your award winning give a nation
0:09
media assassination episode 1627
This is no agenda not buying
0:15
into the clips and broadcasting
live from the heartland country
0:19
here and FEMA Region number six
in the morning everybody. I'm
0:23
Adam curry,
0:23
John C Dvorak: different weather
Silicon Valley where everybody's
0:26
saying Go Niners including me.
I'm John C. Dvorak.
0:30
Adam Curry: Buzzkill. Yeah,
yeah, the Texans were a tragedy.
0:35
It really sucked. I can't
believe those guys. I mean, they
0:38
used to when they were the
Oilers, they were still good.
0:44
I'm just doing some sports ball
with you.
0:47
John C Dvorak: I watched the
Niners didn't play them. So I
0:49
know. I know.
0:50
Adam Curry: I know. I know. You
say Go Niners. And I would I
0:53
would have liked to have said
when they were 1010 Like, oh,
0:57
yeah, the Texans are going to
win. Everyone knows they're not
0:59
going to win. But for a moment
there we all thought it we were
1:01
all rooting for him.
1:04
John C Dvorak: Okay, where that
tent where the Texans are from,
1:07
Adam Curry: from Houston. Was
chicken, would you please and it
1:12
used to have the Oilers and then
the the owner of the team was
1:15
like give me the stadiums and
noon are gonna go to the stadium
1:17
and then he left to go to
Baltimore.
1:24
John C Dvorak: Maybe so the
Baltimore team still won. So
1:28
Texas still wants to in a way
Yeah, it was a no lose situation
1:32
Adam Curry: couldn't lose. I was
so hoping I was so hoping that
1:38
that they would win because then
I would have something to say.
1:41
But no, no cowboys. No good
Texans. No good. It's too cold.
1:45
That's why it's too cold for us.
We don't we don't know how to
1:48
play in the cold. We're no good.
I guess.
1:53
John C Dvorak: What about that
Austin football team?
1:58
Adam Curry: The Longhorns? I
don't know. How are they doing?
2:00
I have not checked. They were
they? I don't know. I don't
2:05
know. I don't know. I don't
know. I don't know. It's
2:08
John C Dvorak: funny. What you
don't know is amusing to people
2:12
who know.
2:13
Adam Curry: Yeah, if you know
you know if you don't know then
2:15
you know that. I don't know.
Yeah. But you know, I just
2:20
thought it impress you with some
sports ball. sports ball. Yeah,
2:22
John C Dvorak: you did. You
impressed me?
2:24
Adam Curry: Okay, good. That's
what I was going for. Let me get
2:28
to something that I'm actually
good at. Hello, everybody.
2:30
Hello, trolls. I have a quick
Davos. Oh, by the way, you got
2:34
an official pronunciation. One
second. Thomas says Hi Adam. I
2:40
grew up in Switzerland to move
to get mo about 15 years ago I
2:43
visited Davos numerous times. I
don't know where you got your
2:49
pronounciation from but the s in
Davos is never silent. It's
2:52
Davos precise. We Swiss people
pronounce it the oh a bit more
2:58
like Davos. Try it your mind
like it. He says okay, Davos,
3:02
Davos, it
3:04
John C Dvorak: where'd you get
that idea was pronounced Davao
3:06
be the I've
3:07
Adam Curry: that's how I don't
know. I made it up. And you
3:09
know, it came from my own
sportsball knowledge, you know,
3:12
the Davos. Do comes. So we had
an interesting forum at the, at
3:23
the World Economic Forum, a
little one of those little sub
3:25
things, actually, I thought was
over. No, no, no, no, I think it
3:28
ends today. So this is, you
know, wrapping up my coverage, I
3:33
might still have something on
Thursday, you never know. You'll
3:37
have plenty something crazy
could happen. It's at a right at
3:39
the right at the end of the week
here. This was defending the
3:43
truth. As you know, the theme of
this year's Davos is rebuilding
3:48
trust, because no one trusts
them, and not an ember votaries.
3:52
And most people just think
they're douchebags, and they
3:55
kind of are in fact they mostly
are.
3:58
John C Dvorak: And before you go
on, wait, wait. I'm gonna wait.
4:01
Sure. There are so many people
that not only trust them, they
4:07
think are the greatest thing
since sliced bread. Most of you
4:11
notice this.
4:12
Adam Curry: Yes. In fact, a
friend of mine, I have a clip
4:14
from her in a minute. A friend
of mine was there and it was
4:17
kind of disappointing.
4:20
John C Dvorak: It's very
disappointing that people can't
4:23
see through this. Well,
4:25
Adam Curry: I don't know if I
think I think you know, now that
4:28
we're in the season of reveal, I
think people are starting to
4:31
catch on slowly. I don't think
anyone's actually going. Wow,
4:35
those guys are great. And I'm
telling you, unless you're a
4:38
journalist and you've got
credentials, those are the guys
4:41
who think it's great because
they want to do the caviar bumps
4:44
with everybody. Hey, good. Can I
come to the party? Well, there's
4:47
an element of that is Lenny
Kravitz playing again this year.
4:50
Reed Hoffman, Reed Hoffman and
he did a party last year with
4:54
Lenny Kravitz. Yeah.
4:57
John C Dvorak: They're living it
up. don't feel good about then
5:01
going out and ski and drunk.
Like it. Is that true?
5:07
Adam Curry: Skate just as Sonny
Bono is great. All right, so
5:11
this was from the defending the
truth conversation combo. This
5:17
is Emma Tucker. I had not heard
of Emma Tucker. But apparently
5:22
Emma Tucker is the editor in
chief of The Wall Street
5:25
Journal. Now, the Wall Street
Journal is a is that still a
5:29
Murdoch publication? Or did he
sell? I
5:32
John C Dvorak: pretty much
believe it is? Yeah, well,
5:36
Adam Curry: it was really
interesting because she
5:39
understands that the news is no
longer matters, really. But she
5:44
took it to a level and said the
quiet part out loud, which was
5:47
just astounding,
5:49
Unknown: when there's a big, big
news event, a big world event,
5:52
people still come to the legacy
brands, we still have a lot of
5:55
trust. But I think you only have
to go back. I think I think we
5:58
have to maintain that trust. And
we have to work at maintaining
6:02
it in a way that we didn't have
to do not so long ago. So if you
6:06
go back really not not that long
ago, as I say, we kind of we
6:10
owned the news. We were the
gatekeepers, and we very much
6:13
own the facts as well in the
Wall Street Journal, the New
6:16
York Times, then that was a
fact. Nowadays, people can go to
6:20
all sorts of different sources
for the news, and they're much
6:23
more questioning about what
we're saying. We
6:26
Adam Curry: own the news. We
were the gatekeepers, we own the
6:29
fact
6:30
John C Dvorak: we own the facts.
That's a kicker. Isn't that?
6:34
Adam Curry: I mean, does she
have no self knowledge? Does she
6:38
know? Well,
6:38
John C Dvorak: it was it was a
given in the form of a
6:41
lamentation Oh, there's
6:43
Adam Curry: there's your
favorite word again. That's a
6:45
good word but but even to lament
the fact that you were once the
6:49
gatekeeper that you owned the
facts is just on its face.
6:53
Pathetic?
6:56
John C Dvorak: I don't know. I
think it's more hubris and
6:59
arrogant and patronizing and,
and just shitty. The fact that
7:04
you say something like that is
just beyond arrogance. Yeah, we
7:11
own the facts. It's a shame now
that those podcasters and
7:15
alternative blogs bring out
interesting information that it
7:21
denies us our once great and the
worst,
7:24
Adam Curry: this sub stackers
can't believe those guys, sub
7:29
John C Dvorak: staggers subsidy
don't even get paid half of
7:32
them, except
7:33
Adam Curry: the ones on locals
rumble and the Rumblers. And
7:42
then we bring in ver ping
commission. And don't worry
7:46
about about the Wall Street
Journal not owning the facts,
7:49
because she won't give you the
facts.
7:52
Unknown: This information is a
security threat. And maybe not
7:57
many noticed, but it was part of
the Russian military doctrine,
8:01
that they will start information
war and we are in it now. And
8:04
disinformation is a very
powerful tool. So we think about
8:08
it in the EU, we are focusing on
improving of the system where
8:15
the people will get the facts
right. It does speak about
8:21
opinions. We are not correcting
anyone's opinions or language.
8:26
Yeah, this is about the facts.
8:28
Adam Curry: We will give you the
facts, don't you very the facts
8:33
will come from us. That's a
politician is not even a news
8:38
person. It's just a politician.
Well unelected, I might add, but
8:43
not perfect. Now comes a
disappointing one.
8:46
John C Dvorak: My friend these
two were disappointed
8:50
Adam Curry: they're not my
friends. There was a another
8:54
forum on financial inclusion.
And my friend, the Queen of the
9:02
Netherlands Queen Moxie Ma. You
remember the one who hair
9:05
flipped me? Do you remember she
carefully I don't
9:09
John C Dvorak: remember where I
gave you where you are. You
9:11
don't remember review?
9:13
Adam Curry: Don't you remember I
was invited to lunch with the
9:15
King and the Queen of the
Netherlands. I
9:17
John C Dvorak: do that. That was
yes. And then afterwards we were
9:20
having that was during the show
by the way. Yes,
9:23
Adam Curry: we Yes. I wouldn't
be not doing recently. Yes, it's
9:27
a couple of years back and and
then you know ever wanted to get
9:32
going downstairs for the big
picture and we're still
9:34
upstairs. She's telling about
her friend, Ivanka Trump and how
9:38
she loves New York and she Hair
flip me and boba. Most of them
9:42
now she's part of the financial
inclusion team of elites. And
9:48
and I don't think she's a bad
person because she has been
9:54
trying to get the Dutch schools
to teach children how to balance
9:59
a checkbook. Although they don't
have that, that concept in the
10:03
Netherlands, check, exactly.
They want to say, man, well,
10:08
there's a checkbook, we don't
have debt. Anyway, so she was
10:12
talking about the financial
inclusion. And in order to be
10:16
included in finance, you need a
digital ID, such
10:22
Unknown: as education, either
sort of education stipends that
10:24
actually to be considered. So
the Minister of Interior,
10:27
because you need to have an ID
to open an account. So this
10:31
notion of actually getting sort
of a coordination among
10:35
ministries are actually really
advanced the issues. Why because
10:39
in order to open an account, you
need to have an outline. And I
10:43
have to say that when we when I
started this job, they were
10:46
actually very little countries
in Africa or Latin America that
10:49
had one cubic meters, type of
ID, and certainly that it was
10:54
digital. And certainly, that was
biometric. And now, we've really
10:58
worked with all our partners to
actually help that team to grow
11:02
this. And the interesting part
of it is that, you know, yes, it
11:06
is very necessary for financial
services. But not only So now,
11:10
it's also good for school
enrollment is also good for
11:14
health who actually go to
vaccination or not, it's very
11:18
good to actually to get your
subsidies you know, from the
11:20
government. So, this has not
only affected the Financial
11:24
Services is a very important
issue. So, the digitalization
11:28
has played, of course, a very
important role. It has basically
11:32
brought the first two things
increase affordability by
11:38
reducing the costs, and also the
easiness you know, now you have
11:42
your bank branch, basically in
the palm of your hand.
11:46
Adam Curry: Oh, maximum maximum
maximum. Well, she talking about
11:50
Africa. Well, there were some
Africans there on the panel
11:54
she's talking about everyone in
the world needs to have a
11:57
digital ID and she they maintain
this database at the at the
12:02
World Bank. And now they she
claims that 8480 or 85% of all
12:08
people in the world have a bank
account but this night we need a
12:10
digital ID because then you
know, you can see if you've had
12:14
a vaccine or not. Yes,
12:16
John C Dvorak: what sounded like
that's what it that's exactly
12:18
what it was.
12:20
Adam Curry: And it's great
because then you have your bank
12:22
account in the palm of your
hand, which means you got to
12:24
have a tracking phone. He's got
to track you.
12:29
John C Dvorak: I guess I'm out.
12:31
Adam Curry: You know, I actually
had a clip for you now that you
12:35
bring that up. Would you like
$10,000
12:39
John C Dvorak: Yeah,
12:40
Unknown: how long can you go
phone free one company is
12:44
willing to pay people $10,000 To
do a digital detox no phone at
12:50
all for an entire month. ciggies
Wiley, which makes Icelandic
12:55
style yogurt says it's nice to
live a simpler life with less
13:00
distractions and as we all know
many of those distractions phone
13:05
now in addition to the cash
other prizes include three
13:08
months worth of ciggies yogurt
is a one month prepaid card and
13:13
approximately inappropriately
enough a smartphone lockbox, the
13:18
company plans to award 10
winners for those willing to put
13:21
down the phone more information
is on ciggies website. Dude, you
13:26
John C Dvorak: got this? You got
good. I'm 13 months in.
13:31
Adam Curry: You got you should
be an honorary winner. You
13:33
should get a lifetime supply of
Ziggy's
13:35
John C Dvorak: yogurt. But when
she gives us a decent product,
13:39
it's not a bad product. Well, I
say Icelandic that type of
13:42
yogurt is drained. Oh, here we
go. It has a slightly different
13:47
texture than most your like a
Greek yogurt, for example. It's
13:50
not like that is different. It's
they they hire like dry.
13:55
Adam Curry: They hire Syrians I
think exclusively is not then
13:59
they have a big thing like we're
hired to know about Yeah, when
14:02
there was B when they had Syrian
refugees, like we're hiring
14:05
Syrians, Syrians for ciggies I
have
14:11
John C Dvorak: a feeling at the
website somebody sent me the
14:13
website I'm gonna join this
thing secrets.com secrets.com
14:17
Adam Curry: CDs? Yeah, I think
you shouldn't just join you
14:21
should be 13 months in I agree.
You should win a lifetime supply
14:26
of CDs $10,000 and a phone
lockbox. You're a shoo in
14:31
John C Dvorak: your knees like
yours. Good enough that I'll
14:34
take the lightbox. So
14:35
Adam Curry: then this clip,
which blows me away how many
14:39
people and we have very smart
producers. I love all of you.
14:42
But it's amazing. Yes, I love
every single. Yes, I do.
14:47
John C Dvorak: So we're the ones
that I've quit. You know have I?
14:51
Yes, I love
14:54
Adam Curry: of course I love
them. I forgive them and I love
14:58
them. No problem. Not all. But
I'm always astounded. And this
15:05
may be comes into your own AI
conversation. And this, by the
15:11
way has nothing to do with AI.
This is just good editing and
15:13
some and some super imposing how
people will send me this clip
15:18
and say, This guy is great. He
really showed him he really told
15:23
Klaus he didn't F word
forthcoming. He really showed
15:27
this is great. Put this in your
Davos report. It's fantastic
15:30
Unknown: trust has been closing
15:33
John C Dvorak: before. Wait,
wait, wait, play this one. What
15:35
are you telling me that people
actually took this clip? Several
15:40
people took notice that I don't
even have this clip that well,
15:43
Adam Curry: this is why I'm
bringing you this clip. It's
15:45
important
15:46
Unknown: trust has been eroding
in recent years, which is why
15:52
this week's meeting on
rebuilding trust has been so
15:56
important
15:57
rebuilding trust with whom
exactly I'm sorry, I'm gonna let
15:59
you finish. But here's the
thing, as far as the public
16:02
opinion is concerned, they don't
trust you. And they never will,
16:05
because they didn't elect you.
And here's the thing why we
16:08
added Epstein didn't kill
himself. And there are probably
16:12
people in this very forum who
were clients. You mentioned
16:15
the biggest threat to a cohesive
and sustainable world loss
16:21
security.
16:22
Mr. Schwab. I'm sorry, but the
biggest threat to the world is
16:25
the fake extreme news media. And
the second biggest threat to the
16:28
world is this very organization,
the World Economic Forum, which
16:32
is the communist party that was
not elected by the people. And
16:35
that's why I keep telling ya,
y'all should go fuck this up.
16:38
And I appreciate the World
Economic Forum providing me the
16:42
opportunity to be on this stage
and say, Fuck you, Klaus Schwab
16:46
and fucking the New World Order.
We the people were born free, we
16:50
will stay free and you and all
of your globalist friends,
16:53
including everyone in this room
can go fuck yourself.
16:58
Adam Curry: That sounds totally
legit.
17:01
John C Dvorak: I liked the fact
that they do the beep the bed
17:04
not over the F word but two
words. This is all stems from
17:11
the Elon Musk legitimate use of
the term with what's his name?
17:24
No, no, no. Elon Musk
17:26
Adam Curry: Oh with with the
Sorkin kid. Sorkin
17:30
John C Dvorak: Yeah. But so this
just kind of a spin off but the
17:34
fact that anyone would take this
seriously or even believe it
17:38
actually happened they got to
have their heads up their ass
17:42
Adam Curry: well there's okay so
there's something else which I
17:44
kind of left alone for at least
a month but people keep sending
17:49
me this with the same message
and it goes it's it's it's not
17:53
has nothing to do with anything
fake but it's how people's minds
17:56
get twisted all aboard trains
good planes bad. So this is the
18:06
argument between the air traffic
controller and an examiner who
18:11
wanted to make a certain
maneuver at an airport and this
18:14
has got I've now received this
15 times the most recent one
18:20
this morning and the
accompanying note kind of goes
18:23
like this this we're all going
to die d i This lady's no good I
18:28
can't believe that they've
they're hiring these people dei
18:32
is going to be the death of all
of us. Here's the here's the
18:37
Intro This is an examiner and
examiner who was doing a check
18:43
ride with a student pilot and I
think is this might even be a
18:50
someone who's already pilot
going for a multi rating or some
18:54
other certification and air
traffic controller
18:59
Unknown: traffic on the parallel
to traffic your pond inside out
19:01
how we create it we're looking
for that traffic to follow if we
19:08
could plan on the next one would
appreciate a request you traffic
19:15
that a half my funnel now. I
totally give him room he's a
19:20
full stop weightless.
19:22
Adam Curry: Okay, so the
examiner is saying hey, next
19:25
time we come around, we want to
do a short final. And the term
19:31
short final can mean a lot of
different things. You can be in
19:35
a 747 and be on short final that
could be you know, four miles
19:38
out. But what what went wrong
here is the examiner didn't
19:43
really say what he was doing. He
called for short final. What he
19:47
should have said was, hey, I'm
with someone who is doing that
19:51
check ride. I'm going to have
him do an engine off landing,
19:54
which means you're you're you're
very close to the runway, your
19:57
engine goes out you have to do
180 degree He's and land. It's
20:01
an emergency procedure. Instead
of him informing the She sounds
20:05
very knowledgeable. She sounds
tight on the mic. Instead of
20:10
informing her he's like, hey,
you know, we're just gonna do
20:12
short film on boba. This is very
typical examiner behavior. Maybe
20:16
I say maybe even, you know, hey
chicky, just do what I tell you.
20:20
And confusion ensued
20:24
Unknown: November 6, that's how
you should just turn to your
20:26
base, before you hit the
approach into the runway, you're
20:30
outside the airport traffic
area. We're on about a quarter
20:35
mile mile, our base? Yeah, you
should be inside the airport,
20:40
you should have certainty based
on the numbers. We can't do
20:43
that, and land on the 1000
voters. So that's what a short
20:46
approach is. Sorry, I guess, we
need to come up with something
20:51
different because in order to
complete a commercial check
20:53
ride, we got to do what's called
a power on one ad, well, then,
20:57
the power of being where you
want to touch down and land on
21:00
that point, and no more than two
or beyond. That's fine. But
21:04
don't ask for a short approach.
If you're gonna do a power up
21:06
one ad. That's my point. Well, I
will remember that from now on
21:10
no problem. When you ask for
shorter posts, I expect you to
21:13
turn you're basically in the
numbers.
21:15
Adam Curry: So I'm with her on
this t shirt of any commercial
21:19
check ride. So if that's someone
who's already an accomplished
21:21
pilot, and I was going for as
commercial or her commercial
21:24
life license, and he should have
just said, I'm doing an exam,
21:28
I'm going to do power power off
one ad. That's what he should
21:31
have said, and said he starts
arguing with her, and that this
21:35
is unprofessional on both their
case on both counts. They
21:39
shouldn't be arguing this on the
frequency. But here is the part
21:42
where people get the whole dei
thing from
21:45
Unknown: this wouldn't be a full
stop for six months, Charlie,
21:47
and maybe we need to talk about
that some more, because you're
21:50
the first controller 15 years?
Well, you know, if you ask for
21:56
short approach, approaches, when
you turn your base, I mean, the
22:00
numbers. I know you're a student
asking for a short approach. I
22:04
know you're out there practicing
and you probably will extend.
22:08
But if you're doing something
other than a short approach,
22:11
don't ask for a short approach.
Well, I will definitely look up
22:15
the definition of shorter
approach because I've never seen
22:17
where it says you turn based on
the numbers because I don't see
22:20
how you could possibly do that.
Actually, I Googled short
22:24
approach and it says your base
beam or before the numbers, and
22:28
you will land probably touchdown
the revenue sales
22:31
Adam Curry: to people lost their
crap. She's googling she doesn't
22:34
know what the AI is gonna kill
us all. Calm down, people. Calm
22:43
down. Yes, dei is a problem in
aviation. Absolutely. But this
22:49
was this app to defend this
traffic controller in this case,
22:52
she she was right. This guy was
douchey didn't say what he was
22:55
doing. So calm down. The kicker
is they're now dating.
23:08
Anyway, we had another fun now.
And I got to think at this
23:12
point, Boeing is in such deep
trouble. And now we have to
23:17
start looking at sabotage.
23:18
John C Dvorak: There's something
wrong going on going on with
23:21
Boeing. And got the guy the CEO
is a drag queen.
23:25
Adam Curry: Was that Boeing or
United? I think no, no, I
23:29
John C Dvorak: think it was I
thought it was Boeing's united.
23:31
Well, one of the okay. It
doesn't matter whatever the case
23:35
is. I don't think that CEO being
a drag queen. He got into a big
23:39
conversation at the dinner table
over the you know, the
23:41
millennials? Oh, well, you know,
it's okay to be a drag queen.
23:45
Well,
23:46
Adam Curry: and what did you
say? Great. Okay, he's
23:48
John C Dvorak: only hiring drag
queens. You're racist united.
23:52
Adam Curry: I wish I wish I
could have been at that table.
23:55
It's okay to be a drag queen. If
you're the CEO of a company just
23:59
leave that out. It's
24:03
John C Dvorak: she's a good
miser go to the board meetings
24:07
dressed up as a woman. Yeah.
24:09
Adam Curry: So there was another
the reporting on what happened
24:15
with this with this Boeing over
Miami kind of went like this
24:19
report.
24:20
Unknown: Melania DeRose
describing these, by the way,
24:22
Adam Curry: this is a Zoomer kid
who took the video, which is why
24:25
she's being interviewed purple
hair, and now she could have
24:30
been one of your Tiktok videos.
24:31
Unknown: Melania DeRose
describing these strange sounds
24:35
coming from this guy that caught
her attention. late Thursday
24:38
night, she took out her phone
and recorded this video, sparks
24:42
flying from a plane overhead. It
was pretty low and it wasn't
24:46
going up. So I'm like what's
going on here? It's not normal
24:49
inside Atlas flight 95 Five
heavy fire the pilot requesting
24:58
an emergency land Seeing how
many
25:00
souls on board and get on board
and anytime to burn fuel are you
25:05
guys gonna be good
25:08
souls on board sky 10 over Mia
Friday morning where you can see
25:12
the extensive damage to the
Atlas air Boeing 747 part of the
25:17
plane's wing gone no Federal
Aviation Administration.
25:21
preliminary inspection revealed
a softball sized hole above the
25:25
plane second engine. This the
second incident for a Boeing
25:29
plane this month after a door
plug went flying during an
25:32
Alaska Airlines Flight two weeks
ago exposing passengers to the
25:36
open air while still 1000s of
feet up. As for this flight,
25:41
I was afraid it was gonna crash
and burn in the Everglades or
25:45
something
25:46
oh five on board made it off
this plane unharmed.
25:49
We were so relieved. We were
still in shock some terrifying
25:53
moments not only for people who
are in that plane, but also
25:56
people on the ground who are
watching this all unfold
25:59
overhead. Both the FAA and NTSB
now investigating this incident.
26:06
So this is
26:06
Adam Curry: just horrible
reporting and it gives people
26:09
nothing but fear and agita. And
what agita there was there was
26:16
the wing, but there's no piece
of the wing missing. I watched
26:19
this video I pulled this clip
myself like this that was delete
26:21
talking
26:22
John C Dvorak: about this exact
same thing because of the dinner
26:25
table conversation. Uh huh. And
my advice to the kids was if you
26:29
have a video like this you call
the news desk at one of the
26:33
stations and you offer it to him
for money and you don't just
26:38
post it and give it away and
then put yourself on the air
26:41
which is what happened here
exactly I'm sure she didn't get
26:44
a nickel for this video no
26:46
Adam Curry: you know why purple
hair but you know throws in
26:51
there like the ever I thought it
was gonna crash in the
26:53
Everglades Of course it was a
horrible crash in the Everglades
26:55
what 20 years
26:56
John C Dvorak: ago when the
alligators and everyone it's my
26:59
favorite story
27:02
Adam Curry: and and what it
would have been nice if and just
27:05
because I'm I'm pro aviation you
know the trying to make
27:09
everyone's now freaked out, like
planes doors are popping off. I
27:14
mean, engines go out the video.
I mean, it was I'm not sure if
27:20
it was enhanced purposely. But
it made it look like the whole
27:23
planes on fire. Yeah, the fan
blades are crashing out the back
27:28
end something clearly wrong with
the with the engine, but there's
27:31
three more and it's fine. It's
an inboard engine. You know,
27:34
they did have a little trouble
shutting it down and putting the
27:36
fire out. But yeah, they didn't
even dump fuel like now we're
27:39
gonna go we're gonna land is
going to be okay. And that's
27:43
what these flight crews trained
for. What you want to be happy
27:45
about is that you had a flight
crew. Not some
27:50
John C Dvorak: as opposed to a
row. Some next never ending
27:53
complaint. Yes,
27:54
Adam Curry: yes, of course as
bad as by it.
27:58
John C Dvorak: Then crashing in
the Everglades and being eaten
28:01
by alligators just happens to
trigger a particular clip I have
28:06
blue which I think is kind of
funny. Well, not really.
28:11
Adam Curry: If it involves
people being eaten by
28:13
alligators. Is this your good
news clip?
28:16
John C Dvorak: No. This is the
tiene de bon de clip.
28:22
Adam Curry: Team de Bono and
Mississippi poultry plant faces
28:26
over two you could have warned
everybody and Mississippi
28:28
poultry plant for 200. But you
didn't warn everybody there was
28:31
all about
28:34
Unknown: Amy Goodman flippin
bound.
28:38
Mississippi poultry plant faces
over $200,000 in fines for the
28:41
death of a teenage worker who
was killed last year after being
28:44
pulled into a chicken de boning
machine know the Department of
28:48
Labor cited 17 violations
against the march poultry plant.
28:53
The death of 16 year old divan.
Pettis was the second fatality
28:58
recorded at the factory in just
over two years. The teen was
29:02
from Guatemala.
29:04
Adam Curry: This horrible,
horrible,
29:06
John C Dvorak: illegal alien
pulled into the chicken de
29:09
boning machine. What happened to
him?
29:13
Adam Curry: That's back while we
know. We know what happened to
29:16
him. Hey, there's speaking of
illegal aliens. According to
29:23
local Chicago DJs who are on the
talk radio's the Chicago Mayor
29:31
has been treated twice at the
hospital for panic attacks. This
29:37
guy this guy is no good
29:40
John C Dvorak: panic attacks.
Yeah. I
29:43
Adam Curry: mean, this is
unconfirmed. It's only according
29:45
to people familiar.
29:45
John C Dvorak: I'm sure it
doesn't matter who would be why
29:47
not so you get panic. People get
panic attacks. Yeah. If anybody
29:52
would get one I take it to
Chicago Mayor at this point he
29:55
Adam Curry: looks he looks like
the kind of guy doesn't need
29:57
like I'm just freaking out. Now
I can and deal with and it's
30:01
bad. It is so bad what's going
on there? I mean the airport
30:05
O'Hare you know, behind the the
curtain.
30:09
John C Dvorak: A lot of the
O'Hare Airport being filled up.
30:12
It smells
30:14
Adam Curry: and
30:16
Unknown: it's sad for the rats
in the airport. It's sad
30:19
Adam Curry: for these people
they've been they've been
30:22
tricked into thinking it's going
to be groovy
30:26
John C Dvorak: relatives in
Chicago. No
30:27
Adam Curry: they don't. They
don't that's why they're in the
30:30
airport. They don't have the
get. Oh man. I got this. What is
30:34
the latest report from from El
Paso? Let me see. Wait, Tucson
30:43
in McAllen airport statistics.
Dallas is not El Paso McAllen is
30:50
isn't moquette. Where's McAllen?
McAllen. Isn't that Vegas?
30:55
John C Dvorak: I don't know
where to look it up. But no, I
30:57
think I'm surprised you haven't
got homeless living in the San
31:00
Francisco Airport. That has to
happen.
31:03
Adam Curry: in McAllen. MFE.
Where's MFE? McAllen? Maybe that
31:07
is El Paso. M F E. Yeah. MFE
airport and I see airports. Mm
31:13
MF. Now I'm confused. I thought
it was El Paso.
31:16
John C Dvorak: You have a great
Friday. Yeah,
31:18
Adam Curry: I know. I'm talking
over it while I look it up. Yes.
31:22
It's McAllen, Texas. McAllen,
Texas. So they had 50,000
31:29
passengers flowing out versus
inbound. So basically, almost
31:38
50,000 passengers have who
didn't fly in flew out of
31:43
McAllen. That's how many people
are being flown around the
31:47
country. And that's that's
31:49
John C Dvorak: the 50,000. Is
that a week? A day? A month?
31:54
Adam Curry: Oh, I'm sorry. That
is as of
31:58
John C Dvorak: what was that
total? September? One month?
32:03
180 1000. They flew out that
month? Yes. How about that? And
32:08
who and who's paying for these
flights? Are the federal
32:11
government of course. Where's
that money come from? Biden's
32:16
Adam Curry: Hunter Biden. He's
got it from Ukraine. I don't
32:21
know. I'm sure it's the federal
government. Anyways, our money.
32:25
Well, Chip Roy is angry about
it. Chip Roy chip Roy is in the
32:29
House of Representatives. He
represents the great state of
32:31
Texas people are tired of
getting a complete lack of
32:38
representation from their
representatives. Nobody in this
32:43
country looks at Congress and
says, Wow, heck of a job guys
32:48
and gals. Well done. We do we do
that? Would we do this? By the
32:55
way, it does not matter who's
sitting in the Speaker's seat or
33:00
who's got the majority. We keep
doing the same stupid stuff. My
33:06
colleagues other side of the
aisle have no problem with wide
33:10
open borders, endangering the
people that I represent. None of
33:14
my constituents are the ones
left holding the bag and the
33:17
people of Texas are the ones
love spending 12 and a half
33:19
billion dollars. And my people
are the ones who have six kids
33:22
die from fentanyl poisoning in
the school district that I
33:24
represent. Yeah, it's not fun to
smoke. That is that when we're
33:28
talking about dead children,
fentanyl poisoning, because of
33:31
wide open borders because of the
calories of my Democratic
33:34
colleagues who refuse to do
anything about it always good
33:37
thing dead children. Good one,
not a thing do my colleagues do
33:41
about the wide open borders and
I will continue to speak to my
33:47
colleagues
33:50
Unknown: because we'll be in
order. The gentleman will
33:53
address his comments to the
chair
33:54
Adam Curry: stop talking to them
stop looking at them when you
33:56
talk to them. So chip Roy pulls
out the old dead children card
34:02
always a winner Yeah, you
killing children Democrats. The
34:06
funny thing is all the Democrats
are saying that's the
34:09
Republicans fault. Who would
have expected Morning Joe more
34:13
the morning Joe's place that
blame firmly on House
34:17
Republicans because the Senate
the Senate is all in they want
34:21
the legislation they want
Schumer's legislation, which is
34:24
not necessary all we need is
just a change in policy there's
34:28
no need for comprehensive
immigration reform just go abide
34:34
to the law the Chevron deference
if that were decided that would
34:37
that would change things but NO
NO NO NO Lindsey Lindy Hop lady
34:42
G she she's all pushing for for
we have to pass this legislation
34:46
anyway. Here's Morning Joe.
blaming it on the on the
34:49
Republicans you're an
34:50
Unknown: Avengers fan right you
saw in game right? I did. The
34:54
end game yeah, sure. So you
wonder you understand if Dr.
34:58
Strange and showed up For the
White House six months ago, and
35:02
Joe Biden's aides had said, Hey,
how do we end up looking good.
35:08
on border security? Dr. Strange
would say you have a one in
35:13
14,578,000 chance of looking
good on border security. Just
35:20
one. We're here. And at this
point, this is where dr. strange
35:25
holds up his finger and says,
This is the time Tony Stark if
35:31
that House Republicans get in
your way, and vote no, you get
35:38
to declare an emergency, and use
the Republican bill in the
35:44
Senate and go on TV and say, the
situation at the border is so
35:51
dangerous, that Republicans and
Democrats have come together in
35:55
the Senate. And they have told
me this is what needs to done
36:00
done. I will do it. But because
House Republicans are standing
36:05
in the way. I mean, Tony Stark
moment, five gets to act tough
36:12
and decisive on the border,
because the people and the House
36:16
Republicans are standing in his
way. That's the one in 14
36:20
million chance. And it's the
House Republicans that are
36:23
given.
36:24
Who's Tony Stark is pleased
Biden
36:29
Adam Curry: do you do mica
doesn't know who
36:32
John C Dvorak: you're talking
about?
36:33
Adam Curry: So what his his
solution is? Blame it on the
36:37
Republicans in the House because
they don't want to do it. Take
36:40
the Republican. It's not true.
It's a Chuck Schumer. So it's a
36:44
Democrat bill in the Senate. And
then Biden has to put on his his
36:50
Iron Man suit, go on television.
These are all things that are
36:53
impossible for this President.
And then be the this is the Tony
36:57
Stark moment. And he says I
declare an emergency we have to
37:01
somehow implement the Republican
Senate plan, which I no totally
37:08
John C Dvorak: consented play.
Well,
37:10
Adam Curry: it's the one that
Chuck Schumer wrote, which is
37:12
now according to Democrat, if
you haven't noticed yet, I keep
37:14
saying yeah, but you know it as
Chuck Schumer's name on it, but
37:18
it's somehow it's the Republican
plan. So
37:24
John C Dvorak: the ADEA the
insanity of that guy, and the
37:28
whole situation is unbelievable.
It's unbelievable. What
37:33
Adam Curry: they want. They want
that legislation, because it's
37:35
filled with all kinds of cool
stuff, like E verify, and, and
37:40
basically a way to legalize this
immigration nonsense.
37:44
John C Dvorak: Well, it's also
turns all these people into
37:47
voters. Well,
37:48
Adam Curry: that would that's
why it's a Republican plan.
37:51
Yeah, no, that's the Democrat
plan. Yeah. Hey, we go back to
37:55
chip Roy. Because chip Roy was
not done. He had a few more
37:58
things to say. This is where
Chevron deference coming. So if
38:01
Chevron deference if the Supreme
Court would say, hey, you know
38:04
what, we overturn the Chevron
deference thing. It wouldn't
38:07
happen automatically. There
would be all kinds of nonsense
38:10
going on.
38:11
John C Dvorak: But it'd be
suits. It'd be it'd be, hell
38:14
would break loose,
38:15
Adam Curry: but in and it will
it Yes. And it should. And in
38:17
essence, that's when we should
say, hey, the border, here's the
38:21
law, you can't interpret that
differently. Done. You can't
38:26
interpret it differently, that
that's all that it would take.
38:30
And Chip Roy brings up a whole
bunch of other things that
38:33
Chevron deference would stop. It
is the season of reveal
38:37
everybody listen
38:37
Unknown: to this gentleman from
Texas, Mr. Roy is recognized.
38:42
Adam Curry: There are other
things that we're funding that
38:45
we shouldn't the ATF rule
banning up to 40 million pistol
38:49
braces, the ATF rule massively
expanding background checks
38:52
without the consent of Congress,
the Department of Education's
38:56
student debt cancellation
schemes despite the Supreme
38:59
Court ruling against them.
Public health agencies like the
39:02
CDC, the NIH and FSA held on
accountable for COVID tyranny
39:07
and forcing masking vaccines
upon our children. The
39:10
Department of Veterans Affairs
vaccine mandate which have
39:13
introduced legislation to get
rid of the chief diversity
39:16
officers at the Department of
Defense and throughout
39:18
government, indoctrinating
people pushing out a radical
39:22
leftist agenda with critical
race theory and Dei. The
39:25
Pentagon's abortion travel fund
the FDA is rule allowing
39:28
abortion drugs to be shipped by
male taxpayer funded gender
39:31
transition surgery surgeries at
the Department of Defense. We
39:35
are funding all of that with
taxpayer money and borrowed
39:40
money. We are indebting our kids
and our grandkids to fund the
39:43
bureaucrats that are undermining
the freedom of the American
39:46
people, preventing them from
being able to prosper according
39:49
to the rights given to them by
the Almighty. This government is
39:53
failing to do its job and worse
is interfering with their God
39:57
given rights to do what they
want to do for their families.
40:00
With that, I'm gonna yield three
minutes. Yeah. Okay.
40:03
John C Dvorak: I'm beginning to
like chip Roy, he's really
40:06
become a high end. Yeah, he's
replaced guy. Diane yakker.
40:12
Adam Curry: High end yakker.
Yeah. Who was? What do you mean?
40:16
John C Dvorak: Maybe that other
guy who was also a Texan. And he
40:21
came after Paul. Ron Paul was
like one of the early ones
40:27
checks in the ACA. And then this
became this other guy who had
40:31
more of a Texas accent. And he
talked and he talked about kind
40:36
of getting to remember his name.
I'm trying to
40:38
Adam Curry: think of who you
mean. He's, he's had a he
40:41
John C Dvorak: was more of a
drawl. And he says, he's the one
40:44
who said what was he was against
the the carbon tax and he had,
40:52
he had all these puns that he'd
like to throw out there.
40:56
Adam Curry: Damage. I can't
remember but I do slow
40:59
John C Dvorak: talk and Texan is
Rick Perry. No, no, Rick Perry
41:04
was not as tow talking. Ross
Perot. No, he was a congressman
41:09
Kennedy. Carell Kennedy's from
Louisiana.
41:14
Adam Curry: I don't know. I'm
just I'm just throwing it. I
41:16
John C Dvorak: mean, well,
somebody in that ended No, they
41:18
don't
41:19
Adam Curry: know. The telecom is
clueless. They're useless.
41:23
Useless. But Baskin Robbins
should name a 32nd flavor. Chip
41:27
Roy. That's how much that's how
much we like him. Alright, I'm
41:32
gonna stick with this because of
course, we have to bring out the
41:35
propaganda machine to let you
know, because without a doubt,
41:42
John C Dvorak: the guy said by
the way, this texting guy said
41:44
crap and trade. His phrase.
41:48
Adam Curry: I don't know who
that was. I can't believe you
41:51
heard his name. You go. Yeah,
I'm sure I'm sure this is
41:54
annoying. So there's no doubt in
Texas, that there's a strong Oh,
42:00
Daddy Trump will fix it. He
Trump will fix it. Trump's gonna
42:03
fix it. Trump will fix it.
42:05
John C Dvorak: Tim's fixing
nothing.
42:07
Adam Curry: But this is people
are now and this is going
42:10
exactly as planned. Because the
Democrats want Trump in there
42:13
too. There's no doubt in my mind
now. This is the get let it all
42:18
collapse on Trump. So but joy
read she's only read in halfway
42:23
through I read is now being
taken seriously. Remember who
42:27
she gets a serious slot. She
gets serious interviews now. She
42:32
used to be just kind of a
weekend, jokester. You know, it
42:36
was it was fun to watch her
because she'd be all like it was
42:39
everything's racist.
Everything's racist. It was kind
42:41
of fun to watch. Now now she's
in the primetime line louie
42:45
Gohmert was it louie Gohmert
Gohmert today you go Thank you
42:48
who said that? Which troll? Eric
PP. Air MVP. MVP. He demand he's
42:55
a troll of the hour.
42:57
John C Dvorak: Give that man a
sash? Yeah, Louie Gohmert
43:00
Adam Curry: knows now she's
being taken seriously. And
43:03
although she had been who was
the Who was the guy who was the
43:07
former head of the Republican
party who's now completely the
43:12
black guy. But he wasn't that
interesting guy
43:15
John C Dvorak: was the worst
head of the Republican Party. He
43:17
turned Democrat immediately
after he got ousted.
43:21
Adam Curry: So he was on with
another with another lead.
43:24
Here's the intro. See, this is a
three parter. You'll enjoy it.
43:27
Unknown: You would be forgiven
for not knowing the term SIOP.
43:31
Adam Curry: I mean, right there
you've got me joy Reid, we're
43:33
talking psyops
43:34
Unknown: if you're not a right
wing conspiracist, or from a
43:36
military or podcaster. It is
short for psychological
43:41
operations. It essentially means
that effort to influence the
43:44
state of mind or motives of a
target to a certain point of
43:48
view. You could also say that
the Republicans ultimate SIOP is
43:52
immigration. They use it to
scare not just white working
43:56
class Magga voters, but
Americans in general about the
43:58
threat of a migrant invasion,
when in reality they have no
44:02
intention of ever fixing the yes
rather overwhelmed
44:05
underperforming immigration
system in this country,
44:07
Adam Curry: rather overwhelmed
underperforming immigration
44:10
system.
44:13
John C Dvorak: That joy read
here. Even mean, it
44:16
Adam Curry: means it's not a big
deal. It's a psyop man beside
44:20
the point.
44:21
John C Dvorak: Millions of
people aren't flowing into the
44:23
country. That's bull crap.
44:25
Adam Curry: No, but she thinks
that's okay. It's okay. They're
44:28
just not coming through the
right door. It's okay system in
44:31
Unknown: this country. Case in
point. Red State Governors are
44:35
bussing and flying migrants to
Blue cities like New York to get
44:39
people in those non border
cities to freak out about an
44:42
influx of impoverished non
English speakers
44:44
Adam Curry: in their midst,
because we can't we have no art
44:47
our airports are fall. Does.
44:49
John C Dvorak: She mentioned
that she mentioned that in New
44:52
York, that 90% of the people
that are flown in bused into New
44:56
York City are bussed in by the
federal government, not by
44:59
Texas. This is she's explicitly
mentioned that fact no
45:03
Adam Curry: because she's
explaining the SIOP. We're being
45:06
psyops by Abbott. So wheelchair
SIOP?
45:11
Unknown: They're racing to
impeach Homeland Security
45:13
Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas
over border policy with neither
45:17
evidence of wrongdoing or even
his testimony,
45:20
Adam Curry: no evidence. There's
no evidence you doing anything
45:23
wrong, and Republicans
45:24
Unknown: are on their way to
completely normalizing Donald
45:26
Trump's literal Hitler rhetoric.
There we go. Migrants are
45:30
poisoning the blood of the
country.
45:32
Adam Curry: I just want to
remind everybody we have
45:34
deconstructed this in mind calm
paid off hit with John and I we
45:38
picked up our we picked up our
bedside copies thumbed through
45:41
them, we checked, at no point
does Hitler say the poisoning of
45:47
the blood? At no point? Not even
in German. But okay, that's now
45:53
an accepted fact who is the SIOP
here.
45:55
Unknown: It's designed to get
brighter than just the SIOP?
45:59
Adam Curry: Well, you know,
this, I think this is what you
46:02
call on limited Hangouts. There
is joy Reid is SIOP being about
46:07
a site. It's
46:08
Unknown: designed to get more
than just Magga Republicans to
46:10
believe that not only is
immigration a huge danger, but
46:14
that it's a problem that only
Trump can fix. And yet, when
46:18
presented with a potential
bipartisan deal for new asylum
46:22
and border laws, Republicans
don't actually want to do
46:24
anything at the top
congressional leaders met with
46:27
President Biden at the White
House Wednesday.
46:29
Adam Curry: So now a part of
this SIOP a joy read SIOP is
46:33
Lady G, because Lindsey Graham
is all in on comprehensive
46:38
immigration reform, which we
don't need to solve the problem
46:42
is just a policy. It's just the
policy.
46:45
John C Dvorak: Dimension
something here yeah, you're
46:47
playing this piece of crap by
this woman is, is getting them a
46:51
bigger audience than the piece
of crap playing on MSNBC when it
46:57
played there to this miniscule
audience that they have. This is
47:01
true at work.
47:02
Adam Curry: This is true. I'm
part of the SIOP. Alright, let's
47:06
listen to Lindsey.
47:07
Unknown: Senator Lindsey Graham
told Magga Republicans in the
47:10
House Maga
47:11
Adam Curry: I love I love all
this. She does all these little
47:14
things like told Maga
Republicans. This is genius.
47:20
She's good. And the new hairdo a
new hairdo is Have you seen the
47:25
hairdo?
47:26
John C Dvorak: The Trump
haircut? Yes, it's perfect. So
47:31
Adam Curry: someone knows what
they're doing? She is the black
47:36
female Trump. She's She's anti
Trump. She is the Yeah, she's
47:41
like the Antichrist. This
fantastic is nothing but
47:46
entertaining. Senator
47:47
Unknown: Lindsey Graham told
Magga Republicans in the House
47:50
that they would not do any
better to those
47:52
who think that if President
Trump wins, which I hope he
47:55
does, that we can get a better
deal.
47:58
Adam Curry: I thought Lindsey
Graham, last time I looked he
48:01
was anti Trump. No. Do you
remember?
48:04
John C Dvorak: Did I keep Are
you not keeping score?
48:06
Adam Curry: Oh, hold on a
second.
48:07
John C Dvorak: He flipped back
about six months ago.
48:09
Adam Curry: That's the
megaphone. I gotta call the
48:11
megaphone and we go check and
see what Trump has to say to me.
48:14
You won't.
48:15
Unknown: You got to get 60 votes
the United States Senate. So to
48:18
my Republican friends RAM to get
into border security without
48:23
granting a pathway to
citizenship is really unheard
48:27
of. But
48:28
any potential progress is likely
due to Trump's what Yeah, you
48:32
Adam Curry: heard him right.
Exactly what I said. If you want
48:35
border security, you have to
have a pathway to citizenship,
48:38
you know, for voting for
Lindsay's team, which looks like
48:42
it's Democrats. This is this is
this is insulting to the
48:47
intelligence of the American
people is really
48:50
Unknown: unheard of.
48:51
But any potential progress is
likely doomed since Trump says
48:54
no. Last night on his fake
Twitter. He demanded that
48:58
Republicans reject a border deal
unless they get everything.
49:02
Well, everything like what we
already knew that the fix was in
49:05
hours earlier when during an
appearance on Fox, Laura Ingram
49:09
enforced how informed House
Speaker Mike Johnson, that
49:12
trumpet just told her that he
was adamantly opposed to a deal
49:16
with Democrats.
49:17
Adam Curry: Oh, yeah, the
megaphone. Yep. You know what?
49:20
The megaphone, she's got a
phone. She's got a megaphone,
49:23
megaphone. Alright, so we that's
just the basis. It's not about
49:29
that because what we really want
to do, and the troll room is
49:32
right. There are people who just
hang on Joy reads every word
49:36
they believe her that they think
she she is a person of
49:39
authority. I know it's hard for
you to imagine, but
49:43
John C Dvorak: Well, I know
there's a couple those there's a
49:46
couple that watch. Yeah.
49:47
Adam Curry: So we need there are
but we need to do is we need to
49:50
remind everybody and this, again
proves the point that both
49:54
parties want Trump to be the
president for the collapse the
49:58
financial collapse the
overwhelming of the immigration
50:01
system for all the crap so that
we go through years of stuff and
50:06
then people say, oh, man, you
want we don't want a Republican
50:09
anymore. Let's get it. Let's get
a Democrat back in. So what does
50:13
she do besides the the ex?
Republican party guy, what's his
50:20
name? Doesn't matter. I
50:23
John C Dvorak: can visualize
him, but I can't think of a
50:24
shame.
50:25
Adam Curry: She brings in a
professor, a smarty pants to
50:30
prove that Trump is a Nazi. He's
Hitler.
50:33
Unknown: Joining me now is Ruth
Binky, a professor of history
50:35
and a scholar of
authoritarianism at New York
50:37
University. Oh, yeah. And
50:39
I'm glad you started the segment
talking about psyops because
50:43
propaganda is not just we're
trying to get somebody to
50:46
believe one false fact like
vaccines cause autism.
50:51
Propaganda is actually changing
the way people think and feel
50:56
through the associations they
make. So famously, like you
51:00
know, in Nazi Germany, if you
heard the word Jew, you were
51:03
trained to think filthy and
dangerous. So Trump in the
51:08
Republicans are doing the same
thing to immigrants. And of
51:11
course, there's long history of
you know, racializing and hating
51:16
immigrants in our country, but
the the blood fluid or thing to,
51:21
to link them to not only crime,
taking away people's jobs, but
51:27
also polluting the blood. This
goes right back to fascism. I
51:30
truly feel like I've spent way
too many hours looking at
51:34
fascist rhetoric. And Mussolini
in 1927 actually talked about
51:39
this are his words black, brown,
and yellow people. I
51:43
Adam Curry: looked for this, I
looked at a lot of Google
51:46
searches. I looked for Mussolini
saying that I see he was against
51:52
Slavic people. But I can't
really find him saying black
51:56
brown and yellow people. But I
know she wrote a book on the
51:59
subject. So she's probably
right. What is interesting is
52:02
that the Democrats are
necessarily
52:04
John C Dvorak: I'm sorry, not
necessarily whiteness.
52:07
Adam Curry: What not necessarily
that she's right.
52:10
John C Dvorak: She wrote a book
on it though there so i She's
52:12
probably right. I don't say
that's true. I mean, I'm not
52:15
buying it. I
52:16
Adam Curry: think I'm being
facetious.
52:20
John C Dvorak: Oh, well, you
weren't facetious enough. Okay.
52:22
Adam Curry: Well, man,
52:24
John C Dvorak: she's probably
Michael Steele. Michael.
52:27
Adam Curry: She probably she
wrote the book about it. So she
52:29
knows. Interesting, interesting,
better, better. Interesting that
52:35
you know, it's like Trump is
Hitler. But who is genocide Joe?
52:43
John C Dvorak: Must be brought
up in the conversation I'm
52:45
Unknown: sure Leni in 1927
actually talked about this are
52:49
his words black, brown and
yellow people trying to come
52:52
over the border and ruin quote,
white civilization. So this is
52:57
very old. It's actually the
biggest through line and
52:59
authoritarianism. Right Wing
authoritarianism is people
53:02
coming over the border to ruin
your country and ruin white
53:06
Christian civilization. Yeah.
53:08
And Viktor Orban uses that
example and the
53:11
John C Dvorak: Romans also said
that when the Huns came over and
53:15
sacked Rome,
53:18
Adam Curry: they could have
added that
53:19
Unknown: Viktor Orban uses that
exact same framing. Maloney in
53:24
Italy has used that same
framing, and Hitler literally
53:27
goes the Huns
53:29
John C Dvorak: would sacking
Rome was have a history of this
53:33
problem. Yeah.
53:34
Unknown: And Viktor Orban uses
that exact same framing. Maloney
53:38
in Italy has used that same
framing, and Hitler literally
53:42
used the polluting the blood
line, it's literally straight
53:46
out of Hitler. Well, now let me
let me allow you viewers, it's
53:50
not it's just not to listen to
the speaker of the house.
53:54
Johnson of the great state of
Louisiana, literally justify
53:58
that rhetoric literally.
53:59
Adam Curry: Okay. So let's just
back this up. What is he
54:03
literally going to justify let's
just just get back it up, same
54:06
Unknown: framing. Maloney in
Italy has used that same
54:10
framing, the framing is
54:12
John C Dvorak: these people,
brown and yellow people coming
54:15
across the board are going to
ruin the blood of America in the
54:18
blood. And so Johnson is going
to literally iterate it
54:22
literally. Literally,
54:24
Unknown: Hitler literally used
the polluting line. It's
54:29
literally straight out of
Hitler. Well now, it's
54:31
Adam Curry: literally not it's
literally not straight out of
54:35
Hitler, or you mean his book
minecon the blood
54:37
Unknown: let line it's literally
straight out of Hitler. Well,
54:41
now let let me allow you viewers
to listen to the speaker of the
54:45
house. Mike Johnson of the great
state of Louisiana, literally
54:49
justify that rhetoric,
54:50
Adam Curry: but it's not
language I would use but
54:52
understand the urgency of
President Trump's admonition.
54:56
He's been saying this since he
ran for president the first time
54:59
that We have to secure the
border. And I think the vast
55:02
majority of the American people
understand the necessity of
55:05
that. And Frank, do you agree
with his position? He did not
55:09
agree that he
55:11
John C Dvorak: was reasonable.
What is she talking about? This
55:18
is the classic that we used to
do more on the show than we do
55:21
recently. Which is, you say one
thing and then you exemplify it
55:24
with a with a quote with a clip,
that means nothing, it's got
55:28
nothing to do with it.
55:31
Adam Curry: So what joy Reid is
really doing put
55:34
John C Dvorak: it in your this
is a sigh someone's brain, that
55:38
they're going to hear something
then you play them something
55:41
that's got nothing to do with
anything to convince them that
55:44
what they've just heard is what
you said.
55:48
Adam Curry: That was fantastic
that if you want here,
55:51
John C Dvorak: a long time to
get there, I think it's like a
55:53
shaggy dog story. You're good at
these. Well, but here was where
55:57
I got a kicker.
55:58
Adam Curry: Let's go to Germany,
which is where Hitler literally
56:02
rose up. Okay. Okay.
56:05
John C Dvorak: Okay. Okay.
56:07
Adam Curry: There is a party,
which, of course is seen as
56:10
John C Dvorak: fall this is. I'm
glad you got this clip, because
56:13
I don't have any exception. This
is out of control.
56:16
Adam Curry: This is from
Deutsche Avella, which is you
56:18
know, the CIA, CIA run German
national news
56:23
John C Dvorak: organizations,
one of the it's hard to say. So,
56:27
Adam Curry: the F de the
alternate for Deutschland, which
56:31
is yes,
56:32
John C Dvorak: these guys the
Alto are just dominating
56:34
politics right now. Yes.
56:36
Adam Curry: Because and the but
remember, they're far right.
56:39
Just helped me remember. The
Nazis, also known as the
56:43
National Socialists, where they
far right or far left just
56:46
helped me
56:47
John C Dvorak: remember, well,
they call themselves socialists.
56:50
That's
56:50
Adam Curry: far right, isn't it?
Well,
56:53
John C Dvorak: socialists, no,
no.
56:56
Adam Curry: Okay, so just bear
that in mind. So they have
56:59
psyops 1000s of people into
believing that this far right
57:06
party, the far right party who
have said, we need to stop this
57:11
immigration thing, because the
problem basically, like Trump,
57:15
like the Republicans. So this is
the cya. This is a real psyop
57:20
going on in Germany right now.
57:21
Unknown: 10s of 1000s of people
have taken to the streets of the
57:25
German city of Hamburg, to
protest against the far right.
57:28
It follows revelations that
members of the Alternative for
57:31
Germany Party held a secret
meeting to discuss the mass
57:34
deportation of immigrants and
German citizens of foreign
57:38
origin. The AFD is under
domestic surveillance and
57:41
several German states, and there
have been calls to ban the party
57:45
entirely. Now
57:46
Adam Curry: you're talking
that's how you do it. Joy read
57:50
you, you get people to ban the
whole party
57:53
John C Dvorak: district and the
Republican Party and the
57:56
Republican Party
57:57
Adam Curry: not now. That's a
cya party
57:59
Unknown: entirely.
58:00
The streets of Hamburg,
overflowing with protesters
58:05
giving voice to the postwar
German promise of never again to
58:09
right wing extremism.
58:12
Adam Curry: Stop. Never again to
right wing extremism. That's not
58:17
who the Nazis were. They were
left wing extremists. That's
58:23
what bugs me
58:24
Unknown: first war, German
promise of never again to right
58:27
wing extremism.
58:31
I'm actually demonstrating for
the first time in my life
58:34
issues. I myself find it
threatening. I know stories from
58:40
the Nazi era from my
grandfather. And I don't want
58:43
that to happen again. Once
58:46
protests erupted after it
emerged that Alternative for
58:49
Germany members and Neo Nazis
met to discuss plans to deport
58:54
millions of people with migrants
roots, including German
58:58
citizens. The party's leadership
has tried to distance itself
59:02
from the so called Master Plan.
The revelation has sparked
59:08
nationwide outrage. Even
prompting Chancellor Ola Schultz
59:13
to join a protest in his
hometown of Potsdam. She said
59:17
the plan for mass deportations
should send a shiver down
59:20
people's spines.
59:23
Adam Curry: So here's a party
that has a lot of momentum. And
59:27
they have said we're gonna do
something about migration, which
59:30
is what 40% of the globe has
elections this year. That we
59:36
heard to Queen Ursula
complaining about that, oh,
59:39
people don't trust us anymore.
This is no good people like
59:41
saying we want to stop this
crazy migration. Germany has
59:46
horrible migrant issues like
most other countries in Europe,
59:51
except for the other far right
countries like Victor or bands
59:56
country. And so now that just
So, these are Nazis. These are
1:00:02
Nazis. They're Nazis. They're
Nazis. Germans. I'm gonna
1:00:05
trigger you Nazis. And it's
working. It's It's unbelievable.
1:00:14
And this is the true SIOP. This
is what's happening is happening
1:00:17
in the Netherlands tilde vote,
he unveiled his Nazi Nazi people
1:00:22
who voted for him. The far right
Nazis. Naughty naughty naughty
1:00:27
Nazi trying to
1:00:28
John C Dvorak: attack the voters
now. Yes, it was doing it here
1:00:31
to anyone. There was a couple of
I was watching something and
1:00:35
there were there was if anyone,
you know Trump is a murderer,
1:00:39
and if he gets fanned the people
who vote for him are complicit.
1:00:44
Yes, we will have like
complicity of anyone who's voted
1:00:47
for Trump that as is a murderer.
Well, they're
1:00:50
Adam Curry: racist. You know
that right? Everyone who votes
1:00:52
for them
1:00:53
John C Dvorak: was a racist?
Yeah, no. That's weak. No, no.
1:00:57
Adam Curry: They're racists. All
of them. All of them racist. And
1:01:02
they're evangelicals. Oh, by the
way, I got a I got a note here.
1:01:08
I asked what an evangelical was,
I was not satisfied with your
1:01:12
answer.
1:01:14
John C Dvorak: I got an answer.
That was my answer.
1:01:17
Adam Curry: What was your
answer?
1:01:19
John C Dvorak: I don't know. I
just had some long winded
1:01:22
explanation of what an
evangelical was no, probably was
1:01:25
not on the money for someone.
Well, Luke
1:01:28
Adam Curry: sent me a note and
I'm Luke. Bible, Luke. Yes.
1:01:32
Luke, the doctor doc. Good. Dr.
Luke. He says I just listened to
1:01:36
the last last episode. I want to
give you insight about
1:01:38
evangelical Christianity. First
of all, John was way off base.
1:01:44
Yeah.
1:01:46
John C Dvorak: Well, that's all
evangelical
1:01:49
Adam Curry: Christianity is not
connected to a denomination
1:01:51
essentially. Oh, that's right.
1:01:53
John C Dvorak: I said it was
largely Yeah, I said it stemmed
1:01:57
from and it's a Pyramides by
Pentecostals, essentially, which
1:02:02
I stick with. I mean, now, just
beyond that there is a movement
1:02:06
within the Catholic church
called charismatics. Oh, they're
1:02:08
the best they are the ones where
Jesus same as as the
1:02:12
Pentecostals as far as most
people are concerned and they
1:02:15
make a big fuss about there's
this 12 stations of the whatever
1:02:20
it's called, I can't remember
anymore, but they went out to
1:02:23
13. And that's like their big
thing they
1:02:26
Adam Curry: got to do that.
Would you like to hear from from
1:02:28
him from Lukoil?
1:02:29
John C Dvorak: I'm gonna hear
okay.
1:02:34
Adam Curry: Christianity is not
connected to a denomination.
1:02:36
Essentially, any Christianity of
any denomination can be an
1:02:40
evangelical. Most churches have
a mix of even evangelical and
1:02:45
non evangelical Christians.
However, some denominations in
1:02:48
some churches have a higher
percentage of Evangelicals to
1:02:51
determine if someone is an
Evangelical, they need they need
1:02:54
to ascribe to four principles.
John, I'm going to take the
1:02:58
test. First, they have had a
conversion experience, which
1:03:03
means they can point towards a
specific time when they decided
1:03:06
to die to the world and start
living for Christ.
1:03:09
John C Dvorak: Okay, I'm gonna
stop on each one of these and
1:03:14
make a comment. Okay,
1:03:14
Adam Curry: I gotta check for
that one.
1:03:16
John C Dvorak: So there's no
such thing as a evangelical that
1:03:19
was a religious advocate from
birth to today. They've always
1:03:26
been a Bible thumping. I'll put
it this way Jesus freak from the
1:03:32
get go. They can't be
evangelicals is that no, that's
1:03:36
what that says
1:03:36
Adam Curry: notes as if you can
point towards a specific time
1:03:39
which could be birth.
1:03:42
John C Dvorak: So it's pretty
hard to remember your birth
1:03:44
date. Okay. Let that was. Okay.
1:03:46
Adam Curry: Second Second. They
must believe in sola scriptura.
1:03:51
Which means that they believe
that the Bible is the divinely
1:03:54
inspired Word of God and the
Bible is the sole authority, not
1:03:58
church leaders. Check. Third,
they must live with with a
1:04:05
biblical worldview in their
daily life and evangelize to non
1:04:09
Christians. John, do you want to
be saved? Lastly, they must
1:04:17
believe that humans are
inherently sinful that Jesus
1:04:20
death on the cross was in wasn't
atoning sacrifice that cleanses
1:04:24
us from sin, and that his
sacrifice is the only thing that
1:04:27
can save us. Not good works.
Think I qualify?
1:04:35
John C Dvorak: I mean, yeah,
well, you don't do good works,
1:04:36
then.
1:04:37
Adam Curry: I don't have to.
That's I mean, it's it's
1:04:41
recommended.
1:04:43
John C Dvorak: Was it
recommended? I
1:04:44
Adam Curry: didn't you see that?
What is this show up? What do
1:04:46
you mean recommend? I
1:04:47
John C Dvorak: just you're doing
it. This is the devil's work the
1:04:50
way you're doing? No, that's
1:04:51
Adam Curry: not true. In fact,
just earlier I said, people who
1:04:55
have left the show I said I love
them. I said I'm not mad at
1:04:58
them.
1:04:59
John C Dvorak: So you Ha, wow,
1:05:02
Adam Curry: you you think I
speak with forked tongue?
1:05:05
Anyway? So that is so that's an
evangelical well, okay,
1:05:09
John C Dvorak: it I'm not gonna
argue against what his
1:05:11
definition is. But if
1:05:13
Adam Curry: you listen to the
view, which of course we do.
1:05:18
evangelicals are just racist.
1:05:20
Unknown: When you look at said
all men are created equal. I
1:05:23
think the intent, the intent was
to do the right thing. Now, did
1:05:29
they have to go fix it along the
way? Yes. But I don't think the
1:05:32
intent was ever that we were
going to be a racist country.
1:05:36
No. And also men, all men are
created equal notice the gender
1:05:41
distinction, which he didn't
even bring up. You
1:05:44
know, though I know she believes
we were never in a racist
1:05:47
country is that she's quoting
the Declaration of Independence
1:05:50
that was penned by Thomas
Jefferson talking about Nikki
1:05:52
Haley. Obviously, Thomas
Jefferson owns 600 slaves
1:05:56
throughout his lifetime. He also
began raping one of those
1:05:59
slaves, Sally Hemings at the age
of 15 and had a shadow family
1:06:03
with her of six children. So
when he said all men were
1:06:06
created equal, he was saying
that in the context of, but the
1:06:11
people that aren't equal are
women and be enslaved that I
1:06:14
have at Monticello. Right. So
Nikki, that's just a history
1:06:18
lesson. The other thing that
I've noticed is she's really
1:06:22
trying to get that Maga base,
right? She's trying to get that
1:06:25
Republican base. And although we
are not a racist country,
1:06:28
according to her 85% of
Republicans are white. I'm not
1:06:32
saying that they're all racists.
Yeah, many racists are white.
1:06:37
And what I have noticed now is
that Donald Trump is picking up
1:06:41
on that.
1:06:42
Adam Curry: Oh, yeah, he's like,
hey, hey, newsflash, everybody.
1:06:47
White people are great. I can I
can make them make them love me
1:06:51
cuz I'm racist. Do you want to
hear more on this, Nikki Haley
1:06:56
than CNN was just going off? I
mean, Nikki Haley is is out.
1:07:00
She's done. I mean, they just
burying her now.
1:07:03
John C Dvorak: So they were a
big promoters of I mean, they
1:07:05
seem that they are promoters,
but they don't want to be in a
1:07:07
losing sight of things. So they
are not absolutely sure what
1:07:11
they're trying to do
1:07:11
Adam Curry: here. Well, here's
CNN this morning. Well, your
1:07:15
that was from the view, though.
That wasn't from CNN. No, no,
1:07:18
but it's all a part of the Nikki
Haley is is now a horrible
1:07:21
person. For they weren't wrong.
She She didn't explain the Civil
1:07:28
War properly. And then she said
this, listen to past
1:07:31
Unknown: fourth grade social
studies, you know, this line
1:07:33
from the Declaration of
Independence. But we hold these
1:07:36
truths to be self evident, that
all men are created equal for
1:07:39
Nikki Haley, the meaning of
those words hasn't actually
1:07:41
changed at all since 1776. When
1:07:44
you look at said all men are
created equal. I think the
1:07:48
intent, the intent was to do the
right thing. Now, did they have
1:07:53
to go fix it along the way? Yes.
But I don't think the intent was
1:07:57
ever that we were going to be a
racist country. I refuse to
1:08:00
believe that the premise of when
they formed our country, was
1:08:06
based on the fact that it was a
racist country to start with.
1:08:09
She
1:08:10
Adam Curry: basically took a
hand grenade, pull the pin out
1:08:13
with her teeth, and said, Lo
Look at this. I mean, she's self
1:08:18
destructed with this, because
you know that the entire left
1:08:23
wing media who are actual
racists, they're the ones who
1:08:27
are going to pick this up and
say, Oh, how can we had George
1:08:31
Floyd? How can you say this?
1:08:32
Unknown: I refuse to believe
that the intent
1:08:35
and its overarching role in US
history is hardly that clear
1:08:38
cut. In fact, the actual history
seems to directly undercut that
1:08:41
contention on some level. That's
not an attack on the founding
1:08:44
fathers nor is it some
inflammatory statement calling
1:08:47
into question the soul of the
nation. It's its history. Its
1:08:49
history based on facts, facts,
like the author of those words,
1:08:53
Thomas Jefferson drafted that
document while Simon
1:08:55
simultaneously owning people.
throughout his lifetime enslaved
1:08:59
to 600 human beings race at any
given time, there were more than
1:09:02
130 slaves at Monticello. But
what about the signatories
1:09:05
underneath the declaration
notice a talking point here of
1:09:08
independence, that document
states unequivocally that all
1:09:11
men are created equal, as cited
by Halley, at least 30 of the 56
1:09:16
signers of the Declaration of
Independence own slaves, that's
1:09:19
well over half of the
signatories, and a dozen US
1:09:22
presidents own slaves as well.
But slavery wasn't embedded in
1:09:25
the US history. Just through its
founders. It was in its founding
1:09:29
documents during the
Constitutional Convention in
1:09:31
1787. The founders included the
three fifths compromise is a
1:09:35
clause that found enslaved
blacks in any state will be
1:09:38
counted as three fifths of
number of white residents. It
1:09:40
took 81 years of civil war and
the 14th amendment to change
1:09:44
that. Look, this this isn't some
kind of history lesson. The 150
1:09:47
years that followed the Civil
War, laid bare in a visceral way
1:09:51
of just how much more work was
left to do. Now much work
1:09:53
remains today.
1:09:55
Adam Curry: Nikki Haley did it
wrong? She says yeah, me either.
1:10:00
because she she couldn't she
couldn't just she mess it up she
1:10:09
messed it up so bad. And then
she just like just buried
1:10:12
herself with this well but you
know that wasn't the intent.
1:10:17
People own slaves back then bad
people still own slaves today
1:10:21
bad but then because like that
wasn't the intent all men are
1:10:27
created equal towards Joy bay
horse as notice. You can notice
1:10:31
it didn't say anything about
1:10:32
John C Dvorak: the joy Bay
Harbor thing. But this is like
1:10:36
getting off of this she got
sidetracked from the which he
1:10:40
should be talking about, which
is issues like housing,
1:10:46
homelessness, order war, war,
war and war or not about re re
1:10:53
examining the Constitution and
the Declaration of Independence
1:10:57
and bringing Jefferson into the
into the picture. But this was
1:11:01
an idiotic move on her part, but
it was part of the media I have
1:11:05
a series of clips for example.
Kristen Welker worse, worse. Say
1:11:13
something I'm gonna say
something that will sound a
1:11:15
little racist. Oh, hold on a
second. Because you brought this
1:11:19
up and I thought that was she I
thought Kristen Welker was
1:11:22
Adam Curry: almost like the
microphone is ringing. What? Oh,
1:11:25
yeah, yeah, Trump says Be a
little racist. So it's okay, go
1:11:28
for it.
1:11:29
John C Dvorak: Okay. You said
that she was a black woman and I
1:11:33
thought she was multicultural
and then I noticed what I
1:11:36
started to notice and anyone who
sees it once you see it once
1:11:39
you're never going to forget it.
They yellow her up they put a
1:11:44
yellow makeup on or
1:11:47
Adam Curry: a yellow her up from
1:11:50
John C Dvorak: the yellower up
because if you look at her hands
1:11:53
this is important television is
a good example because I'm so
1:11:58
pale I like to get bronze up a
little bit and I always have to
1:12:01
say to the makeup artist do my
hands and the makeup art because
1:12:07
if you hold your white hand up
against kind of you know what
1:12:11
looks like a semi tan face it
looks like a skeleton. Me you're
1:12:16
likely to have you have to say
do my hands make up hands make
1:12:22
up your hands and they always
make up people which are you
1:12:25
know that much okay good and
they will then make your hands
1:12:28
up so there's a
1:12:28
Adam Curry: little darker
otherwise otherwise it looks
1:12:30
very weird if you're if you're
looking very
1:12:32
John C Dvorak: weird so Welker
they yellow her up and they
1:12:36
don't do her hands. And she has
two problems with their hands.
1:12:41
And when you see your hand
you're gonna go oh my god. She's
1:12:44
got man hands for starters. And
they look like that field a
1:12:49
field worker. All black man's
hands was really very dark. And
1:12:56
so she is a black woman. I
thought it was thought she was
1:12:58
multi mixed race but no, if you
look at her hands and when you
1:13:02
see your hands contrasted to her
face and the rest of the makeup
1:13:06
she's gone on our chest. You go
Geez, why don't you know this?
1:13:11
She's very black.
1:13:12
Adam Curry: I'm looking. I'm
looking down looking at Oh, you
1:13:15
know she does have a rather
large hands and they are much
1:13:18
darker than her face. Yes.
1:13:22
John C Dvorak: When you see it
in real time you go Oh, wow. I
1:13:26
don't know if I go on my fridge.
pretty creepy. I don't know if I
1:13:31
go. But okay, I did. So she gets
on Joni Ernst on the show and
1:13:38
she she grills her left and
right she will get off any
1:13:41
topic. And Earths refuses to
budge and Welker stinks. It
1:13:46
does. She sucks. So let's listen
to some some Welker going after.
1:13:52
Adam Curry: From Meet the Press.
Let's just set her up. Meet the
1:13:55
Press.
1:13:55
John C Dvorak: She took over
from chip or Roy or Todd whoever
1:13:58
the hell it was chip Todd
1:14:00
Adam Curry: the Todd cast. Yes,
Chip.
1:14:03
John C Dvorak: She's no good.
1:14:04
Adam Curry: Let me just see what
her Wikipedia says for a second
1:14:09
daughter of Harvey and Julie
Welker. He's an engineer father,
1:14:14
his white mother is black.
1:14:16
John C Dvorak: You never know
from her hands. Oh, she
1:14:19
Adam Curry: got she got her
mom's hands.
1:14:23
John C Dvorak: Her mom was
having huge hands. Is their man
1:14:27
hands. It's like it's like a
Seinfeld gag. Yeah. So let's go
1:14:31
with the Welker ragging on Joni
Ernst and yours will really have
1:14:35
very little she's she doesn't
push it around as pleasant. I
1:14:40
don't think she's the strong
character that we do is Joanie.
1:14:44
Joanie Harris was the Iowa
Senator from the who when she
1:14:48
ran, she was kind of a cutie pie
and she ran by shooting a gun,
1:14:52
am shooting that gun vote for
me. And she was like a tough,
1:14:57
cute chick. And then she became
In Canada,
1:15:01
Adam Curry: is that the one who
ate the salad with their comb?
1:15:05
John C Dvorak: No, no, that's,
1:15:06
Adam Curry: that's that's the
you know, that
1:15:07
John C Dvorak: was what that's
that's a Democrat. That was
1:15:10
wasn't that that kind of the the
Minnesota girl running for vice
1:15:18
president
1:15:19
Adam Curry: Amy Klobuchar I like
Amy Klobuchar aide with a comb.
1:15:22
I liked her for a moment was
that she's
1:15:25
John C Dvorak: the one who threw
the stapler at her staff becomes
1:15:28
a stapler. So, these people our
show is like this if you're
1:15:34
newcomer but
1:15:36
Adam Curry: please, it's okay.
In. We're not racist podcast.
1:15:42
Thank you. There you go.
1:15:43
Unknown: Again, Senator Joni
Ernst, a member of Senate
1:15:45
leadership who chairs the
Republican policy committee and
1:15:48
the first female combat veteran
elected to serve in the United
1:15:51
States Senate. Senator Ernst,
welcome back to meet the press.
1:15:55
It is great to have you happy
caucus Eve. We should note that
1:15:58
you have not endorsed a
candidate. I want to ask you
1:16:01
about this lead that former
President Trump has it is nearly
1:16:05
30 points in our latest poll.
But of course, the big X factor
1:16:09
here is the weather. I have to
ask you before we delve into
1:16:13
policy issues. Do you think
these frigid temperatures will
1:16:16
help or hurt Donald Trump on
caucus night?
1:16:19
Adam Curry: Wow, that's a deep
question. I'm glad she started
1:16:21
with that one.
1:16:23
John C Dvorak: She That's all
she preoccupied with Trump this
1:16:25
woman now. And all she does is
talk about Trump, Trump Trump,
1:16:28
and it's like, Will it hurt or
help Trump will or hurt or help
1:16:31
any of them? Yeah, right. I
mean, what differs is Trump
1:16:35
what's Trump got to do with the
price of bread? So jurors kind
1:16:38
of he's just
1:16:40
Adam Curry: she, why she even on
why she even on wood? There's no
1:16:44
explanation
1:16:45
John C Dvorak: for it just
because she's from Iowa. It was
1:16:47
the Iowa caucus. So maybe she'll
give some input but no, no, no.
1:16:52
Instead, Welker gets
filibustered. And here we go.
1:16:56
Well,
1:16:56
Unknown: it's hard to know.
Iowans are a hearty people, and
1:17:00
there are no snow days when it
comes to caucus. So we'll see
1:17:04
who turns out tomorrow night, I
would say bundle up where your
1:17:08
car hurts and your coveralls,
your insulated boots, but get
1:17:11
out there and support your
candidate of choice. That
1:17:14
Kristen, it really is hard to
tell who's going to drive out
1:17:18
the most voters. But one thing I
can say Iowa being the first in
1:17:22
the nation caucus state, we do
take this very seriously. Okay,
1:17:27
Adam Curry: she's doing color,
basically.
1:17:29
John C Dvorak: So she's not
saying anything. It's just not
1:17:31
going to show you where to go.
Again, we're talking
1:17:33
Adam Curry: about the weather
and bundling up. It's almost
1:17:35
like Sarah Palin.
1:17:37
John C Dvorak: So here we go as
Welker coming back at her with a
1:17:40
loaded question.
1:17:41
Unknown: Well, I've been out
talking to folks and everyone is
1:17:44
saying exactly that point.
Senator, I want to ask you about
1:17:48
former UN Ambassador Nikki
Haley, in our poll, she comes in
1:17:52
second place. But if you look at
the polls, overall, she does
1:17:56
best against President Biden in
a general election campaign.
1:18:00
Former President Trump is tied
effectively with President
1:18:04
Biden, if Republicans want to
win back the White House is
1:18:07
Nikki Haley. Your best bet.
1:18:13
Adam Curry: Wow.
1:18:15
John C Dvorak: How is this
acceptable? But okay, here we go
1:18:20
again, with I think
1:18:22
Adam Curry: I think the NBC made
a mistake by getting rid of the
1:18:26
Dotster
1:18:28
John C Dvorak: Oh, no, this one
was no good. She's really. I
1:18:30
didn't think she was gonna be
good at this. And then you watch
1:18:33
her and she's really not she's
Yeah, I think so to the Dotster
1:18:38
was at least Dotster. Yeah, the
Tod Sr. He was like a, he should
1:18:43
bitch and moan about but he did
it. He was fairly good at not
1:18:48
sounding like you're one sided,
and you couldn't get off a topic
1:18:51
and she can't do it. So here she
goes ragging on a clip for Well,
1:18:56
I
1:18:56
Unknown: think she is a great
candidate. Again, I'm not
1:18:59
endorsing anyone in the Iowa
caucuses. But if you look at the
1:19:03
issues that are top of mind for
Iowa, Republicans, they are the
1:19:07
economy they've suffered under
President Biden. It is the
1:19:10
southern border and the flow of
illegal migrants into the United
1:19:14
States. But overall, if you look
at national security, protecting
1:19:19
our borders, and pushing back
against our adversaries
1:19:23
worldwide, Nikki Haley does have
the experience there. And she's
1:19:26
really spoke to that to the Iowa
voters. So that may be one of
1:19:32
the tipping points that resonate
with so many different voters.
1:19:35
Let me try to get at the
question this way. Do you plan
1:19:38
to endorse whichever candidate
emerges as the winner after the
1:19:43
Iowa
1:19:44
Adam Curry: so are you going to
come out and endorse Trump?
1:19:49
John C Dvorak: That's pretty
much it. She says, let's get to
1:19:50
the question this way. Yeah. In
other words, she's really asking
1:19:53
the same question over and over
and
1:19:55
Adam Curry: over dog Are you a
maga Republican? By the way For
1:20:00
people who are new to the show,
we deconstruct media. So it's
1:20:03
fair game to deconstruct the
makeup
1:20:06
John C Dvorak: issue. Mega,
1:20:09
Adam Curry: mega Republican.
Well,
1:20:11
Unknown: it'll depend. I have
gone round and round. In my
1:20:15
mind. I do think that President
1:20:18
Adam Curry: would like a marble
round. What shall I do? Well,
1:20:23
Unknown: it'll depend. I have
gone round and round. In my
1:20:27
mind. I think
1:20:28
Adam Curry: Ambassador Ernst
sounds good. I probably should
1:20:32
be careful what I say. Do
1:20:33
Unknown: you think that
President Trump is going to when
1:20:36
we see such a large margin, but
it's not a foregone conclusion.
1:20:40
So we'll see who comes out the
winner here and the Iowa
1:20:43
caucuses. We'll know that
tomorrow night, and then we'll
1:20:46
know how to move forward. But
one thing we know as Iowa
1:20:50
Republicans is that we cannot
have Joe Biden in the White
1:20:54
House for Oh term, expertly
1:20:56
Adam Curry: done, she turns it
around. swivel, swivel back to
1:20:59
you. Kirsten Kristen Kristen
Welker. So just
1:21:02
Unknown: to be very clear,
though, oh, I'm
1:21:04
not giving up if Donald Trump
wins tomorrow night.
1:21:07
Would you endorse him, Senator?
Well, again, I am not going to
1:21:10
say that I need to review the
candidates very carefully.
1:21:16
Adam Curry: I have to review,
literally Hitler.
1:21:21
Unknown: I don't know the
margin, I guess I am assuming
1:21:24
that President Trump wins, but
it could be any one of these
1:21:28
fantastic candidates. So again,
we'll see who emerges I've made
1:21:32
up my decision on who I will
caucus for it is a private
1:21:35
ballot, and I would expect that
we'll have a very good turnout.
1:21:40
But again, Brian Preston, I'm
not going to tip my hand to who
1:21:44
I'm supporting. All right. Well,
as Donald Trump asked for your
1:21:47
endorsement,
1:21:48
Adam Curry: Brother, did you get
the call on the megaphone that
1:21:54
you get? So it goes
1:21:54
John C Dvorak: on and on and
then we're after this ends? This
1:21:57
is great. She goes on with the
same same series of credit and
1:22:01
clip this next group, you had to
stop somewhere. I had to stop.
1:22:05
But the next group goes, it
starts like this. Well, Donald
1:22:09
Trump says that he's going to
pardoned a January 6, are you
1:22:13
going to tell him not to? Oh, my
God. And she goes on and on
1:22:18
about January 6 in the party.
And you
1:22:20
Adam Curry: know what the thing
is, is here's the phone call
1:22:22
that that Joni Ernst got, hey,
we'd love for you to come on,
1:22:26
Meet the Press and taught you.
You're from Iowa. We'd love for
1:22:29
you to talk about the weather
and just give us a little bit of
1:22:31
color about what's going on.
Okay, that sounds great. She
1:22:35
goes on you endorsing Trump
Hitler.
1:22:41
John C Dvorak: Yeah, that's what
you said right there.
1:22:44
Adam Curry: That's how it
happens. Speaking of hands, a
1:22:47
lot of talk about hands.
1:22:50
John C Dvorak: Her hand hands
and hands
1:22:52
Adam Curry: a lot of hands hands
talking about hands about
1:22:55
Kirsten Kristen's hands. Not
Hands, hands, hands. Hands. Yes.
1:23:00
And you know, the things that
digits the hands. There was some
1:23:04
obsession over Trump's hand.
1:23:07
Unknown: We have any answer on
what button Donald? Donald Trump
1:23:10
has has. His hands are bleeding.
looks darker, no magic marker
1:23:18
because it looks like he has a
sore on his index finger there.
1:23:22
I don't know. Maybe it's magic
marker.
1:23:26
Adam Curry: It's like blood,
isn't it? I don't know. But I
1:23:31
love this. He has literal blood
on his hands. This was outside
1:23:35
the courtroom yesterday. Lisa,
1:23:38
Unknown: there was you know,
there was a point in time during
1:23:40
the day where Trump very
frustrated with Judge Kaplan
1:23:44
banged his hands down on the
table I doubt that that we're
1:23:49
seeing there come from that But
could they be exacerbated by
1:23:53
that? Perhaps?
1:23:54
Yeah, like a toddler having a
tantrum perhaps and causing
1:23:57
bleeding and please
1:24:00
John C Dvorak: the toddler
having a tantrum
1:24:05
Adam Curry: television has
gotten fun again. I did kind of
1:24:07
miss that. You know ever so
serious. Do more of this. This
1:24:13
is stick a
1:24:13
John C Dvorak: watch is funnier.
You're right. Yeah, I thought
1:24:17
about it. Yeah, it's
1:24:18
Adam Curry: much better. Keep
well,
1:24:19
John C Dvorak: here's my code.
You clip along those lines from
1:24:22
democracy. Now. We already had
the warning this is Trump is
1:24:25
going to be killing Americans.
1:24:27
Unknown: And it's multiple legal
woes, Donald Trump posted an all
1:24:31
caps message to his truth social
platform claiming, quote, a
1:24:36
President of the United States
must have full immunity. Even
1:24:40
for events that quote crossed
the line. The post reignited
1:24:45
fear of an authoritarian
crackdown on democracy if Trump
1:24:48
is reelected. The EX President
ended his rant by writing God
1:24:52
bless the Supreme Court. Trump
appointed three of the nine
1:24:57
sitting justices on the right
wing majority which is likely to
1:25:01
rule on Trump's eligibility to
appear on the 2024 ballot, as
1:25:05
well as whether he can be
shielded from prosecution. Ruth
1:25:09
Ben, get an NYU professor, an
expert on authoritarianism said
1:25:13
quote, Trump is telling
Americans very clearly that he
1:25:17
will be jailing and killing
Americans.
1:25:20
Adam Curry: That's the same lady
who was on with joy read.
1:25:22
John C Dvorak: Yep, lady, and
this time, she says she's gonna
1:25:25
be Trump's gonna be jailing and
killing Americans. Now, of
1:25:30
course, never mentioned,
obviously, is that Obama has
1:25:36
actually killed American
Americans with
1:25:38
Adam Curry: a drone with a drone
this drone.
1:25:42
John C Dvorak: This and and he
was never held accountable for
1:25:44
that, because this would apply
to him more than Trump. Trump
1:25:48
hasn't killed anybody like Obama
did all but he's going to, he's
1:25:52
going to die or because of that
NYU professor who's, who's the
1:25:56
expert. I have seen it before.
1:25:59
Adam Curry: I have an opinion
from Rob, the constitutional
1:26:03
lawyer who went through the
entire Trump briefing as filed
1:26:09
with the Supreme Court. And I
have an I would like to share
1:26:14
that because this is the kind of
stuff that you won't get from
1:26:18
these overpaid news models.
Let's be honest, they're making
1:26:22
bank it can't last much longer
with those ratings. But those
1:26:26
guys are making a lot more money
than some podcasters Joy
1:26:29
John C Dvorak: Reid is making
more money than we are. Yes,
1:26:31
definitely. And she has what
probably 1/10 The audience. So,
1:26:37
Adam Curry: Rob, if maybe so I
put his whole analysis in the
1:26:40
show notes. I will just give you
some of the highlights quick
1:26:43
breakdown of Trump's five
arguments. One, the President
1:26:46
isn't subject to the Article
Three of the 14th amendment.
1:26:51
This was expected of course.
And, among other things, he
1:26:57
looks to other constitutional
provisions, suggesting that the
1:27:00
President is not an officer who
will be subject to Article
1:27:04
Three, that an officer can only
be someone who was appointed by
1:27:07
the President. That's
interesting. Trump didn't commit
1:27:12
an insurrection. Trump says that
it should. SCOTUS may not have
1:27:20
to reach this issue. But Trump
says that the Supreme Court
1:27:23
should otherwise it might leave
wiggle room for legislators to
1:27:27
use section three as a cudgel to
bar President Trump from the
1:27:31
general election ballot. So he
wants them to rule on that. In
1:27:37
fighting the Trump isn't
insurrectionists this is the
1:27:39
interesting part, the trial
court this isn't Colorado. Do
1:27:42
you know how they so it was
initially the the court said no,
1:27:47
he was not an he is not an
insurrectionist. And then it was
1:27:51
overturned. And it was
overturned. I didn't know this
1:27:55
based on expert testimony from
Peter shimmy, who was a
1:27:59
sociology professor who devotes
his existence to political
1:28:04
extremism and the communication
styles of far right political
1:28:09
extremists. Among other things,
me, opined that Trump and his
1:28:14
followers have a coded language
on doublespeak, so it's not what
1:28:21
he said. It's the messages he
sent through his coded language
1:28:27
and telepathy perhaps to speak
for sure yes, to do His January
1:28:32
6, insurrectionists. That is
what that's what it was based
1:28:37
on, based on
1:28:39
John C Dvorak: their nuts these
people.
1:28:42
Adam Curry: Trump furthermore
states only Congress can enforce
1:28:45
Article Three a quote sums this
argument perfectly. A president
1:28:50
candidates eligibility for
office should not be resolved by
1:28:53
having a state trial court
evaluate opinion testimony from
1:28:57
a sociology professor. I think
that that says it right there.
1:29:03
Section three does not prohibit
candidates from running for
1:29:06
office. Only from holding
office. This was an interesting
1:29:09
one. Trump is interesting that
even if Article Three were to
1:29:14
apply, it wouldn't stop a
purported insurrectionists from
1:29:17
appearing on the ballot. I don't
think anyone can argue against
1:29:22
that. And the Colorado judiciary
has final point violated the
1:29:27
electors clause because the
state legislature did not give
1:29:30
it the power to order the
Secretary of State to take Trump
1:29:34
off the ballot. This goes right
back to Mike Johnson, you recall
1:29:38
he said Hey, all these
violations took place during the
1:29:41
election, including the
Secretary of State of just
1:29:47
assuming power, in this case to
take Trump off
1:29:50
John C Dvorak: the ballot. Same
thing happened in Maine. Yes.
1:29:53
Adam Curry: So Rob, thank you.
We love you brother for doing
1:29:56
this. This is great. It's very
valuable because now No one will
1:30:00
give you this analysis on these
overpaid news model shows. And,
1:30:07
and he just he does this before
breakfast. Excuse me, let me
1:30:11
just do some analysis with no
agenda show. So he does. But the
1:30:16
Trump derangement syndrome of
course reaches Australia.
1:30:22
Unknown: Former US President
Donald Trump has claimed to have
1:30:24
saved the planet from nuclear
holocaust and a newly released
1:30:28
civil deposition videos
1:30:30
of lives. I think you would have
had nuclear holocaust. If I
1:30:32
didn't deal with North Korea, I
think you would have had a
1:30:35
nuclear war if I weren't
elected. And I think you might
1:30:38
have a nuclear war. Now if you
want to know that.
1:30:41
The video was recorded last year
but has just been made public.
1:30:44
It is part of the New York
Attorney General suit accusing
1:30:47
Trump of falsely inflating his
assets to get bank loans.
1:30:53
Adam Curry: The stuff they're
putting out and that they're
1:30:55
connecting is it's just it's
entertainment. It's
1:30:59
entertainment.
1:31:02
John C Dvorak: more entertaining
by the minute. Yes.
1:31:04
Adam Curry: Then we have the
Georgia District Attorney Fanny
1:31:09
Willis. She's the DA Yeah,
1:31:12
John C Dvorak: she's the state
attorney.
1:31:14
Adam Curry: General. Okay. ABC
Pierre Thomas did a did a story
1:31:18
on her misconduct allegations,
which doesn't get as much play
1:31:22
as it could. I guess it's also
another lovely lovely soap
1:31:27
opera.
1:31:27
Unknown: Tonight a Georgia judge
ordering Fulton County District
1:31:30
Attorney Fani Willis to answer
allegations she is improperly
1:31:34
engaged in a personal romantic
relationship. One of the special
1:31:38
prosecutors she hired to help
her trial the sprawling election
1:31:41
interference case against former
President Donald Trump and his
1:31:45
18 co defendants. The
accusations against Willis came
1:31:48
in the filing but one of those
co defendants former Trump
1:31:51
campaign aide Mike Roman without
providing evidence he claims
1:31:55
Willis engaged in a secret
relationship with special
1:31:58
prosecutor Nathan and Wade who
are offices paid $650,000 to
1:32:03
help try the case. And that
Willis personally benefited
1:32:06
because wait allegedly use some
of that money to take care of
1:32:09
our lavish vacations. Willis has
yet to formally respond to the
1:32:13
accusations but speaking at a
church service honoring Dr.
1:32:16
Martin Luther King Jr. She did
say this. Nevermind. Law
1:32:22
in perfect service has composed
a team that wins wins and
1:32:31
winning.
1:32:32
And she implied wait is only
coming under scrutiny because he
1:32:36
is black. The other two special
prosecutor she appointed our
1:32:39
white
1:32:40
three special counsel This is my
right to take them all the same
1:32:45
hourly rate.
1:32:49
Willis did not confirm or deny a
romantic relationship with Wade,
1:32:53
but called him a great friend
and a great lawyer. All three
1:32:57
of these special counselors are
superstars. But I'm just asking
1:33:02
God isn't that someone will
never see a black man is
1:33:06
qualified no matter his
achievements.
1:33:10
The defense attorney who filed a
complaint against Willis says
1:33:13
the accusation has nothing to do
with race. The judge has called
1:33:16
on district attorney Willis to
respond by February 2. And a
1:33:19
hearing has been set for
February 15. I love how when
1:33:23
they
1:33:23
Adam Curry: they play a clip of
a black American who's a
1:33:31
Christian clearly in church.
There's never any problem. It's
1:33:35
only the white ones who are the
problem is this this is I admit,
1:33:42
I hope people don't watch too
much of this. This can't be good
1:33:46
for your for your noggin. Pew
musket. It's
1:33:49
John C Dvorak: funny, you
mentioned that what you just
1:33:51
said because there used to be it
there's a bunch of things that
1:33:55
the immediate tribe does
everything they can to ignore.
1:33:58
And one of them was when we had
I think was Prop Eight out here
1:34:01
in California which was going to
make gay marriage illegal, which
1:34:06
was overturned and beaten brown
that they had to run it two or
1:34:10
three times. They failed always
failed and it it ended up
1:34:14
passing gay marriage was illegal
in California based on the
1:34:18
public will. And they they
blamed it on the Mormons when
1:34:23
they could have just as easily
blamed it on the black churches
1:34:26
who are all against it. They
were against gay marriage in
1:34:29
California, the black churches
and they may put up the biggest
1:34:32
fuss and the old bloke voted for
the bill that make it illegal.
1:34:36
And it was just ignored. And
1:34:38
Adam Curry: and yeah, they
oppose same sex marriage that
1:34:40
was that property
1:34:42
John C Dvorak: I think was Prop
Eight.
1:34:46
Adam Curry: Ah, man,
1:34:48
John C Dvorak: but you know,
it's just the way it is now.
1:34:49
This is Fannie Mae. The way that
report for maybe there was ABC,
1:34:54
NBC, ABC, NBC, they there's
plenty of evidence it was in the
1:34:59
it was in the dark. arguments
set up by the guy's wife who's
1:35:02
divorcing him. The whole the
informations in there, she's
1:35:06
pissed that there's this affair
going on. And then the other
1:35:09
thing is there's now a bunch of,
of, I don't know what to go
1:35:14
there's a statement as credit
card statement floating around
1:35:17
from the guy showing the ticket,
the airline tickets he bought
1:35:21
for Fanny Willis with her name's
Ben Fanny, which is not, which
1:35:25
is not phony it up. And no,
there's plenty of evidence. And
1:35:29
so this this oh, there's no
evidence. This is these guys in
1:35:33
there. No evidence. It's just be
it's just, it's getting what
1:35:37
they learned because I'm the
master of no evidence.
1:35:40
Adam Curry: You. You're the one.
You're the know me. In my
1:35:44
John C Dvorak: case, there was
no evidence. Oh, you go. You go.
1:35:49
I'm not saying there's no
evidence when there's evidence.
1:35:53
There's
1:35:53
Adam Curry: just no evidence.
1:35:56
John C Dvorak: Now, a lot of
newspapers are having issues.
1:36:00
Adam Curry: Oh, are they going
out of business? Yeah.
1:36:03
John C Dvorak: And it's because
of Republicans.
1:36:06
Adam Curry: They're the ones
putting them out of business.
1:36:08
Oh, this is to
1:36:09
John C Dvorak: play this LA
Times thing. I'll talk a little
1:36:11
more about it. Is this the LA
Times? Whoa, yeah.
1:36:15
Adam Curry: LA Times was Hold
on.
1:36:17
Unknown: Here we go. In
California, United staff of the
1:36:21
Los Angeles Times are holding a
one day multi city walkout today
1:36:24
to protest massive plan job
cuts. It's the first ever
1:36:28
newsroom work stoppage in the
history of the LA Times. Over
1:36:32
100 journalists are about 20% of
the newsroom are reportedly at
1:36:36
risk of losing their jobs. This
comes less than a year after the
1:36:39
paper cuts 74 newsroom jobs the
LA Times is owned by the
1:36:43
billionaire Patrick soon Shang.
1:36:48
John C Dvorak: So let's go to
news. Wow. Newspaper fails PBS
1:36:52
and then we got a three parter
here that kind of brings out
1:36:54
some interesting points.
1:36:57
Unknown: elitist voices of
America. This is NPR
1:37:02
or PBS this week is brought
fresh questions about the
1:37:05
futures have some of the
country's most storied
1:37:08
newspapers. The Baltimore Sun
has a new owner but his
1:37:11
political background has sparked
concerns about what the 187 year
1:37:15
old newspaper could become. And
staffers at the Los Angeles
1:37:18
Times walked off the job today
to protest planned layoffs.
1:37:22
That's after its top editor
stepped down following reported
1:37:25
tensions with the papers
billionaire owner. And Marie
1:37:29
Lipinski is a former editor at
the Chicago Tribune. She's now
1:37:32
the curator of the Nieman
foundation for journalism at
1:37:36
Harvard. Thanks so much for
being with us. My pleasure. So
1:37:39
the new Baltimore Sun owner
David D. Smith, I think it's
1:37:43
fair to say raised eyebrows at
his initial staff meeting where
1:37:47
he reportedly insulted the
journalism that's being produced
1:37:50
by the paper and told the
staffers to focus on profit. Is
1:37:55
this type of ownership model, a
sustainable one for newspapers
1:37:59
moving forward where the super
wealthy swoop in and buy them
1:38:02
up?
1:38:03
No.
1:38:04
You know, billionaire owners do
not equal a business strategy.
1:38:10
Adam Curry: This is interesting.
I love that you that you brought
1:38:14
this in, because we've talked
about the history of newspapers,
1:38:17
certainly in the United States,
yellow journalism, rich people
1:38:22
always own newspapers, and they
owned it, and then we're not shy
1:38:26
about it. It's like, Hey, I'm
pushing my agenda in my
1:38:30
newspaper. Right? Yeah.
1:38:32
John C Dvorak: That's that's the
history and that's what brought
1:38:34
about the development of J
schools Chad J schools jerk
1:38:39
which were designed to keep that
from happening because of just
1:38:44
the newspapers on whoever was
publishing and we're very skewed
1:38:47
Hold on. Oh, my God, it was
skewing left skewing right, but
1:38:51
it's skewing mostly right. So
let's correct the bad we can't
1:38:54
have that I
1:38:55
Adam Curry: was gonna say the J
schools was not to be impartial.
1:38:58
It was, uh, to counter right
wing extremism.
1:39:03
John C Dvorak: I believe that's
true.
1:39:07
Adam Curry: People now people
like Jay Rosen and Prof. G. And
1:39:12
once that other guys who've had
to set that other guy for who's
1:39:16
this week in Google guy. Isn't
he a part of that? Yeah, he's
1:39:19
John C Dvorak: a cabal.
1:39:20
Adam Curry: Yeah. Guys with bad
teeth, mainly.
1:39:23
John C Dvorak: Now. Here we go.
Here we go with part two. There
1:39:28
Unknown: have been a number of
them in the last decade or so
1:39:31
some of whom have had very good
intentions. And in some cases,
1:39:36
there has been some success. But
this idea that you stop
1:39:40
John C Dvorak: stopping
stopping. So you have to read
1:39:44
between the lines when you
listen to this woman. The ones
1:39:46
with good intentions are all the
left wingers Lorraine jobs
1:39:51
Powell. She's got good
intentions because she's a left
1:39:54
wing Winger. She's a she's a
very Democrat. The guys who took
1:39:59
over the New York Times I'm so
over the Salzburg they got good
1:40:02
intentions because they're left
wing. The Jeff Bezos, who's done
1:40:07
I don't know if he's left wing
or white ring light Rick white
1:40:10
right ring.
1:40:11
Adam Curry: He's white ring.
1:40:12
John C Dvorak: He's a white
ringer.
1:40:13
Adam Curry: There's our show
title white ring,
1:40:15
John C Dvorak: white ringer. So
he's, we don't know. But he's
1:40:19
lets things slide and it's a
left wing publication by.
1:40:25
Adam Curry: But there there's
all kinds of problems now with
1:40:28
with the Washington Post and
Bezos. Yeah,
1:40:31
John C Dvorak: because they
didn't know. And they're turning
1:40:35
on Bezos, which cracks me up
because he saved the paper, the
1:40:39
pay would be out of business if
it wasn't for him. Yes. And so
1:40:42
now you have this guy, the guy
who took over the Baltimore Sun
1:40:46
is the same ownership that owns
Sinclair Broadcasting. Sound
1:40:52
like right wingers, and they are
right wingers. But heaven
1:40:57
forbid, that, you know, we have
this, we have any kind of right
1:41:01
wing representation of Fox. And
that's why Democrats Hello. So
1:41:08
we have none by Okay. So let I'm
sorry, let's please start over
1:41:13
again. Sure.
1:41:14
Unknown: There have been a
number of them in the last
1:41:16
decade or so some of whom have
had very good intentions. And in
1:41:20
some cases, there has been some
success. But this idea that your
1:41:26
success in one realm will
translate to a success in
1:41:30
another in this case, newspaper,
publishing, is not axiomatic.
1:41:37
And I think, from all accounts,
it was a rough start between Mr.
1:41:42
Smith in the newsroom, he talked
about not having read the paper
1:41:45
hardly at all, and had a lot of
criticisms, not just of the
1:41:52
paper, but of the community. And
I think that's a rocky place to
1:41:56
start. And there wasn't a lot of
detail about what else except
1:42:03
let's make money and change that
the newsroom could really sink
1:42:08
their teeth into I think it's
the mission is not clear.
1:42:11
And David Smith is also
executive chair of Sinclair
1:42:15
Broadcasting, which has drawn
criticism for injecting
1:42:18
conservative and right wing
commentary into its local news
1:42:23
broadcasts that owns over 200
local TV stations, what concerns
1:42:27
do you have about how that might
impact the sun's journalism
1:42:31
moving forward?
1:42:33
I think, you know, we have
examples historically, where
1:42:37
newspaper owners had political
agendas. I think the question
1:42:42
is, where do those play out? Do
they play out on the editorial
1:42:45
page where we come to expect
political endorsements and
1:42:50
political campaigns as it were
played out by owners and
1:42:54
publishers? And I think that's a
that's something we're
1:42:57
accustomed to.
1:42:59
Adam Curry: This is, this is
quite interesting, because
1:43:01
she's, I think we might have
some historical examples of that
1:43:06
pleased lady. And I want to say
something about the New York
1:43:09
Times. The ownership of the New
York Times is unimportant
1:43:12
because the lady who came in
who's running the show there,
1:43:17
and she brought in a team, she
was really smart sheet news.
1:43:22
Newspapers used to be subsidized
by the classified ads. That's
1:43:28
how it worked. That's where the
money much that's where the
1:43:30
money came from. And I went to
the Tribune Company when I was
1:43:33
selling internet and websites.
And we all said, hey, look, you
1:43:38
know, Craigslist is going to eat
your lunch.
1:43:43
Unknown: knew the internet as
true. Whereby the internet,
1:43:49
Adam Curry: we have story
server, okay, fine. Then Then,
1:43:53
of course, that's exactly what
happened. And they lost their
1:43:56
revenue. That was the the news
has always been a loss leader
1:43:59
until CNN showed it could be
profitable. And everyone tried
1:44:03
to make it profitable, which has
never really worked. And the
1:44:06
only organization that I'm aware
of, is the New York Times who
1:44:09
only in recent history, they did
some really smart things. They
1:44:13
bought the big sports outfit for
four or $500 million. They
1:44:18
bought Wordle and all and all
the games another multi 100
1:44:23
million dollar deal. And Tina
pays the New York Times
1:44:28
Corporation money because she
likes Wordle she does not like
1:44:31
the New York Times. But she is
subsidizing their newsroom. And
1:44:37
and what the late I forget her
name, but she says hey, every
1:44:41
first dollar goes to the
newsroom. And I believe that so
1:44:45
they're, they're fine. People
aren't paying the New York
1:44:48
Times, necessarily. The majority
of the revenue is not coming
1:44:52
from people who love their
reporting. No, they love word
1:44:55
all and they love sports scores.
That's why and I I think that is
1:45:00
genius. All of these newspapers
should be looking for those
1:45:04
types of opportunities instead
of this, but
1:45:07
John C Dvorak: they're often
given the opportunity. I don't
1:45:09
know if you I think you were at
the meeting that we had when you
1:45:12
were at WME vo at the Chronicle,
where they admitted.
1:45:17
Adam Curry: Oh, yeah, but that
was that Hearst? Hearst? Yeah.
1:45:21
They
1:45:21
John C Dvorak: admitted that
they were that Craig Craig
1:45:24
Newmark of Craigslist. Yeah,
walked into their offices and
1:45:27
said, Hey, look what I'm doing
here. He said by me, did he say
1:45:30
by me? Yeah, you guys, do you
guys want this? You can I'll
1:45:33
sell it to you. And they said,
Now we know how to do
1:45:37
classifieds. Don't worry about
it. This is typical of the
1:45:43
newspapers that can even they're
so expert at seeing the trends
1:45:50
that they can't even see the
trends leading to their own
1:45:53
demise is That's how bad they
are. And that's why people have
1:45:57
turned to podcasts. And, and and
my
1:46:00
Adam Curry: mind you they try
they tried that was the carve
1:46:03
out of I think section 203. They
tried to destroy the whole
1:46:07
concept by making Backpage and
Craigslist have this is human
1:46:12
trafficking, human trafficking
can't have that human
1:46:14
trafficking, not saying it's not
entirely true. But that's that's
1:46:18
how they lobbied Congress put
laws in place to get rid of
1:46:24
classified ads for people to
remember that. Yeah, they
1:46:29
John C Dvorak: get rid of all of
them. That's why I don't even
1:46:31
know, I have no idea where
hookers even advertise anymore.
1:46:35
Adam Curry: Facebook
marketplace.
1:46:38
John C Dvorak: I, again, along
with my 13 months of not having
1:46:44
a phone. I have never had a
Facebook account. And I refuse
1:46:49
to get one. But yet,
1:46:50
Adam Curry: you know exactly the
price of the hookers in Davos.
1:46:53
Hmm,
1:46:54
John C Dvorak: no, it was it was
in the newspaper. 2500 is what
1:46:57
they said. I don't know. I
haven't been to Davos. And I
1:47:01
haven't. And I'm not going to
pay that. So let's start with
1:47:06
Adam Curry: what will you pay?
1:47:07
John C Dvorak: I'm not paying
that.
1:47:11
Adam Curry: All right. final
clip. Yes. But third clip, the
1:47:18
final clip? Oh, yes. I'm sorry.
Yes, doesn't doesn't need any
1:47:20
setup, we just just roll it
roll, where it
1:47:24
Unknown: gets really dangerous
and interferes with the
1:47:28
reporting obligations of a
newspaper is when you see that
1:47:32
agenda creep in to the news. And
We have certainly seen that. You
1:47:39
know, we've seen national
campaigns,
1:47:41
Adam Curry: like Joy Reid
talking about Trump is Hitler.
1:47:44
We're
1:47:45
Unknown: all out at Sinclair,
for instance, where all the
1:47:50
markets or many of the markets
were required to read these
1:47:53
identical statements about fake
news, which effectively sounded
1:47:58
like an attack on the press that
very much mimicked the one that
1:48:03
President Trump was was voicing
at the time. So I think that's,
1:48:07
you know, there are differences.
You can you can play. Wow,
1:48:09
Adam Curry: hold on a second.
That's really interesting. So
1:48:13
she's saying that, because we've
we've we've had that that super
1:48:17
clip, everyone has seen it? Oh,
yeah. The clips are great. Of
1:48:20
all the news models saying the
same thing. She thinks that
1:48:24
that's only Sinclair
Broadcasting.
1:48:29
John C Dvorak: That's what she's
actually saying
1:48:31
Unknown: is interested, like, an
attack on the press that very
1:48:35
much mimicked the one that
President Trump was was voicing
1:48:39
at the time. So I think that's,
you know, there are differences
1:48:42
you can you can play out a
political agenda, or have an
1:48:45
agenda around issues in the
community on the editorial page
1:48:49
columnist do that, where it
really becomes a problem and
1:48:53
where a community is not served
as when that plays out in the
1:48:57
news columns.
1:48:58
Let's talk about the LA Times
because we mentioned that
1:49:00
walkout today it's the first
work stoppage in that papers 143
1:49:05
year history, what's the impact
on the landscape of news in Los
1:49:09
Angeles and the surrounding
region? The
1:49:11
walkout is an interesting
strategy. But I guess my
1:49:16
question is, who's paying
attention to that? You know,
1:49:21
those of us in the media are
paying attention to it. I hope
1:49:26
that there is a sustained
conversation with the community
1:49:29
though. We have mounting data
that show us that when
1:49:33
newspapers are diminished or
close in communities. There's an
1:49:37
increase in corruption for
instance, violations like
1:49:41
pollution violations, EEOC
violations. I wish that we could
1:49:48
pivot and have that conversation
when newsrooms are under attack,
1:49:52
or when we have shrinking
resources because that's the
1:49:55
real cost.
1:49:58
Adam Curry: Oh lady, We have a
newspaper here in
1:50:02
Fredericksburg. The frilly
little bitty one. Yeah. And they
1:50:06
they make an actual paper. It is
the thing called it's like the
1:50:12
front wrapper. It's
1:50:13
John C Dvorak: called the show
it's
1:50:14
Adam Curry: not called the
shoppers like the Fredericksburg
1:50:16
Radio Flyer Gazette. Okay, it's
called John habit now. It's
1:50:22
something it's like the Radio
Flyer or whatever. And, you
1:50:26
know, it runs of course this
subscription revenue. The thing
1:50:30
a lot of people look at it
online, they have a daily
1:50:33
newsletter with some with some
highlighters. Yeah, what's like,
1:50:37
yo, hey, register for the, you
know, for the cutest goat
1:50:41
contests and stuff like that.
But the people who advertise in
1:50:45
it are all the local retailers.
What's not what's not in there.
1:50:49
They never have a police
blotter. They never talk about
1:50:52
DUIs me oh, there's like, well,
we arrested so many people last
1:50:57
month. But this is all this
domestic violence is
1:51:00
homelessness. There's drug
problems. There's all kinds of
1:51:03
stuff in a little town like
Fredericksburg with 15,000
1:51:06
people, but they won't print it
because it's bad for tourism.
1:51:13
John C Dvorak: So who still read
the paper? Yeah, yeah, if
1:51:17
they're there to read the paper,
they're already tourists. I
1:51:20
don't see how it's gonna be bad
for tourists telling you that's
1:51:23
what they say. That's one of
that's a logical inconsistency
1:51:26
as far as well. Why
1:51:27
Adam Curry: don't they report on
the bad things of Fredericksburg
1:51:30
John C Dvorak: because they
don't want to hurt anyone's
1:51:32
feelings. Oh, is that it? Okay,
it's taken over by left wingers.
1:51:35
Your left wingers Oh, net paper
now?
1:51:38
Adam Curry: Yeah. I'm not sure.
I'm not sure. I think is just
1:51:42
lies. Bad reporting. Bad news.
This is news by itself. Isn't
1:51:49
it? Never anything factual?
Very. Yeah.
1:51:53
John C Dvorak: Well, they would
the same thing happened to the
1:51:55
Port Angeles had a pretty nice
newspaper. And then it got you
1:51:59
know, they couldn't deal with
the identity. They can't sell
1:52:02
ads. They didn't know what they
were doing. They went online
1:52:05
mostly and it became a piece of
crap. It doesn't cover anything.
1:52:10
Adam Curry: Yeah. Let me see
what the headlines are. It's the
1:52:14
Fredericksburg standards, the
standard standard radio posts.
1:52:19
That's what it is standard
radio. Radio Flyer. Yes. That's
1:52:24
a sled You're right. Um, let's
see changes at the Y Okay, let's
1:52:30
see what else we have county
will begin new library Chapter
1:52:33
New Year's Eve Shindig. Oh, this
I have old news on the on the
1:52:36
front page. Council green lights
Chick fil A. That's gonna that's
1:52:42
gonna be big. Green Lighting
Chick fil A in Fredericksburg.
1:52:47
So that's that's telling. It's a
tourist newspaper. They the real
1:52:52
estate ads and stuff like that.
Real Estate and real estate.
1:52:56
John C Dvorak: Do they have this
story? Here's a good one. Have
1:52:59
you heard this one? This is the
Eevee scam. The Eevee scam. No,
1:53:03
I have not.
1:53:04
Unknown: Alright, here's another
story. There's a bombshell
1:53:06
electric vehicle.
1:53:08
Adam Curry: bombshell. Oh, no.
Is that Larry Kudlow? Well, I
1:53:10
listened to Kudlow all the time.
It must be a true story
1:53:13
Unknown: eating scandal. Turns
out Biden's EVs aren't near as
1:53:17
efficient as they claim. Fox
Business Gerri Willis has all
1:53:21
the details Jerry what you got?
Well
1:53:23
and listen cheating scandals.
They seem to be a dime a dozen
1:53:25
right in the past eight years,
two major automakers were
1:53:29
pursued by regulators for
misrepresenting emissions
1:53:32
records. Volkswagen and Daimler
paid billions and settlements
1:53:35
and fines. But now to Washington
attorneys say the government has
1:53:40
its fingers on the scale. When
it comes to fuel efficiency of
1:53:43
electric cars. It's the
government cutting corners and
1:53:47
misleading the public listen.
1:53:49
Well, it is a form of corporate
welfare a hidden tax on
1:53:53
consumers. The whole point of
this multiplier they call it is
1:53:57
to privatize the benefits so
Tesla can sell credits and pass
1:54:03
on those savings to its buyers,
but socialize the cost. Here's
1:54:09
how it works under the
Department of Energy rule
1:54:11
carmakers multiply the
efficiency of electric cars by a
1:54:15
factor of 6.67 test to 2022
Tesla Model y in a lab and
1:54:20
you'll find the vehicle getting
the equivalent of 65 miles per
1:54:24
gallon.
1:54:25
But according to the government,
the model Y is equivalent fuel
1:54:28
efficiency is 430 miles per
gallon. Now wondering why you
1:54:33
haven't heard about this before
wonder why hidden buried deep in
1:54:36
the Federal Register on page
36,987 of volume 65 probably
1:54:44
didn't see that digit. But wait,
it gets worse. Not only is the
1:54:49
government helping companies
exaggerate their efficiency.
1:54:52
They're also handing out
compliance credits on the basis
1:54:55
of those scores, which are
tradable for get this cash The
1:55:00
credits amount to billions and
billions of dollars. Connie says
1:55:03
Tesla's whole loan is some 2
billion. We've reached out to
1:55:06
Tesla, the Big Three automakers
as well as the Department of
1:55:09
Energy for comment. We're still
waiting for a response, but
1:55:12
we'll pass it along when we get
it, Larry. Man,
1:55:16
that is an awesome report.
1:55:20
Adam Curry: Awesome. Well, that
is not surprising, of course.
1:55:25
No.
1:55:27
John C Dvorak: More money for
musk. I mean, this guy knows how
1:55:30
to milk the government coffers.
Well, for the
1:55:34
Adam Curry: rich people in our
audience, but I have some good
1:55:37
news. A friend of mine works at
a small accounting firm with
1:55:42
mainly rich people. And they've
they've been briefing their
1:55:47
accountants starting this year
2024 as part of the inflation
1:55:53
Reduction Act, there will be
almost anything you can think of
1:55:59
that is pro climate change. For
instance, let's say you want to
1:56:04
insulate your home with spray
foam the materials and labor
1:56:09
50% 50% of what you pay will be
tax deductible of material and
1:56:17
labor. The estimates are the
subsidies will equal a trillion
1:56:22
dollars in 2024. Wow, a trillion
dollars and it's like almost
1:56:28
anything if you think if you buy
an Eevee they may even give you
1:56:31
half of that in tax credits. But
mainly Bonanza yes if you got
1:56:38
money if you have money then Oh
yeah, it's a bonanza so you want
1:56:43
to put a charger in your home?
And if you're if your car blows
1:56:48
up I'll give him 50% tax credit
for your burned down home I
1:56:51
mean, it's great. Meanwhile,
Ford has cut their their F 150
1:56:58
Lightning Evie truck production
again,
1:57:00
John C Dvorak: no one wants
course no one wants Nobody wants
1:57:03
a electric truck. No one wants
1:57:05
Adam Curry: any electric
vehicles anymore. They're
1:57:07
they're falling out of vogue.
And rightly so. They are falling
1:57:12
out of vogue as what
1:57:14
John C Dvorak: was promised just
in time for the Chinese invasion
1:57:17
of electric cars. Yeah,
1:57:18
Adam Curry: which is gonna cause
fires and all kinds of stuff.
1:57:22
And it was a lie the lie the EVs
in general Yeah, okay. But the
1:57:28
lie was better battery
technology is on the way they're
1:57:32
still filling up triple A
batteries into double A
1:57:35
batteries in the cells. It's the
same stuff. Yeah, they have not
1:57:41
improved they haven't
1:57:41
John C Dvorak: really developed
any battery technology. Oh,
1:57:45
since the 1800s and except for
some atomic batteries which are
1:57:49
coming down but whether they can
be ever made practicals and
1:57:53
other How about
1:57:53
Adam Curry: the super
capacitors? Is that still
1:57:57
John C Dvorak: if one of those
things blows up it up take the
1:57:59
car in half the neighborhood
with it unlike the batteries
1:58:03
Yeah, super capacitors are 10
times more dangerous than the
1:58:08
battery
1:58:09
Adam Curry: nice.
1:58:11
John C Dvorak: This is like just
like driving around with a bomb
1:58:14
with a fuse lip.
1:58:16
Adam Curry: I have a story here
from New York from Long Island
1:58:19
that Long Long Island Long
Island Long Island Long Island I
1:58:24
said it right that's getting a
good guy Island. And now this
1:58:29
depending on what side of the of
vaccinations for children, the
1:58:34
what I think is very aggressive
scheduled seems like seems like
1:58:38
children have not gotten
healthier with the increase.
1:58:42
Correlation is not causation.
But it seems like you know maybe
1:58:46
is we've given kids too many
vaccinations. Thank Now what's
1:58:50
interesting about this, this
well, so this story is this
1:58:53
midwife who had a clinic and she
of course helps midwife children
1:58:58
into birthing into the, into the
universe. And she had given 1500
1:59:05
Children estimates instead of
vaccines, had given them
1:59:10
homeopathic pellets. So there
was they were not being
1:59:14
vaccinated. But I want you to
listen to this report. And tell
1:59:18
me what is the fallacy of of the
reporting and of the people who
1:59:24
think this is an outrage what is
the fallacy of this
1:59:27
Unknown: Baldwin midwifery is
Jeannette brains practice where
1:59:30
she helps women birth babies at
home, but a state investigation
1:59:33
found Breanne falsified vaccine
records for nearly 1500
1:59:38
Children, giving students
homeopathic pellets instead of
1:59:41
required vaccinations.
1:59:43
I honestly didn't even think
that it was open. Yeah. And to
1:59:47
hear about it as crazy.
1:59:48
According to state officials
Breen had patients all over New
1:59:51
York State as far as Erie
County, but the majority of
1:59:54
false vaccinations are on Long
Island 488 And NASA and 300 and
2:00:00
45 in Suffolk
2:00:01
mama teacher so it's even even
worse because it's so important
2:00:05
to have your kids vaccinated and
to lie about into other kids in
2:00:08
danger is
2:00:09
is horrible. Obviously, I'm not
happy about it because we all
2:00:13
vaccinate our kids for a reason.
And if they're falsifying and
2:00:17
it's not, it's not right. Yeah,
this
2:00:20
John C Dvorak: isn't Yeah, many
2:00:21
Unknown: were shocked to hear
about the scheme, which
2:00:23
allegedly falsified mandatory
vaccines, like Polio, measles
2:00:27
and the chickenpox which are
required to attend school. And
2:00:31
the state says they've contacted
300 school districts in New York
2:00:36
State, letting them know that
there are children in their
2:00:39
schools that may have false
vaccination records. NASA's
2:00:43
Health Department sent this
notice to school districts
2:00:45
directing them to exclude
students who are out of
2:00:47
compliance, immediately report
to the county and tell parents
2:00:51
to vaccinate their kids. It's
not fair, I guess, to lie about
2:00:55
certain things.
2:00:56
I mean, it's good to have your
kids up to date and stuff into
2:00:58
the required stuff. But
everybody's different. Parents
2:01:01
who do vaccinate their children
are concerned about these
2:01:04
parents putting others at risk.
2:01:06
During class with others, we're
thinking they're in a setting
2:01:10
with equally vaccinated children
and teachers. So yeah, but you
2:01:16
potentially are being selfish
and harming other people. Breen
2:01:19
agreed to pay a $300,000 Fine,
her attorney said she has no
2:01:22
comment beyond what is in the
settlement.
2:01:25
Adam Curry: So I'm going to
presume that the parents knew
2:01:28
that she was giving false
vaccine records and giving them
2:01:31
the homeopathic things and
treatments instead. But when you
2:01:38
have a parent who says, Well,
this is dangerous. You're
2:01:43
putting children next to my
child who's vaccinated. Do you
2:01:48
not believe the vaccine works?
If the vaccine works, then you
2:01:54
have nothing to worry about.
Right? This is what I don't
2:01:59
understand. It
2:02:01
John C Dvorak: never gets
explained. Let's go back to
2:02:03
1969.
2:02:06
Adam Curry: The Moon Landing No,
the
2:02:09
John C Dvorak: Brady Bunch.
2:02:10
Adam Curry: The Brady Bunch. Oh,
hold on a second. Here
2:02:13
John C Dvorak: is a scene from
The Brady Bunch. Yes, one of my
2:02:16
favorite sci fi years ago when
the measles and by the way, if
2:02:21
you look at the documentation
for the 60s, the measles was not
2:02:24
eradicated. It was a nuisance,
but no one was dying from it
2:02:29
somehow even though there was a
vaccine developed in the early
2:02:32
60s I think it was released
around 6364 But it wasn't picked
2:02:36
up on in fact a measles vaccine
wasn't picked up on probably
2:02:40
until after the 80s when when
there was a pure when the cap
2:02:45
when the media was captured by
the pharmaceutical companies
2:02:48
after after prescription drug
legalization of advertising took
2:02:54
place in 1983. And before then,
it was just measles and
2:03:00
chickenpox for that matter. Were
to mumps and mumps and mumps.
2:03:04
Were just nuisances. And here's
an example of what a nuisance it
2:03:07
was.
2:03:10
Unknown: Peter?
2:03:12
What are you doing from school?
They sent me home. Measles.
2:03:16
Let's see there. Measles are a
strange case of red freckles.
2:03:20
I've got a temperature.
2:03:21
They told me 101.1 What's the
record? Nevermind.
2:03:25
Oh, are you sure it's the
measles? Well, he certainly got
2:03:28
all the symptoms, a slight
temperature, a lot of dots and a
2:03:31
great big smile. A great big
smile. No school for a few days.
2:03:35
A load of my dad's son for me
Tell him I'll bring him some
2:03:37
comic books and I'll see you
later. Okay, honey, bye. For
2:03:41
this is the life and
2:03:43
if you have to get sick, she
can't beat the measles. That's
2:03:46
right. No medicine inside her
out like shots me Don't even
2:03:50
mention shots. Yes. Measles,
2:03:55
measles, measles. Well, all the
kids have now had the measles so
2:03:59
high, higher than years ago.
Looks like the Brady's are
2:04:02
finished with the measles
2:04:12
you're not through yet.
2:04:14
Still tell me you're coming down
with a measles.
2:04:17
Oh, I hope so.
2:04:18
I'd hate to think I was just
running out of blush at my age.
2:04:22
Oh, Alice. So
2:04:24
John C Dvorak: I will wait,
wait. Let's go 50 years forward
2:04:28
in time. Can
2:04:28
Adam Curry: I can I before you
do that? Can I say something
2:04:31
about this? But yeah, please. I
was six. I was watching the
2:04:36
Brady Bunch. I had chickenpox. I
had the mumps. And I had
2:04:42
measles. And I remember Vic
because I remember this was like
2:04:47
oh just like the Brady Bunch.
And you know you had a big smile
2:04:50
like Well, you had a little bit
of fever but you got to stay
2:04:52
home and use heard Mr. Brady
said I'm going to bring Peter
2:04:55
some comic books. You know what
I got? I got a pair of walkie
2:04:59
talkies. The measles was great.
2:05:02
John C Dvorak: And it led to you
being a ham radio operator.
2:05:05
Adam Curry: Here I am today. 70
threes kita five alpha, Charlie,
2:05:08
Charlie.
2:05:10
John C Dvorak: So let's go 50
years ahead now we've gotten
2:05:13
we've changed Oh, we have a
media capture by the
2:05:16
pharmaceutical companies of all
media, because they have to
2:05:19
promote their products. Now
nowadays, and so we have it in
2:05:25
this was from a law and order
show. We played this before,
2:05:29
like, in 2019. When it first
came out measles nutcase clip,
2:05:35
Unknown: Lady is a lunatic. What
she's doing is a danger to
2:05:38
society. Yeah, but
2:05:39
not illegal.
2:05:40
Are you defending? Maybe he's
right. I mean, sometimes parents
2:05:43
know what's best for their kid,
right? And we decided to
2:05:45
vaccinate our kids so they'd be
safe. Well, that
2:05:47
was your choice, telling parents
how to raise their kids. That's
2:05:50
a quick slide down the slippery
slope of government tyranny.
2:05:53
Monica
2:05:54
Stewart son got the measles and
nothing happened to him. I mean,
2:05:56
it's not so black and white
women. Ciara got the measles
2:06:00
from Monica son and died. Now
2:06:02
all of a sudden my little boy is
at risk because of some nutcase
2:06:04
mom. Well, she's not the only
nutcase mom actually takes that
2:06:08
price. But
2:06:09
her kid was too young to be
immunized. Every child under a
2:06:11
year old is at risk. It's just
stupid not to vaccinate your
2:06:13
children. Do
2:06:14
you want stupid?
2:06:19
Adam Curry: Yeah, although, to
be fair, today's kids, yeah, I
2:06:24
don't know if they're not eating
real food. So they might keel
2:06:26
over and die from measles.
2:06:29
John C Dvorak: Possible, but
there was no measle deaths. Now
2:06:32
in the 60s.
2:06:34
Adam Curry: I do remember for
some reason, like, well, if
2:06:36
girls had the measles, it was
more dangerous for them. Do you
2:06:39
ever recall that? Or was that a
psyop? All the times you ever
2:06:41
heard that? And it was probably
a psyop. That was the start of
2:06:45
it was the start of it right
along?
2:06:48
John C Dvorak: Started value I
still say say it all started in
2:06:50
83 when they legalized the the
advertising of prescription
2:06:55
drugs. And notice that was a
bonanza, the pharmaceutical
2:06:58
company moved in and pretty much
took over the media. Yes. And so
2:07:01
they call the shots. And here's
2:07:03
Adam Curry: an example of that.
We all are familiar with the
2:07:06
miracle that is GLP. One drug
class, the so called ozempic
2:07:11
would go V. deskbound, all these
wonderful drugs, we need to keep
2:07:17
people on them we really want to
get that into Medicare so that
2:07:23
Medicare Medicaid what is the
which one does the
2:07:26
John C Dvorak: witch Medicare
both have doesn't matter because
2:07:29
both of them are taxpayer money.
2:07:31
Adam Curry: That's taxpayer
money. We desperately want to
2:07:34
get that in there. And so we the
most important thing is we have
2:07:37
to show that people who aren't
using the approved medications
2:07:40
and worse, worse they using, you
know, ones that are generic or,
2:07:46
or even worse, this is killing
our children
2:07:49
Unknown: weight loss culture
radically transformed recently,
2:07:52
thanks to the growing prevalence
of drugs like ozempic And what
2:07:54
govi prescriptions for these
drugs and similar ones increased
2:07:58
300% between the beginning of
2020 and 2022. According to a
2:08:03
report from Trillium Health, but
for some who can't access
2:08:06
prescriptions. What measures are
2:08:08
people taking
2:08:09
people are resorting back to
perhaps unfortunately, what they
2:08:13
used to do and that may include
using laxatives, which clearly
2:08:16
aren't recommended and are in
fact dangerous.
2:08:19
Other popular alternatives are
hitting social media timelines
2:08:22
to detox teas, even supplements
like Berberine dubbed nature's
2:08:27
ozempic, which some users claims
mimic the effects of weight loss
2:08:30
drugs demand has also fueled a
rise in counterfeit and off
2:08:34
market weight loss drugs. The
FDA recently warning consumers
2:08:38
against using these fake
versions, a stark warning for
2:08:41
those looking for a quick
2:08:43
fix. We reached out to bear
which makes the laxative MiraLAX
2:08:48
they declined to comment at this
time, we also reached out to
2:08:51
Sanofi, that's the maker of the
laxative Dulcolax, which told us
2:08:54
in part, weight loss is not an
approved use for Dulcolax
2:08:58
products.
2:08:59
Adam Curry: The message here is
poor people can't afford the
2:09:02
good stuff. So they're going to
poop it out.com And this is
2:09:05
dangerous as particularly girls,
be careful you girls, you girls
2:09:08
are going to do that. And
meanwhile, we're still baffled
2:09:15
that today's show Dr. ABS is we
don't understand Jen. No, this
2:09:20
is not Jen. That's America's
favorite doctor. No, this is the
2:09:24
she's I think she's the Indian
woman. Now, but she is she's a
2:09:31
UK call an expert, a call an
expert. Call an expert, call an
2:09:36
expert. And it's so we don't
understand what changed what has
2:09:41
happened in the past couple of
years that young people are
2:09:44
getting colorectal cancer. It's
it's we cannot figure it out.
2:09:49
What we
2:09:49
Unknown: have here let's I want
to ask you about this report
2:09:51
that just came out apparently
this morning from the American
2:09:53
Cancer Society. Good news.
Mortality rates related to
2:09:57
cancer down once again, bad
news. Colon cancer continues to
2:10:02
kill young people, especially at
alarming rates number one cause
2:10:05
of death for men under 50.
Number two cause of death for
2:10:08
women under 50. Only behind
breast cancer. Are we any closer
2:10:12
to understand understanding why?
The why
2:10:15
is still a big question mark.
You know, there are many
2:10:18
theories, one includes changes
in the gut microbiome we know.
2:10:21
And you know, I'm a huge
believer in how the gut
2:10:23
microbiome can affect so many
things. And maybe it's overuse
2:10:26
of antibiotics, it's the highly
processed food, it's the lack of
2:10:28
fiber in our diet, all of these
things may be increasing our
2:10:31
risk of colon cancer, but it is
alarming news. You know, I do
2:10:34
colonoscopies, that's part of my
bread and butter. And we really
2:10:37
run it really take a stand
against colon cancer, but we're
2:10:40
seeing that there is a rise, I
saw one statistic that we have
2:10:43
four times the rate of
developing colon cancer if
2:10:45
you're born in the 90s, as
opposed to if you were born in
2:10:47
the 50s. I mean, this is one
where one place for medicine is
2:10:51
going in the wrong
2:10:54
John C Dvorak: just some of her
logic that was in there. The you
2:10:58
overuse of antibiotics was
earlier. It's not a current
2:11:03
problem. It was became a problem
because people were overusing
2:11:08
antibiotics in the older
population. So that that that
2:11:13
goes out the window. She never
mentioned quartz quartz
2:11:16
recently, the another thing
that's kind of interesting is
2:11:19
that the CoLo nos, colonoscopy
has become kind of fallen into
2:11:24
disrepute recently, yeah. And
then that's been covered up
2:11:29
because hell, there's a lot of
money to be made getting that
2:11:31
sort of bread and butter. And
that's her bread and butter. So
2:11:35
this is an issue. But it's just
the overuse of antibiotics is
2:11:40
talking about it's a red herring
thick that
2:11:42
Unknown: we have four times the
rate of developing colon cancer
2:11:44
if you're born in the 90s, as
opposed to if you were born in
2:11:47
the 50s. I mean, this is one
where one place for medicine is
2:11:50
going Oh,
2:11:51
Adam Curry: that's interesting.
In the 90s, you know what
2:11:53
happened in the 90s. That's when
MTV stopped playing music that
2:11:56
gave kids cancer
2:11:57
Unknown: seeing that there is a
rise, I saw one statistic that
2:12:00
we have four times the rate of
developing colon cancer if
2:12:02
you're born in the 90s, as
opposed to if you were born in
2:12:05
the 50s. I mean, this is one
where one place for medicine is
2:12:08
going in the wrong direction. We
need certainly more research to
2:12:11
understand the why. Bottom line
is we don't know the why but if
2:12:14
you're especially young person
do not ignore symptoms of
2:12:17
potential colon cancer. What
else
2:12:20
John C Dvorak: could there be
vaccinations?
2:12:24
Adam Curry: No, no, no, there
was no that couldn't be
2:12:28
John C Dvorak: it. 1000s and
1000s of
2:12:30
Adam Curry: vaccinations anti
Vaxxer
2:12:32
John C Dvorak: you I'm not an
anti Vaxxer at all, but at the
2:12:36
same time I'm beginning to get
suspicious about the well
2:12:39
Adam Curry: that's one of them.
That's not one of her on her
2:12:42
list.
2:12:43
John C Dvorak: No she should
have named should have said
2:12:45
something.
2:12:47
Adam Curry: Coconut Pete center
boots on the Grogan at PTI,
2:12:50
coconut Pete haven't heard from
him for a while said I'm not
2:12:53
sure this perspective will shed
light on anything but I do
2:12:57
Walmart grocery deliveries
occasionally and have noticed a
2:13:00
phenomenon. We take these boots
on the ground reports seriously,
2:13:03
this is Hi this sounds serious.
To me blue collar boots on the
2:13:07
ground. We love the gig work
like this today I had an order
2:13:10
in which all of the meat ordered
was plant based crap. chicken
2:13:14
patties and nuggets ground meat,
and even plant based fish sticks
2:13:19
upon delivery. Delivery was a
very nice brick home in a gated
2:13:23
community. I've noticed this
many times before and can
2:13:26
predict the type of house based
on certain product types, such
2:13:30
as those more expensive brown
and white eggs. As another
2:13:34
example, maybe it's a
sophisticated marketing campaign
2:13:38
of some sort. Those who buy
expensive groceries mined by
2:13:41
other dumb stuff. I have also
noticed that these phony meat
2:13:45
products are taking up more
shelf space as time goes on.
2:13:48
Interesting how expensive they
are. So this is this is I think
2:13:54
this is a fair point it's it's
it's just a trend that he's
2:13:59
noticing that people are being
sai opt into eating fake meat. I
2:14:05
didn't I thought that that ended
2:14:09
John C Dvorak: well, every place
I've seen that has a lot of
2:14:12
forehead a lot of fake meat on
the shelves, they've it's been
2:14:16
reduced in size because the
nobody's buying this stuff, at
2:14:20
least where I go now it's
possible that if I don't live in
2:14:25
a gated community with a big
brick house, so it's possible
2:14:29
Adam Curry: you live on an
avalanche basically
2:14:32
John C Dvorak: from the side of
the hill
2:14:35
Adam Curry: down where your
house is gonna slide down. So
2:14:37
John C Dvorak: bits of rock is
rocks on the two concerns giant
2:14:41
right the is it's possible that
the upper class, these have to
2:14:47
be liberals that live in the
gated communities you know
2:14:51
because you want to keep the
riffraff out you have to be in a
2:14:54
gated community and heaven
forbid one of them gets in
2:14:57
somehow racist. And they're the
ones poisoning them. selves with
2:15:00
this crazy food. It makes sense.
2:15:05
Adam Curry: You know on Sundays
I get up at 530 so I can prep
2:15:07
and then go to you know,
doughnut hole the church, go to
2:15:10
church and then come back and
prep and start the show. And as
2:15:13
I was walking out this morning,
I am stopped by a couple. Adam,
2:15:18
can I talk to you for a second?
Sure. says We were recently on a
2:15:22
very long road trip to Colorado.
And we had heard from Pastor
2:15:27
Jimmy that you know about your
show the no agenda show. And we
2:15:31
loved listening to you and John
we loved the show. It made us
2:15:36
feel so good about the crazy
world that we're in says but I
2:15:39
have a question to yours. He
says what game show theme is the
2:15:47
three by three jingle music from
and I didn't have an answer I
2:15:56
don't even know if it's is it
original or is it taken from a
2:16:00
game show?
2:16:02
John C Dvorak: It is taken from
a game show I just can't think
2:16:04
of which one let's play this
price is right is not it's yes.
2:16:11
And it's not it's not the show I
don't think jingle I think it's
2:16:15
an interim one of these bridge
jingles waiting
2:16:20
Adam Curry: game but that
doesn't sound right. I don't
2:16:22
think it
2:16:24
John C Dvorak: this sounds a
little bit like the dating game.
2:16:25
I don't think let me let me
okay, somebody knows this
2:16:31
Adam Curry: guy who wrote that
all saying dating game but I
2:16:34
don't think it's from the dating
game.
2:16:36
John C Dvorak: I think it is
from the dating game. Not
2:16:37
Adam Curry: you mentioned a
dating game music
2:16:40
John C Dvorak: play it play it?
Well, I
2:16:42
Adam Curry: want to play the
dating game music. Yes, I'm
2:16:44
saying dating game theme song
Let's listen. Here we go. No, no
2:16:55
that's not it. That's not
2:16:58
John C Dvorak: okay with
someone's got to you isolate
2:17:01
your wanna taxi
2:17:03
Adam Curry: theme. That doesn't
sound right either. To always
2:17:06
has
2:17:07
John C Dvorak: to be let's let's
test. You want to talk who wrote
2:17:10
this jingle?
2:17:12
Adam Curry: No, that's not it
either. Way. No, no, not
2:17:16
John C Dvorak: at all. Not even
close. Not even close.
2:17:20
Adam Curry: No, no. Few people
are a musical. The newlywed
2:17:25
game? No,
2:17:27
John C Dvorak: it could be the
newlywed game hold on noon.
2:17:29
Adam Curry: Lee with games
theme. Okay, well, after this
2:17:34
we're gonna have to give up on
it. Because when I'm off to just
2:17:36
get into
2:17:37
John C Dvorak: be here all
night. Here we go. Yeah. That
2:17:41
sounds like yeah, I got let it
go. No, no. You know what? That
2:17:48
I think the newlywed game went
through different jingles. So
2:17:52
that's possible. That is I'm not
giving up on
2:17:55
Adam Curry: the 1969 Newlywed
Game thrilled who? Or what? Who?
2:18:00
Or what? Oh, your husband can we
give me up? No, no, no. You know
2:18:10
what you guys don't know.
Somebody knows. Nobody knows.
2:18:14
No, this. This is a one of the
big mystery. I think it's an
2:18:17
original. No, Brian, Brian.
Brian Michael is the created
2:18:23
this. And who is not a familiar
name for me. Brian Michael. The
2:18:29
match? Well, it
2:18:30
John C Dvorak: was a while ago
that he happened. We did this
2:18:33
bit about 10 years ago.
2:18:34
Adam Curry: People are saying
Herb Alpert and the Tijuana
2:18:36
Brass. I believe that but so it
may just be a song. But I don't
2:18:40
think it's it's not a game show
theme. It's just it's just
2:18:43
dynamite is what it is. And I
think we should play it right
2:18:45
now. Everybody. Yeah, yeah. JC
ABC, CBS. Johnson has three
2:18:59
sometimes bonus for if it's
three by three plus. And
2:19:03
John C Dvorak: a bonus today is
actually different. Enough
2:19:07
different but it's probably the
best of the clips. Okay, let's
2:19:10
play. This is, again, where
we're getting this US strikes
2:19:14
and back and
2:19:15
Adam Curry: forth with the
region. Is this the region? Are
2:19:17
we in the region? We're in the
Houthi region, Red Sea region in
2:19:22
the region. We're all going to
die. Iran. Yes.
2:19:25
John C Dvorak: So let's go to
ABC for starters.
2:19:29
Adam Curry: Oh, well, I have a
cruise missile. What is that
2:19:32
thing going? That's great.
2:19:36
Unknown: Tonight, the US
launching a new series of
2:19:38
strikes against Iranian backed
Houthi rebels in Yemen.
2:19:41
This is the fourth pre emptive
action that the US military has
2:19:45
taken in the past week against
Houthi missile launchers that
2:19:48
we're ready to launch attacks.
2:19:49
The Houthis have launched more
than 30 attacks at commercial
2:19:52
shipping since late November,
including two this week that
2:19:55
damaged us owned transport ships
in the Red Sea, trying to
2:19:58
prevent a wider region award is
why the US has more than a dozen
2:20:02
Navy ships patrolling Middle
Eastern waters. The US Navy
2:20:05
takes us to the USS early Burke,
a guided missile destroyer in
2:20:09
the Mediterranean. This
destroyer is nearly identical to
2:20:12
the one that Navy has right now
in the red st number and you can
2:20:14
see they have a torpedoes. They
have harpoon missiles and
2:20:17
underneath this launch pad may
have tomahawks ready to launch
2:20:20
at a moment's notice. We're
showing the crew drilling often
2:20:23
but just minutes to intercept an
incoming missile is deterrence
2:20:27
working in this order,
2:20:28
but the terms does work and
sometimes it doesn't. It's not a
2:20:31
zero sum game, but it minimizes
the impact of the overall impact
2:20:35
by reminding our allies and
partners and we're here to
2:20:37
support you.
2:20:39
And David the Burke alongside
this ship right now the USS
2:20:42
baton can carry roughly 2500
Marines and Navy sailors
2:20:46
together they combined to make a
strike group ready to go at a
2:20:49
moment's notice.
2:20:51
John C Dvorak: Wait, the ship is
sitting on some other ship. It's
2:20:55
in Port. Okay, let's go to NBC
if see can if they can do any
2:21:01
better. Oh
2:21:02
Adam Curry: please give me a
nice missile sound effects.
2:21:05
Unknown: We joined Marines from
the 26th Marine expeditions,
2:21:08
this
2:21:08
Adam Curry: novel to use a
murmur. Alarm.
2:21:13
Unknown: We joined Marines from
the 26th Marine Expeditionary
2:21:16
Unit out of camp lagoon North
Carolina, where the USS baton
2:21:23
the amphibious warship and navy
workhorse that's been
2:21:27
centerstage for US military
action here
2:21:34
oh nine
2:21:37
Adam Curry: women hit am I
supposed to play CBS?
2:21:41
John C Dvorak: No, you're
playing NBC shows. No,
2:21:43
Adam Curry: no, I'm sorry. I
just realized I was playing CBS.
2:21:46
I feel horrible. Let me go back
to NBC because CBS they
2:21:50
John C Dvorak: had good CBS has
a more elaborate.
2:21:53
Adam Curry: Let's go back to
NBC. Oh yeah, NBC. Yeah, ABC
2:21:58
NBC, same guys.
2:22:00
Unknown: Tonight us again taking
out anti ship missiles. The
2:22:04
Pentagon says Iranian backed
Houthi militants were prepared
2:22:07
to launch in the Red Sea.
President Biden has acknowledged
2:22:11
the US strikes are not deterring
Houthi attacks for Israeli
2:22:16
troops in Gaza danger not just
from Hamas, but also lethal
2:22:20
rates of friendly fire. The
latest IDF data shows 17% of all
2:22:26
Israeli soldiers killed were
mistakenly shot by their own or
2:22:29
died in Battlefield accidents.
That is a high rate of friendly
2:22:34
fire, even given that it's
occurring in very dense urban
2:22:38
terrain. We headed to central
Gaza last week to see what the
2:22:42
IDF said was a Hamas rocket
factory. Israel standard
2:22:47
procedure destroy facilities
like this with a controlled
2:22:50
explosion. But this time, not
disaster. The IDF says a tank
2:22:56
shell aimed at Hamas fighters
toppled and electricity pole
2:23:00
triggering the explosives early.
Six Israeli troops were killed.
2:23:05
We asked Israel's military
spokesman Why is there been so
2:23:08
much friendly fire. Friendly
Fire is a horrible thing. But we
2:23:14
are learning every event. Israel
says one factor is its troops
2:23:18
are under constant ambush from
Hamas fighters bursting out of
2:23:22
tunnels
2:23:23
Adam Curry: bursting out of
tunnels.
2:23:27
John C Dvorak: Okay, so that
report went off the rails. Yeah,
2:23:31
they
2:23:31
Adam Curry: went. They went to
the tower.
2:23:35
John C Dvorak: They went off the
road started off about huthis
2:23:37
and it went off the rails. I
don't I just don't wish that one
2:23:40
moss
2:23:41
Adam Curry: coming out of
tunnels like it's Brooklyn or
2:23:43
something.
2:23:44
John C Dvorak: So here we go to
this is so these are not as good
2:23:47
as the ones we've gotten before.
They're they're starting I think
2:23:50
I'm telling you. I think they've
hurt us do this and they decided
2:23:53
they're going to try to foil us.
So CBS now has a long report
2:23:57
that goes way far afield. Yes.
2:24:02
Unknown: We joined Marines from
the 26th Marine Expeditionary
2:24:05
Unit out of camp blue in North
Carolina. Oh, you're hungry more
2:24:09
than
2:24:09
Adam Curry: was you and that's
where that's where everyone got
2:24:11
cancer from.
2:24:13
John C Dvorak: There all these
people six
2:24:16
Unknown: months and counting the
USS baton the amphibious warship
2:24:20
and navy workhorse that's been
centerstage for US military
2:24:24
action here
2:24:28
Adam Curry: Wow. John, this is
2:24:40
Unknown: because of the reason
2:24:45
he's been deployed, definitely.
2:24:51
Equipped with Harrier fighter
jets and quick reaction force,
2:24:55
Adam Curry: they're launching,
they're launching Harrier jet is
2:24:58
that's what it was like.
2:25:05
Unknown: equipped with Harrier
fighter jets and spearheading a
2:25:08
quick reaction for 35
2:25:11
Adam Curry: No, no no as Harrier
fighter jets,
2:25:13
John C Dvorak: but the F 35
heart is our version of the
2:25:16
Harrier.
2:25:21
Unknown: A full contingent of
more than 2000 US Marines, the
2:25:25
Marines should have sailed home
by now too. But the war in Gaza
2:25:29
and the regional repercussions
it triggered changed all that.
2:25:34
in complete darkness Harriers
soar into the night sky running
2:25:37
drills and making their presence
known along this stretch of the
2:25:41
Mediterranean. What's happening
here on deck now after dark is
2:25:45
all about readiness. This ship
and the aircraft on it had been
2:25:50
specifically deployed due to
growing threats across the
2:25:53
region, not only as a deterrent,
but ready to respond if
2:25:58
necessary. From the Houthis
where the US launched another
2:26:02
wave of ship and submarine
launched missiles on suspected
2:26:05
Houthi targets in Yemen
overnight. to Iran, whose forces
2:26:10
released this video today
holding air defense exercises in
2:26:14
its own show of power. So the
fights between Israel and
2:26:18
Hezbollah worsening by the day,
the Marines here remain in reach
2:26:23
of both Israel and Lebanon
should they be called upon to
2:26:26
fight provide humanitarian
assistance or even evacuate
2:26:30
1000s of Americans who live in
both countries? The unit's motto
2:26:35
ready relevant and capable seems
more apt than ever tonight Wait
2:26:40
Adam Curry: a minute that's the
that's no agendas ma motto ready
2:26:44
relevant and capable. Hey, that
was a great report that was that
2:26:50
had war written just all over
just war war war in the region
2:26:54
launching Harrier jets, boom,
boom, boom. That was that was
2:26:59
good. That made me want to spend
more money on war.
2:27:04
John C Dvorak: Yeah, well, it
didn't make me want to spend
2:27:05
more money on war. Let's go now.
So there's an odd bog third,
2:27:09
fourth clip here which is a
Reuters plus it's a plus it's
2:27:12
three by three. This is a plus
but it's not. It's it's
2:27:15
different. It has some it's kind
of more entertaining.
2:27:18
Unknown: Attacks by Houthi
militants in the Red Sea are
2:27:21
continuing despite us airstrikes

2:27:24

2:27:42

have been watched and shared by
2:27:49

some dubbing him Tim Houthi
2:27:53

resemblance to the actor. Posts
2:27:57

a cargo ship seized by Houthi
2:28:00
commandos in November, which was
turned into a tourist
2:28:03
attraction. Her dad says he's
thankful for his popularity,

2:28:16
their attacks are in solidarity

2:28:34
interested in his looks giving
them just a gift from God
2:28:41
Adam Curry: that was not
entertaining at all that was
2:28:44
boring filled with facts that we
didn't need. We don't want facts
2:28:49
I want that pops I want bombs
and missiles and guys on the
2:28:54
John C Dvorak: BBC doesn't
doesn't go in that or Reuters
2:28:57
has Reuters as writers. It was
basically with a British girl it
2:29:00
was a BBC
2:29:01
Adam Curry: it was quite good.
2:29:03
John C Dvorak: But but it's like
what is this tourist trap thing?
2:29:10
I'm getting sick of it. We're
there we got all the half of the
2:29:14
pleat one of the fleets is
there. Why don't we just go
2:29:18
recapture that ship? I just do
not understand this because
2:29:22
Adam Curry: it's fun to have
war. We need war we got war in
2:29:27
the region. We got Iran we have
we're I'm sure that we're we're
2:29:31
blowing up the guys in
Baluchistan. That's where we got
2:29:34
that sulamani guy he died like a
dog. This is this is this is
2:29:39
what we do. And here it is. And
it's just the military
2:29:42
industrial complex rudderless
because we don't have the
2:29:46
secretary of defense. We don't
we don't know where he is,
2:29:49
though. He has to have showed
2:29:50
John C Dvorak: up by now. Yes,
No. He has not been waiting how
2:29:54
long then that he's they can't
find a double. He has not been
2:29:57
waving
2:29:57
Adam Curry: from the balcony.
But As the President isn't going
2:30:01
oh, I don't know we got Kirby.
Um, I'm not gonna gonna play the
2:30:04
Kirby clips was like, Whoa, you
know, we're just preemptive
2:30:08
strikes, preemptive strikes.
Stop. Make peace profitable
2:30:16
again, please. This is not the
way forward. But if you want to
2:30:21
leave a big piece of stinking
poop for Donald Trump, they're
2:30:26
well on their way. That's what
they're doing. Okay, I need to
2:30:30
thank Alberta guru in the troll
room. And who's that guy who
2:30:37
does the pre show? remember his
name?
2:30:40
John C Dvorak: Darren, Darren?
2:30:42
Adam Curry: Yes.
2:30:43
John C Dvorak: Darren Darren
Darren Darren. Oh Neo.
2:30:50
Adam Curry: And he says yes,
this is the three by three is
2:30:54
the Spanish flea by Herb Albert
song is closely associated with
2:30:58
the long running game show The
Dating Game for which it was
2:31:01
played when the bachelor
entered. That is right it was it
2:31:05
was it is there it is. That's
it. The mystery? Mystery solved.
2:31:13
I can go back to church. There
we go. Perfect. Perfect. This is
2:31:18
the kind these are the kinds of
producers that we have. They're
2:31:21
here it's unbelievable whose
control room in the troll room
2:31:25
waiting to help us in a pinch
not like podcasts or gold. Or
2:31:30
like Jamie No, though. We have
1000s of Jamie's that's what's
2:31:34
so beautiful about this because
we accept time talent and
2:31:38
treasure in return for the value
that we produce on the show. We
2:31:42
don't ask you for much we just
say send something back. It can
2:31:46
be information like Darren gave
us he also does that pre show
2:31:49
which is this pretty I think
it's good I've heard
2:31:51
John C Dvorak: it was decent.
It's pretty it's pretty good.
2:31:53
Although I had to say this
people should be warned to be
2:31:55
he's as he's a huge massive
Taylor Swift Fan. And he
2:32:01
exhibits that he falls back on
Taylor Swift when he's looking
2:32:04
for something to play and
2:32:05
Adam Curry: with that I'd like
to thank you for your courage
2:32:07
say in the morning to you the
man who put the sea in the
2:32:09
chicken pox say hello to my
friend on the other end. Mr.
2:32:11
Johnson
2:32:16
John C Dvorak: Well, I'm Karina
morning I was shipped to see
2:32:19
boots on the ground feet in the
air is in the water and all the
2:32:23
names are nice out there. Let's
2:32:24
Unknown: after we just have
2:32:29
Adam Curry: 1940 Trolls

2:32:40
John C Dvorak: very, very low,
slow. It should be 2500 or 600
2:32:44
down.
2:32:46
Adam Curry: Oh, they're all off
in the in the in the Gulf of the
2:32:49
fighting
2:32:51
John C Dvorak: ball. You know a
lot of this has to do with the
2:32:52
weather. Really? No. I mean, I
think half the country is frozen
2:32:57
in and they can't you know they
got other things to do. They got
2:32:59
a big dig in their porches
rather than listen to the show
2:33:02
live.
2:33:04
Adam Curry: They got they got
better things to
2:33:05
John C Dvorak: do with it live
in Arizona. Are
2:33:07
Adam Curry: you really telling
me they got better things to do
2:33:09
with
2:33:09
John C Dvorak: their lives?
Well, when they're snowed in
2:33:12
Yeah, it was gonna get snowed
out.
2:33:15
Adam Curry: Yeah, it was another
cold front came through. It's
2:33:17
back down to freezing here in
Texas really
2:33:20
John C Dvorak: gave me 75 The
last time I asked. Yeah, now
2:33:23
it's back.
2:33:24
Adam Curry: That was Thursday.
Thursday was was in the 70s and
2:33:27
then boom, right back down. And
we're freezing again.
2:33:31
John C Dvorak: But no real rain
here.
2:33:33
Adam Curry: I'm sorry to hear
that.
2:33:35
John C Dvorak: It's about 60
years.
2:33:37
Adam Curry: Now the trolls are
there in the troll room.
2:33:39
Listening live it. Yes, I know
Barron's but the mighty says
2:33:44
hey, it was 2278 after an hour.
Why is Adam selling the show?
2:33:50
Short? We're not selling the
show. I'm not gonna count trolls
2:33:54
and I am.
2:33:56
John C Dvorak: You're selling
the show so short is that you're
2:33:58
doing it? Yeah, just wanted to
say it again
2:34:00
Adam Curry: selling the show
short. Yeah, it's hard. And
2:34:04
these trolls come to us through
the troll room.io You can listen
2:34:09
to no agenda stream.com We have
we have a troll room. You can
2:34:12
get into it right from there or
get a modern podcast app. These
2:34:16
podcasts apps are good. They're
fun. They're fun, because
2:34:20
they're like pirate apps. You
know, it's not like some so
2:34:25
maybe it's not like they've
named like pod verse and podcast
2:34:28
guru and fountain and curio
caster and Casta Matic and you
2:34:33
know, this like cool stuff. It's
not like a
2:34:36
Unknown: Bupa gauze you know
YouTube Music No,
2:34:40
Adam Curry: no get something
that's modern, supported
2:34:42
independent developer. And of
course you the shows that you
2:34:47
like listening to they won't go
away like Spotify. We just take
2:34:50
stuff off or RAM commercials in
without you asking for it. No,
2:34:55
no stop that be modern podcast.
apps.com We're modern pa Cast
2:35:00
stops.com that works as well. So
the trolls as we just saw have
2:35:05
provided valuable, very valuable
value. They gave us value right
2:35:10
there helped us out on the show.
We don't we don't ask for much
2:35:14
but we do ask you to give back
time, talent treasure, many ways
2:35:18
that can be done some people
promote the show. If people in
2:35:21
the mouth organize meetups, with
our artists, they're the ones
2:35:25
that that really and I may a
culpa. Capitalist agenda did not
2:35:32
commit Stolen Valor. At all. I
was sideswiped by a troll. He is
2:35:38
the artwork and we want to thank
him for his artwork. For
2:35:42
episode. Was it 1626? We titled
that one dingbat? Yeah, I'm
2:35:47
sorry. No, it's 1625 is the one
he did 2516 25. That one was
2:35:53
called Melville the milk carton.
And someone posted saying and
2:35:57
you know, so I'm posting a troll
room. Bad troll, bad bad troll.
2:36:02
said, Oh, he repurpose that from
Ben garrison. And I just said he
2:36:06
repurposed that from Ben
garrison. Stolen Valor said that
2:36:09
Yeah, he did that a no
capitalist agenda said, he said,
2:36:13
Maybe I shouldn't do any art
anymore.
2:36:17
John C Dvorak: That's a classic.
No agenda guy.
2:36:20
Adam Curry: And he's right. He's
right. He's right. And I said,
2:36:23
No, no, no, man. I'm sorry. I
said, I'm sorry. You don't have
2:36:26
to mention on the show said yes,
I do. Of course I do.
2:36:31
John C Dvorak: know but yeah,
he's just the no agenda. Social
2:36:34
guys.
2:36:35
Adam Curry: No capitalist agenda
is a good guy. He said, No, I
2:36:38
John C Dvorak: Yeah, I'm just
saying this is the no agenda
2:36:40
social guys the same thing I
I've come to your defense on
2:36:43
some of this because it's like,
you try to do the right thing.
2:36:48
By creating no agenda social. Of
course, you don't do any work on
2:36:53
it. You just created it. And it
was just a random vision. I ran
2:36:57
it. So it works, you know, and
you still get your commission. I
2:37:00
ran it for a while. And then I
had Ryan Seacrest takeover. So
2:37:03
then he let it go to somebody
else. And then it falls apart.
2:37:07
Because you know, nobody wants
to do any moderation. And then
2:37:10
everyone gets then you close the
shutter it is good reason. For
2:37:16
good reason. I'm defending the
good reason, for good reasons,
2:37:20
because it's associative. And
that people that are that came
2:37:23
in in the second wave of people
is a bunch of dipshits that came
2:37:26
in and they're cussing and
they're calling out. They hate
2:37:29
Jews and blacks and everybody in
between and they're making a
2:37:33
fuss. And so it has to go
because it's being associated
2:37:37
with the name no agenda, which
is the podcast and then to do it
2:37:41
the chat room, and though was
all bent out of shape. I got a
2:37:44
note the other day Oh, I've
given moved by I've been
2:37:48
donating and now they shut down.
No agenda social. I quit. You
2:37:53
suck. No.
2:37:55
Adam Curry: I suck this thing. I
know you suck.
2:37:57
John C Dvorak: Well, somebody
sucks. Whatever it is, is
2:37:59
theirs.
2:38:00
Adam Curry: It's like, wow, but
you didn't hear the best.
2:38:03
John C Dvorak: I'm sure I didn't
do because it's all a headache
2:38:05
that you're awake. Because
you're the one responsible. I'm
2:38:07
just gonna have a hanger on
here. Well, let me think I'm
2:38:09
saying
2:38:09
Adam Curry: no, you have to
understand all of this happened.
2:38:13
Because I moved to
Fredericksburg. And I want to
2:38:18
become may already. You've said
this story already. But there's
2:38:22
there's a new part to it. So I
want to be mayor. And so of
2:38:25
course when you want to be mayor
I mean, you know on Vive, just
2:38:28
like not like hey, that's cool.
He's representing his 15,000
2:38:31
People in Fredericksburg wants
to make life better for their
2:38:34
children. No, no. He's going
into government. No, no, he's
2:38:37
flipped. And the word flipped.
But then the other than the one
2:38:41
my favorite is. Adam married
Tina for her money. We all know
2:38:45
that. And he's loaded and she
and she joined she joined a mega
2:38:53
church. And now she's making me
get rid of it. And she is
2:38:57
effectively the Yoko Ono have no
agenda.
2:39:01
John C Dvorak: Yeah, I can't
believe all that. Totally in.
2:39:08
Adam Curry: You're on the new.
No authority dot social. Yeah,
2:39:13
yeah. John.
2:39:14
John C Dvorak: Yeah, I've
shortened it.
2:39:15
Adam Curry: Have you? Have you
been on Have you been?
2:39:17
John C Dvorak: I've been on and
off. I can't figure out how to
2:39:19
get on and half the time and I'm
still posting the old thing.
2:39:22
And, you know, it's like, okay,
I'll get more involved as it
2:39:26
develops. as it develops, it
gets a little more because
2:39:30
Adam Curry: I follow you, I
follow you from because I have
2:39:32
an account on my own. Because
I'm eating my own dog food to
2:39:36
say, hey, it's better if we all
have smaller servers. It's much
2:39:40
better that way you can do your
own thing. Everybody can still
2:39:44
interact. That's how the system
is built. I've been advocating
2:39:46
for that for years, by the way,
that's not new. I've always said
2:39:50
start your own. It's much better
that way. Yes. So I've got Adam
2:39:54
at psyops. shop.com and and I
can follow stuff just fine. And
2:40:00
I can block people if they
irritate me, but it's not
2:40:03
associated with the show then
I'm but you don't post much. I'm
2:40:07
waiting the other day I'm
waiting to block you for your
2:40:10
stupid memes but you haven't
done any memes
2:40:14
John C Dvorak: Yeah, I guess so
many unit I had to I'm thinking
2:40:17
of putting up a blog of memes
because I have a source of memes
2:40:21
that is unbelievable. No
2:40:24
Adam Curry: You just do what
everyone used to do on Origin
2:40:26
The Social just post 100 of them
all in a row. No, I
2:40:29
John C Dvorak: don't I do a
threesome like I do. I got no
2:40:31
nothing got my memes they got
old Tiger three memes on social
2:40:34
media streaming. Newsletters.
They got memes
2:40:36
Adam Curry: like 15 gigs of
memes. He is just a meme hater.
2:40:39
John C Dvorak: We all know that.
I don't think it's anything that
2:40:42
surprises anyone.
2:40:43
Adam Curry: I hate bad memes.
2:40:45
John C Dvorak: No, you hate?
2:40:46
Adam Curry: No, I don't. This is
2:40:48
John C Dvorak: what okay. Oh,
okay. You hate what you consider
2:40:51
bad memes. Well,
2:40:52
Adam Curry: of course, the meme
is in the eye of the beholder.
2:40:55
John C Dvorak: If it makes you
laugh is a good meme. Yeah, so I
2:40:58
see it. That's when
2:40:59
Adam Curry: people think I
really hated dogs because you
2:41:02
made that a thing on the show
and people like why do you hate
2:41:05
dogs? Man? You hated dogs. I
never hated
2:41:09
John C Dvorak: your new dog.
That dog has changed your life.
2:41:14
Adam Curry: Thank you to the
artists for episode number 1626
2:41:20
Francisco Scaramanga we titled
that episode dingbat. Very
2:41:26
controversial image.
2:41:28
John C Dvorak: It was my wife
not by my way of thinking
2:41:32
Adam Curry: this was I liked it.
This was the boobs in green.
2:41:37
What kind of material is that?
Looks like a knit Yeah. And but
2:41:42
but the the joke was the all
seeing
2:41:46
John C Dvorak: all saying I
would look at over looking
2:41:48
towards the Clea was no doubt
was just a mark of genius. That
2:41:53
one little touch and that one
main thing?
2:41:56
Adam Curry: Yeah, that made it
exactly. Yeah. I don't know. Of
2:42:00
course.
2:42:01
John C Dvorak: Whoever thought
of the all seeing eye actually
2:42:03
looking askance. Well, that's
2:42:05
Adam Curry: Francisco
Scaramanga. Yeah, that
2:42:07
John C Dvorak: guy's a genius.
2:42:08
Adam Curry: No, and this was of
course, because we have people
2:42:11
again, we do so much on the show
that makes people quit. It's
2:42:16
amazing that people still say
this. Make sure we got anyone
2:42:18
listening. Like you guys are
only pandering to your donors.
2:42:22
Yeah, I know. My
2:42:24
John C Dvorak: my wife Mimi. She
says, I can't I try to listen to
2:42:27
the show. But it's like you have
to take a day off to listen to
2:42:30
it.
2:42:34
Adam Curry: She doesn't have
much of a commute to the to the
2:42:36
dog shelter does she did the
kennel kennel talk? Let's take a
2:42:43
look. There were a number of
pieces that that we looked at.
2:42:48
Was there anything else that we
really liked? There was of
2:42:52
course comments or blog or like
yeah, we're not going to post
2:42:55
big boobs. This was subtle. It's
subtle. You got to be subtle.
2:43:00
That
2:43:01
John C Dvorak: subtle button No.
eyeball looking
2:43:03
Adam Curry: to like leverage
even Okay, Tina said Is this
2:43:07
what you call moto we call it
again? Cheesecake cheesecake?
2:43:12
This cheesecake said no. It's
about the myths about the
2:43:15
donation about the boob donation
look at the all seeing eye she
2:43:18
doesn't want to
2:43:20
John C Dvorak: miss she's cake
is really legs guys. That's
2:43:23
Adam Curry: leg legs and thighs.
Yeah, I kind of like the playful
2:43:27
podcast one by sweet cheeks but
2:43:30
John C Dvorak: yeah, you did
like that and I remember you
2:43:32
liking it but sweet cheeks
2:43:33
Adam Curry: made an error and
put the show number on there.
2:43:37
Which is not necessarily a good
thing.
2:43:40
John C Dvorak: But it was okay
at the time. It was the show
2:43:43
number Yeah, but we just didn't
like it because it was just you
2:43:48
wanted a playful podcast that
one bite correct to record or
2:43:51
which one no
2:43:53
Adam Curry: sweet cheeks well
let me see what was correct the
2:43:55
record was correct two records
one let's see that
2:43:57
John C Dvorak: was a playful
podcast
2:44:00
Adam Curry: now that's the with
the smiley face
2:44:03
John C Dvorak: no it's the baby
on a little thing I don't even
2:44:06
see it there a the Jo number on
there I'm
2:44:09
Adam Curry: looking up now I
didn't like that by corrector
2:44:12
record. No offense. Like what
are you talking up at the top
2:44:17
there with the with the smiley
face with all the beautiful with
2:44:20
the rainbow colors? Oh,
2:44:21
John C Dvorak: that was just to
say Oh, I don't even remember. I
2:44:24
don't know
2:44:26
Adam Curry: what anyway, here's
what happened because Tina
2:44:29
wasn't feeling well she she was
resting on the couch and so by
2:44:33
go out to pee while John looks
at the art he always gets a head
2:44:36
start and then I come back
because Tina will always bring
2:44:40
me something to drink. Yeah,
right after the show so I so I'm
2:44:42
like I'm gonna go pee anyway.
Get something to drink come
2:44:45
back. John was like there's only
one I like there's only one we
2:44:52
got to choose. This one is
great. Yes, that's exactly how
2:44:54
I'm
2:44:55
John C Dvorak: now Adam Sandler.
2:44:59
Adam Curry: We You appreciate
yes ready kilowatt she had the
2:45:02
vapors. That's right from the
megachurch. Ano is hard being
2:45:06
Yoko Oh my god. If If and when I
actually run for mayor, it's
2:45:13
going to be a great campaign.
Can you imagine the oppo
2:45:15
research on me?
2:45:20
John C Dvorak: You're so likable
and I think personable in terms
2:45:23
of ability is stuff when you're
actually interpersonal. But in
2:45:27
just in a general sense, you're
media savvy, you could do a job
2:45:31
you could probably come state
senator, go. I
2:45:34
Adam Curry: have no desire to do
that. That's Kyle Biederman.
2:45:38
Kyle Biederman hears he runs Ace
Hardware. He's running for State
2:45:42
Senator Kyle. I know I'm all I'm
meeting everybody.
2:45:47
John C Dvorak: Hey, yes, because
you're right. You're right in
2:45:49
there and you can have you get
me me give you a tip. She's like
2:45:52
a political junkie. Now that
she's a commissioner.
2:45:56
Adam Curry: He lost her race.
What
2:45:57
John C Dvorak: are you talking
about? No, no, she's been his
2:46:00
county commissioner or not a
county commission but a zoning.
2:46:04
Oh, no.
2:46:06
Adam Curry: Oh my god to have
Mimi running that show. Oh,
2:46:09
that's the people must. Not
running it.
2:46:10
John C Dvorak: She's one of
them. Yeah, but she
2:46:12
Adam Curry: must people must
dislike her. Because I know
2:46:15
Mimi's
2:46:16
John C Dvorak: everyone loves
her because they're scared of
2:46:18
her.
2:46:21
Adam Curry: Now, I already have
a campaign manager already have
2:46:23
a campaign manager, Yoko. No,
you know, the keeper. It knows
2:46:29
when I when I become mayor. I'm
doing a podcast every day. And
2:46:33
Tina's gonna do traffic and
weather on the eights. That's
2:46:37
the eighth. That's when we'll
take calls. You know, it's like,
2:46:44
Hey, you're here. The Frederick
reference expert daily. Yeah, my
2:46:48
trash wasn't picked up. Oh,
okay. We'll get right on that.
2:46:55
John C Dvorak: Yes, that's the
calls you get. Yep. I look
2:46:58
forward to be up.
2:46:59
Adam Curry: I look forward to
it. That'll be hilarious. All
2:47:02
right. Thank you, Francisco.
Scotter manga we appreciate that
2:47:05
brother really do. And now we
get to the treasure portion.
2:47:10
People still like what we do.
And that's all we ask is if you
2:47:13
like it, send back whatever the
show is worth to you. That has
2:47:16
been the way we run this for 16
years. And there's still enough
2:47:21
people who like it. So we're
still here. Just barely. We're
2:47:25
gonna keep going until we fall
over. fall over. I
2:47:28
John C Dvorak: tell you like
that a woman in the art.
2:47:32
Adam Curry: The woman in the
art? Yeah,
2:47:34
John C Dvorak: the scary manga
piece out there. She put a
2:47:36
picture of her up and I said, Oh
my God, she's lucky she can
2:47:39
stand up.
2:47:40
Adam Curry: Okay. Hey, we kick
it off with the Baron at large
2:47:44
from Bridgewater, New Jersey.
This is interesting. I liked the
2:47:48
Baron at large haven't heard
from him in a bit and he comes
2:47:51
in with 526 36 Not quite sure
what the number represents.
2:47:58
That's an interesting number.
Quick. Thanks for doing the
2:48:01
work. Regard from the Baron at
large. Well, thank you, Baron at
2:48:04
large. We appreciate it. It's
it's always the big guys who
2:48:07
come in and save the day. Thank
you.
2:48:13
John C Dvorak: Notorious is up
38426 Thank you. Jonathan Adams
2:48:17
donation started at 365 as a
reminder of the sanity your
2:48:21
efforts help give me or give us
every day of the year and then I
2:48:26
added a few bucks to cover the
fees adding to the last one my
2:48:29
first no agenda meet up this
weekend. Thanks again. Notorious
2:48:32
Oh, he doesn't say where he's
from. So I don't know where I
2:48:35
don't know where he's going to
bed but it's 38426 I'm gonna
2:48:38
read the next one too is Jason
Smith in Sioux City. Iowa wants
2:48:41
me to read it. John by of golden
Colorado is a douchebag. That
2:48:49
guy is the absolute worst. No
jingles no karma. Thanks for
2:48:54
what you do. 343 75.
2:48:59
Adam Curry: Page LAPACK.
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 333 33.
2:49:04
We love that number that just
says it right there. You'd love

no agenda when you're donating
that. Thanks for all you do,
2:49:10
gents. I'm finally relinquishing
my douchebag status. Without you
2:49:15
guys, I would never have found
out my human rights had been
2:49:19
violated my whole life by being
misgendered constantly since my
2:49:23
name is often mistaken for a
woman. Despite having no I. I
2:49:28
never realized I should be so
upset about it. Glad to get to
2:49:32
join the ranks of the oppressed.
Please deduce me and throw in an
2:49:36

2:50:07
Daris Daris. Could be Daris and
Hanover, Massachusetts. 33333.
2:50:13
Pay no mind to those complaining
about locker room and boob talk.
2:50:20
As John said, they are being
silly. This was my excuse to
2:50:25
donate. Oh,
2:50:26
Adam Curry: see people always
just want a reason. Yep, they do
2:50:30
and reason and need a reason.
Then we have a switcheroo from
2:50:33
the end. No agenda meet up those
nd guys, ma'am. And guys and
2:50:37
gals don't want to miss gender
and your booty. Hi, John. Adam.
2:50:41
Thanks for the show. This goes
to Sir ripoff of the maple.
2:50:45
Thanks for the show. I'd like to
request one jingle hail to no
2:50:48

karma. All right, well, I can
2:50:52
play that. Look.
2:50:54
Unknown: We are fully and

2:51:21
no agenda. Right. Can I say?
Most people think I'm crazy and
2:51:26
I think they're right.
2:51:28
Adam Curry: Yes. That's AI for
you. You've got not heard that
2:51:40
one in yours?
2:51:42
John C Dvorak: Yes. A goodie.
Yeah, that
2:51:43
Adam Curry: is a golden oil.
golden oldie. Me
2:51:47
John C Dvorak: Well, Eli the
coffee guy from Bensenville
2:51:49
Illinois to 1212 and he says I
realized I never requested my D
2:51:55
douching. And want to make it
official.
2:51:58
Adam Curry: Please do
2:52:01
Unknown: you've been de deuced
2:52:05
John C Dvorak: to all those that
haven't donated What are you
2:52:07
waiting for JC DS recommended a
Dacian. J CDs recommendation on
2:52:15
the Costco Bordeaux superiore is
reason enough to pony up. I have
2:52:20
another thing to discuss here in
terms of Costco line. And I'll
2:52:24
do it right after this. Speaking
of I'd like to call out Chris
2:52:29
and Martina and all their
chickens as douchebags.
2:52:36
Meanwhile, check out gigawatt
coffee roasters.com and use the
2:52:40
code ITM 20 for 20% off your
coffee order. He has peaberry by
2:52:46
the way, I'd get that. No
jingles no karma. Stay
2:52:48
caffeinated. Okay, Eli, the
coffee guy. So Costco I brought
2:52:52
this up at the dinner table and
people haven't picked up on
2:52:56
this. But Misa imports this most
of the wine buying for Costco
2:53:00
they're out of Dallas. By the
way,
2:53:01
Adam Curry: can I just say
something? This is why people
2:53:04
need to listen to the donation
segment. This is where you get
2:53:07
the real tips people like I
didn't do need to I don't need
2:53:12
to listen to that you're missing
this.
2:53:16
John C Dvorak: So I've laid it
actually started about four or
2:53:19
five years ago Misa took one of
their Bordeaux guys and they go
2:53:24
out into the countryside. And
they bring in four bottles of
2:53:29
either 90 point or gold metal
wines or something that's
2:53:33
something makes them
distinctive. And they put up a
2:53:36
four pack of four different
obscure Bordeaux is usually from
2:53:40
obscure areas. Coat to Bordeaux,
typical. Some Bly wines would be
2:53:46
some wine, some Cadillac and
some of these other areas. And
2:53:49
there's these four wines are
bottled or separate for little
2:53:51
ones. They come in a little
wooden box through the with the
2:53:54
labels displayed clearly. And
they sell the four bottles of
2:53:58
wine for 2995 This is one of the
best
2:54:03
Adam Curry: wait for bottles.
Yeah. Wow.
2:54:08
John C Dvorak: Wow four bottles
of sub $10 Bordeaux, Bordeaux
2:54:11
sub $9 So it's cheap Bordeaux
that has something going on. I
2:54:16
would say that in the case of
this the most recent batch and
2:54:21
they bring these out about once
every six months or once every
2:54:23
year. The most recent batch I
don't think is the most Sterling
2:54:28
but I have picked up these
little as four packs and just
2:54:32
casually went gone through them.
They're terrific products for
2:54:36
the price. You can't buy wine,
California wine in particular or
2:54:40
domestic wine this good Texas
for sure. This good for that
2:54:45
kind of money. So if you see the
little package of the four
2:54:48
Bordeaux was in the wooden box,
always get it just three bucks G
2:54:55
six
2:54:56
Adam Curry: bucks a bottle.
That's crazy. That's crazy town.
2:54:58
John C Dvorak: It's crazy time.
Like,
2:55:00
Adam Curry: so, last night we
had dinner with the
2:55:03
international arms dealer. Oh
good who will be voting for me?
2:55:08
John C Dvorak: I hope so. And
2:55:09
Adam Curry: we we had a quay
wrong. Pender Fleur. Are you
2:55:16

2:55:18

2:55:39

I'll probably never see it. So
2:55:43
that's military bucks. Man.
We're drinking it. It's

is send the diploma. Yes,
3:11:10

Adam Curry: no, oh, no. Get on
the Get get on the stick people.
3:11:21

means you when you hit someone
in the mouth that leaves a nice
3:11:34
mark. You can also use it to
seal your import because of

Adam Curry: yes, the companion
to your no agenda show,
3:11:58
especially for those newer
listeners. What is it all about?
3:12:00
Well, this is where you go meet
your your tribe, your community,
3:12:03
your local community. This is
where you build up connections
3:12:06
connection is of course
protection, particularly with
3:12:09
the crazy times that are coming.
When Trump the dictator comes in
3:12:12
and starts killing people. You
want to have friends. You need
3:12:16
him. And if you're in
Alpharetta, Georgia or anywhere
3:12:20
in the vicinity today at six
o'clock the northern Georgia
3:12:23
monthly meetup takes place at
Cherry Street brewing if not
3:12:27
well on the 27th we have meetups
in South Carolina, Mount Laurel
3:12:32
Township, New Jersey. Let's see
we have Albany California a how
3:12:38
many California on the third?
Are you gonna go?
3:12:41
John C Dvorak: I have to the
edge.
3:12:42
Adam Curry: I think it's a
requirement. Is your handler
3:12:45
gonna go with you? Possibly
3:12:48
John C Dvorak: J or
3:12:49
Adam Curry: Mimi which handle
everybody bring the whole family
3:12:53
bring the whole divorce family
3:12:54
John C Dvorak: I have to say
this at this place where they're
3:12:56
doing this the malar club is
quite a nice, what was once a
3:12:59
dank bar. The dank bar used to
be a dank bar is really a nice
3:13:04
bar. Now,
3:13:05
Adam Curry: what's writing by
dank par because you know the
3:13:08
kids talk about art,
3:13:09
John C Dvorak: dank, dark, you
know kind of wet. You ever been
3:13:11
to a dank bar, you go in there
as dark you can't see anybody.
3:13:15
It's hard to recognize people.
It's usually kind of lit with a
3:13:18
kind of a red light and is and
there's a witness to it. So you
3:13:22
kind of wipe your face and it's
like wet. It's dank. It's like
3:13:26
being in the basement.
3:13:27
Adam Curry: Oh, that sounds
great. But it's no longer it's
3:13:30
not like that at
3:13:30
John C Dvorak: all. It's just
the opposite. Good. That's
3:13:34
bordering on a fern bar. As a
matter of fact,
3:13:37
Adam Curry: there will be a
meetup in Singapore on February
3:13:39
22. This is this is worldwide.
Kilkenny, Ireland Kilkenny
3:13:44
Ireland on March 2. And people
still thinking that
3:13:48
Fredericksburg, Texas on April
8, the day of the eclipse is a
3:13:52
good idea. It's not. I am not
going to come. I'll be here
3:13:55
protecting the homestead. Over
100,000 People are expected is
3:13:58
going to be a mess. There's
extra body bags. You don't want
3:14:00
to be one. And I'd like to thank
the insane Diego meetup people
3:14:05
for sending us a meetup report
in the morning. This is Rhett
3:14:08

meetup. This

3:14:13

3:14:15
we got a good story for you,
John. Everybody here has eaten
3:14:18
they were about to starve to
death. And now they didn't. So
3:14:21
that's a good story for you
John. This is

3:15:25
are not like a party. They're a
party a party. I'm sorry party.
3:15:29
It's always a party. It's great.
It's a lot of fun. Go to one.
3:15:33
All right. I think you should
start with your ISOs today. Why?
3:15:36
Because I always start with my
ISOs but
3:15:39
John C Dvorak: please start one
more time. Okay. Whoa,
3:15:42
Unknown: Nelly.
3:15:45
Adam Curry: I like it this
morning, Joe. Whoa, Nelly. And
3:15:48
this one your brain is stupid. I
like that one too. These are
3:15:53
like we play my Whoa Nelly
again. Whoa, Nelly. With a mica
3:15:59
with a mica twist.
3:16:01
John C Dvorak: I don't know. I
think I can get beat debt. But
3:16:03
let's start with this one
measles measles Okay, yeah.
3:16:11
Adam Curry: What's your other
one?
3:16:12
John C Dvorak: Okay, the other
one I think is the clear winner.
3:16:15
It's it's crystal clear easy
understanding. Here it goes.
3:16:18
Interesting. Very, very
interesting episode.
3:16:23
Adam Curry: Wow, I I'm I'm torn
here because I also could make a
3:16:27
case for Whoa. Measles.
3:16:33
John C Dvorak: I could make your
your you're doing ad libbing.
3:16:37
You're making things. Okay? You
want to do that? I'm in I'm
3:16:41
freewheeling.
3:16:42
Adam Curry: Whoa, measles. Wait,
let me see if I could do it
3:16:44
again. I have to I have to get
it right. I have to get it
3:16:46
right.
3:16:47
John C Dvorak: How do you say
whoa, measles melon. Yeah, okay,
3:16:52
you can have that but but very,
very interesting episode.
3:16:56
Adam Curry: Kind of dank too.
3:16:58
John C Dvorak: I'll tell you.
I'm gonna move it and I'm gonna
3:16:59
breed submit that one in a
future episode. Okay.
3:17:03
Adam Curry: I will take it.
Thank you. And now it's time for
3:17:06
Google. We are running late, but
this will never end the show
3:17:13
without some good news. What
Yeah, this
3:17:16
John C Dvorak: is Addison. The
poor Addison girl has some very
3:17:19
strange ailment was given one of
those wishful thinking whatever
3:17:24
is go wish make a wish things.
Wishful thinking. Wow. Here we
3:17:32
go. Good news. With Addison.
3:17:34
Unknown: Take a look at what's
sure to be one of the most
3:17:36
memorable days of 12 year old
Addison kypreos His life how
3:17:39
much fun have you had today?
Lots
3:17:41
of fun. I love I've loved this.
This is probably one of the best
3:17:44
days ever. So Allison
3:17:45
and her family now live in
Wisconsin. Their roots are in
3:17:48
Northern California. Addison's
not just a sharks fan, but
3:17:51
possibly one of their biggest
she got the surreal opportunity
3:17:54
to join them on the ice at their
practice ring.
3:17:57
I really summer. Like guys, I've
obviously beat.
3:18:03
Despite Addison's energy and
enthusiasm. She's been dealing
3:18:06
with a devastating disorder.
Addison
3:18:08
suffers from a rare stone
disorder called EPP. Basically,
3:18:11
like a few minutes outside on
the wrong day, can equal pain
3:18:14
that's equal to a second degree
like burn.
3:18:16
Addison's disorder also led to
stage five liver failure. The
3:18:20
nonprofit shadow jumpers helps
families who are faced with rare
3:18:22
Sun disorders. They connected
with the Kyrios family as
3:18:25
Addison was going through liver
treatments.
3:18:27
And what we found was she her
bedroom when she was relaxing
3:18:30
and got hit with sun all day. So
what we did is we renovate her
3:18:34
basement to also act as a
makeshift bedroom for her. But
3:18:37
while we were doing that, we
learned she was maybe the
3:18:39
biggest sharks fan we've ever
met. So
3:18:41
Chateau jumpers got in touch
with the sharks Foundation, who
3:18:43
planned a funfilled two day
event for Addison starting
3:18:46
Friday.
3:18:47
And we hear that there are young
adults or youth out there
3:18:50
dealing with chronic or critical
illnesses, but they're, you
3:18:53
know, big sharks fans and hockey
brings them joy. We always want
3:18:57
to step in and bridge that gap.
Not only
3:18:59
does Addison get to skate with
the sharks, she got a custom
3:19:02
hockey stick cut for her locker
room tour and gets to see her
3:19:05
first NHL game. Just some of the
excitement on her packed
3:19:08
itinerary. One of the biggest
things she's taking away from
3:19:11
the thrilling two day experience
is gratitude.
3:19:13
Thank you. And I appreciate
everything in San Jose
3:19:17
Zach Fuentes, ABC Seven News.
And
3:19:20
Adam Curry: you can see at us it
is a really good skater and has
3:19:23
a nice wrist shot. And I am so
happy that all those groups and
3:19:27
the sharks came together to make
her dream come true. So nice.
3:19:32
That's that's a nice good news
story.
3:19:35
John C Dvorak: That girl can
skate. Oh, really? He skates
3:19:38
like a hockey player with a kind
of hunched over going like a bat
3:19:41
out of hell. I mean, she is
really this washer, skate with
3:19:45
the pros was like wow, this
little 12 year old can skate.
3:19:51
News, everyone.
3:19:53
Adam Curry: Very good news,
everybody. Oops, sorry. We need
3:19:56

jingles people Just to keep the
3:20:01
segment Fresh, fresh, let's keep
it fresh
3:20:04
John C Dvorak: jingles not
stories. We got jingles?
3:20:07
Adam Curry: Yes, stories
aplenty, apparently?
3:20:11
John C Dvorak: Well, more than
one. We
3:20:13
Adam Curry: got endless show
mixes coming up for us from
3:20:17
Professor J. Jones. Danny loose
is back, Danny, good to see you,
3:20:21
brother. And we have a mix from
that clip custodian himself.
3:20:27
Neal Jones took time out of his
day. And he's very busy, believe
3:20:31
me. So those are coming up. And
we appreciate all of our end of
3:20:36
show mixers. Thank you all so
much for supporting the show
3:20:39

3:20:42

honestly, I'd pay to do this

to do it very long, but I would.

rather than a transition of

3:23:40
because I don't think the border

The post cold war era has come

attitude because he is the

Antichrist. There is a
distinctly religious undertone
3:24:51
to his campaigning. It's not
about the virtue anymore. It's
3:24:55
about the vise that Trump
expresses. Trump is in some ways
