknown: What do you say to
evangelical leaders? Who might
1:10:31
hear your argument and say, you
missed the point? Trump wins for
1:10:35
evangelical Christians. He wins
for conservative wins and what
1:10:40
Supreme Court seats, a seat at
the table at the White House.
1:10:45
Show me where in Scripture any
of that matters.
1:10:49
But it does matter to many of
those standing with Trump, as he
1:10:53
once again seeks the White
House.
1:10:55
And you had millions of
evangelical Christians who voted
1:10:58
for Donald Trump and just sort
of gleefully embraced his See,
1:11:03
this
1:11:03
Adam Curry: is where I would
have expected I would have
1:11:05
expected here to have a whole
bunch of Christians going, Yeah,
1:11:08
God told me to vote for Trump,
but they don't have any of that
1:11:11
they just connect is
1:11:12
John C Dvorak: because it
doesn't exist. But why don't we
1:11:14
go to go back and he makes it.
When one point is made. He says
1:11:19
show me a scripture that
matters. Well, his whole thesis
1:11:23
show me in scripture where any
of what he says matters.
1:11:27
Adam Curry: Exactly. Exactly.
This is a this is an interesting
1:11:31
hit pieces matter
1:11:32
Unknown: to many of those
standing with Trump, as he once
1:11:35
again seats the White House.
1:11:37
You had millions of evangelical
Christians who voted for Donald
1:11:40
Trump and just sort of gleefully
embraced his gleefully,
1:11:45
John C Dvorak: gleefully
embrace, gleefully. This guy is
1:11:50
a propagandist. This is the only
people that watch this besides
1:11:54
us, our left wingers and middle
of the road, nobody cares.
1:12:00
Whoever's bored enough to watch
60 minutes in his current
1:12:04
iteration, which is not a good
show. I might add. It's very
1:12:08
dull. And
1:12:10
Adam Curry: it's CBS Sunday not
60 minutes CBS Sunday. Oh, even
1:12:14
worse, Jane Polly Jane
1:12:16
John C Dvorak: Polly Polly show
nobody watches Jane Polly show
1:12:20
is well structured as a pro.
She's like really good, but
1:12:25
Adam Curry: and then they got
this Atlantic writer who grew up
1:12:28
in the church and then I think
he basically left to become a
1:12:33
political reporter. I'm not sure
if he's a Christian anymore or
1:12:37
John C Dvorak: not. Oh, he's
probably not he's probably an
1:12:38
atheist when he it
1:12:39
Adam Curry: was not much left
terrible
1:12:42
Unknown: rhetoric and his
unpriced like conduct Why is
1:12:45
Adam Curry: unpriced like condos
to be Christ?
1:12:50
John C Dvorak: Hey, hey,
Christian elect in Christ.
1:12:53
Adam Curry: The whole point is
we're all sinners, you douche.
1:12:57
Unknown: Terrible rhetoric and
his unpriced like conduct Why
1:13:01
did they gleefully brace it to
use your term? Power, power
1:13:06
Adam Curry: power?
1:13:06
Unknown: Sure. Trump campaigned
for President in 2016 promising
1:13:11
that if he was elected
Christians would have power and
1:13:15
he gave it to them where
1:13:16
Adam Curry: I never saw I never
I never heard that you heard
1:13:18
John C Dvorak: this I heard that
all I remembered they're gonna
1:13:21
build the wall and Mexico is
gonna pay for it. How come they
1:13:24
don't harp on that? That's
that's a good one in Mexico's
1:13:27
never pay for any of the wall.
So I mean, once you go after my
1:13:31
stuff, he actually said
1:13:32
Unknown: he gave it to them in
ways that arguably, no American
1:13:36
president has in modern history.
Holy crapola.
1:13:40
Adam Curry: He gave stuff that
that no, it's amazing, but what
1:13:43
is it?
1:13:44
Unknown: And when you have
power, you can very quickly lose
1:13:48
sight of your principles, your
values, even your beliefs as
1:13:54
your faith you know, honestly,
it's never been better.
1:14:00
Alberta's faith. Reporting is
also Satan. Satan, and he says
1:14:04
that is his own calling.
1:14:07
You and I were reporters. That's
right. We're not supposed to be
1:14:10
the story. I never wanted to be
the story. Once you see this,
1:14:14
you can't look away.
1:14:16
Adam Curry: Dude, this is so
bold brother. This is such bull
1:14:19
crap. There's I was in church
this morning. I get up very
1:14:22
early to do that and still do my
show prep. There's there's as
1:14:26
many people who are looking at
Bobby The up as Donald Trump and
1:14:31
most people like is that I mean,
really, that's our choices. This
1:14:37
is just it's not true. But
they're freaked out. These
1:14:41
people are freaked out a by God.
They're really afraid of God and
1:14:44
Mike Johnson, I think is the
catalyst here. Oh, oh, he's
1:14:49
literally his imaginary daddy in
the sky.
1:14:55
John C Dvorak: Who's Mike
Johnson,
1:14:56
Adam Curry: the Speaker of the
House.
1:14:59
John C Dvorak: Oh, that guy Yes.
Oh yeah he's about at the funny
1:15:02
thing is as religious as he is,
he shows no signs of it. I don't
1:15:05
know what they're complaining
about. Because
1:15:08
Adam Curry: he says stuff. Yeah,
he says like, my worldview as
1:15:13
the Bible.
1:15:16
John C Dvorak: He wants to take
basically the worldview of the
1:15:18
United States of America, if
you're really looking good, I
1:15:20
had a God, cow, Winthrop,
Jordan, one of the most famous
1:15:24
history professors in the
country, who says, If you want
1:15:27
to understand American history,
you better sit down and read the
1:15:30
entire Bible, and then you'll
get it. And he wasn't a
1:15:34
religious guy. He was just a
matter of fact, he said that,
1:15:36
well,
1:15:37
Adam Curry: I'm gonna, I'm gonna
make a prediction what these
1:15:39
people are doing if they keep
this up the you're gonna see
1:15:41
revival. You're gonna see you're
gonna see a real revival.
1:15:45
They're awakening for powers
that have no idea exists because
1:15:48
they were kind of suppressed.
They'll
1:15:50
John C Dvorak: hear you
mentioned Kay RFK Jr, the the
1:15:54
OP. So I have two clips I want
to play which I think the
1:15:59
opposite ending I think they've
decided that they're going to do
1:16:01
something else.
1:16:03
Adam Curry: You know, there's
going to be it's going to be a
1:16:04
lot of people saying, Oh, now
you call the OP over there was
1:16:07
never an OP blog. It was fine. I
1:16:11
John C Dvorak: don't care you
say whatever you want. But I'm
1:16:14
just seeing a lot of self
destructive stuff now showing up
1:16:16
on his he's links to it. This is
I got to play
1:16:22
Adam Curry: the AI stuff where
all of a sudden AI is going to
1:16:24
eat the world. That was that was
a big, a big giveaway for me.
1:16:29
John C Dvorak: Or if yes, we
played down the last show.
1:16:32
That's when I trick I had two
other two clips to go with it,
1:16:35
but we ran out of time. Let's
listen to RF. This one here is
1:16:39
like a hot an eye roller RFK JR
and the seals. I started hearing
1:16:45
about some of your pets and
sealed
1:16:47
Unknown: my mother came from a
family of outdoorsman. And one
1:16:51
of them put a bunch of little
baby sea lions and ease and sea
1:16:55
lion. Each of his siblings a big
truck pulled in the driveway and
1:17:00
Christmas day and a great came
out of it was a little baby sea
1:17:03
lion and we raised them swimming
Overland. There were fish all
1:17:06
over the yard like six or seven
but you know he stayed with us
1:17:14
for a couple of years and he
just swam in a bowl with us he
1:17:17
jumped off the diving board and
he would run with the dogs the
1:17:20
dogs would sometimes go into the
nearby town and that was a
1:17:24
milkman not bring the milk in
the morning and he'd see the CEO
1:17:29
with a six dogs walking through
the town and
1:17:35
John C Dvorak: so Okay, so when
he was seven he had a sealed
1:17:37
pet. That's weird.
1:17:39
Adam Curry: This is very this is
very interesting before you move
1:17:42
to your next clip. He had an I'm
actually looking at up right
1:17:46
now. He had a clip on RFK Jr. on
on X eggs, which I saw just the
1:17:56
other day here. Here let me see
if there's audio to this one
1:18:00
once I started doing hocking on
when I was nine years old, he
1:18:04
did you know he was in hocking
1:18:07
John C Dvorak: to Faulconer.
Yes,
1:18:09
Unknown: my uncle President
Kennedy was in the White House
1:18:12
at that time and a lot of people
were talking about Camelot and I
1:18:16
read a book about Camelot about
the young King Arthur called The
1:18:20
Once and Future King by th YT.
And th y was a British Faulkner
1:18:25
Adam Curry: and there's all
these these pictures of him
1:18:28
holding up his gloved hand and
the Hawk is
1:18:31
Unknown: landing on him and so
he had a chapter in that book
1:18:34
about young King Arthur and
learning foul curry and I read
1:18:39
that it was very very detailed
and and to me absolutely
1:18:44
riveting. I
1:18:45
Adam Curry: won't play the whole
thing. But isn't that a rich
1:18:48
boys thing?
1:18:50
John C Dvorak: For you don't
think having a pet seal in your
1:18:53
giant swimming pool at home is
not a rich boys thing. I
1:18:56
Adam Curry: think it's in line.
I think is right up there. Yes,
1:19:01
my
1:19:01
John C Dvorak: pet seal so, so
there's so there's that stuff,
1:19:08
which is very negative, very
negative. So there we have him
1:19:13
coming off and tell me if you've
heard this. This is this is his
1:19:17
commentary on on the military
manufacturing the VAX
1:19:23
Unknown: vaccines were developed
not by moderna and Pfizer. They
1:19:26
were developed by NIH, their own
the patents are on 50% by NIH,
1:19:31
nor were they manufactured by
Pfizer or by moderna, they were
1:19:35
manufactured by military
contractors and basically Pfizer
1:19:38
moderna were paid to put their
stance on those vaccines as if
1:19:43
they came from the
pharmaceutical industry. But
1:19:45
that's not what they were doing.
They were coming from, you know,
1:19:48
the this was a hate military
project from the beginning.
1:19:53
Adam Curry: Well, I can't
disagree with what he's saying.
1:19:56
But
1:19:56
John C Dvorak: that Pfizer and
Maduro didn't make anything and
1:19:59
they just put their name on some
military stuff that came out of
1:20:02
a military what military
facilities manufacture vaccines?
1:20:08
Adam Curry: Well, maybe he may
mean develops because we both
1:20:12
know where they were
1:20:13
John C Dvorak: said they made
them. He said the military
1:20:15
manufacturer contractors made
the vaccines and Pfizer just put
1:20:20
their label on it. What what
facility is this? I would like
1:20:24
to know. Well,
1:20:26
Adam Curry: I don't know. But
that for Dietrich is where we
1:20:30
think
1:20:30
John C Dvorak: it was developed
a manufacturing place. That's a
1:20:32
pure research facility. Maybe
1:20:34
Adam Curry: you are muted, okay.
No, maybe I'm okay. You're
1:20:39
taking him literally at his
word, but he's trying to,
1:20:41
John C Dvorak: he said,
1:20:42
Adam Curry: I know. I'm gonna
give him this one. The seal and
1:20:46
the end the fall cleaning the
Hawking. That's, that's, that's
1:20:49
a problem for me.
1:20:51
John C Dvorak: I'll give him
this and I like to use the word
1:20:53
Hawking instead of Falken. Ray,
because talking implies selling
1:20:59
something or
1:21:01
Adam Curry: Hawking something
up. Well, there's
1:21:03
John C Dvorak: that too. One or
both, or Stephen Hollingshead
1:21:07
was the guy though that he's
Hawkins in the Hakan new
1:21:10
software. He's hawk and he's
hot. As hot because there's
1:21:12
something amiss with this Rive
with the with the OP.
1:21:15
Adam Curry: And it's it's really
stylized and highly produced and
1:21:19
lots of slow mo of Falcons meal.
And then one of them actually
1:21:24
grabbing something in the air.
Like a dove like a freedom dove.
1:21:33
Yeah, well, if the OP is not
over it this is not this is not
1:21:37
a good look for Bobby. It's not
although the polls are showing
1:21:41
while he would take 30% away
from Trump.
1:21:46
John C Dvorak: Well, if the
polls were accurate, that's
1:21:48
probably what recent would have
killed or if dwarf K popping?
1:21:52
Yeah, get rid of them to take
the bloods away from Biden.
1:21:55
They're trying to keep Biden
from getting in.
1:21:58
Adam Curry: We want him to be
attorney general. For Trump
1:22:01
Biden. I don't know. Biden, just
know. You know what I mean?
1:22:07
Anyway, since we're on vaccines,
and COVID. What we previously
1:22:13
could only get through NTD and
wion from India has finally hit
1:22:19
our shores. It's even in
Chicago, and I have a few clips
1:22:24
to share. The World
1:22:25
Unknown: Health Organization
says China has shared data about
1:22:28
a recent surge in respiratory
illnesses in children and
1:22:32
there's no sign of any unusual
or novel pathogens,
1:22:36
Adam Curry: who sought
information after Chinese news
1:22:39
reports and social media posts
described a surge in sick
1:22:43
children in recent weeks. Now
the data suggests the spike was
1:22:46
caused by known bacteria and
viruses like pneumonia and RSV,
1:22:50
who who says the surge is
happening earlier than expected
1:22:55
surge. Now, this is interesting
for really for one reason, we're
1:23:01
actually couple but it follows
the format follows the format
1:23:04
that we saw in November of 2019
and follows the format we're
1:23:09
seeing some stuff it's a little
different now because it's
1:23:12
children's children think of the
children as children. This is
1:23:15
bad is children. Children
children children's
1:23:17
Unknown: tonight a troubling
headline out of China headline
1:23:20
hospitals overwhelmed with
children's respiratory
1:23:23
illnesses. This is RSV cases are
rising in some parts of the
1:23:27
United States alone a second
1:23:29
John C Dvorak: aren't all
headlines trolling then they
1:23:34
shouldn't Shouldn't they be
inaccurate? Is that what she's
1:23:37
complaining? I'm not sure I
don't not sure I follow you said
1:23:41
trolling headlines and
1:23:42
Adam Curry: she said troubling,
troubling troubling.
1:23:46
John C Dvorak: Like she said
trolling headline a day ABC
1:23:49
Adam Curry: says trolling I'll
eat my shoe. No, no, no.
1:23:54
troubling. Yeah, I
1:23:54
John C Dvorak: think it's fine
to mistake and Rob billings
1:23:56
Unknown: tonight a troubling
headline out of China reports of
1:23:59
hospitals overwhelmed with
children's suffering from
1:24:01
respiratory illnesses. This is
RSV cases are rising in some
1:24:05
parts of the United States.
1:24:07
Adam Curry: Notice that
connection completely irrelevant
1:24:09
connection. This is walking
pneumonia. But But oh, it's
1:24:13
troubling because we have
something going on in China and
1:24:16
RSV on the rise in America.
Let's
1:24:18
Unknown: bring in ABCs Brett
Clinet in the brand for us and
1:24:21
you're running the World Health
Organization is in contact with
1:24:24
China tonight on this potential
worrying spike are the outbreak
1:24:28
a worrying
1:24:29
Adam Curry: spike? Oh, this is
beautiful. Hi,
1:24:31
Unknown: Lindsay. Yeah, these
reports coming out of China are
1:24:34
grabbing international
attention. The UN health agency
1:24:37
is investigating what it calls
clusters of undiagnosed
1:24:40
pneumonia with some hospitals in
northern China overwhelmed with
1:24:44
sick children. Tonight the World
Health Organization consulting
1:24:47
with health
1:24:48
John C Dvorak: care stop again.
If it's pneumonia, how is it
1:24:54
undiagnosed? Do you have
anything undiagnosed pneumonia
1:25:00
If it's not, you just diagnosed
it is called pneumonia. How is
1:25:04
it undiagnosed?
1:25:06
Adam Curry: Because this is
meant to put fear into you over
1:25:09
children.
1:25:10
Unknown: Tonight the World
Health Organization consulting
1:25:13
with health authorities
reporting an increase in
1:25:15
respiratory illnesses but
crucially, not detecting any
1:25:18
unusual or novel diseases. The
WHO noticing the uptick in cases
1:25:23
may not be so unexpected given.
This is China's first flu season
1:25:27
since COVID. restrictions were
lifted. Similar to what you
1:25:30
might remember happened in the
US after lockdowns ended, but
1:25:33
scientists are continuing to
monitor this very closely.
1:25:36
Meanwhile, in the US RSV cases
are on the rise, especially in
1:25:40
southern states, saying children
under five are being
1:25:44
hospitalized at the highest
rate, health officials urging
1:25:47
families to be vigilant as they
start gathering indoors for the
1:25:50
holiday season.
1:25:51
Adam Curry: So what I'll say
about ABC is they immediately go
1:25:54
to their sponsors, hey, there's
something going on in China.
1:25:58
RSV, maybe we can get some more
people interested in that RSV
1:26:01
vaccine, which costs $1,000,
which they can't sell to
1:26:04
anybody. But if we go to wi O N,
are our go to or go to gal. They
1:26:13
have a little more detail on
what's happening with China's
1:26:16
walking pneumonia outbreak. The
1:26:19
Unknown: beginning of the
outbreak in China, it's too big
1:26:21
to ignore. They're clocking more
than 10,000 cases a day. Most of
1:26:25
the patients are children.
They're coming down with a
1:26:27
mysterious pneumonia. They have
infected lungs and fever, but
1:26:31
the cause of the illness is
still unclear. You don't know
1:26:34
exactly what this diseases and
China won't say how many cases
1:26:38
there are or how widespread the
outbreak is. Unofficially, it's
1:26:42
been called a walking pneumonia.
Officially, China is not sure
1:26:46
what it's dealing with. But
here's what we've been able to
1:26:48
piece together. Its massive
1000s of patients, mostly
1:26:52
children. There is anecdotal
evidence from key has hotspots
1:26:55
like China's capital, Beijing,
the Beijing Children's Hospital
1:26:59
is overwhelmed. They're getting
7000 patients a day. That's the
1:27:03
daily average average 7000
patients and other hotspots at
1:27:07
Tianjin. It's a metropolis in
northern China close to Beijing
1:27:11
last Saturday. Tianjin reported
a big surge over 13,000 cases in
1:27:15
24 hours. And this is just from
one hospital to Tianjin
1:27:19
Children's Hospital, the biggest
one in the city, this hospital
1:27:22
and remember what the pandemic
taught us these numbers are only
1:27:25
a conservative estimate. They do
not reflect the full scale of
1:27:27
the crisis. If 13 patients end
up in hospital, there are most
1:27:32
likely many more outside many
more carrying the infection.
1:27:36
Okay, I
1:27:36
Adam Curry: have two questions
for you. One, what is walking
1:27:39
pneumonia?
1:27:41
John C Dvorak: walking pneumonia
is the kind of you have
1:27:43
pneumonia, but you can wander
around it's easy to find you may
1:27:45
be short of breath, which is
good common. It's used in rock
1:27:49
and roll lyrics, rocking
pneumonia, and the boogie woogie
1:27:51
blues. If you recall. I think
this is mass hysteria. Yes.
1:27:56
Adam Curry: And this is perfect
to hype up because that's
1:27:59
exactly what happened. The
beginning of COVID we saw people
1:28:03
remember the the anonymous nurse
who came out new in New York and
1:28:08
she said, I'm seeing people come
in and they're just freaked out.
1:28:11
They don't have anything then
they don't even have they have a
1:28:14
sniffle. But they're freaked out
and they're and they're there.
1:28:17
They got palpitations, they're
fainting. They're so freaked out
1:28:20
by the media, which has not yet
cranked up yet in America.
1:28:24
Here's question two. Would you
be so kind as to keep your eye
1:28:31
on San Francisco where she and
his Chinese delegation just was
1:28:36
where they're nasty, infected,
seething, oozing, walking
1:28:42
pneumonia bodies.
1:28:43
John C Dvorak: I think they
dropped the ball on that and
1:28:46
they can still pick it up.
1:28:47
Adam Curry: They can still pick
it up. But they got to hurry too
1:28:49
late. They got to hurt. No, I
think they can still pick it up.
1:28:52
But I don't know. It took a
while for them to remember. We
1:28:55
had to see videos of tick tock
videos of Chinese fall on their
1:28:59
face. Now yeah,
1:29:02
John C Dvorak: having the shakes
have a white powder sprayed all
1:29:04
over, dragged out of their car.
1:29:05
Adam Curry: But how about this?
Where's Bill Gates immediately
1:29:08
saying, All right, everybody,
this is probably nothing. We got
1:29:11
our health force one on the
case. This is what we talked
1:29:14
about. We know how to do this
for helicopters landed when to
1:29:20
sweep the streets of San
Francisco make sure everything's
1:29:22
okay. Isn't this what we learned
from the pandemic? Why are we
1:29:25
ignoring this?
1:29:26
John C Dvorak: I playbook is
vague.
1:29:32
Adam Curry: I just want to make
sure we keep our eye on it
1:29:34
because
1:29:35
John C Dvorak: we need to keep
an eye out keep an eye on San
1:29:36
Francisco wait for it because if
it happens, it'll happen within
1:29:40
the next seven days. It has to
know
1:29:42
Adam Curry: I agree. It has to
hurry very it has to
1:29:46
John C Dvorak: monitor the local
news.
1:29:48
Adam Curry: Yes be monitoring.
1:29:50
John C Dvorak: It really two
steps. Yes, two stages. One, you
1:29:54
announced what's happening. And
then the second one, some expert
1:29:57
comes out in May. They may
attend it just could be because
1:30:02
the Chinese delegation, I mean,
that'll be the second step where
1:30:05
they blame you, that will be
good. They will the hassle away.
1:30:08
You have to do it and then
1:30:09
Adam Curry: we got to shut down
all flights from China. Well
1:30:16
John C Dvorak: maybe, maybe
listen up and Dr. Trump would do
1:30:19
it. But
1:30:20
Adam Curry: John, they've been
pushing this RSV, which, yes,
1:30:24
agreed it's it has existed is
dangerous to little babies. But
1:30:30
it hasn't been a huge thing.
Certainly not for older people.
1:30:34
But they've been pushing this
vaccine for for what, six months
1:30:37
now. Maybe even more. Now is
their shot. You can't tell me
1:30:42
that. That Albert Borla is not
looking at this going. Oh my
1:30:46
god. This is another shot for
us. We need to make my more
1:30:51
billion there will be another
pandemic. His stock is in the
1:30:54
tank. I'd be out there. Yeah,
you would. And you hear them
1:31:01
already. And you hear them
already connecting? What's
1:31:05
happening in China. RSV. Oh,
yeah. They'll be careful this
1:31:08
holiday season. RSV, Boo Boo.
Yeah. And yes, mass hysteria. Of
1:31:16
course, we also want to cover up
what's going on in the
1:31:18
Philippines. This is I have a
clip, it's 45 seconds. I'll tell
1:31:24
you what the guy is saying. The
this the Deputy Speaker of the
1:31:29
House of Representatives of the
Philippines, Dan Fernandez, good
1:31:31
old Dan. And he says hey, we
have to start an investigation
1:31:37
into the 260,000 excess deaths.
The
1:31:41
Unknown: copy of the said
solution this is about a 260,000
1:31:48
excess deaths that we
experienced in this country will
1:31:52
be showing a drop from the
Philippine statistics, authority
1:31:59
and Doh, maddening porcelain
copies that have been submitted
1:32:03
datas. And we are shocked to
find out that there were 262,000
1:32:11
deaths on 2021 alone. And after
that 2020 to 67,000 deaths. And
1:32:21
these are oil and explain that
No.
1:32:26
Adam Curry: So these are not
COVID deaths, debts death does
1:32:30
debt Sudden Death debts debts.
unexplained deaths, unexplained
1:32:34
deaths. Yeah, this is none of
this is good.
1:32:39
John C Dvorak: If you're going
to no one is going to get into
1:32:42
it again and let it pass over
how
1:32:44
Adam Curry: man you just you're
just saying I'm you're just so
1:32:47
cynical. We live in a clean
communications ecosystem.
1:32:51
trustful what? What was it
again? I gotta write it down.
1:32:53
What was this? What was the
phrase again? Yes, please.
1:32:57
John C Dvorak: Truth base, true
transparent media. Truth
1:33:01
Adam Curry: based. Transparent
media.
1:33:04
John C Dvorak: Yeah, that's,
1:33:05
Adam Curry: that's the that's
the world we live in. Well, and
1:33:09
so then there's this, let me
see. Whereas this is this was
1:33:14
they even say it in the clip
here, which is really quite
1:33:18
phenomenal. Tonight.
1:33:19
Unknown: The former Minneapolis
Police Officer convicted in the
1:33:22
murder of George Floyd
hospitalized after being stabbed
1:33:25
at the Arizona prison where he's
serving a more than 20 year
1:33:28
sentence. A law enforcement
source tells NBC News that Derek
1:33:32
Chauvin was seriously injured
from the attack, which happened
1:33:36
at a medium security Federal
Correctional Institution in
1:33:39
Tucson. Chauvin was transferred
there as part of a plea deal
1:33:42
that allowed him to move out of
a high security state prison in
1:33:45
Minnesota, find the defendant
guilty in 2021 Shogun was found
1:33:50
guilty of murdering George Floyd
after being recorded on video
1:33:53
kneeling on Floyd's neck for
about nine minutes. In a
1:33:57
statement the Bureau of Prisons
confirmed an assault happened
1:34:00
around 12:30pm local time Friday
but did not name Chauvin. The
1:34:04
agency said employers performed
life saving measures before
1:34:08
transferring the inmate to the
hospital. Is there a concern
1:34:12
about security in prison for
high profile inmates?
1:34:16
There is always a security
concern for people who are
1:34:19
famous or infamous or police
officers law enforcement in
1:34:23
prisons. medium security does
not mean medium safety.
1:34:27
The stabbing comes after show
them recently spoke out for a
1:34:30
new documentary where he calls
his trial a sham and says the
1:34:34
knee restraint was a technique
he learned in police training,
1:34:37
excellent restraint technique,
right in their written policy
1:34:40
manual. And no comment tonight
from shoguns attorney, the
1:34:44
Office for the Minnesota
Attorney General so Shogun is
1:34:47
expected to survive. So
1:34:49
Adam Curry: two things about
this. One is this documentary
1:34:52
just came out about a week and a
half ago called The fall of
1:34:55
Minneapolis. I don't know if
you've seen it by any chance. I
1:34:58
tried to watch it You found it
unwatchable. Yeah. Oh,
1:35:04
John C Dvorak: I thought it was
quite interesting. And I
1:35:06
couldn't watch it. I'm sorry.
And
1:35:08
Adam Curry: the two things that
jump out, both we have covered
1:35:12
and we knew is that indeed this
particular move is covered in
1:35:17
the police training manual. And
to that George flowing basically
1:35:21
died of an overdose and the
autopsy showed it, right. So of
1:35:25
course, the coincidence of this
is a crowdfunded documentary, so
1:35:29
it's available for free, it's
out there. I have a link to it
1:35:33
in the show notes. So the
coincidence of this guy getting
1:35:36
shivved in prison while this
thing just drops is one. The
1:35:39
other one is Hello, Trump.
message if we get you in jail,
1:35:47
we're gonna get you're gonna get
shivved
1:35:51
John C Dvorak: Don't you think
that's an interesting
1:35:53
interpretation? I didn't
anticipate I thought
1:35:55
Adam Curry: about immediately
Yeah, don't don't show up here
1:36:00
with your truth based
transparent thinking.
1:36:03
John C Dvorak: Well, my my
thoughts on it were the just the
1:36:06
opposite of
1:36:07
Adam Curry: that. Oh,
interesting.
1:36:09
John C Dvorak: I'm thinking that
they're setting this guy up this
1:36:12
cop to get a clemency. It's
gonna be too unsafe for him
1:36:18
that's showing that you know
this. Now they have to look back
1:36:20
at the old evidence, and it's
quite like, oh, he killed the
1:36:23
guy. Oh, very well, but blah,
blah. So you come out with the
1:36:28
movie and do that. You can't.
1:36:30
Adam Curry: This is what the
whole George, this is what the
1:36:32
Black Lives Matter. Riots are
based on. You
1:36:36
John C Dvorak: can slip it in
without a lot of publicity. And
1:36:39
he'll be out.
1:36:40
Adam Curry: Wow. Okay. I hadn't
hadn't thought of that one. I'm
1:36:45
a little more cynical. Wow.
Okay. Oh, it's
1:36:52
John C Dvorak: not good. They're
having enough trouble getting
1:36:54
police recruited. They're going
to have to give this guy cut
1:36:57
this guy some slack. Meanwhile,
1:36:59
Adam Curry: plenty of other
messages going out in
1:37:01
particular. Here's here's here's
what you do not. Mayors and
1:37:07
governors of America do not
speak against our immigration
1:37:10
policy. Do not complain about
what we're doing here in the
1:37:14
White House. Because we're going
to re educate you
1:37:18
Unknown: this morning. New York
Mayor Eric Adams denies knowing
1:37:21
the woman who claims in a court
filing he sexually assaulted her
1:37:24
in 1993. It's
1:37:28
absolutely not true. You know, I
would I would, I would never do
1:37:34
anything to harm anyone just
really something absolutely
1:37:39
dead. That has never happened
and I don't recall ever meeting
1:37:44
the person who made the this
allegation.
1:37:48
The woman's legal filing contain
no details, but said Adams
1:37:51
caused physical psychological
and other injuries suffered as a
1:37:55
result of conduct that would
constitute sexual offences when
1:37:59
they both worked for the city.
30 years ago. Adams was a police
1:38:02
captain at the time.
1:38:03
Adam Curry: This is what's
interesting, because there's a
1:38:05
whole bunch of these for one
particular reason which I was
1:38:08
unaware of
1:38:09
Unknown: the woman filed their
claim under New York's adult
1:38:12
survivors Act that allows sexual
misconduct accusers to file
1:38:15
civil lawsuits that would have
otherwise been barred by the
1:38:18
statute of limitations. Actor
Jamie Foxx is also facing a
1:38:21
claim under the adult survivors
act by a woman who said he
1:38:24
sexually assaulted her at a
rooftop bar in 2015. He said the
1:38:28
alleged incident never happened.
And now he's threatening legal
1:38:32
action of his own and a former
model accused Guns and Roses
1:38:35
frontman Axl Rose have a violent
1989 Sexual Assault under the
1:38:39
same law. His attorney called
the claim fictional and said it
1:38:43
never happened. Sean Combs who
recently settled one lawsuit
1:38:47
filed under the adult survivors
Act was hit with a second by a
1:38:50
woman who says he drugged and
sexually assaulted her at 1991.
1:38:54
Combs denied it has spokesperson
calling the claim made up and
1:38:57
not credible. And saying in a
statement to ABC News. This last
1:39:01
minute lawsuit is an example of
how a well intentioned law can
1:39:04
be turned on its head.
1:39:05
Adam Curry: So all these
lawsuits came out because this
1:39:07
this law is expiring this adult
assault law. And I think the I
1:39:15
think it has expired now
everybody had to get there. This
1:39:18
lawsuit against Mayor Adams got
in like the night before, which
1:39:23
is good news, John, because we
dodged the bullet there. This is
1:39:30
a this is a male. This is what
that lady sued Trump over under
1:39:35
the same law. Yeah. So, you
know, I don't know, man, but
1:39:42
Eric Adams didn't sound very
convincing. I have to say,
1:39:45
John C Dvorak: this is
absolutely not true. There is
1:39:47
still a Biden play. Of course,
as a New York Mayor bitching and
1:39:53
moaning and then cutting, you
know, getting the Cardi B thing
1:39:58
did happen.
1:40:00
Adam Curry: It says, I loved you
know, we never played it because
1:40:03
it's just x politically is
1:40:04
John C Dvorak: extremely
offensive. But what she starts
1:40:07
Adam Curry: off by saying, Hey
y'all, if I get if I just get
1:40:10
disappeared, I'm not suicidal,
I'm Cardi B. Love that part.
1:40:18
John C Dvorak: I'm she's, she's
not gonna rousing to an extreme,
1:40:22
he's
1:40:22
Adam Curry: not going to get
disappeared. No, no, no, no. But
1:40:27
yeah, it's it's just all crazy.
And it really everything is so
1:40:33
incredibly political and, and
people are just falling for it.
1:40:37
We still back and forth back and
forth about Palestine. Oh, my
1:40:43
goodness. This this. So they had
a big protest in it, I think it
1:40:53
was London. And when they claim
300,000 people, which I'm right
1:41:00
on board, I'm sure it was that
big. But this, you know, the
1:41:04
signs are professional. And the
spokes person you'll hear is a
1:41:09
spokesperson for the Palestine
Solidarity campaign. The
1:41:14
Unknown: golems in Gaza may have
fallen silent for now, but
1:41:17
around the world calls for a
permanent ends to the violence
1:41:20
continue to grow louder.
Organizers estimated at least
1:41:25
300,000 marched through central
London on Saturday, in what
1:41:30
marks the seventh straight week
of demonstrations in the UK,
1:41:33
supporting Palestinians. The
demands throughout that time
1:41:38
have remained the same, a
permanent end to the crisis in
1:41:41
Gaza, not just a pause.
1:41:43
Week after week, pro Palestinian
protests have paralyzed the
1:41:46
streets of western cities. While
the demands for a permanent
1:41:50
ceasefire still haven't been
met. There is a growing belief
1:41:53
here that their voice is one
that's being heard.
1:41:56
There is no doubt Israel did not
want to agree to this temporary
1:41:59
pause. The deal were finally
accepted was put on the table
1:42:02
two or three weeks ago. They
didn't want to accept it. Why is
1:42:05
he accepted it as accepted it
because it has been put under
1:42:08
some pressure by governments,
international governments,
1:42:12
particularly Western
governments. But why are they
1:42:15
doing that they're doing that
because across the piece here in
1:42:19
the UK, but also elsewhere,
people are making clear that
1:42:22
their governments are not
representing their views.
1:42:27
Similar action was seen on
Saturday elsewhere in Europe, in
1:42:30
Frankfurt, the number of Marches
was smaller, but no less vocal.
1:42:36
As in London, people said
something more needs to change.
1:42:41
Adam Curry: So I go to the
Palestine Solidarity campaign,
1:42:45
which is at Palestine
campaign.org. And they are not a
1:42:50
nonprofit. They say themselves
we are a political organization.
1:42:55
They are a big movers behind the
BDS movement, boycott, divest
1:43:01
and sanctify whatever it is. And
who are patrons who is at the
1:43:07
top of the list. John Austin,
former Labour MP, Jeremy Corbyn
1:43:12
and Labour MP, Victoria Britain,
editor, Guardian, these are
1:43:20
leftist leftist status, who only
want you to vote out the current
1:43:25
politicians. They don't care
about babies and incubators. I
1:43:31
John C Dvorak: shouldn't think
so
1:43:32
Adam Curry: these it's all it's
just all political, just like
1:43:38
we're doing in the United States
and the audit, spin everybody
1:43:41
up, get them all wacky, and then
tell them to vote that guy out.
1:43:47
That's all that it is.
1:43:50
John C Dvorak: And I don't I
don't know that. In that case.
1:43:52
Definitely. There's no sincerity
whatsoever. Now, you
1:43:56
Adam Curry: talked earlier about
the protests in Israel. They are
1:43:59
protesting in front of the Prime
Minister's home bebes pad. And
1:44:05
here is now this is this is from
TRT, of course, the Turkish
1:44:10
radio and television which we'll
get no. So take that for the
1:44:12
slant they have. So this is one
guy. His name is E tie. He's
1:44:18
miked up. So it's not like a man
on the streets like, Hey, stand
1:44:21
here. Let me make you up. And
let's hear what he has to say.
1:44:24
Unknown: I have never, for one
single moment in my life have
1:44:28
trusted this man. I think he's a
psychopath. I think he's he's a
1:44:32
lunatic. Not just I think that
lots of people. I would never
1:44:37
trust him with anything. Not
him, not as government. They're
1:44:42
dangerous people. They're
extremists. They're fascists.
1:44:46
They're racists. They're
fanatics. They don't want to
1:44:49
face they want more because it
serves their own self interest.
1:44:53
While most of the people on both
sides you know, Israelis
1:44:59
Palestine. humans alike. They
are the people who pay the
1:45:02
price. They are the ones who
suffer. They are the ones whose
1:45:07
lives are lost while they keep
the power in their hands.
1:45:11
Estonia is just like Donald
Trump, just like the Russia
1:45:16
weeks, just like Hitler. These
people do everything to keep
1:45:22
power in their hands and they
don't care if everything else
1:45:26
crumbles. They can destroy
everything just as long as they
1:45:29
remain in power. Just like he
told the German people you're
1:45:33
not worthy of living. Because if
I go down, you go down with me.
1:45:38
Same thing with him. So
1:45:40
Adam Curry: Hitler, it all comes
back to Hitler and Donald Trump.
1:45:44
John C Dvorak: That was
beautiful. Except there was over
1:45:48
modulate, learn Trump you can't
beat it
1:45:50
Adam Curry: was a little over
modulated the TRT needs some
1:45:53
work on their audio, they could
do better there, they could do a
1:45:57
little update on the the
investigation from the
1:46:00
department of education because
as you know, we're also a civil
1:46:03
rights organization. We're gonna
dive in and see what's happening
1:46:05
because we can't have any more
of this genocide Joe talk. No,
1:46:08
no, no, NBC take it away.
1:46:10
Unknown: Department of Education
is now investigating alleged
1:46:12
harassment complaints at Cornell
and other schools.
1:46:15
It's just been really, really
challenging for people on this
1:46:17
campus. When I'm seeing my peers
marched down the streets
1:46:20
chanting things like from the
river to the sea, which we've
1:46:23
seen as really a call for
genocide or an ethnic cleansing
1:46:27
of Jewish people.
1:46:28
Many Jewish students see that
slogan from the river to the sea
1:46:32
as a call for violence. Many
Muslim students say it's a call
1:46:36
for equal rights.
1:46:37
The thing says, from the root to
the sea, Palestine will be free.
1:46:40
So question is, where is it from
the river to the sea?
1:46:42
Palestinians shouldn't feel
safe? That's a better question.
1:46:45
I think we should entertain.
Let's look at the map and say, I
1:46:48
want Palestinians to be free. I
want Jewish folk to be free,
1:46:51
everywhere from the river to the
sea. That's what it means.
1:46:54
My problem is with that slogan
and specific not whatever
1:46:58
message anyone thinks they're
sharing with it, because Hamas
1:47:02
has used it. It's been
appropriated by a terrorist
1:47:04
organization. Cornell
1:47:06
has increased security and
promised new programs to fight
1:47:09
anti semitism and tells NBC News
they condemn all forms of
1:47:13
discriminatory bias.
1:47:14
Adam Curry: Yeah, okay, fine. My
favorite propaganda technique
1:47:22
that I see is I didn't clip it
because it's just way too long.
1:47:26
But there's a Muslim woman
Muslim, and she has the just her
1:47:30
face is visible. So that's not
it's obviously not a burqa, it's
1:47:33
not the what is that? That's the
job. Is that the hijab and maybe
1:47:39
the
1:47:41
John C Dvorak: hijab, our knee
jerk, you tackle a guy too low.
1:47:47
Adam Curry: And it goes like
this. Do you know Roald Dahl
1:47:50
Roald Dahl, who wrote Charlie in
the Chocolate Factory? Roald
1:47:54
Dahl, who wrote James and the
Giant Peach that guy loved by
1:47:57
children all around the world.
Have you ever heard of his book
1:47:59
going solo?
1:48:02
John C Dvorak: And talking about
is that about masturbation?
1:48:06
Adam Curry: You're just full of
them today, aren't you? Oh my
1:48:09
goodness. Roald Dahl was a pilot
in the Royal Air Force and in
1:48:14
1938 and it's a very shortened
version how they tell this he
1:48:18
landed in, in Palestine. And he
was and this is like, he was in
1:48:23
Palestine. Don't you get it? He
was in Palestine. It was
1:48:26
Palestine. He landed in
Palestine. And there was it
1:48:29
wasn't Israel. It was Palestine.
so easily. Disregarding the
1:48:34
entire region was Palestine
including Syria Golan Heights.
1:48:40
And then you know, and this
somehow is supposed to prove
1:48:43
that that wasn't it wasn't 1938
This wasn't Israel. It was
1:48:47
Palestine in 1938. It was the
British ran the whole joint in
1:48:52
1938 True. Are you forgetting
something? Bretton ran the joint
1:48:57
after the audit of the collapse
of the Ottoman Empire? It's it's
1:49:01
the the lack of history of
knowledge of history is
1:49:05
astounding.
1:49:07
John C Dvorak: It's not really
astounding.
1:49:09
Adam Curry: It's disappointing.
Well, there's
1:49:12
John C Dvorak: that yeah, I'm
1:49:13
Adam Curry: to the point where
we're gonna ruin our Macy's
1:49:15
Thanksgiving Day Parade. Also
1:49:17
Unknown: in New York City, pro
Palestinian protesters disrupted
1:49:20
the annual Macy's Thanksgiving
Day Parade.
1:49:27
Demonstrators jumped barricades
and ran into the street with
1:49:30
some gluing their hands to the
ground were later taken into
1:49:33
custody. This comes amid
heightened tensions over the
1:49:36
war, the Middle East, ABC News
has learned that pro Palestinian
1:49:39
protesters planted demonstrated
shopping malls across the
1:49:42
country on Black Friday.
1:49:46
Adam Curry: So we finally found
a protest who's who's doing or
1:49:51
to someone who's who's
Islamophobic has been very
1:49:53
difficult to find this. You
know, this is why a genocide Joe
1:49:57
there in the White House is
saying hey, We won't tolerate
1:50:01
anti semitism or Islamophobia,
which I still think should be
1:50:05
some of phobia and Islamophobia.
Okay. But we found a guy. We
1:50:10
found the guy and oh in
1:50:13
Unknown: New York City, a one
time adviser to President Obama
1:50:16
stood after he was caught on
camera heard this guy vendor
1:50:19
with an Islamophobic rant.
Stephanie Goss has details
1:50:24
I'm working now.
1:50:25
Can you live videos are hard to
watch. We killed 4000
1:50:29
Palestinian kids. You
1:50:30
know why he wasn't enough
1:50:32
on multiple occasions. National
Security Adviser for President
1:50:37
Obama, no street vendor in
Manhattan terrorists to support
1:50:42
terrorists unless you go hurling
Islamophobic insults rape your
1:50:48
daughter like Muhammad. Speaking
salvo it's also questions the
1:50:55
vendors immigration status.
1:50:57
Yeah, American citizen.
1:50:58
And how did you become an
American citizen at one point
1:51:01
taunting him by taking his
picture? The 64 year old is
1:51:06
facing multiple charges
including stalking as a hate
1:51:08
crime
1:51:09
Adam Curry: and harassment
according to the NYPD, man, why
1:51:12
don't have to be one of our
guys.
1:51:14
John C Dvorak: You know what's
funny, is that they say it's
1:51:17
hard to watch. Yeah, because
it's really boring. He has a
1:51:22
zinger every few minutes but
it's like you watch this guy
1:51:26
just basically standing in front
of this guy stand and we're you
1:51:29
know, falafel place the guys
that Coptic Christian by the
1:51:32
way, while it runs the stand,
oh, and the guy standing there
1:51:35
is yakking away yakking away and
yakking away so, you know, who
1:51:38
the hell would you turn? You
can't watch it. But it was
1:51:42
boring. I agree. What a joker.
1:51:44
Adam Curry: And anyways, it
seems like you know, we got to
1:51:48
shut this thing down to because
this is very annoying to
1:51:52
genocide, Joe. And we got it. We
got to come up with solutions
1:51:56
BB. BB. You got people out there
talking to you like like your
1:52:00
trump. So you don't want to be
Trump or Hitler. So BB do
1:52:03
something. How about can we do a
little thing with some hostages
1:52:06
in over
1:52:07
Unknown: the next three days?
We're expecting to see more
1:52:09
hostages released 50? No, but
there are hopes that perhaps
1:52:13
that number could increase
further. Yeah. So
1:52:15
50 is over the course of this
what was agreed to be a four day
1:52:20
ceasefire. But there is an
agreement, what's been termed an
1:52:24
option to extend for a further
five days. And you will see in
1:52:27
that period, anywhere between
1011 12 up to 13 hostages
1:52:33
released again, per day. And in
return for each hostage that is
1:52:39
released, three Palestinian
prisoners would be freed by
1:52:43
Israel. Now, my understanding of
this is that it would be a
1:52:47
maximum of five days, because
the entire scope of this
1:52:51
agreement is around civilian
women and children. And it's
1:52:54
taught that there are around
100, in that category, held
1:52:57
captive by Hamas in Gaza. So
after that point, that takes you
1:53:02
to Around 100 people. I mean, if
they got to a point where 100
1:53:06
civilian women and children were
freed, you would then be into
1:53:09
other categories of captives
that would include soldiers and
1:53:13
also the men being held. Now
they are not part of the scope
1:53:16
of this agreement. And that's
why it has been termed as a
1:53:19
maximum sort of nine days. And
after that, you've got both
1:53:23
sides saying the war will go on.
1:53:28
Adam Curry: Biden, who knows
that this was a gaffe or
1:53:32
intentional. We don't know any
more with our president. But
1:53:36
because he doesn't really know,
I don't really have any proof of
1:53:39
what I'm saying. But let me just
throw something out there. Next
1:53:42
question, please. Leaders, what
are you hearing from them when
1:53:47
you talk to them? Hoping to get
cooperation from Arab leaders to
1:53:52
release them hostages? What do
you say, Mr. President?
1:53:54
Unknown: I'm hearing a lot but
I'm not going to speak to it
1:53:56
right now. There's an
overwhelming desire on the part
1:53:59
of the region to let me back up
I'm I cannot prove it. I'm about
1:54:06
to say. But I believe one of the
reasons why I'm awestruck when
1:54:10
they did was they knew that I
was working very closely with
1:54:14
the Saudis and others in the
region, to bring peace to the
1:54:18
region by having recognition of
Israel. Israel's right to exist.
1:54:22
We met
1:54:23
Adam Curry: you mean, Trump's
Abraham accords. That's what you
1:54:25
were doing. Mr. President.
1:54:26
Unknown: You may recall when we
did the G 21 of a while ago, I
1:54:31
was able to get a resolution I
made a statement pass through
1:54:34
there. Say we're going to build
a railroad from Riyadh all the
1:54:38
way through the Middle East,
into Saudi Arabia, Israel and
1:54:41
center and all the way up to
your what not to read it, not
1:54:44
the railroad, but it'd be an
underground pipeline, railroad
1:54:49
Adam Curry: and underground
pipeline railroad. What
1:54:52
Unknown: was crazy to not the
railroad, underground pipeline
1:54:56
and then railroad. The whole
idea is there's overwhelming
1:54:59
interest I think most Arab
nations know it, and
1:55:02
coordinating with one another to
change the dynamic in their
1:55:06
region for longer term peace.
And that is what I'm going to
1:55:10
continue to work on.
1:55:11
Adam Curry: But I have no
evidence of it. Geez, what is he
1:55:15
doing?
1:55:17
John C Dvorak: Yeah, that whole
thing that you just played was,
1:55:19
was played, I don't have that
clip where they were they're
1:55:22
doing it. But our T played that
clip and ridiculed him endlessly
1:55:26
saying he's not. He's taking
credit for stuff that no, but
1:55:30
that we already know, is being
done here, there. And everywhere
1:55:32
else besides him, he's out of
the loop. Exactly. went on and
1:55:36
on about it. It was actually
quite funny. Although it was,
1:55:39
you know, hard to prove one way
or the other, but they
1:55:42
definitely are in the mood for
and I think Terry's got
1:55:45
something to do with mocking
him. Well,
1:55:48
Adam Curry: she's the one she's
good at it. She's good at this
1:55:50
stuff. Who know.
1:55:53
John C Dvorak: Who knows, I do
have one kind of an odd report
1:55:55
that I did pick up that we
didn't we have never heard of.
1:55:59
Okay. And this is the US
attacks. You know, when they
1:56:04
Iranians were sending missiles
into hitting with some of our
1:56:07
bases in Syria in Iraq, we
counter countered with a few,
1:56:12
you know, bomb bombing runs. And
yeah, well, I guess one of the
1:56:17
ones we did in Iraq was not
against the Iranians, but
1:56:20
against the Iraqis. And they
pass a bunch of laws about it,
1:56:25
and they want us out of the
country.
1:56:27
Unknown: I think he came out the
Middle East once again, the US
1:56:30
has unleashed airstrikes on what
he says were Iranian backed
1:56:34
forces in Iraq, and the attack
was carried out by the AC 130
1:56:39
gunship known for its side
mounted, Gatling guns and
1:56:43
airborne artillery. Iraqi troops
were killed heavy Assad airbase,
1:56:49
Baghdad has condemned the act as
a direct violation of its
1:56:53
sovereignty.
1:56:54
The US strikes were conducted
without the notice of the Iraqi
1:56:57
Government in what was an
unacceptable violation of Iraqi
1:57:00
sovereignty.
1:57:02
Now, we earlier spoke with
independent politician Saad al
1:57:05
Motta, Alby, who strongly
condemned the US attack on the
1:57:09
Iraqi territory to
1:57:10
start with, these are Iraqi
fighters with a law that was
1:57:18
passed in the Iraqi parliament.
And they belong with their
1:57:23
movements and their affiliation
to the Iraqi Ministry of
1:57:29
Defense, and partially to the
Mobilization Units. So public
1:57:36
mobilization headquarters, so
they are backed by Iraq, and not
1:57:42
by Iran.
1:57:45
John C Dvorak: They were
shooting up the place. Yeah. And
1:57:49
you know, and they don't want us
there part today, I think they
1:57:52
discuss it a bit more.
1:57:54
Unknown: The attack on these
soldiers fighters was a severe
1:58:00
and gross violation of Iraqi
sovereignty, this is completely
1:58:06
condemned. And we think that the
Americans again, have violated
1:58:12
the agreement they have with the
Republic of Iraq. Therefore, we
1:58:15
think that the agreement that we
have with the Americans, as many
1:58:19
people think that this agreement
is null and void, and that has
1:58:24
no consequences whatsoever. So
why do we have the American
1:58:29
advisors says they are not
really advisors, they are
1:58:32
fighting for advisors,
StrikeForce, therefore, there
1:58:36
have been many calls out with
Iraqi parliament for the
1:58:40
Americans to cease their
presence in Iraq and move away
1:58:45
from any type of military
representation. Oh,
1:58:49
Adam Curry: yeah. So wait, the
advisors aren't just advisors.
1:58:53
That doesn't sound right. It's
1:58:55
John C Dvorak: like, why are we
there? So I thought we'd left.
1:58:58
Now was the middle of the night
we took off, we didn't we left
1:59:02
Iraq and left the green zone to
itself. And then we still have
1:59:05
the base for some reason. I
mean, do we have any respect for
1:59:09
another country sovereignty? We
have a base in Syria?
1:59:12
Adam Curry: Well, you and I do
and I think many people who
1:59:14
listen to this show do but the
military industrial complex who
1:59:18
was captured the entire
political system, clearly does
1:59:21
not. If you want an answer,
1:59:26
John C Dvorak: no, I didn't
really want an answer. I just
1:59:29
like to complain. But
1:59:30
Adam Curry: I want to talk about
cop 29, which is coming up this
1:59:33
week. Very big event. This is
the big one. This is the big,
1:59:36
big, big, big, big, really big
tipping point is to do Oh, it's
1:59:40
there's a lot going on. Now what
we're trying to have happen is
1:59:45
it will be great if we could
have some volcanic eruptions in
1:59:49
Iceland, because this would this
would really bring it home
1:59:52
because you know, climate
change. The glacier melt is
1:59:56
what's causing these volcanoes
volcanic eruptions. And
2:00:00
John C Dvorak: of course, we did
get a boots on the ground report
2:00:02
from one of our buddies or one
of our producers in Iceland,
2:00:05
which I will share
2:00:06
Adam Curry: now. Good. And this
is our resident night in
2:00:11
Iceland. His name is the night
champion of the frozen wastes,
2:00:18
and he has real boots on the
ground insight because he has
2:00:23
spent the last six years as a
glacier guide, he runs his own
2:00:27
private glacier guiding service
and YouTube channel called vivid
2:00:31
Iceland. So yes, we have lots of
volcanic activity. In isolated
2:00:38
most active volcanoes lie
beneath glaciers, these glaciers
2:00:41
function as a counterbalance to
the mag mag magmatic forces
2:00:46
below them. We're talking
millions of tons of ice crushing
2:00:50
the terrain below and
effectively pushing back against
2:00:53
the uplift that magma can cause
think of applying pressure to a
2:00:57
wound to stop the bleeding. As
you can imagine, as the glacier
2:01:00
melts, there's less ice mass on
top, the land rises due to
2:01:03
volcanic activity and you will
likely see more eruptions. With
2:01:06
that said, what all these
reports leave out is that the
2:01:10
location of the earthquake swarm
is in southwest Iceland, a place
2:01:14
with no glaciers. Yeah, no
glaciers there ice
2:01:24
John C Dvorak: bullcrap. Which
is funny because they won't talk
2:01:26
about that. But he also, I think
that's the literally has the 40
2:01:30
year cycle that he highlighted.
You can read that? Yes.
2:01:37
Adam Curry: Yes, they are
retreating melting. But
2:01:39
according to the records from
the Icelandic Met Office, there
2:01:42
appears to be a 40 ish year
cycle of glacial retreat, and
2:01:45
then a period again of glacial
advance for about 40 years
2:01:49
according to the climactic data,
climate, climatic sorry, froid,
2:01:54
climatic data I've seen over my
guiding career here, we should
2:01:59
be entering the glacial
advancement stage within the
2:02:01
next five to 10 years. The
winter, certainly it felt colder
2:02:05
over the last two years. And
we've seen record snowfall in
2:02:08
many areas, which would lead to
glacial advance. A few years
2:02:12
down the track, oh, goodness,
there's your boots on the ground
2:02:15
from a guy who actually takes
people on guided tours over the
2:02:19
glaciers. But just believe the
heaven forbid, the truth based
2:02:26
transparent media. So back back
to cop 29, this is the big one.
2:02:31
And I believe it's in Saudi
Arabia, I think is where it's
2:02:35
being held. This is the place
you have to fly into a fly in,
2:02:38
it's going to be great. There's
going to be you're going to have
2:02:40
special papers so you can drink
and I think Pierre is coming in
2:02:44
from Paris to do the lady's
hair. And we have a moment of
2:02:48
truth, the 28th note taking,
which I thought was 29 to 28.
2:02:55
John C Dvorak: I don't know
we'll keep the numbers in
2:02:57
Unknown: Dubai just next to the
International Energy Agency has
2:03:01
released a report saying that
this is a moment of truth, oil
2:03:06
and gas industry which needs to
decide whether it wants to
2:03:09
deepen the climate crisis or
help fix it. The report shows
2:03:13
that the oil industry currently
only accounts for 1% of global
2:03:16
investment in clean energy,
while meanwhile being
2:03:19
responsible for about 15% of
global energy related greenhouse
2:03:23
gas emissions. And that may not
seem like a huge amount but our
2:03:27
own operations so extracting oil
and gas from the ground
2:03:30
processing the fuels and
delivering them to consumers.
2:03:32
For example, un analysis
released earlier this month
2:03:35
showed that the planet is set to
heat up by nearly three degrees.
2:03:40
Where to stand any chance of
limiting the rise in global
2:03:43
temperatures to 1.5 degrees. The
IEA says drastic measures need
2:03:48
to be put into measure. What do
those include, while the report
2:03:51
is quite clear in what it wants
from oil and gas players. And so
2:03:54
the solution is twofold. It
wants them to cut the pollution
2:03:57
we mentioned earlier by more
than 60%. Something it says
2:04:01
isn't too difficult, especially
when it comes to methane
2:04:03
emissions. And it needs to ramp
up its investment in renewables,
2:04:07
which currently only stands at
about 2.5% of its total capital
2:04:12
spending. It's interesting to
note as well that the report
2:04:14
says the oil and gas industry
needs to let go of carbon
2:04:17
capture as a solution to climate
change because it's simply not
2:04:20
adapted to the scale of
emissions.
2:04:23
Adam Curry: Oh, that doesn't
work anymore.
2:04:25
John C Dvorak: Oh go figure
since when?
2:04:27
Adam Curry: Well since cop 28 or
29, or whatever it is, hey, I'm
2:04:30
having dinner with the oil baron
on Thursday. So I'll hear how
2:04:34
well his stocks are doing and
how much more Blackrock is
2:04:38
invested because this is great
for the oil and gas industry.
2:04:42
But I have I think figured out
what this is going to be about.
2:04:46
Every single cop has a has a
goal is of course to move the
2:04:52
needle. We want to move it a
little bit further make people
2:04:55
afraid worried about the world
coming to an end scare young
2:04:59
children to not even wanting to
start families of their own
2:05:01
because why bother, we're all
going to die you don't want to
2:05:04
see your child die. In, in, in
flames or in the in the water,
2:05:09
the boiling water, you want to
see him die like lobsters in a
2:05:12
pot. And your own news did this
report and I think we now know
2:05:19
what the point is of this cop
wanting
2:05:23
Unknown: a week before world
leaders meet for the cop 28
2:05:25
Climate Summit 20 Canada's
hosted EU leaders for summit in
2:05:29
Newfoundland. Whilst there they
signed up to the green Alliance,
2:05:33
a package of environmental
pledges to limit climate change
2:05:36
to one and a half degrees. On
2:05:38
green issues. We've been aligned
for so long with with the
2:05:43
European Union, in knowing that
the economy and the environment
2:05:48
don't just have to go together
they do go together.
2:05:54
That is another photo
consequences for our society's
2:05:57
internal change requires
innovation, strengthen ambition
2:06:04
to work together to innovate, to
develop more technologies to
2:06:08
resolve those difficulties. And
those challenges together how
2:06:12
agreed
2:06:13
to expand carbon pricing, which
is the climate change tax 60% of
2:06:17
global emissions by 2030. And I
think
2:06:20
Adam Curry: it is the goal of
cop 28 is to get pricing, they
2:06:25
desperately need the pricing of
carbon, estimated to be
2:06:30
somewhere between 50 and $100
per tonne of carbon. Don't even
2:06:39
say carbon dioxide, just carbon,
just carbon, carbon, black,
2:06:44
dirty Saudi carbon. And that is
your tax that is your global tax
2:06:48
that will be taxed on everything
you do. Everything you eat
2:06:52
everywhere you go. Every every
move you make. Though you have a
2:06:57
washing machine, here's the
carbon tax that goes on top of
2:07:00
that for dirtying the world.
That's the point of cop 28. They
2:07:05
need to get the ability to that
would be a good point that would
2:07:07
be the one to do. Now in small
ways we're feeling a climate
2:07:12
change mitigation here.
Interesting. Article from as a
2:07:19
was it live and let's fly live
and let fly.com live and let's
2:07:23
fly. We know that in the United
States, but I believe it will be
2:07:27
worldwide if it isn't already
and one of my buddies from
2:07:30
Holland, he's a KlM 747 pilot. I
think he's coming in next week I
2:07:35
hope to be able to talk to him
because he would know he's a
2:07:37
captain. They're doing these new
approaches the approach now
2:07:42
instead of going down in a stair
step fashion going from flight
2:07:46
level to flight level to avoid
any chop or any jet wash
2:07:52
turbulence from other aircraft
is a thing of the past we need
2:07:56
to save on fuel so the airlines
can get their carbon credits,
2:08:00
they're their goody goody
points. So the just retarding
2:08:03
the engines and we're basically
we're gliding all the way down
2:08:06
so we use very little fuel and
passengers be damned. And here
2:08:11
is the article Why service will
end earlier on your next United
2:08:15
Airlines flight. The effective
December 1 2020 23 flight
2:08:22
attendants must be safely
buckled into their jump seats
2:08:25
for landing no later than the
double chime at approximately
2:08:29
10,000 feet above the ground. So
short haul flights, you're never
2:08:34
going to see a beverage no and
why is this It even says in the
2:08:38
article at lower flight
altitudes, pilots are conducting
2:08:42
approach maneuvers and aircraft
sensor data has shown an
2:08:45
elevated risk for turbulence.
Yes, because of your approach
2:08:50
maneuvers. Flight attendants
have sustained significant
2:08:54
injuries in the final approach
phase of phase of the flight.
2:08:57
Sure, but none of this is
necessary none of it and what
2:09:02
are you really saving? I mean
seriously. But you need to be as
2:09:09
uncomfortable as possible
because of climate change.
2:09:13
People are going to be puking.
2:09:16
John C Dvorak: Scary a lot of
people don't like turbulent most
2:09:19
people
2:09:19
Adam Curry: don't like
turbulence. But who cares? We're
2:09:25
sorry ladies and gentlemen due
to climate change. There's some
2:09:28
turbulence up ahead remember,
pay your climate tax your carbon
2:09:33
tax Thank you. Ding ding flight
attendants please be seated.
2:09:39
That's that's it's it's so sad.
We're ruining life for a while
2:09:47
yeah,
2:09:47
John C Dvorak: well hoax. I
remember my my turbulence story.
2:09:52
Adam Curry: Oh,
2:09:53
John C Dvorak: I'm in something
I've done in the Southern
2:09:56
California region. And I'm going
through we're coming in from I
2:09:59
think from Phoenix to Ontario,
and
2:10:04
Adam Curry: Ontario, California
or Ontario, Ontario,
2:10:07
John C Dvorak: California in
Southern California. And all of
2:10:11
a sudden that plane gets jerked
all over the place of wings look
2:10:14
where they're gonna see me
they're gonna come out. It's
2:10:16
just a huge mess. It was just
unbelievable. It was the worst
2:10:20
experience I've ever had in an
airplane. And the pilot comes on
2:10:25
and says, I'm sorry that we had
pierced it. We've gone through
2:10:28
the, the wake of a b two bomber.
That'll do it. Yeah. And we were
2:10:34
we were not given a heads up or
anything. We're very sorry. And
2:10:37
so we went through. So I'm on a
plane, some other some overseas
2:10:41
flight. And I'm sitting next to
one of these sales guys who's
2:10:46
basically flying all the time.
And so we started exchanging
2:10:51
flight stories about our horror
stories. And I tell him the
2:10:54
story about going through the
wake of a b two bomber. And he
2:10:57
says, Oh, really, you think that
was bad? And then he says to me,
2:11:01
did all the overhead
compartments open up and throw
2:11:04
luggage all over the place?
knocking people in the head? I'm
2:11:09
guessing not. No, he says all
within you have not been through
2:11:14
real turbulence. So that was the
end of that story. So I haven't
2:11:20
been through real turbulence. So
I don't know what that
2:11:21
Adam Curry: didn't really have
the crescendo I was expecting. I
2:11:24
was waiting for more of a
climax. But
2:11:26
John C Dvorak: okay, I was at
the anti climax. It was an anti
2:11:29
climactic story. stat is when
you sit next to one of these
2:11:32
guys who's basically doing
nothing but flying all the time.
2:11:36
Yeah. You can't forget about
flying, you can't beat. You
2:11:41
can't beat him.
2:11:43
Adam Curry: Of course, all of
this will all these problems
2:11:45
will go away when we have
electric planes. That was a good
2:11:50
laugh. Once we have electric
planes, it'll be fine. Then we
2:11:53
can just you know, there'll be
no jet wash. It'll be you know,
2:11:57
it'd be beautiful. You'll fly
for exactly. 22 minutes.
2:12:00
John C Dvorak: Yeah, well, it'd
be a lot of little stopover
2:12:02
points. So charging stations.
You fly for 20 minutes, just go
2:12:07
to lagging Station. Here for two
hours. let it recharge. Hop,
2:12:12
hop.
2:12:13
Adam Curry: I'm sorry. Let's go.
We laugh but sadly, it's not.
2:12:20
It's not a laughing matter is
bad. Luck got an interesting
2:12:28
note this morning about Sam
Altman's sister. Did you know
2:12:36
that Sam Altman has a sister?
No, I don't know that. Who likes
2:12:40
to write on medium?
2:12:43
John C Dvorak: Okay, a lot of
people do.
2:12:46
Unknown: I have experience there
2:12:47
John C Dvorak: because you can't
anyway, yeah,
2:12:49
Adam Curry: her name is Annie,
Annie, Annie Altman, I have
2:12:53
experienced drama like the open
AI drama. I grew up in it. But I
2:12:58
was repeatedly told quote, not
to talk about it. And to allow
2:13:02
another person to remove my
human agency. I have lived under
2:13:06
my siblings authority my whole
life. The narrative of Annie is
2:13:11
crazy. And Annie doesn't know
how to take care of herself as
2:13:14
what I was raised and
conditioned in that narrative,
2:13:17
along with intentionally
conditional love, is what was
2:13:20
used to control me my whole
life. I mean, she even accuses
2:13:25
him of
2:13:27
John C Dvorak: incest. Oh, yes.
Yes, that's not good. Sewer?
2:13:34
Adam Curry: Well, I mean, this
whole thing is,
2:13:38
John C Dvorak: is there a link
in the show notes? We should all
2:13:40
read it? Yes,
2:13:42
Adam Curry: there is a link in
the show notes. And she she even
2:13:44
says something weird here about?
Let me see. Let me just find
2:13:51
that where it is. That was so
she began in person sex work in
2:13:59
late 2020. To be able to
financially support herself and
2:14:03
then later with virtual sex. And
she says somewhere in here, she
2:14:08
says, you know, Thanks, Sam. I
helped you figure out your
2:14:12
sexuality after you climbed in
bed with me. Night after night
2:14:16
is creepy. God yeah, this whole
thing is creepy. That's
2:14:20
John C Dvorak: not a good thing
for him.
2:14:21
Adam Curry: It's not a good way
to read that.
2:14:24
John C Dvorak: I'm going to
switch gears before we get to
2:14:26
the break. Because I watched the
K part and he had some woman
2:14:31
from the beacon on on the PBS.
The beacon I just want what's
2:14:36
the clips? What's the beacon? To
beacon the Free Beacon? You've
2:14:41
seen it? It's an online
newspaper.
2:14:42
Adam Curry: Oh, yes. Okay. Yes.
Where are they located? The Free
2:14:45
Beacon in
2:14:46
John C Dvorak: Washington DC
there was the Washington Free
2:14:48
Beacon and they would put this
because nobody on Friday this
2:14:52
last Friday everyone's on
vacation. Nobody's watching it.
2:14:55
So they actually put some of
their this may be not a rant,
2:14:59
blatant liberal leftist
progressive.
2:15:02
Adam Curry: Oh was opposed.
Someone else snuck in while
2:15:05
everyone was was out. Well,
Brooke went on
2:15:08
John C Dvorak: vacation. But K
part did the show from home. And
2:15:11
I have two clips from him
because he's one of them just to
2:15:14
government. So
2:15:15
Adam Curry: he was just by
himself on a show that's
2:15:16
supposed to be red blue.
2:15:19
John C Dvorak: No, he's by
himself with a woman from the
2:15:21
Free Beacon. Oh, okay. He's by
himself at
2:15:24
Adam Curry: home, right? Okay.
On the zoom,
2:15:28
John C Dvorak: on the zoom. So
here we go. I just want to play
2:15:30
this. So we know why people love
Biden, they're going to vote for
2:15:34
Biden, and people think that
Biden is going to get kicked out
2:15:36
of office may be wrong. Let's
listen to Kate part talking
2:15:40
about Biden
2:15:40
Unknown: right now, when we most
needed this is the time when
2:15:44
President Biden is at his best.
He knows what he's doing. And I
2:15:48
just wish that Democrats in
general and the the American
2:15:51
public in particular, would
would give him the grace and
2:15:55
give him the room to exert
American exert American will and
2:16:00
American pressure as much as he
can on a situation that is
2:16:04
infinitely more complex than a
lot of his critics. give it
2:16:09
credit for.
2:16:10
Adam Curry: This is Israel,
Hamas that he's talking about?
2:16:13
Yeah, yeah, he's
2:16:13
John C Dvorak: talking about
that. And then by knows what
2:16:15
he's doing. He
2:16:15
Adam Curry: does. He says,
2:16:16
John C Dvorak: so shut up.
2:16:17
Adam Curry: I don't have any
proof of what I'm saying. But I
2:16:19
know what I'm doing. So
2:16:21
John C Dvorak: at the end of it,
they introduce a Thanksgiving
2:16:26
segment. And I just thought this
was too rich not to not to cut
2:16:31
and play.
2:16:32
Unknown: I have 40 seconds left.
And I will say that I am
2:16:34
grateful on this Thanksgiving
for my family and their support.
2:16:38
So each of you have 20 seconds.
Jonathan Capehart. What are you
2:16:41
grateful?
2:16:41
Nick, I'm grateful for science.
On Sunday, I tested positive for
2:16:47
COVID. So I've been at home
since since since Sunday. And
2:16:52
three years ago right now, the
nation was listening to emmalin
2:16:56
sciences sirens, hearing about
hospitals that were overflowing
2:17:01
with people who had come down
with Coronavirus, folks who were
2:17:04
intubated folks who passed away
without being able to see their
2:17:08
family and because of science, I
got a positive COVID diagnosis.
2:17:16
The sciences
2:17:20
Adam Curry: made the science be
with you. He had a positive
2:17:25
COVID test because he
2:17:26
John C Dvorak: was at home with
COVID because of the science
2:17:30
Adam Curry: did he meant as a
science. He mentioned the
2:17:32
science gave him the vaccine and
that he shouldn't have COVID Or
2:17:35
did what did he forget? He
doesn't
2:17:37
John C Dvorak: end in dedicated
detail. Come on.
2:17:42
Adam Curry: That's good. That's
good. Have you seen the this? I
2:17:45
want to play this just before
the break because it just
2:17:48
tickles me. Have you seen that
AI Indiana Anna, Indiana I'm
2:17:54
sorry, Anna, Indiana. This is
the latest in artificial
2:17:58
intelligence. And Indiana is an
AI robot babe animated thing.
2:18:07
And not only she her image, her
movements, her speech but also
2:18:13
the song is completely created
by artificial intelligence. Oh
2:18:18
yes. No,
2:18:18
John C Dvorak: I have not heard
of this. Well, you
2:18:20
Adam Curry: tell me when you
want to stop. Hello,
2:18:23
Unknown: world. My name is Anna,
Indiana, and I'm so excited to
2:18:26
share my music with you. Here's
my first song betrayed by this
2:18:30
town as an AI singer songwriter,
everything from the key tempo,
2:18:36
chord progression, melody notes,
rhythm, lyrics in my image and
2:18:42
singing is auto generated using
AI. I hope you like it.
2:18:46
Adam Curry: By the way it's a
little upbeat ditty called
2:18:48
betrayed by this town
2:19:05
Unknown: my favorite cafe
sipping my tea it's Saturday
2:19:15
live this town is full of broken
dreams shattered hopes and
2:19:23
silence greens you want more
2:19:25
Adam Curry: are you digging? It
2:19:26
John C Dvorak: ain't listening.
I want to hear a little more toe
2:19:27
Tapper is just terrible
2:19:31
Adam Curry: Yeah, yes here we
go. Here's
2:19:34
Unknown: the hook the trade by
this time
2:19:41
John C Dvorak: okay, I can stop
you establish that off keynote
2:19:44
trade
2:19:44
Adam Curry: by this town. Let's
tear it all down. This is never
2:19:49
going to work people who was
afraid of AI after hearing that.
2:19:55
These I got I got I got a
message from so you sounded like
2:20:00
a little girl wanting to take
away ar 15 You have no idea what
2:20:05
you're talking about. Don't
compare ll M's to AGI it will
2:20:09
come within 10 hours. 10 days or
10,000 years but it's coming.
2:20:13
What? Yeah,
2:20:15
John C Dvorak: that's what did
you complain about? Ar 15
2:20:17
Adam Curry: I didn't but that
was the comparison. You sound
2:20:19
like a little teenage girl
crying about AR fifteens that
2:20:24
was this is the vision about
about that I said AI sucks and
2:20:28
it's never gonna get
2:20:31
John C Dvorak: it. It has his
moments but in if it's used like
2:20:36
this song writer used it. It
sucks. Yeah,
2:20:39
Adam Curry: you cannot you
cannot replicate the human
2:20:43
talent can't be done. Yeah, you
can.
2:20:48
John C Dvorak: If you stealing
from human talent, you can Yeah,
2:20:51
and then you get this. You know,
that's a bad example. No,
2:20:55
Adam Curry: I'm saying you may
be able to steal from human
2:20:58
talent to replicate what human
talented but you can't create
2:21:01
new, new talented work. I love
my job and I love what I do. And
2:21:08
with that, I'd like to thank you
for your courage say in the
2:21:10
morning to you the man who put
the sea in the clean
2:21:13
communications ecosystem ladies
and gentlemen, say hello to my
2:21:17
friend on the other end the one
and only Mr. John
2:21:24
John C Dvorak: Imani you Mr.
Adam curry. Also in the morning
2:21:26
all ships and sea boots on the
ground feet in the air. subs in
2:21:30
the water and all the dames
knights out there in the
2:21:32
Adam Curry: morning to our
trolls been hanging out in the
2:21:34
troll room. Let's count them
shall we?
2:21:41
What do you think?
2:21:43
John C Dvorak: What do you think
Sunday going to be low? I'd say
2:21:46
2000 2078.
2:21:49
Adam Curry: More than you
thought. This is not that
2:21:52
John C Dvorak: much more than I
thought well, but it's better
2:21:54
than you thought. I'll
2:21:54
Adam Curry: take it it's two
more than 2000 Trolls listening
2:21:58
to this banter are witty banter,
2:22:02
John C Dvorak: banter, banter,
2:22:03
Adam Curry: I'll call a banter.
That's exactly what it is. Good
2:22:06
to see you here trolls they have
been pretty active actually has
2:22:08
been I only saw one or two
trolls kicked for flooding. But
2:22:12
otherwise, everyone's been
pretty nice. You know, the usual
2:22:16
stuff. But this is what it's
for. If you if so don't go on a
2:22:20
social network trolling people.
It's not worth it. You get into
2:22:25
long drawn out conversations and
then you got to check to see if
2:22:29
you got any likes or if someone
replied angry to you when you
2:22:33
get off. And then you use the
minute you finish dinner, you're
2:22:37
back on your troll alert, you're
watching and your heart rate
2:22:41
goes up. No, you're only giving
Silicon Valley more and more and
2:22:45
more attention. Don't do that.
Go to this troll room, get rid
2:22:48
of it right away. And it's gone.
And then you're gone. And people
2:22:52
like you suck and then it's then
we're on to the next step.
2:22:55
There's there's no permanent
record, it goes away. It's
2:22:59
ephemeral it goes away is
perfect that way, it's good as
2:23:03
good as good is a good thing to
do. You can do it twice a week.
2:23:07
On Thursdays and Sundays, you
can actually do it 24 hours a
2:23:09
day go to troll room.io We can
listen to the no agenda stream,
2:23:13
which is 24/7 tons of live
shows. A lot of podcasts record
2:23:17
live now, which we kind of
pioneered for everybody. Then
2:23:21
you package that up, boom, send
that out as your podcast for
2:23:24
those who missed it. It gives
you a live studio audience at
2:23:26
the same time. It gives you good
feedback, it gives you good
2:23:29
energy. And that's why we love
our trolls. Thank you for being
2:23:32
here trolls. Of course you can
also listen to the live stream
2:23:35
and be alerted when when the
stream goes live. Find a modern
2:23:40
podcast app which is not
connected to the Apple database
2:23:43
or any platforms. No it's modern
podcast apps.com which will give
2:23:49
you alerts when the show goes
live. In addition to that, if
2:23:54
you if you can't listen live
when we post the show within 90
2:23:58
seconds your app will tell you
boom it's ready for you. No
2:24:02
waiting for these legacy apps to
hook I'm gonna see if there's
2:24:05
something new over there. No.
I'll get something modern right
2:24:10
now. What are we drinking?
2:24:12
John C Dvorak: I am drinking
signature Oh brand seltzer water
2:24:18
original
2:24:20
Adam Curry: signature brand so
now is this what a signature
2:24:24
brand is that? Is that like
2:24:27
John C Dvorak: is that all those
house brands you get at grocery
2:24:29
store?
2:24:29
Adam Curry: Okay, so is
signature the name of the of the
2:24:32
chain that is Antar
2:24:33
John C Dvorak: no signatures and
one of those like loose shirt.
2:24:35
It's one of those house brand
that you find in certain grocery
2:24:40
stores.
2:24:41
Adam Curry: Okay, I'm drinking a
Waterloo
2:24:46
John C Dvorak: Waterloo so I
like Waterloo. Yeah, was
2:24:48
Adam Curry: it it has natural
flavors, which we now know is
2:24:51
basically chemicals.
2:24:53
John C Dvorak: Well wait until
if you like I'm saving for the
2:24:56
next show because they're
obviously we're not gonna have
2:24:58
time for it today. But I have a
a whole series of clips on how
2:25:03
these things are killing us. Oh,
2:25:06
Adam Curry: very so the art of
the tease, ladies and gentlemen,
2:25:09
how you're going to die on the
next no agenda. That's
2:25:12
beautiful. So that was and of
course there's no agenda
2:25:17
social.com where you can, you
can follow along with all the
2:25:23
trolls who like to troll and
like to get into arguments and
2:25:26
like to say you're wrong,
though. You're wrong. Jew hater,
2:25:30
Muslim hater. This is great,
beautiful place over there. You
2:25:35
can follow Adam at no agenda
social.com I'm not posting any
2:25:39
more. I'm just liking and
boosting. Or John Zurich, you
2:25:43
have not seen a post for me. I'm
only liking and liking and
2:25:48
there's some. There's some
douchebag is Adam curry memes?
2:25:52
This is a funny account. I've
seen this guy. No. So he's
2:25:56
taken, you know, my, my old logo
of mine. He's putting me and
2:26:00
Tina in his header. So it's a
total parody account, I guess.
2:26:05
And he's posting memes. And
they're even worse than the
2:26:09
regular memes people post is the
Adam curry memes account. Yeah,
2:26:15
I was like, yeah, maybe we'll
come up with a good one. But I
2:26:18
haven't seen it yet. He's not
bootable. He's not bootable yet.
2:26:23
Now, we are very thankful for
the producers. Because we don't
2:26:28
have listeners, we only have
producers, you should be a
2:26:30
producer in some form of the
three T's time, talent and
2:26:34
treasure. We got boots on the
ground from Iceland. That's a
2:26:39
perfect example of of talent and
time to write up the the huge
2:26:44
boots on the ground report.
There's many people who
2:26:46
contribute to the show in it
really enormous. I mean, we
2:26:52
can't even count how many people
do things to really help produce
2:26:56
and make this the best podcast
in the universe. And it's it's
2:27:00
even the guy who's the guy is
it? Is it Pate, who posts on
2:27:04
LinkedIn. Every single show he
posts on LinkedIn under the no
2:27:08
agenda account, which I guess I
guess he just registered no
2:27:11
agenda on LinkedIn. Yeah. Yeah.
And he posted his great, you
2:27:14
know, that's very helpful.
There's people who follow it
2:27:17
over there. Yeah. Yeah. So we
love stuff like this. You can
2:27:22
also make big clips, you know
that you're a lot of people like
2:27:25
Dave Ackerman doesn't make
clips. But he sends me 15 links,
2:27:30
at least daily of short little
news clips on on YouTube, then,
2:27:34
and I use very few of them,
really. But it keeps me up to
2:27:38
speed with the international
news. They're all short. And
2:27:41
that's that's a huge help. These
things really help. There's a
2:27:44
guy who sends me C span stuff of
callers who are getting weird
2:27:48
callers. When you have these
people to win your life. I'm
2:27:51
sure this is this is incredible.
This is incredibly helpful. And
2:27:54
that's what producers really do.
And never never hesitate to send
2:27:59
thing. Oh, oh, they probably
already seen it. No, no, no, you
2:28:02
don't know that. They usually
when you think that we haven't
2:28:04
seen it. So never hesitate.
john@devora.org Adam mccurry.com
2:28:09
Whoo. And of course, we love to
thank our artists who bring us
2:28:12
artwork, many pieces to choose
from, at the end of each live
2:28:17
recording, we go to no agenda
art generator.com Right after
2:28:21
we've done the credits, and we
select something from the from
2:28:25
the vast, vast uploads, which
sometimes it's 30 or 40 pieces.
2:28:31
It's really quite quite, quite
amazing. And we discussed,
2:28:36
John C Dvorak: I'm not gonna say
well continue, but please this
2:28:40
piece. I want to go back an
extra show to 1609. Okay, we had
2:28:45
the gobbling AI monster in the
winter. Yes. Well, at the bottom
2:28:50
of that that collection, you'll
find a piece by capitalist
2:28:54
agenda called Rock 1609. Well,
where is the artist looking at a
2:28:58
screen and drawing a turkey?
Yes. And I think at the time I
2:29:03
was under the impression that
when the AI generated turns out
2:29:06
it wasn't no because he posted
the actual creation of that art
2:29:12
on no no agenda social and great
rule the whole thing from
2:29:15
scratch as any showed
2:29:17
Adam Curry: how he did it in
real time. Yeah, as he had a
2:29:20
screen capture and how do you
feel about this now that you
2:29:22
accused him falsely? Well, I
didn't. You kind of did. Yeah,
2:29:27
you're gonna get shipped in
jail.
2:29:29
John C Dvorak: I probably did. I
mean, the piece we picked was
2:29:32
good. But this is a capitalist
agenda. I went back and looked
2:29:37
at his art I gave him a for the
newsletter. I use one of his
2:29:40
pieces. I'm probably use a few
more because he's done a lot of
2:29:42
stuff. In the end. He's doing
everything from scratch. It
2:29:45
looks like to me and he's one of
the really and he's good. He's
2:29:49
like really good.
2:29:52
Adam Curry: But it just didn't
hit us the way we usually liked
2:29:55
his choose something for
Thanksgiving. Yeah,
2:29:57
John C Dvorak: sometimes it's
definitely not What we're
2:30:00
looking for but I'm just saying
capitalist agenda as an as a, as
2:30:05
an artist is not just telling
the AI to crank something out
2:30:08
like in today's art we see a
bunch of it
2:30:10
Adam Curry: has been very
demoralizing for him to hoard to
2:30:13
hear that well,
2:30:16
John C Dvorak: or not. I mean,
because if you didn't do that
2:30:20
much work over just quickly, is
pretty astonishing. And it would
2:30:25
be you know, as long as I think
we're relying on a compliment to
2:30:29
say it looks like it was
2:30:30
Adam Curry: yeah, the guy's the
guy is clearly illustrative
2:30:33
Jean, you know, he is a is top
notch mastermind. Yes,
2:30:37
mastermind.
2:30:39
John C Dvorak: So I want to
apologize to a capitalist
2:30:41
agenda. Oh,
2:30:42
Adam Curry: there you go. Well,
we apologize, the capitalist
2:30:46
agenda, and we simultaneously
thank Francisco Scaramanga who
2:30:52
brought us the artwork for
episode 610. That was our
2:30:56
Thanksgiving Day episode. Titled
P doom. Thank you, Sam. Altman.
2:31:01
No thank you. Twitch CEO douche
techno douche. This was by far
2:31:07
our favorite Thanksgiving creepy
image.
2:31:10
John C Dvorak: Yeah, it was. I'm
guessing this was AI. It doesn't
2:31:14
matter. It doesn't matter. Yes.
It's great. He has a very the
2:31:18
subtlety of the creepiness,
especially the little girl
2:31:22
holding that dead, huge knife.
2:31:24
Adam Curry: And then the kid
with breast man on his
2:31:28
John C Dvorak: breast ban on his
chest apron. It was it was hard
2:31:33
to beat.
2:31:35
Adam Curry: It looks very, very
disturbed. The turkey is alive
2:31:39
and not happy.
2:31:41
John C Dvorak: So that would
that piece was that's, to me is
2:31:44
a classic kind of image that we
get a kick out of. It was there
2:31:49
was good. There's a lot of other
good pieces. There's no doubt we
2:31:51
could have picked any of maybe
five to 10 pieces. Or some of
2:31:55
the ones that are really super
AI looking like pickles
2:31:59
surprises. Up above that me
Let's eat grandma. Or let's eat
2:32:07
grandma. Or let's eat grandma.
2:32:09
Adam Curry: I mean, the the
Clippy stuff was good, but you
2:32:12
should know that. This
Thanksgiving we're going to do
2:32:17
we're going to pick a turkey
thing we're going to pick a
2:32:19
turkey image of Thanksgiving is
2:32:21
John C Dvorak: that is that a
turkey comic strip blogger
2:32:25
managed to get a turkey to hug
Clippy. Yeah, that was it was
2:32:29
cute mollify. It
2:32:30
Adam Curry: was cute. Yeah, it
was cute.
2:32:32
John C Dvorak: But it wasn't
like you know did little girl a
2:32:37
little boy wins. Yeah, it
2:32:39
Adam Curry: was just the
creepiest of all creepy. We
2:32:42
didn't talk about it kinda like
the the roach giving. That was a
2:32:45
good AI image. The family
sitting around a roach.
2:32:49
John C Dvorak: Was that on the
low? That one? Oh, my God is
2:32:52
disgusting. See, I
2:32:53
Adam Curry: don't have to bring
that up. Hey, Bobby, bugs giving
2:32:56
by the way y'all can stop with
the Ukraine, Israel flags and
2:33:01
all that stuff. We're not gonna
use it and we're not using them.
2:33:05
Was there anything else? No, no,
there was just there was other
2:33:13
good stuff. But now let's
2:33:14
John C Dvorak: add capitalist
agendas. Turkey parade was good.
2:33:17
By the way. Taunton?
2:33:19
Adam Curry: Neil. That's a very
accurate prediction or depiction
2:33:23
of the spec cook that I know
she's Dutch, right. That's the
2:33:28
the 1000 layers. It turns out,
it's about 30 layers, because I
2:33:32
did take it to the Thanksgiving
dinner and said that I believe
2:33:35
John C Dvorak: your bogus story.
The other cake actually
2:33:37
Adam Curry: came back. You came
back? Well, it wasn't eaten
2:33:42
entirely. And the the
international arms dealers wife
2:33:48
dropped off the rest of the cake
yesterday. Here's the rest of
2:33:52
your cake. It didn't all get
eaten. I'm sure you want. It
2:33:54
wasn't
2:33:55
John C Dvorak: any good. There
was good. It was
2:33:57
Adam Curry: no, it was good. But
there was a lot of other
2:33:59
desserts too.
2:34:01
John C Dvorak: You are competing
into dessert category. I
2:34:04
Adam Curry: didn't realize I was
competing in the dessert
2:34:05
category. And there were some
very, very, very tasty stuff.
2:34:11
But I think it was probably
stovetop stuffing. I have a nose
2:34:16
for these things. Yeah, pond
office homemade. Anyway, we
2:34:22
thank San Francisco Scaramanga
very much for his artwork, and
2:34:26
of course, all of the artists
who clearly they're all putting
2:34:30
in work one way or the other.
And we appreciate it's great. I
2:34:33
mean, what a luxury to be able
to choose from, I mean, how many
2:34:36
do we have today? Looks like we
got another 20 to select from
2:34:39
today. It's that that is a
luxurious position to be in
2:34:43
Thank you. Makes a big
difference to the show. It gets
2:34:46
people hyped up interested,
reminds them to listen, it
2:34:50
brings in new people. It's just
overall a wonderful service you
2:34:53
provide. Now we'd like to thank
the people who brought the
2:34:56
treasure to the show. Our
executive and Associate

2:36:45
John C Dvorak: night before I
read this semi sad note from Sir
2:36:49
John Arnold the fire bottles. I
want to mention an interesting
2:36:52
situation that occurred which is
a donor who wanted a Ph. D as a
2:36:57
gift I think it for her son or
somebody and but once to give it
2:37:04
to him on Christmas. Oh, as a
surprise to were holding back
2:37:10
the mention of the donation. And
putting it aside Jay says she'll
2:37:15
be able to do this, which is
2:37:17
Adam Curry: just classic no
agenda risk is
2:37:21
John C Dvorak: with us but not
necessarily with her. So she's
2:37:25
gonna put it aside and it'll get
mentioned on the Christmas show
2:37:28
but it will be a PhD that will
go out sent to her that she can
2:37:32
package up and give as a gift
for Christmas. If anybody wants
2:37:35
to do that you have to Allah
Wednesday.
2:37:38
Adam Curry: Yes, that will be
the 330/3 day of the year the
2:37:41
the PhDs end school is no longer
in session. But
2:37:46
John C Dvorak: I thought that
was a cute idea. But we had
2:37:48
Derek Jeter off this list,
2:37:50
Adam Curry: and then we can't
we're not going to do this for
2:37:53
knighthoods and other things.
This is a special special
2:37:56
special special, right? Yes,
2:37:58
John C Dvorak: please. We don't
want to start doing this
2:38:01
routinely. Just but for this
Christmas, we'll do it for the
2:38:07
PhDs only. Yes. So now we have

niece Kristen is an avid
2:39:04
listener to no agenda. How about
that? But it's not yet donated
2:39:09

situation to continue. Sure, Sir

2:39:52
John C Dvorak: I have no idea

2:39:57
Adam Curry: you say and ology
what is in line making? It Whoa,
2:40:01
you should be talking to him.
Really probably. We're
2:40:03
John C Dvorak: gonna one of the
big boys in Australia. They get
2:40:05

tons of Cabernet manufacturing.
2:40:08
Yes.
2:40:09
Adam Curry: It's all called
Skippy. Not only that, but my
2:40:15
one on one three donation is a
show club donation in dollar
2:40:19
redos. Ah, it's 1611 in
Australian Dollar redos. Okay,
2:40:27
man, he's taken license with
that mom. I'm gonna I'm not
2:40:30
gonna argue I'm gonna give it to
him. Come on. He said he's a he
2:40:33
has a BS and ology. He's a wine
guy. This donation makes me a
2:40:38
baron. And as such if it
pleases, pleases the peerage
2:40:41
committee.
2:40:42
John C Dvorak: So you know, I
think what he gave donated 1611
2:40:45
Yes, he donated 1611 Correct.
Yeah, to get to 1000.
2:40:49
Adam Curry: We love that. Yeah.
Great. So that also counts for a
2:40:54
show number donation? Oh, yes,
absolutely. Which is a separate
2:40:58
credit. This donation makes me a
baron and as such if it pleases
2:41:01
the peerage committee I request
to change from Sir Mike
2:41:03
Blacknight. To surplus keeper of
the Federal Reserve.
2:41:08

2:41:24

2:41:26
John C Dvorak: So then we have
Dred Scott who comes in with one
2:41:29
donation. I'm hoping to get
hands on someone with that sweet
2:41:32
PhD action. I work at a company
with many people who have PhDs
2:41:36
after their name. I'm wondering
if I get accused of Stolen Valor
2:41:39
if I start putting PhD after my
name and my email, you know,
2:41:42
anyone can just do that. Yeah,
that's not stolen. States there
2:41:46
are certain you have to look at
your state laws. No,
2:41:49
Adam Curry: I love how you had
looked that up. By look that up.
2:41:53
You cannot do that. If it's an
educational institution. Which
2:41:58
we're not I'm sorry. In certain
states, you can't do that. But
2:42:02
it only counts if you're doing
it from an educator from a bogus
2:42:06
educational institution. We're
not an educational institution.
2:42:09
This
2:42:09
John C Dvorak: podcast no
2:42:10
Adam Curry: we're not bogus.
2:42:12
John C Dvorak: Oh no, We're real
sorry. Anyway, we're pros. Pros
2:42:19
so yeah, you have to look it up
and see what you can do it but
2:42:22
yeah, if you're not yes did
change it's varies from state to
2:42:26
state laws that govern use of
the PhD as doctor you know, when
2:42:31
you're in Brazil I get it used
to be a famous in Brazil. And
2:42:35
I'd give a lot of speeches down
there and they'd always
2:42:37

Adam Curry: Yes, you are
shipping it to Holland.
2:44:44
John C Dvorak: To really okay,
well, you got to track it
2:44:47
because the these overseas
shipments of anything get lost

stolen. I'm not only working 33

I can call myself out Doctor in

been with me for a very long
2:45:49

way of thinking I wanted to chip
2:45:53

protracted period of
2:45:56

advantage of the Ph. D program.

2:46:42
John C Dvorak: terrible dumb.
Because it's totally

nearly 400 episodes with the
2:49:14

think I'm ready with my
2:49:17
preferred field of study media
deconstruction this donation
2:49:20
actually gets me to bare net

2:49:23

2:49:27

were both Ron ammos. Following
2:50:10
Adam's first Joe Rogan
experience appearance, I was
2:50:13
very impressed with their
presentation, the personal
2:50:16
attention, and the product
launch he offers at this point,
2:50:19
I'm just wow, this is good. At
this point, I'm just questioning
2:50:23
whether I'm actually executive
material, I'm dubious.
2:50:26
Nevertheless, I was very
impressed by what she had to
2:50:28
offer at image makers inc.com.
For all your executive resume
2:50:34

2:53:41
was one of a cluster of signs
for from God for us to do so
2:53:47
now. My amazing lady and I are
both divorced. She has had an
2:53:50
awesome kid, kids and I had none
a few years back we met
2:53:54

love. She's in Washington yep
mountain just mountains there
2:54:01
and quickly fell in love yet
gave up on the prospect of her
2:54:04
own child due to our ages. This
past week has brought us a
2:54:07
series of unmistakable signs to
give hope and encouragement to
2:54:12
the prospect of her own child
and no agenda talking about
2:54:15
pulling the goalie was one of
the signs as we both heard the

Yes, that was my mistake. I

most in their lives is going to
no agenda meet up. The people
3:05:29
that no agenda together stay
together, you may meet a future
3:05:33
mate. Through the show so many
you never knew that it was
3:05:36
listening to Jay urine. I had
never worked. I didn't realize
3:05:38
you were really incredible. You
can mess up and a few times.
3:05:42
It's certainly happened a few
times. And I think this happened
3:05:45
more times than we even know
people have mentioned it to us.
3:05:47
So next time you're sending in a
note, let us know if that
3:05:50
happened. Before we list the
upcoming meetups. Here's a

Hey, what are you drinking?
3:06:13
Adam Curry: It's It's
refreshing. It's good. It's
3:06:16

right. We got comedians. Let's
3:06:22
see how Fort Wayne did for their
meetup requirement.

John, what
3:06:47
are you drinking? Hello, this is
de Maria. And this is Sir mark
3:06:51
up the Fort Wayne meetup. And we
had a great time shooting and
3:06:55
eating and deconstructing
everything we could find. Oh,
3:06:58
this
3:06:58
is Mike with the Fort Wayne
group have no agenda and the
3:07:01
Indy group has made peace with
us and come and ate dinner and
3:07:05
had a great time tonight. I've
checked all their browser
3:07:07
history and I can officially say
there are no spooks here.
3:07:10
Adam Curry: I love that, you
know, people who are if you ever
3:07:14
wonder what it's like to shoot a
gun, find one of these meetups
3:07:16
where they where they go shoot
stuff. It's a great way for you
3:07:20
because you know it's always
intimidating. You go to a range
3:07:23
again, and I don't know what I'm
doing.
3:07:26
John C Dvorak: I have a note for
this sort of thing. Generally
3:07:30
speaking, if you find someone
that has a lot of guns that
3:07:33
collected and you go shooting
with them, they like nothing
3:07:36
more than you shooting their
guns and their ammo and their
3:07:41
ammo so you can share the
experience of oh, what do you
3:07:43
think of the way that Ppk shot?
Left
3:07:50
Adam Curry: the best. The best
is to do it with the Baron
3:07:53
Scott's reloads. That's the best
click Oh. Is reload sometimes
3:08:00
they don't go.
3:08:01
John C Dvorak: Well. I'd like to
go shooting black powder with
3:08:04
someone.
3:08:05
Adam Curry: We had one of those
at one of the no agenda, shoot
3:08:08
meetups and I think they got
kicked off the range no black
3:08:11
powder allowed. So but that's
too bad. Now we didn't go back
3:08:15
to that range. Don't worry. We
don't look we don't we don't we
3:08:19
that's not how we roll man. Hey,
there's a meetup coming up on
3:08:23
the 30th this Thursday is the
Mile High meet up 630 at
3:08:26
Lincoln's Roadhouse in Denver,
Colorado and also on Thursday in
3:08:30
Tilburg. The Netherlands is the
one week after another
3:08:34
Parliament election in the
Netherlands, eight o'clock and
3:08:37
beer Cafe Kandinsky until birth
and I've been there for some
3:08:41
reason in Tilburg, the
Netherlands. That should be a
3:08:45
lot of fun and I expect a good
report and do the report before
3:08:48
you before you're all stoned.
Will you just tighten it up a
3:08:52
little bit because this they're
always so hammered. But they
3:08:55
have a lot of fun. In the month
of December, St. Gabriel,

Oh my god. It's cute. Oh, did
you say that like you like you

it
3:11:30
John C Dvorak: didn't go to

fact, was so hard to find that
3:11:52
this is a story I got from
Wichita, Kansas. But it's not
3:11:56
about Kansas moving. It's about
something in North Carolina. But
3:12:01
it's a great news story. But by
the way, it's an ABC affiliate

3:13:29
are going to get on a train and
spend the night on the train
3:13:33
while it drags you down to
Florida and you're going to go
3:13:35
to this wish
3:13:37
grant.
3:13:38
It's overwhelming and really,
really happy and cry. Just to
3:13:43
get this to this point, little
Everett
3:13:45
was diagnosed with leukemia in
December 2010. Fighting in a big
3:13:50
way for celebrating
3:13:51
his his strength and his courage
and his endurance. Everything
3:13:54
that he's been
3:13:55
through right this last
treatment was in February of
3:13:57
this year.
3:13:58
I have been waiting for this
point just because I think it's
3:14:01
a good way to close a chapter on
like a very horrible part of our
3:14:04
life. But it's also ending very
well
3:14:06
the foundation working every day
to grant the wishes of children
3:14:10
with a life threatening illness,
or wishes really
3:14:13
a break. It is a moment in time
for the family to just be
3:14:16
together. It gives them an
opportunity to kind of forget
3:14:19
some of the struggles that
they've been dealing with. It
3:14:21
inspires children to dream and
to think big and before
3:14:25
Everett heads out to the
happiest place on earth and
3:14:28
learning a lesson on the silver
screen. That no whiz is ever too
3:14:33
big to drink. A good news story
from JCD happy vibes for you and
3:14:42
me and we all feel better now
he's done his bit. To back to
3:14:48
reality. That's turning to shit.
3:14:51
Adam Curry: I don't know man
that sounded more like a native
3:14:53
ad than anything.
3:14:55
John C Dvorak: I yeah, I was not
happy with that.
3:14:58
Adam Curry: No one was happy
with that presentation. Should
3:15:03
Oh, well, sorry. It's hard. It's
finding good news is hard.
3:15:07
John C Dvorak: It's hard. It
turns out to be yes.
3:15:10
Adam Curry: Well, good news is

Unknown: the CDC estimates there
have already been 1.6 million
3:16:21
flu cases RSV infections are
also on the rise impacting kids
3:16:25
under the age of four and
COVID-19 still a concern for a
3:16:28
lot of families but only about
15% of adults have received that
3:16:31
updated shot. This is the CDC
new director Dr. Mandy Cohen
3:16:37
remember COVID The three reasons
to get vaccinated one the virus
3:16:41
has changed every science and
third people are still getting
3:16:46
long home as well. They get in
the NA wotso role you know Wait
3:16:57
CQ 1.6 million flu cases is just
another flu RSV
3:17:03
infections are also on the right

3:17:07

3:17:20

3:17:50
third people are still getting

3:17:54

3:18:07

3:18:21
directing the Director of

3:18:30
In our public schools,
ultimately what it is, is it's
3:18:33
about machine learning. This
will teach students and even
3:18:36
teachers to help understand how
to spot conspiracy theories and
3:18:41
misinformation disinformation in
online heads. So the machine is
3:18:46
taught to start talking about
what we're seeing. And part of
3:18:49
the issue here is what
information is going into the
3:18:53
machine. What then, will be
produced in terms of decisions
3:18:58
and opinions that may be made
through that process that the
3:19:02
teachers the tools they need to
help these conversations in
3:19:05
school we understand the
technology. We know what is
3:19:09
going into my teaching younger
New Yorkers about how to discern
3:19:14
between digital facts and
digital fiction. We can better
3:19:18
inoculate them from hatred and
the spread of and prepare them
3:19:24
for a very fast moving and
confusing world best interest of
3:19:28
the health and safety and well
being of the people of our
3:19:31
country. Who
3:19:32
was telling the truth. What was
the
3:19:34
reality? grasped the country
3:19:37
the lasagna of lousy.
3:19:39
You know what you did? You like
beer? A kind of a wind up to the
3:19:43
F word. Kind of
3:19:46
every story. There's no
Praesidium America has a Trump
3:19:50
hotel and both parties are in
danger. Danger of winning.
3:19:55
But it can be worse. You can
actually kill somebody's kid and
3:19:59
play further tires to get them
to shut up.
3:20:02
I had one.
3:20:04
Technology is the big question
whether or not it is making
3:20:07
people happy lies, smears was
merged with the character
3:20:11
assassination and frankly the
bludgeoning of diversionary
3:20:15
blame the other person tactics
himself who was telling the
3:20:20
truth. Yes. What was the
reality? Look what they found.
3:20:23
I had one beer because we've got
facts and then we've got
3:20:27
feelings. There was one beer,
one
3:20:29
beer. All right and woofing is
not flatulence. You know what
3:20:33
you do?
