Ukraine vs Russia
Private investors to power a $15 bln fund to rebuild Ukraine
Waterfall structure
The new fund has “several aspects that are quite unique,” being focused on equity and profit sharing, according to Hildebrand. “The first return goes to the private sector, then public, then beyond a certain return the upside could be again shared with the public sector participants.”
Others, such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development which is already lending billions to Ukraine, are welcome to join the fund. “This is not a competition,” Hildebrand said. The aim would be to include European and American investors, while the Ukrainian government is “open to having skin in the game” and may put in some of the first-loss capital, Hildebrand said.
Ash said countries must band together to seize Russia’s $300 billion of frozen central bank assets and support a Ukrainian victory, which he described as “a Western public good.”

Tik Tok a threat - What about Educational Tech apps BOTG
Gentlemen,
First, I would like to thank you for my lack of spin, whether in, out, up or down, on this and many other topics. I have been a producer for several years now, nearing knighthood, which will coincide with my 40th birthday. More to come there.
Lost in any discussion of the 'so-called' tik tok ban is the threat posed by other types of technologies, like educational tech apps that are owned or partly owned by Chinese firms. No school child, or parent, in the US can avoid these.
Class Dojo, a popular one which my child's school forces us to use (there is no other way to communicate and receive information) recently completed [Series D funding which was led by Tencent](https://www.crunchbase.com/funding_round/classdojo-series-d--bcb85d98). The amount and nature of data this app collects seems like a much bigger concern than dance videos and shopping, one would think.
Perhaps I am missing something, or not savvy in understanding how this type of finance works, but maybe our "leaders" should be a little more concerned with who has significant access to our educational system.
[Elon Musk was involved in them early on](https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-ad-astra-classdojo-conundrum-ethics-puzzles-2018-8), adding to my concern. [They have a checkered past when it comes to privacy.](https://theconversation.com/classdojo-raises-concerns-about-childrens-rights-111033)
Maybe the overall concern should be that we are turning over education to video game companies and other surveillance creeps. That's probably the real lesson here.
Thanks gents

737 Panel Mishap Boots on the Ground
Good Morning Adam, I'd like to offer you a boots on the ground report for the most recent Boe= ing mishap that occurred on the United Airlines Flight 433. I'm Shawn a li= censed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer specializing in Composites from Canad= inavia. I have been in this industry for over 10 years and have worked on = hundreds of 737's. Needless to say I'm extremely familiar with this aircra= ft. I've repaired the exact panel that had an "exciting end" dozens of tim= es; naturally on other aircraft. The fairing that seemingly exploded midflight is one of many 737 wing to f= uselage panels that suffer from elongated holes due to excessive vibration= . The steel countersunk screws are fastened to the far softer fiberglass l= aminate which in time will vibrate and expand the holes to a point where t= he panel will simply not be attached anymore. Once the hole elongation sta= rts the screws which are fastened to floating nutplates will start to erod= e the original hole diameter.=C2=A0 From what i can gather from the photo = in the article via Zero Hedge an excessive amount of the fasteners were si= mply installed but not holding the panel in place. At a certain point duri= ng the flight the airflow would've lifted an edge and the panel would have= became a shredded mess of fiberglass and Nomex honeycomb core. I could go on further about this particular accident but it simply comes d= own to piss poor maintenance by United. Anyone with a set of eyes can see = elongated holes on panels the visual cues are impossible to miss. Usually = black streaks from the fastener holes following the airstream.=C2=A0=C2=A0 Hope this bring you some insight. Thanks for all you do. Shawn the Candinavian
Boeing SOAP & CARDS BOTG
The soap they use is an approved soap based on specifications. For example, when I worked on the G280 wind development, because is a wet wing (fuel inside), we used an approved soap to check for bubbles to find leaks. Some of the shelf soaps cannot be used because of the caustic soda and all airplanes has to be washed with a special soap because of Galvanic Corrosion. For the ignorant reporter, it looks like dish soap.
About the Credit Card. It is a gauge to check for gaps. The reason why is because plastic does not leave a mark on the assembly, it is cheap and disposable if it wears out. It is a Go No-Go gauge. Very common practice in aviation. Again, an nasty reporter seeking to harm the company.
About defects, what is the defenition of a defect? It is all based on the engineering, the part of assembly has to conform 100% per engineering (blue print). However, a small scratch can trigger a Rejection Tag. An assembly could have 100s of tags and still good, all you have to do is re-work the tags.
Boeing loves those because they get a discount per tag. Spirit get the short end of the stick trying to make an 100% perfect part for an imperfect world. Boeing gets the assemblies on an discount and they work the tags themselves (minor work).
Here is another angle, maybe is not Airbus, what about Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman?
Keep in mind those 2 cats are competing on the same arena and Boeing is a good pray to dismember the operations and spread the pieces among themselves. Look back before the 1960s and how many Aviation manufacturing firms existed, look now how many are left after all the mergers.
Cyber Pandemic
Boots on the ground - cybersecurity healthcare
I am in cybersecurity threat intelligence for a healthcare org/hospital = system. No government intel experience, so not a spook. John had mentioned being able to quickly recover via backup. What many of = the threat actors are doing in this space is gaining a foothold first, usu= ally through phishing, then trying=C2=A0 to escalate their way up to domai= n admin credentials. They can then make their way to corrupting the backup= s. Many organizations do not routinely practice doing a full recovery from= backup, so they may be unaware that their backups have been tampered with= . For example, a friend of mine worked at a manufacturing company. The compa= ny was attacked by Conti, who first got in and corrupted weeks worth of ba= ckups. This went unnoticed until they dropped the hammer and ransomed the = company. Their dudes named Ben were unable to recover from recent backups = due to them being corrupted/attacked and had to essentially rebuild the ne= twork and attempt to rebuild their data starting from a much earlier point= ... months back. We are seeing that healthcare is becoming a juicy target for ransomware ga= ngs. As an industry, we don't make widgets, we have people's lives in our = care. When a hospital is forced to go back to paper due to a cyberattack, = it's not just an inconvenience. Many smaller hospital systems also don't h= ave a large investment in cybersecurity. With lives on the line, it's perc= eived that the willingness of a hospital to pay the ransom is higher than = an average target. Our data is valuable for fraud schemes and identity the= ft as well. Many medical devices are expensive, outdated, and may not have= regular security updates.=C2=A0 An interesting tactic that has surfaced recently as well; Blackcat/ALPHV r= eported one of their victims to the SEC for failing to notify the SEC that= they had been compromised.=C2=A0https://www.infosecurity-magazine.com/new= s/ransomware-group-reports-victim-to/ Other threat actors are giving up on even bothering to encrypt the data, j= ust stealing it and threatening to leak it.=C2=A0 Happy to talk more if you'd like or send in periodic comments as news warr= ants.=C2=A0 73 ITM,

ITM Adam,
First, sorry for the long email, I know you get overloaded with information.
Also, if you share anything just leave my name out.
Enjoying the live show and heard the mention of Sweet baby inc. I wanted to report some of my experience working at Insomniac Games, which has been called out through this.
Before the pandemic hit, stuff started to really go off the rails at the studio. During the Miles Morales game some "consultants" were brought in to help with BLM messaging and what not.
Fast forward to the pandemic. The studio became a work from home studio and as part of the norm, they kept doing their town halls over zoom. The meetings were generally just a time for the higher up to talk about upcoming projects, profits and what not. At one of the meetings a girl from the studio opened up her web cam and called out a guy at the studio that was in a supervisor role. Apparently this guy had been stalking her. Parking next to her and even following her home, etc. She had reported this to HR numerous time but was met with a "we are looking into this."
The girl calling him out in front of 200+ people sent a sort of ripple through the studio and they had us take the week off. When we got back they had started doing more town halls where everyone could talk about their feelings. They even started bringing in drag queens to do cooking meetings and comedy shows. Started to bring in a lot of Dr. level people to do talks about race, sex, etc. They also brought in "managers" to help us as artists. I would have to meet with this manager every 2 weeks and the meetings were hardly ever about work. They ran much like a therapy session.
During this time it was like trans and gay people started coming out of the wood working. Every meeting a new person was flying their flag and taking to the slack channels to promote the messaging. HR was continually backing these messages by promoting social events. These new social justice warriors started making suggestions to turn characters from Spider-man gay. We even had a trans Black Cat character. This was all presented to Marvel who eventually said no. The artists promoting this were so pissed they began trying to turn every character Bi, and pushing their message even harder. Even to the point of bombarding the CEO with emails to send to the head of Sony to take a stance on social issues (this was all leaked to the media). [https://www.washingtonpost.com/video-games/2022/05/16/sony-insomniac-roe-v-wade-email-ratchet-clank-spider-man/](https://www.washingtonpost.com/video-games/2022/05/16/sony-insomniac-roe-v-wade-email-ratchet-clank-spider-man/)
After some time of dealing with this crap, I told my manager that I didn't want to attend the race, sex and what not meetings. A few months later I was fired and told that I didn't fit the culture.
Sweet baby Inc may play a part in all this, but from my observations, it was a small group of very loud voices continually pushing politics while the rest of us were just trying to do our damn job.

There Is No Such Thing As Long Covid, Australian Study Finds
According to the European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID), the study suggests long Covid symptoms are indistinguishable from those of seasonal flu and other respiratory illnesses. Additionally, it found no significant increase in moderate to severe functional limitations a year after infection, regardless of the illness.
Queensland Chief Health Officer John Gerrard suggests the high prevalence of Covid-19 during the study period might explain the focus on long Covid symptoms. Essentially, the sheer number of Covid cases may have made post-viral effects more noticeable.
"In health systems with highly vaccinated populations, long-term Covid may have appeared to be a distinct and severe illness because of high volumes of Covid-19 cases during the pandemic," he told 9News Australia.

Elon Musk's SpaceX Building Global Satellite Surveillance Network for U.S. Intelligence Agency - The Last Refuge
Sun, 17 Mar 2024 02:48
According to a recent Reuters report, Elon Musk signed a $1.8 billion contract in 2021 with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) to launch a system of orbiting surveillance satellites.
According to the report, ''if successful, the sources said the program would significantly advance the ability of the U.S. government and military to quickly spot potential targets almost anywhere on the globe.''
Remind me again exactly when Elon Musk bought the Twitter platform.
WASHINGTON, March 16 (Reuters) '' SpaceX is building a network of hundreds of spy satellites under a classified contract with a U.S. intelligence agency, five sources familiar with the program said, demonstrating deepening ties between billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk's space company and national security agencies.
The network is being built by SpaceX's Starshield business unit under a $1.8 billion contract signed in 2021 with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), an intelligence agency that manages spy satellites, the sources said.
The plans show the extent of SpaceX's involvement in U.S. intelligence and military projects and illustrate a deeper Pentagon investment into vast, low-Earth orbiting satellite systems aimed at supporting ground forces.
If successful, the sources said the program would significantly advance the ability of the U.S. government and military to quickly spot potential targets almost anywhere on the globe.
The contract signals growing trust by the intelligence establishment of a company whose owner has clashed with the Biden administration and sparked controversy over the use of Starlink satellite connectivity in the Ukraine war, the sources said.
The Wall Street Journal reported in February the existence of a $1.8 billion classified Starshield contract with an unknown intelligence agency without detailing the purposes of the program.
Reuters reporting discloses for the first time that the SpaceX contract is for a powerful new spy system with hundreds of satellites bearing Earth-imaging capabilities that can operate as a swarm in low orbits, and that the spy agency that Musk's company is working with is the NRO.
Reuters was unable to determine when the new network of satellites would come online and could not establish what other companies are part of the program with their own contracts. (more)
Knowing that for a period of about ten years beginning in 2012, USG/DHS essentially operated inside the platform of Twitter for the purposes of controlling public opinion, I find it very challenging to believe the relationships with DHS, FBI, HHS and USIC '' along with the Pentagon and State Dept, just ended after Musk purchased the platform.
One could make a compelling argument the purchase of Twitter held an ancillary benefit and protected the USIC from revelations that would not be controlled by any other process. Long before the ''Twitter Files'' were released under tight controls, the structure of Jack's Magic Coffee shop was increasingly visible.
Beyond the Twitter Files, the COVID-19 pandemic revealed just how much control the government held over the platform. A $1.8 billion USG contract buys a lot of symbiosis and influence.

Israel coerced UN agency for Palestinian refugees into LYING about Hamas links - YourDestinationNow
Sun, 17 Mar 2024 02:29
Numerous employees from the  United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East(UNRWA) say that  Israel pressured them to lie about their employer having ties to Hamas and the Oct. 7 false flag attack in exchange for being released from illegal detention.
The false claims instigated by Israel resulted in the UNRWA firing 12 of its staffers earlier this year due to unfounded allegations that they actively participated in the Hamas terror campaign.
A February 2024 report from the UNRWA that was reviewed by Reuters details allegations of mistreatment of Palestinians in Israeli detention centers, including several Palestinians who work for the UNRWA.
According to UNRWA Director of Communications Juliette Touma, the agency is planning to give an 11-page, unpublished report about these allegations to agencies both inside and outside the United Nations for evaluation for potential human rights abuses.
"When the war comes to an end there needs to be a series of inquiries to look into all violations of human rights," she said.
UNRWA: A tool of Hamas? The report in question details how Palestinian UNRWA staffers were detained and abused by the Israel Defense Forces. Israeli soldiers subjected the staffers to severe physical beatings and waterboarding, and threatened to hurt their family members.
"Agency staff members have been subject to threats and coercion by the Israeli authorities while in detention, and pressured to make false statements against the Agency, including that the Agency has affiliations with Hamas and that UNRWA staff members took part in the 7 October 2023 atrocities," the report explains.
Palestinian detainees also reported that Israeli soldiers humiliated and beat other detainees as well, subjecting them to dog attacks, sexual violence, and deprivation of medical treatment. This horrific abuse at the hands of Israel has resulted in the deaths of many.
Since the UNRWA refused to allow Reuters to see transcripts of its interviews with those making these allegations, some are saying that this points to the UNRWA being a tool of Hamas.
"Obviously, UNRWA has much to gain by falsely accusing Israel after it has been exposed as a tool of Hamas," one commenter at Times of Israel wrote.
Another suggested that Israel is abusing captives in much the same way as it claimed Hamas did to Israeli hostages. At the same time, the UN "is not a fan of the Jewish state," so determining which claims are true and which are false is a challenge.
Someone else told the story of a Jewish photojournalist friend of his who encountered the very same thing the UNRWA is now claiming Israel did to its Palestinian employees.
"Israel has long used torture as a means of trying to coerce Palestinians into telling them what they want to hear," this person wrote. "In the 1970s one of my Jewish friends who was a photojournalist had an assignment to go to Lebanon and Jordan to report on Palestinian refugee camps. While in Jordan a Palestinian man told him he could stay in his apartment. When the man took off his shirt at night my friend saw that his back was covered with many small scars."
"He asked the man what happened to him. The man said that when he was 17 the Jews captured him. They tortured him trying to make him admit he was a fedayeen. They broke both of his arms and put out their cigarettes not just on his back but on other parts of his body. I saw the picture of his back. The man said that before he was tortured, he was not a fedayeen. The torture made him a fedayeen."
Airbus A350 software bug forces airlines to turn planes off and on every 149 hours ' The Register
Sat, 16 Mar 2024 22:08
Some models of Airbus A350 airliners still need to be hard rebooted after exactly 149 hours, despite warnings from the EU Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) first issued two years ago.
In a mandatory airworthiness directive (AD) reissued earlier this week, EASA urged operators to turn their A350s off and on again to prevent "partial or total loss of some avionics systems or functions".
The revised AD, effective from tomorrow (26 July), exempts only those new A350-941s which have had modified software pre-loaded on the production line. For all other A350-941s, operators need to completely power the airliner down before it reaches 149 hours of continuous power-on time.
Concerningly, the original 2017 AD was brought about by "in-service events where a loss of communication occurred between some avionics systems and avionics network" (sic). The impact of the failures ranged from "redundancy loss" to "complete loss on a specific function hosted on common remote data concentrator and core processing input/output modules".
In layman's English, this means that prior to 2017, at least some A350s flying passengers were suffering unexplained failures of potentially flight-critical digital systems.
Airbus' rival Boeing very publicly suffered from a similar time-related problem with its 787 Dreamliner: back in 2015 a memory overflow bug was discovered that caused the 787's generators to shut themselves down after 248 days of continual power-on operation. A software counter in the generators' firmware, it was found, would overflow after that precise length of time. The Register is aware that this is not the only software-related problem to have plagued the 787 during its earlier years.
It is common for airliners to be left powered on while parked at airport gates so maintainers can carry out routine systems checks between flights, especially if the aircraft is plugged into ground power.
The remedy for the A350-941 problem is straightforward according to the AD: install Airbus software updates for a permanent cure, or switch the aeroplane off and on again.
Flying down the rabbit hole An Airbus marketing publication (PDF) from 2013 explains that the A350's Common Remote Data Concentrator (CRDC) units were designed to "allow significant wiring simplification", with an aerospace trade mag going into greater depth to explain that Airbus' newest airliner design features 29 CRDCs "spread around the aircraft" and working in concert with 21 Core Processing Input Output Module (CPIOM) modules, interfacing with various systems and sensors.
CRDCs take input data (say, the exact position of a flight control surface) and turn that into an ARINC 429-compatible digital signal for transmission over the A350's internal network to a CPIOM. That network runs over a protocol developed by Airbus called ADFX, or Avionics Full-Duplex Switched Ethernet. The CPIOM is effectively a mini computer; in the A350 CPIOMs run discrete avionics "applications", in the sense of apps. CRDCs themselves do not host or run applications, suggesting that the failure condition detailed in the EASA AD may mean loss of a particular app on a CPIOM after a buffer overflow.
A Delta Airlines training manual on Scribd, of all places, explains what the A350's CPIOM apps are. They include: the fuel quantity and management system, which tells pilots how much juice their bird has drunk; the cabin pressure control system; wing ice protection systems; the engine bleed air system, which among other things supplies oxygen to the passenger cabin for you to breathe; and the landing gear extension and retraction system.

Airlines acquiring the A350-941 model subject to the EASA AD include Air France, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Lufthansa, as well as Air China and Taiwan's China Airlines. Both British Airways and Virgin Atlantic are buying A350-1041s, which are a different model from the affected A350-941s.
There are no A350s (ICAO codes A359 and A35K) currently on the UK register, though registrations have been reserved for those being acquired by British airlines.

There Is No Such Thing As Long Covid, Australian Study Finds
Sat, 16 Mar 2024 21:58
Long Covid is a term that can cause unnecessary fear.
A new study by Queensland Health in Australia challenges the concept of "long Covid." Researchers found no difference in long-term effects between those who had Covid-19, those who tested negative, and even those diagnosed with the flu, according to 9News.
The study examined over 5,000 Queensland residents experiencing respiratory symptoms in late spring 2022, when the Omicron variant was dominant. Nearly half tested positive for Covid, while a portion of those testing negative were confirmed to have influenza, as per the news outlet.
"However, we found that the rates of ongoing symptoms and functional impairment are indistinguishable from other post-viral illnesses. These findings underscore the importance of comparing post-Covid-19 outcomes with those following other respiratory infections, and of further research into post-viral syndromes."
Promoted
He said the findings meant it was time to stop saying "long Covid. We believe it is time to stop using terms like 'long Covid'," he said.
"They wrongly imply there is something unique and exceptional about the longer-term symptoms associated with this virus. This terminology can cause unnecessary fear and, in some cases, hypervigilance and longer symptoms that can impede recovery," he added.

MSM deathly silent as PCR test legally ruled useless to test for Covid - Nexus Newsfeed
Sat, 16 Mar 2024 17:20
Landmark legal ruling finds that Covid tests are not fit for purpose. So what do the MSM do? They ignore it
Four German holidaymakers who were illegally quarantined in Portugal after one was judged to be positive for Covid-19 have won their case, in a verdict that condemns the widely-used PCR test as being up to 97-percent unreliable.
Earlier this month, Portuguese judges upheld a decision from a lower court that found the forced quarantine of four holidaymakers to be unlawful. The case centred on the reliability (or lack thereof) of Covid-19 PCR tests.
The verdict, delivered on November 11, followed an appeal against a writ of habeas corpus filed by four Germans against the Azores Regional Health Authority. This body had been appealing a ruling from a lower court which had found in favour of the tourists, who claimed that they were illegally confined to a hotel without their consent. The tourists were ordered to stay in the hotel over the summer after one of them tested positive for coronavirus in a PCR test - the other three were labelled close contacts and therefore made to quarantine as well.
Unreliable, with a strong chance of false positives
The deliberation of the Lisbon Appeal Court is comprehensive and fascinating. It ruled that the Azores Regional Health Authority had violated both Portuguese and international law by confining the Germans to the hotel. The judges also said that only a doctor can ''diagnose'' someone with a disease, and were critical of the fact that they were apparently never assessed by one.
They were also scathing about the reliability of the PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test, the most commonly used check for Covid.
The conclusion of their 34-page ruling included the following: ''In view of current scientific evidence, this test shows itself to be unable to determine beyond reasonable doubt that such positivity corresponds, in fact, to the infection of a person by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.''
In the eyes of this court, then, a positive test does not correspond to a Covid case. The two most important reasons for this, said the judges, are that, ''the test's reliability depends on the number of cycles used'' and that ''the test's reliability depends on the viral load present.'' In other words, there are simply too many unknowns surrounding PCR testing.
Tested positive? There could be as little as a 3% chance it's correct
This is not the first challenge to the credibility of PCR tests. Many people will be aware that their results have a lot to do with the number of amplifications that are performed, or the 'cycle threshold.' This number in most American and European labs is 35''40 cycles, but experts have claimed that even 35 cycles is far too many, and that a more reasonable protocol would call for 25''30 cycles. (Each cycle exponentially increases the amount of viral DNA in the sample).
Earlier this year, data from three US states '' New York, Nevada and Massachusetts '' showed that when the amount of the virus found in a person was taken into account, up to 90 percent of people who tested positive could actually have been negative, as they may have been carrying only tiny amounts of the virus.
The Portuguese judges cited a study conducted by ''some of the leading European and world specialists,'' which was published by Oxford Academic at the end of September. It showed that if someone tested positive for Covid at a cycle threshold of 35 or higher, the chances of that person actually being infected is less than three percent, and that ''the probability of'... receiving a false positive is 97% or higher.''
While the judges in this case admitted that the cycle threshold used in Portuguese labs was unknown, they took this as further proof that the detention of the tourists was unlawful. The implication was that the results could not be trusted. Because of this uncertainty, they stated that there was "no way this court would ever be able to determine" whether the tourist who tested positive was indeed a carrier of the virus, or whether the others had been exposed to it.
Sshhh '' don't tell anyone
It is a sad indictment of our mainstream media that such a landmark ruling, of such obvious and pressing international importance, has been roundly ignored. If one were making (flimsy) excuses for them, one could say that the case escaped the notice of most science editors because it has been published in Portuguese. But there is a full English translation of the appeal, and alternative media managed to pick it up.
And it isn't as if Portugal is some remote, mysterious nation where news is unreliable or whose judges are suspect '' this is a western EU country with a large population and a similar legal system to many other parts of Europe. And it is not the only country whose institutions are clashing with received wisdom on Covid. Finland's national health authority has disputed the WHO's recommendation to test as many people as possible for coronavirus, saying it would be a waste of taxpayer's money, while poorer South East Asian countries are holding off on ordering vaccines, citing an improper use of finite resources.
Testing, especially PCR testing, is the basis for the entire house of cards of Covid restrictions that are wreaking havoc worldwide. From testing comes case numbers. From case numbers come the 'R number,' the rate at which a carrier infects others. From the 'dreaded' R number comes the lockdowns and the restrictions, such as England's new and baffling tiered restrictions that come into force next week.
The daily barrage of statistics is familiar to us all by this point, but as time goes on the evidence that something may be deeply amiss with the whole foundation of our reaction to this pandemic '' the testing regime '' continues to mount.

VIDEO - James Crumbley, father of Ethan Crumbley, found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in son's school shooting
Sun, 17 Mar 2024 13:36
PONTIAC, Mich. '-- A jury on Thursday convicted James Crumbley of involuntary manslaughter in connection with his teenage son's deadly school shooting in 2021, in step with his wife, who was found guilty last month on the same charge.
The jury's decision after about 10 hours of deliberations caps a landmark case that for the first time in the U.S. held the parents of a mass school shooter criminally responsible. James and Jennifer Crumbley's son, Ethan, who was 15 when he opened fire at Oxford High School in suburban Detroit, pleaded guilty as an adult and was sentenced in December to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
"These were egregious facts in this case. These parents could have prevented this tragedy. It was foreseeable," Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said after the verdict.
"With just the smallest of efforts, they could have prevented this shooting and saved these kids' lives," she said.
James Crumbley, 47, faces up to 15 years in prison per the four counts of involuntary manslaughter, each one representing a murdered student. Jennifer Crumbley, 45, will be sentenced in April.
Prosecutors said James Crumbley had bought Ethan a 9 mm Sig Sauer as a gift a day after Thanksgiving, at a difficult time in his son's life when he was struggling emotionally because his best friend had moved away. Crumbley is not accused of knowing about the attack beforehand, which his son had warned about in journal entries.
His attorney, Mariell Lehman, said after the verdict that James Crumbley "did not know that his son could or would harm anyone or that he had obtained the means to do so. James feels terrible about what happened that day to Hana St. Juliana, Madisyn Baldwin, Tate Myre, Justin Shilling, and the many others affected."
Parents of the four children killed spoke after the guilty verdict and said no other parent should have to go through what they have.
''We can put people on the moon, we can build skyscrapers, huge monuments like the Hoover Dam '-- and we can't keep our kids safe in schools,'' Steve St. Juliana, the father of Hana, said. ''I think people just need to wake up and take action. Stop accepting the excuses.''
Some of the parents also said the school failed their children, and called for change in leadership.
An attorney for Jennifer Crumbley, Shannon Smith, declined to comment after Thursday's verdict.
''We believe the victims, their families, and the community need and deserve the space and time to begin healing from this tragedy," Smith said.
While the cases against the husband and wife largely mirrored each other '-- with many of the same witnesses testifying in both trials '-- prosecutors did not delve as deeply into James Crumbley's social and work life. Testimony took less than a week, and Crumbley did not take the stand in his own defense, like Jennifer Crumbley had.
His actions in the lead-up to and the day of the shooting played a vital role. School staff testified that the Crumbleys were called to Oxford High that morning about a drawing made by their son depicting a gun and a person shot. The parents didn't tell school officials he had access to a weapon and said they couldn't take him back home that day, saying they had work.
A computer crimes expert testified that James Crumbley had not begun his DoorDash delivery job until after the meeting and that when he started taking orders, he drove by the family's home four times '-- with the prosecution suggesting he had the opportunity to check on the gun and ensure it was safely secured.
Crumbley later told investigators he hid the 9 mm handgun in an armoire and placed the ammunition underneath jeans in another drawer.
Ethan Crumbley would go on to kill four students: Justin Shilling; Madisyn Baldwin, 17; Tate Myre, 16; and Hana St. Juliana, 14.
During closing arguments Wednesday, McDonald, the prosecutor, said the deaths were "preventable and foreseeable" if Crumbley had done any number of "tragically small efforts," and she attempted to undercut the defense by telling jurors that parents can be responsible gun owners no matter if their child is planning a mass shooting.
''This case is not a statement about guns. It's not a statement about parental responsibility. It's not a case about kids doing kid things,'' she said.
