I've been a carrier, proudly serving my community for over 26 years. I can tell you that granting access for UPS/FedEx/Amazon will create security issues. If this happens and anything I deliver goes missing whatsoever, do not come to me about it and good luck filing a police report. With several different people accessing the mailbox, how will the police be able to track down a thief?
Furthermore, with other carriers delivering to your mailbox, that box will fill up faster. Do you know what happens when your box gets full and I can't put any more mail in it? It means you're standing inlines at the Post Office to pick up your mail.
Do you think we'll care about missing or misdelivered mail then?
What DOGE says about pricing and market forces are true. If the mail was priced according to market forces postage would be an arm and leg, just like other companies.
It gets better Adam. You know about Deutsche Post and it's privatization, right? What about the Royal Mail and others? If privatization were to happen with the USPS, you would kiss six day delivery goodbye. You might kiss all delivery goodbye. There is no mail delivery in Canada and a private owner will look first to cut costs. While I don't have too much of an issue with a restructuring of middle and upper management as a cost savings measure or with automation at mail sorting facilities, service cuts will be considered.
The USPS desperately needs a restructuring of it's bloated management but it needs a new computer system and new tracking system. It needs flexibility with pricing and decision making. It needs state of the art vehicles. It needs competent leaders. Make ME Postmaster General and I'll deliver you a better American Postal Service!!!
The USPS was set up for failure when Congress passed a mandate requiring in 2005, that the USPS has to prefund future retirees healthcare benefits 75 years in advance. Congress tied our hands, put us in cement shoes and shoved us into the water. The American public still has no idea and still expects us to tread water. The whole world is going full ham and potatoes. Go figure.

Pope dies. Right before they seal up a mystery cardinal shows up who was over the secret diocese of Kabul (oh, and he's Mexican). Scandals unfold and the front runner falls from grace to where this mystery guy gets in after a stirring speech. Turns out he ALSO has ovaries that were discovered during an appendectomy. Oh, and though in Islamic terrorist acts happening during Conclave.

Diddy lawyer quits analysis
· A fee dispute. This can happen when you have many lawyers on a single case. Oh, the squabbling!
· A failure to pay fees. Does anyone know if Diddy has access to funds?
· A sharp disagreement on strategy.
· Diddy’s refusal to follow his lawyers’ advice. I’ll give two big examples:
1. Sometimes lawyers will say things like, “You cannot testify. If you testify, you lose.” But then the client says, “The hell I won’t! I’m innocent and I _will_ tell my story!” At that point, lawyer may not want to waste his time. (This seems less likely here, since Diddy presumably has money to pay the fees.)
2. Sometimes the prosecution will offer a sweetheart deal, but the client will refuse to take it. Here, we might imagine DOJ telling Diddy that they’ll give him a break if he’ll name names, while Diddy says no way. (This is purely hypothetical, but definitely within the realm of possibility.)
· Diddy’s firing Ricco from the team.
· Diddy is planning to perjure himself.

India Freedom of Speech BOTG
It's appalling that UK and Germany are suppressing the freedom of speech of their citizens.
But there is far dangerous precedence is put up in India.
Our prime minister Naremdra Modi is a mixture of Robert Mugabe and Idi Amin.
He on multiple times unleashed CBI (Indian version of FBI), income tax department, ED (Enforcement Directorate, a law enforcement division that tackles financial crimes), NIA (another national level law enforcement agency) against political opponent's who hard criticize them. The judiciary system which supposed to be independent was also bent on knees in front on him.
He, along with his henchman Amit Shah appoints supreme court justices, election commissioners unilaterally.
If he cannot weaponize those agencies on someone, then he coheres the state governments to go after them. He uses these tactics to not only suppress the opposition but also to force a political coalition in states his party cannot win alone.
He first throws people in the jail and then makes a deal. And once the deal is set, the Supreme Court who had been denying bail for several times will magically grant the bail.
A best example is a magazine from the south Indian state that published the attached cartoon in protest of Modi government's approval of US deporting illegal aliens to India in handcuffs. Modi banned this cartoon on all over internet in India, and ordered the magazine to be shutdown.
Facebook, YouTube and Twitter were bent down in India to Modi's tune. If he asks to shadownban an account or completely remove content/accounts, they'll comply without a second thought.
That ignorant stupid bitch Palki Sharma that you and John rely on for Indian news is modi's mouthpiece now.
